Obituary Preview: Georgianna Gwen Sams Warren, 67, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 in Nashville , TN.
She was born on December 29, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida to Tom and Pauline Sams.  Being born into a military family, she grew up in Kansas, California, and Morocco, Africa before settling in Tennessee.  She graduated from Maplewood High School and then Lipscomb University with a degree in office administration, later returning to complete her CPA degree.  She had a successful career working for several financial institutions and later opened her own accounting firm.  She cherished God over every accomplishment in life, and this was best reflected in her service through Northside Church of Christ, the Joy Bus and Inner City Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, tom and Pauline (Polly) Sams, she is survived by her daughter, Tamara Warren; son, Joel Warren III; grandchildren, Gavin and Graham Warren.
The family will have  Visitation on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 am at Northside Church of Christ, 1375 Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville, TN and followed by a Memorial at 11:00 am.

Obituary Preview: Effie Lynn Raynes, 56, of Cross Plains, TN., passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Effie was born in Nashville, TN to the late Tony and Melba Pennington.  She is survived by her loving husband, James B Raynes of Cross Plains, her daughter, Tennelle (Jason) White of Greenbrier, her son, Chris (Brittney) Raynes of Greenbrier, four grandchildren, Olivia White, Brody White, Harlee Raynes and Brantlee Raynes, her sister's, Rhonda (Mark) Kois of TX, Fran Wheeler of Nashville, her nephew, Brandon (Kelly) Wheeler of Murfreesboro, her special friends, Jennifer (Michael) Hansel of Hendersonville. Effie was a giver and caretaker and called everyone "Baby".  Effie was big on family traditions and Sunday dinners and Thanksgiving being her favorite holiday.  Effie had a love of her family and a greater love for her grandchildren.  She...."always lived for the day...not tomorrow" The family will have a Celebration of Life at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN.  Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 3pm, with visitation and reception immediately following the service

Obituary Preview: Robert L Capps, 38, of Greenbrier, TN., passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his home.  Robert is preceded in death by his father, Darrell L Capps, his grandparents, Robert Henry Brundige and Dora Carrolleen Brundige, and Jacob Loren Capps and Hazel Ruth Capps.  He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Randy Wingard of Greenbrier, TN, his sister, Dara Lynsey (Eric) Capps-Hurst of Sevierville, TN., nephew, Damion Hurst of Sevierville, TN and Uncle, Brian (Vera) Brundige of New Market, TN., aunt, Betty Capps Longhenry of Morristown, TN, uncle, John Robert Capps of Morristown, TN., aunt, Kathy Capps Levine and  Special God Aunt & God Uncle, Connie & Jim Welch of New Market, TN., and several cousins.
Robert was unique in that he was an excellent free-hand graphic artist, he collected comic books and loved to visit Comic Conventions when in town, he loved playing video games and watching science fiction movies.  He liked all kinds of sciences.  He was known for his gentle and kind disposition and the love he had for his mother. The family will have a Celebration of Life in Morristown, TN on Friday, April 23, 2021, starting at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 6301 Hiawatha Rd. Morristown, TN 37814

Obituary Preview: Peggy A Trapp, 85, of Greenbrier, TN, passed away, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Peggy was born in Eddyville, KY to the late Thomas and Magdalene Towery.  Peggy is also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Richard D Trapp and her brother, Tommy Towery.
Peggy is survived by her Son's, Rick (Maria) Trapp of Greenbrier, Duane (Tonya) Trapp of Greenbrier, brother, Bob Towery of KY, Grandchildren, Lauren Trapp, Logan Trapp, Macy Trapp and Lacy Trapp.
Peggy was a teacher for 38 plus years and she touched many of her students lives is so many ways and was a great mentor to them.  Many of her past students would drop by her house to just to let her know what a difference she made in their lives and where they were now.  She had a love of quilting and collecting quilts.  She had a great sense of humor and had a love of her late husband, Richard,  that was greater than anyone could imagine.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN, in the Chapel, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 , Visitation 10am to 12pm with service to follow at 12pm.

