Obituary Preview: The life of Elder Beulah Massey Darden began in Wayne County, NC on January 7, 1946. She was the eighth child of Ralph and Eva Mae Best Darden.  Beulah went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 28, 2017 at the age of 71.
Beulah attended Wayne County Public School Systems and graduated with her GED from the first adult GED program in Selma, NC. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Johnston Community College. and attained her Masters Degree in Biblical Studies from Safe Haven Bible College. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly and was a member of Goldsboro Raleigh Assembly, Smithfield Senior Citizens Center, and an ordained Elder at St. Peters Disciple Church of Christ. Beulah enjoyed socializing and getting out in the community.  She loved all children from the neighborhood and never met a stranger.  Beulah had a way of making everyone feel like they were her favorite.  She showed God’s love in her, by giving out hugs and kisses to EVERYONE!!
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents Ralph & Eva Mae Darden, and Cleophas Massey; and her son, Eugene Darden.  She leaves her precious memories to her nine children: Marie (Rebecca) Darden-Perry, Anthony (Levada) Darden, Shelton Darden, Sharon Darden, Evangelist Michelle Darden Pender, Margaret Owens, Pastor Roberta McGill, Bishop Robert (First Lady Jaqueline) Owens, and Latasha Owen.  Three brothers: Randolph Darden, Ralph (Mary) Darden, and Edward (Sue) Darden; three sisters: Lucille Sykes, Elizabeth Jones, and Margaret Elliot.   Eleven grandchildren: Julius Blackwell, Antonio Darden, Jessica (Carmen) Owens-Haskins, Antawin (Yahsmine) Cole, Minister LeShawn (Kelly) Edouard, Chelton Darden, Brian Sanders, Marchelle Sanders, De’Ja McGill, Robert Owens Jr., and Vanessa Owen; five great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Za’Niyria, Maliki, Isiah E., Trinity; her special friend Mr. Theodore Custis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
