Kevin Lee Berry - November 03, 1980 - April 29, 2024

Departed: 04/29/2024 (New Braunfels)
Obituary Preview: On November 3, 1980, Kevin Lee Berry was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Brenda and Kenneth Berry. Being raised in the Coastal Bend, Kevin learned to appreciate all the region had to offer: deep sea fishing, scuba diving, hunting, and water skiing in the Nueces River. At the age of seven, Kenneth taught him to kneeboard, and soon thereafter, he was driving the boat so his Dad could slalom ski in front of the “river lot.” Kevin excelled at soccer, football, track and field, trap and skeet, and of course making friends with anyone and everyone that he met. Brenda co-founded the Nueces County 4H Skeet Shooting Club where Kevin excelled with his shotgun, and Kevin passed that hobby along to his children. After graduating from Tuloso-Midway in 1999, Kevin drove his Ford Excursion with the license plate BVOETR to College Station, Texas to become a second generation Aggie.
At Texas A&M, Kevin joined the Trap and Skeet Club where he was elected and served as President. Ultimately, Kevin graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Minor in Business. Shortly after college, Kevin met his beautiful wife Michelle at a dancehall back in Corpus Christi. In April of 2011, Kevin married Michelle, drawn together by a zest for life and the desire to share smiles. They shared so many experiences from deer hunting in the Texas Hill Country and Presidio County, piloting jet packs a/k/a flyboarding, snow skiing in New Mexico and Colorado, hiking, cycling, competing in multiple triathlons, and of course flying across the blue skies in their Cirrus.
Brenda and Kenneth wanted grandchildren, and Kevin and Michelle delivered with four children in 5 years – Laura Lynn, Caroline NoraJean, Emma Elizabeth, and Kason Lee. Kevin’s kids inherited his adventurous spirit. Kevin and Michelle purchased a sprinter van dubbed the “Big Rig” so the family didn’t miss a beat between trips to the ranch and trips to visit family.
Kevin had a love for aviation which led to the creation of a flight school – Charlie Black Aviation, a trip to Osh Kosh, air shows and cross country trips, and the piloting of various aircrafts. One of his favorite planes to fly was a Beechcraft King Air C90.
His service to the community included teaching financial literacy via Junior Achievement and coaching 4H skeet shooting for the Comal Claybusters. He also served Bracken Christian School by sitting on the Board of Directors and the Financial Committee.
Kevin had an entrepreneurial spirit which led him to create and partner in multiple businesses. He served as a Financial Advisor for M & T Financial for fourteen years. After witnessing his father and grandfather run a construction company, Kevin’s lifelong dream was to follow in their footsteps. Kevin was able to bring this desire to fruition via Infinity Concrete, which was his latest endeavor where he was instrumental in the growth and development of the company.
Kevin had a deep faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He had a great passion for pouring into the youth group at Bulverde Baptist Church along with serving on the Stewardship Committee. Kevin was a kid at heart, and he spent several summers chaperoning the church youth group at various summer camps. Kevin’s family and friends rest assured that Kevin will live eternally in Heaven through God’s grace and Kevin’s faith.
Kevin Lee Berry went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2024 when he was a passenger in a helicopter that experienced a mechanical failure. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Katherine Adelle Berry, four children: Laura Lynn, Caroline NoraJean, Emma Elizabeth, and Kason Lee, parents Kenneth and Brenda Berry, sister and brother-in-law Chelsea and Joseph Briers, and grandmother Laura Dry Berry. Kevin was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Marvin Lee Berry, and Grandparents Charles and Nora Black.
