Joyce was born August 6, 1932, to Frank and Delena (Elliott) Forbes. She was united in marriage to John Milo Bell on April 22, 1950, until his passing in 2000.
She is survived by: a son, John Michael (Phyllis) Bell of Warrenton, MO; grandchildren, Kimberly (Darin) Readnour of Georgetown, IL; Jamie (Brandon) Prosser of O’Fallon, MO; Bryan (Meaghan) Bell and Bradley Bell of Warrenton, MO; great-grandchildren, Logan and Chase Readnour of Georgetown, Morgan and Mason Prosser of O’Fallon, MO, Austin Bell and Zoey Mielke of Warrenton, MO, Emiliee, Abigale and Allison Bell of Montgomery City, MO. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John; granddaughter, Nicole Michelle Bell; brothers, Bill and Kenneth Forbes.
Joyce and John loved to go on RV trips with their motorhome, having been on Holiday Rambler caravans to New England, California and as far away as Alaska. She had been to every state and spent several winters in Florida. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was born in Collison, IL, on May 3, 1936 the daughter of James and Eileen {Wynn} Greer. She was united in marriage to Bill Reynolds on May 28, 1954, in Collison until his passing May of 2015.
Shirley will be missed by: her sons, Randy (LeeAnn) Reynolds & Mike (Helena) Reynolds; her daughter, Sandy (Walt) Starr; her brother, Jim (Carolyn) Greer; her sisters, Doris Kincaid, Rosemary (Bob) Bolton, & Diana (Rodney) Parrish; her grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Starr, Tony (Tara) Reynolds, Darin (Becky) Reynolds, & Lesli Reynolds; and her nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bill; and her infant sister, Sharon.
Shirley enjoyed raising her children and caring for her home. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, and crafts. She was an avid Cubs fan. One of her favorite things was listening to her husband play his guitar. Shirley enjoyed being outside whether tending her veggie garden or camping. Above all, she loved being with her family and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hawthorne Manor Court Nursing Staff and Carle Hospice Staff for the comfort and care they gave to Shirley and the family.

He was born on October 15, 1942, in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Isidore “Izzy” and Margaret {Brown} Hatke, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Carla {Sherry} Hatke on January 20, 2005 in Englewood, Florida. She will miss him dearly.
Andy was a graduate of Lafayette Central Catholic High School. He loved farming. He enjoyed making coffee at the Elevator for the guys and going to farm sales. He was a “John Deer Green” man who loved his family very much.

Obituary Preview: Loretta “June” Schomburg, 81, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Georgetown, left this life on November 1, 2018, at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, Texas. She was born on September 27, 1937, in Westville the daughter of William A. and Edna Rose {Webster} Morrow.
She will be missed by: her daughter, Susan Kendron of Texas; her son, Mark Schomburg of Dallas; her grandsons, Jake & Kyle Schomburg, Matthew & Alex Kitts, all of Texas; her sister, Phyllis Sprouls of Georgetown; her brother, Bob Morrow of Kankakee, IL; and many nieces & nephews, as well as several extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Martin.
June was known as a great person. She was born during the Great Depression and learned that through hard work she could achieve all she wanted. She raised her two children with her rural paper route and had to dig them out of many snowbanks and kept to the mailman’s credo “through rain or snow” as she delivered the paper. She later worked at Carle Clinic in Champaign and enjoyed the drive time for many years until she finally retired.
Even with all that June was responsible for in her life, she was still the first person to help someone if they needed it. She enjoyed sports and was part of a girl’s baseball team for several years earlier in her life and in her later years, enjoyed bowling and won many trophies. June was a wonderful being and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

