Born April 23, 1967, in Rochester, he was the son of Cheryl (Yanyanin) Maslek and the late Greg Maslek.
A 1985 graduate of Freedom Area High School, he received his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he played basketball.
He furthered his education at Brandon University in Canada where he met his wife.
Steve had a successful career as Chief Administrative Officer for Cim Investment Management, Inc. He was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, in Aliquippa, C.F.U., S.N.F., Conway Croatian Club, Freedom Serbian Club, and over the years served in a variety of roles supporting these organizations.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved son, Mitchell Edwards Maslek. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Ellen (Joseph) Filar; two nieces, and many friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Lee Ann (Edwards) Maslek.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 4pm until 7pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001. Pomen (blessing service) will be held Thursday at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
Steve will be laid to rest privately next to his wife at Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom, PA.

Obituary Preview: Stella “Tootsie” Mraovich, 95, of Aliquippa, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024. Born in Aliquippa on August 28, 1928, to Vujo and Ann (Skorich) Polojac, she was the eldest of eight children.
Stella enjoyed a 30-year career at Anchor Hocking Glass Company before retiring. Devoted to her family, Stella will be remembered for her energy, independence, and caring spirit.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Semovoski; grandson, Jason Semovoski (Janell) and great-granddaughter, Sara (Milwaukee, WI); sister, Doroty Bucan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Nick Mraovich; grandson, Eric Semovoski; sister, Mildred "Mimi" Domladovac; and brothers, Sam, Robert, and Rody Polojac.
Stella was a faithful member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, where she actively participated in the Circle of Serbian Sisters. She was passionate about baking, crocheting, and celebrating her Serbian heritage. Above all, Stella was a devoted Orthodox Christian, a cherished mother, grandmother, and “Bubbie” great-grandmother. May her memory be eternal.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Cambridge Village and hospice nurse Rhonda Pintur for their exceptional care.

She was married for 50 years to the love of her life, the late Ronald J. Champe. Together, they raised their daughters Kim (Jeff) Dengler and Michelle (Larry) Kiec.
Donna was the most selfless and caring Mom. Donna’s pride and joy were not only her daughters, but her three grandchildren, whom she called her “Rugrats”, Austin, Jarin, and Hunter. Being a Grammy to them, was one of her biggest joys in life.
Donna was a beloved leader of her church, House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Aliquippa. She was a fixture at kids’ activities and service activities for the neighborhood.
She loved her many friends, and enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and shopping with them.
Donna’s life was centered around family and loving one another. She was a vibrant personality and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Donna’s family would like to thank the amazing doctor’s, nurse’s and all staff members who cared for her at Allegheny General Hospital’s Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care Unit. Their expertise, compassion and love were displayed every day to her family. We are forever grateful.

She graduated from Donora High School, Duff's Business Institute, Beaver County Community College, and Penn State Paralegal School. Her career focus was legal secretary and worked at the Capital and N.R.A. in Washington D.C. She was a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Hopewell Township. She had a passion for Ballroom Dancing and was an award-winning competitor and instructor at Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray, and Continental Dance Studios in Wash. D.C., NYC, NY and Pittsburgh, PA. She was a former member and married at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church. She attended Orthodox Churches, Aliquippa Baptist Temple, and Salvation Army and worked at Shiflet Enterprises, Hospital Baby Picture Service for 20 years. She retired from Beaver County Courthouse, Juvenile Services/Allencrest after 27 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Maxim and Ann Lario; her son, Lewis J. Petrovich, Jr., and her former husband, Lewis Petrovich, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Jon Mark (Lisa) Petrovich; her daughter, Lisa (Charles) Petrovich; granddaughters and grandson, Erica, Elizabeth, and Charlie; her special loving brother, Andrew Maxim Lario; her loving niece Veronica (Max) Lario; special family friend, Jane (Norm) Fennych; special family friend Karen Mignella, and special friends of the Jane Delanko Family.
Lori's Family is especially grateful to the staff at Dr. Tatum's, Sewickley Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospice at the Beaver Medical Center for the care and dignity they provided.
A devoted Christian, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother who started with humble beginnings who worked hard and sacrificed her whole life for her loving family. She especially loved family gatherings and dinners. She will be tremendously missed.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Annette Maravich; a granddaughter, Ava Fleming; a brother, Nicholas (Karen) Maravich; a niece Heather Harold; stepchildren, Kevin Lalama, Danny Lalama, Eric Lalama, and Amy Lalama, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Karen (Resanovich) Benson, his children, Michael Benson, of West Newton, PA, Brian Benson, of Midland, PA, Christina (Joel) Bish, of Rochester; his grandchildren, Shane Benson, Avery Bish, Elena Bish, and Noah Bish; his siblings, Donald Jr. (Carol) Benson, Susan (Tom) Hogan, Mary (Carmen); nieces and nephews, Kirah Welsh, Mike, Jimmy and John Benson.

