Arlene Candler Taylor - September 15, 1933 - November 01, 2018

Departed: 11/01/2018 (Temecula)
Obituary Preview: Arlene Candler Taylor was born I Hugo, OK, the sixth child of eight children born to David E. Candler and Loretta W. Candler. Jesus said, “…Well done, good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. (Matt 25:23)” Arlene, age 85, joined in heaven, her mother and father, husband Robert, son Robert II, five brothers Leon, David, George, James and William; two sisters Burnell Watson and Bernice Hooker and granddaughter Tammi Griffin.
She received her training from San Diego City College and became an electronics technician for more than 20 years. Mother Taylor was also a gifted, consummate, extremely skilled and accomplished crocheter. She was very versatile and crocheted elaborate bedspreads, afghans, throws and blankets in any stitch pattern and any yarn weight. She was also an accomplished seamstress and tailor. The finished products of her outstanding creations were nothing short of perfection and were equal in quality to any high-end department store. God truly blessed her with these gifts. She was known, as well, for her cooking skills and was often referred to “as the best cook in town!” She thoroughly enjoyed cooking.
Mother Taylor leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory two daughters, Connie J Armstead and Sheila A. Jenkins; three grandchildren Robert Maurice Taylor III, Shannon D. Taylor-Carter, and Shamonique M. Boyd; great granddaughters Taylor C. Payne and Emma D. Carter and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was loved by so many family members and friends.
Mother Taylor was a great woman, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, loving and faithful friend. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her! We will miss her smile, her laugh, her hugs and love. God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed her loving eyes and whispered, “Peace Be Thine.” The weary hour…the days of pain…her sleepless nights are in the past
