Obituary Preview: Marlene (Lyons) Dean, age 82 passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Fort Worth Texas. She was born, December 13, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the parentage of Ernest and Margaret (Joseph) Lyons. She was the middle child of three brothers and three sisters.
In 1960, Marlene relocated to California where she met and married Summer Dean in 1967 and they became the proud parents of two children David and Donzelle. Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend.
Her favorite pastimes were assisting with the raising of her grandchildren; watching TV games shows and dramatic movies. She also supported her husband during his illness, until his death in 2013.
Marlene is preceded in death by her loving husband Summer Dean, parents; Ernest and Margaret Lyons.
Marlene was caring and loving until the Lord called her home on March 21, 2023. She will be missed and greatly loved, by all who knew her, Forever.

She was preceded in death by her children Edgar Saldana and Michael Saldana. She has many grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a mother to many that needed her and her unconditional love. She worked for many years as a Master cosmetologist and owned her own salon. The joy of her life was her family and friends and her relationship with her God. She was strong and unwavering in her faith. She will be greatly missed.

He dedicated his time with the Tarrant County Jail Ministry. He served, faithfully, as guitarist and Minister at Samuel Baptist Church under the leadership of The Late Dr. Joel L. Talton, Sr. William served as musician at Good Shepherd Temple of Praise, GSTOP, Fort Worth, Texas, Pastor Charlie E. Nickerson, and Totally Committed Christian Outreach Center, Pastor Marvin & Elect Lady Margie Davis Duncanville, Texas, and Providence Baptist Church, Rev. Keith Foster.
William R. Ransom departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at his residence surrounded by loved ones in Mansfield, Texas. He was preceded in death by parents, William Ransom (father), Margaret Ransom (mother), Roshunda Asher (daughter) and Ryder Dancer (great grandson).

Sgt. Katherine Norwood Horton was a proud veteran of the Texas Army National Guard 249th Signal Battalion and 49th Armored Division. Katherine valued her service highly. She attained the rank of E5, having served faithfully and honorably, was retired from the United States Army on November 6th, 2002, after serving 25 years of Service.
Preceding her in death was her parents Bettie Lee Dears Norwood and Otis Norwood, brothers; Lee Otis Norwood and Monroe Norwood.
Katherine is survived by her loving family - son; Nolan Wendle Banks (Mary Catherine), grandson; Darrian Antoine Banks, two great grandchildren; Zaylen and Caliyah Banks all of Columbus, Ohio, sister; Curley Taft Bradley of Fort Worth, Texas, her faithful and loyal friends Wanita Lovell, Dawn Briggs, Phillip Briggs, Joyce Franz, special friend; Curtis Penix and a host of relatives and friends.

Violetta LaTane Murphy was born to the parentage of Gloria Helen Hollman and Jessie James Murphy in Fort Worth, Texas, at Carswell Air Force Base on September 20, 1951. Sandy, as she was affectionately known, entered Our Mother Catholic School in Kindergarten and matriculated through the ninth grade. She then entered Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, where she was a member of the Wildcat’s Cheerleading Squad and graduated in the Class of 1969.
Sandy continued her educational pursuits at Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas and All Saints School of Nursing, where she fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse.
Sandy enlisted in the United States Air Force November 12, 1971, and was honorably discharged. Being reared in Christian home, Sandy united with Mt Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, under the leadership of N. L. Robinson.
Sandy’s life became seasoned with love when she met and married George Lester Hayes. To this union five children were born and raised. She later married Charles Jeter, Sr. and to this union one child was born. On June 21, 2008, she married Tommy Kingyon and remained in a loving and devoted relationship until her demise.
She started a career with General Motors – Arlington Plant and later transferred to the Kansas City Plant. After 22 years of devoted service, she retired. After retirement, Sandy returned to her first love of nursing, where she cared for and nurtured patients until the time of her demise. When Sandy was not working, she loved bowling, skating, riding her motorcycle and traveling. She had a very compassionate heart, which led to a benevolence ministry, resulting in her starting a greeting card ministry, as well as serving in prison ministry.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Violetta “Sandy” Murphy Kingyon answered The Master’s Call and entered eternal rest. She received a celebratory welcome from her father, Jessie James Murphy; brothers, Spergeon Murphy, Claude Murphy and Michael Murphy; sister, Michelle Gaston; and April Kingyon, all whom preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tommy Kingyon; children, Corey (Alanna), Larkette (Courtney), LaNisha (Anthony), Leslie, LaShinda (Corey) and Charles (LaTosha); mother, Gloria Gatson (Lucas); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, bonus children, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a lover of beautiful flowers/gardens and a kind-hearted person. Jean truly appreciated the beauty of this world. Her love and bright smile will stay with us always.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Donald Johnson and by her son, Billy Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Valorie (Richard) Strauss and Julie Johnson. Also, her daughter in law, Gigi Johnson. RayAnn is predeceased by her Father, Raymond Minor, her mother, Violet Christine Krause, Brothers Sherwin, Grant and Bruce all from Chicago Illinois.
RayAnn is survived by her husband Arnold Martinez, daughter Jennifer Callison, stepson Aden Martinez, grandkids Cole and Evan, brother Raymond Minor and many nieces and nephews and friends.
RayAnn was a loving wife and mother full of unconditional love and loyalty.
RayAnn will be missed tremendously and she will always be in our hearts forever.