Joseph William Hall - June 21, 1942 - April 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: Joseph William Hall, 81, of Center Township, PA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 21, 1942, in Georges Township, PA, to Raymond and Frances Hall, Joseph “Joe” was the second of five children. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the time the Berlin Wall went up. Following his service, he married his beloved wife, Louise Majesky, on December 15, 1962, at St. Thomas Parish in Footdale, PA. They settled in Bellevue, PA, where he continued his career in restaurant management.
In early 1981, Joe and Louise purchased a small tavern in the Hopewell Shopping Center, and on April 25, 1981, they opened J.W. Hall’s Steak & Seafood Inn. Joe’s motto has always been that the customer comes first. One of his favorite sayings was, “It’s simple: Have good food and good service and they will come back.” In early 2023, Joe and Louise turned over the ownership of J.W. Hall’s to longtime general manager Donna Klesser and her family. The Klesser/Gleisberg family continue to uphold the quality service and food that Joe established.
In addition to his business endeavors, Joe was passionate about golf and a good poker game. His family is proud to say that during his active golfing years he had four holes-in-one and “shot his age” three times. He loved to cook for family and friends at home, and enjoyed technology, travel, and road trips to be with family and extended family.
Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise; his son, Brian Hall and his wife, Theresa, of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA; grandsons Joseph Hall and his wife, Sarah Anderson, of Palo Alto, CA; Roger Hall of Danvers, MA; and William Kerr of Center Township; a sister, Sandra Nicholson, of Connellsville; many cherished nieces and nephews; and friendships that spanned the decades.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Lynn Hall Kerr; and his siblings, Raymond, Shirley, and Rudy.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4pm until 7pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Louis Paul Galletta; her son, Louis Anthony Galletta; brother John Raso; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Norma Raso; sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Richard Arrigo, and sister-in-law, Agatha Raso.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lynn (Michael) Wolkenstein; brother, Bruno Raso; sister-in-law, Gwen Raso, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family.

Born July 8, 1963, in Aliquippa, he was the son of Lori Petrovich, of Hopewell Twp., and the late Lewis J. Petrovich, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Jon Mark Petrovich (Lisa); sister Lisa Petrovich (Charles); nieces and nephew, Erica, Elizabeth, and Charlie; special Uncle Mac; special cousin Veronica (Max); special family friend Jane Fennych (Norm), and the Jane Delanko family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a special cousin, Gene Dewey.
Friends will be received Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4pm until 7 pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
A service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, at 12:00pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa, PA with Captain Villazana, officiating, followed by the Beaver County Special Unit conducting military honors.

He was a PIAA referee for 25 years as a rules interpreter for basketball and football. John was a State Farm Agent for 40 years before retiring and was State Farm’s first National Television Spokesperson to film a commercial outside of the office. He was a member of Solid Rock Church in Winter Haven. He was a member of Lake Ashton Country Club and was a lifetime member of State Farm’s Presidents Club. He was a Ham radio operator with the highest certification and his call sign was WN3W.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Audry Chickness; sons, John Chickness, Jr. of Baden, Pennsylvania and Thomas Chickness (Pam) of Harmony, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Andrea Chickness-Lewis (Isaac), Dr. Jason Chickness (Karley) and Brook Chickness-Quintero (Christian).
A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
Private interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa, PA.

Dave was born May 20th, 1948, son to the late Luke and Rose (Tarallo) Maggi.
Dave was a retired Vice President of 30 years at Red Valve Corp, where so many of his employees thrived under his leadership. He was a life long member of Montour Heights Country Club, where he loved spending time perfecting his golf game (or trying to); and, many hours spent with a great group of guys, in the gin room. (Best player in the room) But his favorite thing to do was spending time with his wife Michele, with whom he shared a very special love.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Michele (Trobak) Maggi, two sons, Greg (Amanda), Todd (Jenn) Maggi, 5 grandchildren, Amelia, Josh (Courtney) Aaron, Luke, and Marco, and the newest addition, great grandson Oliver. Dave could not have loved, or been more proud of each of them. In addition he is survived by two brothers Paul (Cathy), Daniel Maggi, two sisters, Diane, (Tom), Roncone, and Marsha Maggi, as well as numerous brother and sister in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, with which he had uniquely special relationships. Some considered him to be more of a father than an uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dave has touched so many lives with his kindness, words of wisdom, encouraging advice, and to all, one of his most endearing traits... Playful Instigator.