He was born on April 21, 1922 in Midland, Indiana the son of Fabian and Oleta (Barkauis) Butkus. John married the love of his life, Phyliss Hicks, and lived happily until her passing in 1995.
John and Phyliss had no children of their own but loved their extended family very much. He is survived by: his three great nieces, Marta Ramshaw of Georgetown, Brooke (James) Barker of Osceola, WI, & Amanda (Kevin) Maquet of Danville; one great nephew, Robert (Kristin) Glidewell of Stuart FL; his 13 great-great nieces & nephews; as well as many more family members; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Mitchell and Sophia Butkus; two nieces, Michele Ramshaw and Marta Mitchell; and a great niece, Cassandra Brown.
John was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and courageously served his country. He received six Combat Stars during his service. He was a member of American Legion Dornblaser Post #203 and of St. Issacs Jogues Catholic Church in Georgetown. He was an honorary life-member of the Brotherhood of Locomotion since 1951, after being a train conductor for over forty-two years. John also enjoyed watching football with his nephew by marriage, Bill Ramshaw. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those who will miss her are her three daughters; Susie (Terry) Wiggington of Owensboro, Ky, Patricia (Jerry) Grant of Jefferson,Ga, Cheryl Collins of New Bern, NC, also nine grandchildren; Wendy (Vladi) Kozel, Mark (Pam) Liggett, Jennifer (Jeremy) Hellard, Hiedi (Jeremy) Hershberger, Cory (Heather) Grant, Eric (Ashley) Collins, Jesse (Katelyn)Collins and Brad (Michelle) Collins, Brent Collins, also 25 great-grandchildren.
Mary was well known as the cook for the Georgetown School District for 22 years. She was a member of the Georgetown First Church of Christ and was very active with her Church family. Mary enjoyed many hours of making ceramics and crocheting many items for her family. She was always happy and loved to sing, also playing Bunco with her club.

Obituary Preview: Frances Marie Crook, 80, of Danville, Illinois was born February 20, 1938 in Bement, Illinois. She passed this life to be with her loved ones at 9:50am on October 19, 2018 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. She was the daughter of Dora and Lester Crook formerly of Olivet, Illinois.
Frances was a supportive aunt to her three nieces. Cheryl (Joe) Abbed of California, Aleta (Ray) Garcia of Olivet and Yvonna (Deivis) Carnieri of California, when a tragic accident took their mothers life.
Frances was a fight; she did not let illness stop her form enjoying life. She loved to shop for the latest fashions and was an avid doll collector. She loved to travel all over the country as well as Europe. She often shared her extensive photography collection of her travels with friends and family. She was an excellent cool and was well known for her pecan, pumpkin and blackberry pie.
Frances came from a family of musicians, she played the xylophone, accordion, organ and piano. The Crook reunions were always full of music, singing and rejoicing. Frances was an accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons for over 40 years. Frances graduated from the University of Illinois receiving several degrees as well as a Master’s in Education. She was also and elementary teacher in the Danville school district for many years as well as graduating from the School of Nursing in 1997, working as a home care nurse. She loved children and was an advocate for life-long learning.
You could often find Frances and her dog, Panda, at the Danville Sunset Memorial Park. She loved taking pictures of the adult and baby swans in their beautiful and serene pond. She loved the calm and peaceful setting. She and Panda were always together, he was her faithful companion.
Frances was the youngest of 10 and will be missed by her siblings, Naomi Pickenpaugh from California, Wanda Dunbar from Florida and her beloved brother James Crook of Olivet. James was dedicated to his sister and he will miss her greatly. She will also be missed by her numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Lester Crook, her siblings, Roberta Wise, Rowena Mills, Leland Crook, Amelia Harris, Juanita Baldridge, and Barbara Broyles.
She was a member of the Olivet Church of the Nazarene where her Pastor, Jim Blue, will officiate Memorial Services in her honor. (This is yet to be announced). Any donations can be made to the Olivet Nazarene Church or to a local humane society.