Obituary Preview: Jayden Crown Pitts made his grand appearance on Saturday, December 17 th , 2022 to the proud parents of Joshua Charles Pitts and Jazzlin Diamond Green.
Jayden was a fighter; he moved his hands and feet so much that the nurses gave him the nick-name “Feisty”. He was able to live through the Dallas Cowboys beating the Eagles, his first Christmas, and listen to his mom’s prayers asking for Jayden to be given another day on earth. Joshua and Jazzlin held Jayden for the first time, while he was being held he tried to open his eyes and squeeze our fingers one last time Jayden Crown Pitts took his last breath in his father arms at 1:04a.m. on December 27th, 2022. Jayden lived for ten short days and his name will live forever in our hearts!! He left behind his parents Joshua and Jazzlin, three brothers; Joshua Jr, Diamond, Joseph, loving grandparents; Charles Pitts, Latheshia Hardy, John Green, and Sheila Griffin. Jayden would have been cherished by seven uncles, eight aunties, and an army of cousins!

Obituary Preview: On September 30, 1998, Ashel Atem Arop and Maluw Aler Deng welcomed a precious son, Maluw Deng into the world. Maluw was born in Khartoum Sudan. In 2000, he relocated with his family and moved to Texas, eventually settled down in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Maluw received his formal education from the Grand Prairie Independent School District (GPISD), Sally Moore Elementary, Andrew Jackson Middle School and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School.
Maluw was athletically gifted and was introduced to his first love basketball. There was never a moment Maluw wasn’t working on perfecting and developing his skills His performances on the basketball court made him an inspiration to all. Throughout middle school and high school Maluw‘s talents brightly shined every time he stepped on the court. Maluw’s hard work and dedication allowed him to use his skills and talents to play basketball for Concordia University.
While attending Concordia University, Maluw studied business and found a great passion for Real Estate. He followed his desire with real estate with some friends and coordinated the purchase of a home. They renovated and use it as a rental property. Most of all Maluw always shared his successful achievement of his real estate dreams and news with his family, especially his mother.
Maluw also concurrently started his own brand called “Exclusivewaay” which consisted of video editing services as well as a car detailing service/business. He was always open to listening and creating new ideas that could possibly lead to other successful achievements.
Maluw always seemed to brighten up every room with his lighthearted, playful demeanor and most of all his smile. As for his family and friends, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them with his enormous heart. Maluw positively impacted everyone he met and knew just by around him and his willful spirit.

Obituary Preview: Kelvin R. Richardson, age 62 of Justin Texas passed away on October 9, 2022 after a long hard battle with multiple myeloma.
He was born in Fort Worth Texas to the late Howard & Bessie Richardson.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Roy Ashford.
Kelvin worked at Bell Helicopter for 26 years doing multiple jobs & making many lifelong friends.
He enjoyed traveling with his family seeing new places and creating memories any and everywhere he went with his famous camcorder. Kelvin's mission in life was to make those around him always feel loved & appreciated. He also loved spending lots of time with his grandkids: Bailey, Kendra, Ayden, Tiera, Shayla, Myah, Ethan, Braylon and Brantley; playing and teaching them new things.
Kelvin was a sports fanatic. A die-hard Steelers fan especially. He also enjoyed attending his grandkids’ different sporting events.
Strong and silent, always fair and forever smiling Kelvin lived his life truly reflective of Christ. He always stood for what was right, always focusing on the positive in any situation. He loved deeply and diligently. You could always count on his bright eyes unforgettable smile; a smile that could make the worse moments feel like we could get through it. He was a loving brother who cherished his sisters and brother. A family man who everyone admired and a loyal friend in all circumstances. Most of all, Kelvin was a praying man. He had complete faith and trust in the Lord and he lived his life as an example.
He is survived by his wife Pamela; daughters Danica Richardson and Melody Niblett; sons: Marcus Richardson, Jerry Whitten (Sara) and Richard Niblett; sisters: Edna Richardson and Darlene Richardson; brother Tim Slums and bonus brother Larry Griffin.
Our dad, husband, papaw, brother & uncle will be greatly missed. He was definitely a saint to us all and we will all have a piece of us forever missing. Johnson, and friends. Larry also enjoyed playing chess, proudly teaching the game to his nephew Jarvistan (Rocky) Johnson and nieces Crystal Betts and
Shermesha Johnson. Larry Charles Willis was a dedicated employee until his death. In 2014, Larry received the Driver of the Year Award (Tanker) from Sunset Logistics Inc. Larry was incredibly proud of this prestigious award. He later retired in 2021 from Sunset Logistics Inc. Recently, in 2022, Larry began driving for T-Force Freight. Even though Larry was an employee at T-Force Freight for a short period, his work ethic, motivation, and determination as a model employee touched many
of his co-workers. Larry’s surviving family members are his mother Mary Ray-Johnson; his son Larry Kimone Willis; his siblings: Vernon Lee Hodge, Fannie Henderson (Benny), Rev. Sherman Lee Johnson
(Benetha), Marilyn D. Johnson-Brown (Rev. Ray Brown), and Dr. Debra Taylor-Smith (John).