Oglethorpe, GA, his father, Phillip J Henderson, Sr., his daughter, Angel Henderson of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, his sister, Tina Henderson of Nashville, TN and his special friend, Renee Johnson of Madison, TN.
Phillip loved to be in the outdoors gardening and landscaping.  He was a true race car fan and love a good cold beer. from time to time.
Phillip requested to be cremated and have  his ashes spread at his favorite sites to visit, the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Myrna Joy Knudson, 79, of Greenbrier, TN, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home under the care of Comfort Care Hospice and surrounded by her family.  Myrna was born in Montour Falls, NY to the late Nelson and Elizabeth Parker.  She is also preceded in death by her brother's, Scott Parker and Doug Parker.  She is survived by her loving husband, Alton Knudson of Greenbrier, TN, her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Weiser of Springfield, TN, and grandchildren, Andrew Yeager and Allison Hardison, and her son, Eric Knudson of Greenbrier, TN and grandchildren, Vickie Tamyo and Elizabeth Thomason.
Myrna loved to read and was a super fan of all the NCIS TV series.  She had a green thumb when it came to plants and  before her illness, she loved to camp and travel.

Obituary Preview: Sandra Joan Love, of Greenbrier, TN, beloved to all who knew her, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the age of 72, in Nashville, TN.  Sandra was born in New Prospect, TN to the late William and Willie Mae Fleeman.  Sandra is also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert "Bob" Fleeman, Betty Clayton, Denton Fleeman, Ramona Williams and Jack Fleeman.  Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David Love of Greenbrier, TN, siblings, Mary Francis Griffin of Franklin, TN, Tom (Nancy) Fleeman of Smyrna, TN, children, John David (Susan) Love of Nashville, TN, James Matthew (Laura) Love of Greenbrier, TN, Jay Paul (Anne) Love of Hendersonville, TN., grandchildren, Ryan Love, Alex Love, Rebekah Love, Lucinda Love, Nate Love, Colette Love, Elsa Love and Lauren Love and numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman of deep abiding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Sandra was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Springfield, TN and loved to serve her church community.
Sandra and David were blessed to travel to many beautiful places in the world, but to Sandra, no view rivalled the fall season of their home state of Tennessee.  Sandra worked for many years in the Tennessee Department of Health and followed that career in real estate, finding great reward in helping people find their dream home.  Sandra played a pivotal part in the family business, Care Line Inc., over the past decades with her great attention to detail and love of people.  She loved to work outside in her flower garden and while hydrangeas were her favorite flowers outside, she had an extraordinary knack in growing the most beautiful orchids inside her home.  Sandra was an excellent seamstress and cook, and was the organizing force for the large celebratory family get-togethers.  Family has always been most important to Sandra and she has been a steadfast, loving presence in the lives of her precious children and grandchildren.  A faithful steward of the Lord's gifts, Sandra was a true Proverbs 31 woman.
The family will have a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 3pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Springfield, TN, a BBQ dinner and fellowship will follow and all are invited to attend.

Paul had a love of photography, sunsets, sunrises and nature.  He was also an avid computer gamer.
The family will have a Memorial Service Saturday, April 3, 2021,  at First Freewill Baptist Church, Springfield, TN.  Bro. Judson Phenicie will provide a short service starting at 2pm, then there will be a visitation and family gathering afterwards until 4 pm.
The family requests any plants be indoor/outdoor, no cut flower arrangements. No food at church, please.

Angela was known for being a hard worker and loyal employee.  She loved, loved, loved the BEACH! She also loved motorcycles rides to see the sites.

Donna Louise Hawkins - September 10, 1943 - February 22, 2021

Obituary Preview: Donna Hawkins, of Goodlettsville, TN died peacefully on February 22, 2021, surrounded by her four loving children.  A Cherished mother, lively Nana, loyal sister, friend and a beloved wife of 56 years, she is now enjoying a heavenly reunion with her husband, Rev. Gordon Hawkins, who precedes her in death.
One of five siblings, Donna was born on September 10, 1943, to Marjorie and Rev. Daryl Harris in Lansing, MI.  The family moved across the South, and then settled in Old Hickory, TN, where Donna and Gordon later raised their four children, Donna is remembered by many in the community as the owner of Donna's Hair Salon in Old Hickory for nearly 30 years, and a crossing guard for Andrew Jackson Elementary School.
She is survived by her siblings; Glenn Harris, Frank Harris, Susan Murphy, and Marjorie Wheeler, her children; Daphne Hawkins Parker, Suzanne Jackson, Gordon Hawkins, Jr., and Misty Maynor, and grandchildren ; Karah Jackson, Lauren Jackson, Eli Hawkins, Leah Jackson, Dayan Parker, Sadie Parker, Izac Hawkins, Avery Maynor, Baileigh Maynor and Sawyer Maynor.
A graveside service will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 am.