She is survived by her daughter, Georgette and son-in-law Gary from Port Townsend, WA. Nell lost the love of her life George (Skinny) Semick and her son, David (Sem) years ago.
A member of the Saint Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, private services were held for the immediate family at the gravesite.
Her family wants to express sincere thanks to the staff of Franciscan Manor for the many years of quality care provided and to the exceptional members of her Gentiva Hospice Team who were her on-the-ground emotional and physical support during her long struggle.

He was born on May 17, 1925, son of the late Robert and Agnes Symons. He is survived by two brothers, John and James; a daughter Marianne Stalder and husband David; three sons: Robert and wife Catherine; Dennis and wife Brenda; Donald and wife Cynthia, a son-in-law George McCleery, as well as 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and daughter Cheryl McCleery.
He was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was for many years employed by Pittsburgh Tube Company of Monaca, PA.
A charter member of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church, he served for some years on its Administrative Board, and as General Church Treasurer. He was a faithful congregant of the Church in Hopewell Twp.
He became a Christian at a young age and faithfully served his Lord and the Church with steadfast devotion and dedication. A wonderful example to his children, he led them in the ways of the Lord, sharing his wisdom and godly counsel. His faith and love for God were evident always in his daily life.
He was a loving father, devoted to his family, generous and kind, a rock of stability in the lives of those who knew him. Much loved in life, cherished in the memories he left, and followed in the faith and blessed hope of his Lord.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4 - 7 pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA, 15001, and Friday, March 22, 2024, from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa.

Janet was a 1962 graduate of Mount Gallitzin Academy where she was crowned May Queen her senior year.
Janet had an unparalleled work ethic. Through her strong will and tenacity, she successfully owned and operated Diamond Head Trucking, a woman-owned business, with over 25 years of service before retiring. During her retirement, she enjoyed the summer most spent poolside with friends and family in her “back-yard oasis” or working in her yard.
Janet was loved by many and will be fondly remembered for her generous heart, incredible style, humor, independence, and strength.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley (Tim) Blythe; a son, Rodney Smith; three granddaughters, Mallory (Josh) Keele, Bethany and Daniella Smith; three sisters, Catherine Hoover, Linda Dwire, and Colletta McLaughlin; and two brothers, Roderick Prosio and Lyman Katterman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Robert Mark Smith; a sister, Karen Ringhaver; two brothers, Patrick Prosio and Eric Clark; and her former husband, Ron August.
Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Apple Blossom Senior Living Memory Care and Amedisys Hospice for their compassion and care.

Obituary Preview: Timothy Patrick Holpp, 74 of Aliquippa, passed away on March 6, 2024, at the Veterans Medical Center in Oakland. Tim was the son of the late Silvia and Thomas Holpp, both of Aliquippa PA.
Tim attended Hopewell High School before joining the service in May of 1967. He was a Vietnam war veteran, serving as a Sargent in the Air Force and was deployed to Vietnam when he was just 17 years old. Tim’s time in the service was a source of immense pride for him and he shared many stories of that time in his life over the years.
Upon his honorable discharge from the service in 1971, Tim joined the Hopewell Police Department where he continued service as a police officer until his retirement. Tim lived in the Aliquippa area for much of his life and had many lifelong friends in the community. Upon his retirement from the police force, Tim spent his time focused on his family and community of friends.
Tim is survived by and will be deeply missed by his three daughters, Natalie, Melanie, and Valerie and leaves behind seven grandchildren.
Tim loved his parents Silvia and Thomas deeply and we find solace in knowing that he now rests with them in peace.
Cremation entombment will take place Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1:30pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies,  Bridgeville, PA, where full military honors will be preformed for Tim's faithful service to his country.

She retired as an executive secretary from Norfolk and Southern Railroad, with over 30 years of service.
Anty will be fondly remembered as a kind, loving and generous person who will be deeply missed by her sister, Jeanne Crisi, and many loving cousins, relatives, and friends.

He self-described as “Gay as Christmas” and wore his colors proudly, his flair for decorating, fashion, and entertaining is world renowned.
Don worked most of his career in the Hospitality industry, but no matter the position he held, he was always interacting with people providing the best personal service that made him remembered by ALL that he came into contact with.
Don is survived by his father, Elmer in Beaver, brothers; Tom (Brianna) in Elizabethtown, PA, Tim (Dan) in Glen Rock, PA, and Dennis in Aliquippa, nieces; Amanda Gropp (Dylan), Alaina Gillin (Levi), great niece; Violet, and his loyal companion “Ollie” in Fort Lauderdale Fl. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that make up the crazy but loving tribe we call family.
