Interment will be in First Baptist Church of Sumrall Cemetery.
Mr. Jager retired from General Motors and Mississippi Auto Auction. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sumrall and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his two wives, Jeanette Jager and Pansy  A. Jager; son, Dennis Jager; One great-grandchild, Wiley Freel; brother, John Jager and sister, Helen Daley.
He is survived by one son, David Jager (Sandra) of Magee, MS; two daughters, Sharon Ray (Jim) and Jennifer Pittman (Ernest) both of Sumrall, MS; one sister, Shirley Vanderwest of Muskegon, MI; one brother, Paul Jager (Donetta) of Muskegon, MI; thirteen grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Sumrall.

Interment will be in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lucus was a retired mechanic and was a United States Army and United States Air Force veteran. He was a member and former Deacon of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Evan Lucus; two sisters, Mildred Pouncey and Elna Wells and six brothers, Nelson Lucus, Herman Lucus, Carroll Lucus, Edward Lucus, Otis Lucus and Jack Lucus.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Russell Lucus of Sumrall, MS; two sons, Stanley Lucus (Lisa) of Sumrall, MS and Mitchell Lucus (Holly) of Independence, LA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lucas was a 20 year retired Marine, serving in Vietnam, Korea, and the Cuban Missle Crisis. He received a Commission and retired as 1st LT. He was a member of First Baptist Church Sumrall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Annie Lucus; three sons, Jack Anthony Lucas, Jeffrey Lucas, and Ronnie Patterson, and seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty S. Lucas of Sumrall, MS; ;two sons, David Lucas of Atlanta, GA and Scott Patterson of Petal, MS; four daughters, Evelyn Kepper (John) of Hattiesburg, MS, Michelle Pyles (Paul) of Sevierville, TN, Cindy Brackman (David) of Brookhaven, MS, Teri Shaffer (Charles) of Decatur, MS; one brother, Bruce Lucus (Barbara) of Sumrall, MS; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She resided in Cartersville, GA and was surrounded by her family. The service will be officiated by Dr Stan Weatherford.
She was born on January 6, 1935, in Lamar County, MS. Her parents were Jasper Newton Miller, & Barbara Mae Robertson.
Mrs. Gore worked as a Substitute teacher & School Bus Driver for Sumrall High School. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Cartersville, Ga where she resided the past 11 years and was a devoted servant to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O.C. Gore; a daughter, Gail Gore, and her parents Jasper & Barbara Miller.
She is survived by her children, one daughter, Mashelle Williamson (Gary) Lucedale, MS; three sons, Michael Gore (Pam) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Karl “Chub” Gore of Sumrall, MS, and Don Gore of Cartersville, GA; eight grandchildren, Ryan Williamson, Chad Gore, Andrew Gore, Kellie Sulek, Karen Scott, Audrey Ward, Landon Gore & Luke Gore and fourteen great grandchildren.

Robert Claude McNease - December 14, 1943 - February 17, 2024

Interment will be in Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. McNease retired from Newfield Explorations as an Oil Company Consultant. After retiring from the oilfield, he went on to work for Economy Supply as a Warehouse Manager. He was a longtime member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, where he also served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Bouie Masonic Lodge in Sumrall, MS, and was a member of Woodmen of the World for over 50 years. Claude was a hard worker who loved the outdoors. He was in his element cutting grass and maintaining his fruit trees. He was a man of few words, but decisive action. Most importantly, he loved his family and his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Inez McNease and two brothers, Billy and Kenneth McNease.
Mr. McNease is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ellouise McNease of Sumrall, MS; two daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Smith (Bernie) of Fleming Island, FL and Hope Sullivan (Brad) of Sumrall, MS; one sister, Johnnie Ruth Shows (Ronnie) of Hattiesburg, MS; one brother, Ottis McNease of West Memphis, AR; one granddaughter, Madison Bae "MB" Harmon (Graham) of Columbia, SC; two special children that were near to his heart, Aiden Morris and Kinsley Shows; one sister-in-law, Nell McNease of Hattiesburg, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was born September 20, 1940 and raised in Jones County MS in the Shelton Community.
June retired from Trustmark Bank after many years of service. She also enjoyed working and living on the cattle farm. She is a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She was ready to meet God and be with family in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Maskew Bryant; her father, Felton Bryant; brother, Lane Bryant; grandson, Jamie McCraney; great granddaughter, Presley Pierce; and brother-in-law, Mike Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Stewart of 47 years; two daughters, Linda Townsend (Hugh) of Hattiesburg and Debi Bond (Terry) of the Oak Grove Community; three sons, Randy Dossett, Vernon Stewart (Val), and John Wayne Stewart (Mary Temple) all of Sumrall; two sisters, Sylvia Wallace and Mittie Pittman; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Bryant and Agnes Francher; two brothers-in-law, Joe Pittman and Joe Stewart; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. June, also affectionately known as MeMe is loved by everyone and she deeply loved all of her family.
June retired from Trustmark Bank after many years of service. She also enjoyed working and living on the cattle farm. She is a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She was ready to meet God and be with family in Heaven.

Interment will be in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Lucus was an attendant at Hub City Laundry. She loved holidays and anything festive, had an extensive knowledge of plants and flowers and was of the Baptist faith. She was known affectionately by the name Gran by her beloved grandchildren whom she was lovingly devoted to.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Charlene Lucus and a brother, Victor Lee Fortenberry.
Ms. Lucus is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Morris (Sean) of Sumrall, MS; two grandchildren, Seth and Gage Washburn of Sumrall, MS; three sisters, Nell Marie Wheat of Petal, MS, Sheila Estrada of Gulfport, MS and Libby Lucus of Laurel, MS; one brother, Charles Carroll Lucus (Cindy) of Sumrall, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Batt was employed by LAS Enterprises for over 20 years as an Installer and did part time electrical work. He was of the Catholic faith but attended First Baptist Church of Sumrall. He loved working with his hands by building and fixing things. There was nothing he could not fix.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene Heine, Sr., and Dolores L. Heine; his paternal grandparents, Louis Batt, Sr. and Evelyn "Grace" Batt; and his niece, Camden Dedeaux.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Jerry Wayne Cascio and Keith A. Cascio; one daughter, Pamela Rebecca Cascio; and her parents, Toxie Hall and Maggie Mae Walker Clinton. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a son, Larry Lucas, Jr.; his parents, Abna and Mary Lucas; four brothers, Lavan, Lavester, Les, and Lenny Lucas, and one sister, Betty Temple.

Mr. Ashley was born February 11, 1954. He attended High School in Jackson and continued his education at Mississippi State University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he began his career at Mississippi Power and Light. He later retired from South Mississippi Electrical Power in Hattiesburg Mississippi. He was a member of the Professional Engineering Association. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration at University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. He enjoyed Mississippi State football, traveling with his family, and he was an avid music fan. He attended Sumrall Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Herbert Ashley, his mother, Henrietta Fortenberry Ashley, and his brother, William Herbert Ashley Jr.(Sonny).
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Garleen Blair Ashley; his son, Richard Ryan Ashley; his nieces, who loved Uncle Richard dearly, Jenoah Lee of Alabama, Alison Koch of North Carolina and Andrea Whiticar of North Carolina.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Hulett Winstead Funeral Home Sumrall Chapel located at 150 Crossland Road off of 589 in Sumrall, and also beginning at 9:00 AM Friday, October, 20, 2023.