Bryan was a chef and owned several restaurants, he had a passion for playing the drums in several bands and his hobby was woodworking..

Obituary Preview: Adrian Scott Strange of Greenbrier, TN was 48 years old.  He passed away on February 14, 2021 after battling cancer.  He was with his wife of 16 years, married for 12 to his soulmate and best friend, Ashley Strange on June 13, 2008.
He has left behind his wife Ashley Strange and his dog Cozmo.  His mother Peggy Lee and her boyfriend Chris Lesner.  Brother Tim Mallory and his wife Abbie and his two nieces, Savannah and Olivia Mallory.  His in-laws, Harold and Ruthie Gay and brother-in-law Brad Gay and sister-in-law Abby Gay and nephew, Will Gay. As well as numerous more family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey George Strange.  His grandmother, Mamie Louise Williams Lee and grandfather, Clarence Lee Jr.
Adrian loved to fish tournaments and go hunting.  He loved Alabama football, ROLLTIDE!   He worked as a cabinet installation supervisor for over 30 years.  He was a member at Grace Baptist Church in Springfield, TN , was a Christian and Loved the Lord.  He Loved to Farm and help his family and friends with anything, he always said that God put him here to help others.  He will be Forever Remembered and missed dearly.
There will be a private ceremony with Family and friends at a later date.

Thomas Edward Cuff - November 03, 1948 - February 12, 2021

Obituary Preview: Thomas Edward Cuff, 72, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.  Tom was born on November 3, 1948 in Hancock, MI and raised by his loving parents, Thomas and Bertha Cuff.
He married his high school sweetheart, Gayle, on June 7, 1969 and raised their daughter, Tina in Marquette, MI.  They moved to Greenbrier, TN in 2009 and were active members of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church.  Those who knew Tom would describe him as someone who was a proud family man, a true patriot, and a kind soul.  You could always catch him watching his Detroit Red Wings, Green Bay Packers or making cards on his Cricut.
He served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1969.  During his military career, he fought in the Vietnam War and received various awards and medals.  Tom was a proud founding and board member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 380 in Marquette, MI.  He was an active part of the honor and color guard and member of the American Legion.  Tom retired from the Marquette Board of Light and Power in 2001.
He is survived by his loving bride of 51 years, Gayle Cuff, Daughter Tina (John) Hust of Greenbrier, TN, Grandson, Andrew Hust of Colorado Springs, CO, Granddaughter, Ashlee (Justin) Wiser and Great-granddaughter, Tinley Wiser of Fayetteville, TN.  Mother, Bertha Cuff of Marquette, MI, his three sisters, Kathy (Pat) Malay of Gwinn, MI, Deanna (Greg) Adams of Marquette, MI and Carol (Mike) York of Shakopee, MN, his brother, Bruce (Pat) Wagner of Mohawk, MI along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his Father, Thomas J Cuff, grandparents, Mary (Babe) and Thomas D Cuff and brother James Kahler.
The family will have a Memorial Service at a future date.

Son-in-law, Samuel Ninchritz and Daughter-in-laws, Andrea Eakes and Krista Hope. 5 Grandchildren, Braidyn, Jaziah, Elenya, Valor, Juliette and Best friend Lisa Quinn.
Jessica loved spending time with her family.  She said "the grandkids make my world go round".  She always loved helping others and will be be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Jessica requested to be cremated and the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Max was a retired Army Veteran and a devoted husband and father.  He was a loyal friend to those who knew him.  He had a wicked sense of humor and a love of a good joke.  He was an avid reader and fond of older Sci-fi films.  During family get togethers, he would cook up bacon in his signature style that left everyone wanting more.  After 20+ years of working outside, he preferred the comforts of home.  For the last 5 years, he has battled cancer, lung disease, and brain infections.  On January 31, 2021, he finally lost the war.  He will be missed by all who knew him.