He preceded her in death on October 6, 2011.
Helen is survived by a daughter; Vicki Kilgaski of Springhill, FL and son Donald Tucker (Amy) of Branson, MO.
Helen is survived by 6 loving grandchildren: Troy Henson (Amy), Traci Taylor (Mark), Michael Tucker (Kristin), Bradley Tucker (Mandi), Jesse Tucker, and Mason Tucker and 9 great grandchildren: Kathryn and Madelyn Tucker, Conner and Emily Henson, Trent and Katelyn Taylor, Brandon, Eli and Lydia Tucker.
Helen retired early from General Electric so that she and Ken could move to Florida for their golden years with family. Helen was a member of the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, where she was admired and loved for her commitment to her faith and friendship. After moving to The Vineyard Inn, Helen was the unofficial ambassador to all the residents. Helen made everyone special and part of the Vineyard family.

Debra was born in Danville the daughter of Joseph and Doris (Coonce) Neild Sr. She married Jon Macy in Cayuga, IN on August 24, 1973. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2016.
Deb was a member of Hillary Assembly of God. She worked as a cook at Danville Christian Academy, also at The Dairy Barn. Deb was a servant of God and loved those dear children she served daily at school and those in her Dairy Barn family including the many customers she served. She also was a caregiver for her husband and helped take good care of her mom. Deb loved animals, but she had a special place in her heart for Dalmatians her latest buddy was Buffy. Buffy anxiously awaited Deb’s arrival home at the end of each day. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Deb is her mother Doris, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her father and husband preceded Deb in death.

Cheryl leaves behind her brother Curtis (Cindy Patrick) Pearman, her niece and two nephews; Travis (Melissa) Pearman, Heather (Don) Marrow and Sonny (Stephanie) Pearman, great nieces and nephews, Samuel, Elizabeth, Ava, Aleah, Isabella and Braxton, her special cousin Judy (Clifford) Sawyer.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl was affectionally called AC by her niece and nephews and Sis by her parents and the rest of the family. Cheryl started her working years as a bank teller working for Palmer Bank, Old National and later was the City Clerk in Georgetown. She was always in charge of organizing the games at any family function that she went to. Cheryl was always elected score keeper, making sure things where done fairly. Cheryl enjoyed board games, collecting Bears and Snowmen. She was a member of Vermilion Grove Friends Church. Cheryl most of all loved her family and was always there to help out with any need they had. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 2pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home 200 E. West St Georgetown. Cremation will be accorded after the service with a burial in Forrest Park Cemetery at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda Willming.
Jacqueline was a teacher and taught at High School level in Cissna Park, 33 years at Covington, and 3 years in Jamaica. Jackie was a Godly woman and loved the Lord and people. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville for over 40 years and enjoyed volunteering her time there and helped as a nursery worker. Jacqueline was an avid reader, loved to travel, and held her Kappa Delta Sorority membership for 50 years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

He will also be missed by: his sons, Christopher (Jeaneen) McCrone, Mark McCrone, & Thomas (Annie) McCrone, all of Georgetown; his daughter, Marcie McCrone of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Bridget Barker of Olivet & Dakota “K.K.” McCrone of Tilton; his sister, Barbara White of Winona, MO; his sister-in-law, Jean McCrone; and his niece, Kelly Shepard & her family of Westville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bill, and his grandson Jonathon.
Jim was a proud Veteran of the US Marines. He worked for the VA in Danville for 32 years before retiring. He loved remote controlled airplanes and was a master mechanic that could fix anything and really was a “jack of all trades’. Jim was known to be mild-mannered and never met a stranger and above all else, loved his family, especially his grandkids.

