Stacy L. Sweeney - October 26, 1969 - April 01, 2022

Departed: 04/01/2022 (Indianapolis)
Obituary Preview: Stacy Lynn Sweeney, 52, of Indianapolis died on April 1, 2022.
Born October 26, 1969 Stacy was the second oldest of six children and always delighted in being part of a very large and extended family.  Stacy attended Brentwood elementary school in Plainfield, Lincoln Middle school and Pike High school, graduating in 1988.  Stacy also graduated from culinary school and often engaged in her passion of coordinating weddings and other party events.
If you knew Stacy you loved Stacy.  She was full of light.  She was extremely smart.  She was sarcastic and witty.  She was compassionate and empathetic.  She had a fantastic sense of humor, often sending random and crazy memes to family and friends at the of oddest hours.  She had a distinctive laugh that was contagious and she always had a funny follow-up comment to literally anything being discussed. Stacy was passionate about music, food and travel.  And before she was a mother, she combined these three passions into several concert road trips around the country, wearing her tie-dyed twirly skirts and beads while selling spaghetti out of the back of her van. She also loved a beautiful sunset and often called her mother to ask, “Mom, are seeing the same fantastic sunset that I am right now?”
Her greatest joy in life, however, was her four beautiful sons and grandson, whom she loved in abundance and took care of with a fierce heart.  From Mason and Riley to Colin and Connor she reveled in being a soccer mom and a coach, as well as a wrestling and basketball mom.  Countless practices, games and tournaments provided for Stacy true happiness only a parent could understand.  When her precious grandson Elliott was born, he and his “Si-Si” became inseparable. Elliott brought a new level of happiness and pride to her life and she cherished each and every day.
Stacy is survived by her four sons, Mason, Riley, Colin and Connor Paterniti; grandson Elliott; parents, Chris Sweeney and Nancy and Steve Rasmussen; seven siblings, Carrie (Pat) Cavanaugh, Brady (Karen) Sweeney, Tim (Annie) Sweeney, Casey (Joy) Sweeney, Haley (Brian) Church, Cindy (John) Berck, Shari (Jeff) Clark and 21 nieces and nephews.