He was born on May 4, 1962, in Urbana, IL at Mercy Hospital, the son of George Allen and Ruby {Rouse} Cannon. He was married to Connie Louise Dreher on September 17, 1988 at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown where he was an active member and baptized, as well as taught the 4 and 5-year-olds in Sunday School, along with his wife, Connie, early in their marriage.
He will be dearly missed by: his wife, Connie; his daughter, Emily Louise Cannon; a sister, Theresa (Richard) Johnson of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Cannon.
He graduated from Georgetown High School in 1980 and then graduated from DACC in 1984 with a degree in Conservation & Parks Management and Physical Education. He was employed by the National Parks Service at the Everglades National Park in Homestead, FL, as a Park Ranger where he worked as Highway Patrol on the 50-miles of roadway inside the Park. On weekends, he worked as boat patrol in Florida Bay out of Key Largo Ranger Station. Bryan later worked for the State of Illinois as a correctional officer in the Danville Correctional Center for 27 years and retired on May 31, 2012.
Bryan was known far and near for his absolute honesty and sturdiness of purpose as a husband and father. He was kind, loving, & caring and shared the joys and sorrows of life with his wife and daughter. As a neighbor, he was the soul of honor and many sought his counsel, and few doubted his word. He was an avid Illini fan going to many football and basketball games with his father-in-law, Ed Dreher, and Ed’s good friend, Gary Knight.
He enjoyed the outdoors, mushroom hunting, fishing, hunting, nature photography, collecting Christmas ornaments, arrowheads, & Indian artifacts. He was known statewide for his Numismatic knowledge & collecting. Bryan also enjoyed observing deer at Forest Glen. He enjoyed listening to Country & Western music and music from the 1970’s and 1980’s while sitting on his back porch in the summer and watching the hummingbirds in the lilac bush and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Tyler leaves behind his parents, one sister Lexi Karuzis, who he loved and protected, his older brother Barry (Angela) Karuzis, who he admired and gave him two beautiful nieces, Addi and Brynn who he adored as well as his step niece, Jenna. His little brother Cole Karuzis, who learned his love of music and to be unapologetically himself through Tyler. His loving grandparents Robert and Shirley Sandlin of Westville, grandmother Ruth Karuzis and his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins who all adored TK. His Uncle Ryan, who he spent most of his Friday nights with, his lifelong best friend, Austin Gay, and his beautiful girlfriend Brandy Cheuvront. We take comfort in knowing Tyler is joining his great friend Jake Land, who we know is taking amazing care of him. Tyler also leaves behind his three beloved dogs, Bella, Remi, and Rufus.
Tyler was full of life and lived it to the absolute fullest. He was a best friend to everyone; there wasn't a stranger in his life. He was a Graduate of Westville High School in 2008. Tyler was a member of the 2005 Final Four Tiger football team, 2006 Class 2A State Runner-up team, and 2007 Class 2A State Runner-up team. His biggest passions were Westville football, Chicago Cubs, country music, and Busch "Latte". If you were loved by Tyler, he would always have your back. He was the most loyal friend to everyone he loved.
He worked for many years for Wrights Tree Service and was now a truck driver for Sygma. Tyler loved to be out with his friends, family, and his girlfriend, riding his Harley. But most of all being close with the ones he loved. Tyler was a thrill seeker, always chasing the next adventure. His charismatic personality made everyone he met feel so loved and protected.

Harold was a proud Veteran of the US Army and served during WWII and the Korean War in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. Harold was a life-long farmer and was known to love to mow his yard and go mushroom hunting. He really enjoyed cars and watching races. Charlie worked for Sunbeam for 39 years. He was known around town as the “Bread Man”. He also rolled & mowed yards in the summers. He was always happy to have the grandkids help him mow, help take care of his pigs, & split wood. He was his kids & grandkids Number 1 Supporter in sports and always attended their games. Baseball was his favorite one to go to and he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. If he couldn’t catch the game on TV, he would breakout his am radio and listen to it. A few times the power would go off and he could be found in his truck listening to the game. He was so excited to see the Cubs win the World Series.
Charlie’s favorite activities after retirement was sitting at the table drinking his coffee working on his crossword puzzles, reading the paper, watching tv, playing Uno & Aggravation with his grandkids & great grandkids, and playing Euchre at family gatherings. He was the “Breadwinner” of the family and was always there to help his family in everyway he could. He will be greatly missed beyond words.
