Allie was born on August 16, 1937 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Albert Boyd and Nellie Eaker Boyd. She was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School where she played basketball and made All State her senior year under Jack Kiser. She retired in 2003 from Timken in Iron Station where she worked for 20 years. Allie was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Crouse. She actively participated in the choir, Sunday school and served as President of the E.L.C.A. She also served on council and volunteered at Christian Area Ministries soup kitchen in Lincolnton for many years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Scott Faulkenbury; three sisters, Scharlene Reynolds; Betty Sigmon and Brenda Holland; brother-in-law Bill Sigmon and the father of their children, Tommy Howard Faulkenbury.
Survivors include a son Steven Dwayne Faulkenbury of Cherryville; two grandchildren Hali Faulkenbury and Holden Faulkenbury; two great grandchildren Collin Dellinger and Kinsley Dellinger; a sister, Kay Stewart of Cherryville; a brother-in-law, Bill Holland of Cherryville; nieces and nephews, Myra (Roy) Farnsworth and Sandy (David) Heafner; Joe Bill Holland (Lori); Melissa Mauney; Cindy Burgin (Tim); special Cousins, Joanne Gilroy, Arlene Newton, Jeanie Smith, Anita Stroupe, Judy Chapman, Jerry Randall, Bob Eaker, Barry Eaker and numerous cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Rick Sloop officiating.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Carmen Helm and husband Shayne of Cherryville; a son, Jeffrey R. Harris and wife Audrey of Huntington Beach, California; two grandchildren Emily Wilkinson and husband Nick and Dylan Helm and wife Savannah; a great grandson, Sawyer Helm; a sister, Gina Sandwith of Columbia Missouri and a brother, Jimmy Gabb of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was a driver for 20 years with G&P Trucking and then went to work for the City of Cherryville Parks and Recreation Department where he retired. Skeet was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville. He was very active in Cherryville sports and had lifelong involvement in the Cherryville Little League Program serving as former President of the Little League Board and served on the Cherryville Sports Hall of Fame Board. Skeet was also a former Pop Warner football coach. He was a former member of the Knights of the Pythias. Skeet was an avid golfer and loved to fish.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 54 years Libby Canipe Brackett of the home; two daughters, Maranda Thornburg and husband Adam of Charlotte and Bessie Brackett of Mt. Holly; two grandsons, Otto & Emmett Thornburg; a brother, Arnold Brackett and wife Nancy of Dallas; a sister, Della Bridges and husband Rick of Cherryville; three nephews, Matt Brackett, Doug Blackburn and Bryson Willis and a niece, Natalie Poston.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:45PM on Monday, February 24, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be at the home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00PM on Monday, February 24, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Vince Hefner and Rev. Randy Heffner officiating.

Obituary Preview: Cherryville - Mr. Edward Lawrence "Buddy" Brandon, 73, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at his residence.
Buddy was born on August 28, 1946 in Clover, South Carolina a son of the late Lawrence Lafayette Brandon and Mildred Quinn Brandon. He was retired after 30 years of service as a maintenance supervisor with Rauch Industries in Gastonia. Buddy was a member of Clover ARP Church and served in the United States Army. An avid woodworker, electrician and all around “fix anything” master, he could not handle anything that did not work as it should. His days were filled with keeping all things working properly and he excelled at personal projects. Two of his greatest projects were overhauling a 1982 John Deere 400 tractor to showroom appearance and like-new operation, and designing and building his own little backwoods cabin getaway accessed by his hand-built bridge large enough to handle his John Deere Gator. Buddy was loved by many for his willingness to always lend a helping hand so he spent many an hour working on projects not his own. He lived the motto “better to give than to receive” and always received the greatest satisfaction from sharing his knowledge and expertise.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Audrey Brandon of the home; one daughter, Page Brandon of Clover, SC; a step daughter, Alyssa Morgan and husband Tim of Dallas; a step son Garry Williams and wife Erin of Cherryville; three sisters, Mary Jane Townsend of Hudson; Peggy DuLong of Lake Wylie, SC; Irene Moore of Belvedere, SC; three step grandchildren, Lanie Williams, Cynthia Hale and husband Zach, and Christopher Grayson.
Visitation will be from 12:45 to 1:45PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Terry was born on November 8, 1946 in Duncan, Oklahoma a son of the late Allen Fisher and Helen Cody Fisher. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cherryville where he was on the C.A.R.E. Team and served as an usher. Terry was the first manager of the Cherryville ABC Store serving in that capacity for 30 years and continued to work part time. He also worked part time at Houser Drug in Cherryville. Terry also served on the Board for the Cherryville Little Theater since its beginning and was currently the treasurer. He also was a current Board Member and past president of the Cherryville Chamber of Commerce and received the Chamber Member of the Year Award in 2017. Terry also served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Janet Ivester Fisher of the home; two daughters, Carol Fisher Atkins and husband, Frank of Kennesaw, Georgia; Rebecca Fisher of Cherryville; two granddaughters, Megan Batchler of Blacksburg, SC and Thea Teague of Cherryville and a sister, Debbie Fisher Peeler of Cherryville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bill Lowe officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service.

She worked for Moose Auto Sales in Bessemer City and also worked in retail. She was of the Methodist faith, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Vera Eaker Circle, of the First United Methodist Church in Cherryville. She enjoyed trips to the beach.
Survivors include her daughter Haley Craft and husband Pete of Cherryville; the joy of her life, her grandson John Weslee Craft; two sisters, Sherry Rogers of Salem, SC and Amy Goodman of Cherryville; a brother, Don Beam of Murray, Kentucky and also a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 1:00PM to 7:00PM at the home of Haley and Pete Craft, 303 Lee Black Road, Cherryville.

Jack was born on November 13, 1939 in Greenville, SC a son of the late Ralph Brown Robbs and Florence Dellinger Robbs. He was a draftsman by trade and retired from O'Steele Company in Gastonia. Anyone who knew him, knew of his love for sports, especially football. For many years a favorite past time was attending Friday night High School football games. He was an avid lover of animals which he passed on to his girls. Jack attended Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover, NC where he loved the congregation and his friend and pastor, Robbie Moore.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Robbs Beam.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shea Putnam and husband Dennis of Chesnee, SC; Susan Crawley and husband George of Crouse; a sister, Margaret Robbs of Cherryville; a brother, R.B. Robbs and wife Becky of Lincolnton; a granddaughter, Alisa Crawley; a great granddaughter, Summerlynn Brayboy and a niece Jana LeFevers and husband Eddie all of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joe Billy Moss, Sr. and a sister, Reba Ford.
Survivors include five sons, Bill Moss and wife Quita, Terry Moss and wife Dawn, Tim Moss and wife Samantha, Jay Moss and wife Beth all of Cherryville and Ray Moss and wife Julie of Charlotte; a sister, Joan Auton of Crouse; 11 grandchildren, Natalie and Tyler Beam, Robbie and Nikki Dedmon, Tessley Moss and Teddy Hayes, Tim Arrowood, Blair Moss, Madison Moss, Landis Moss, Murphy Moss, Chapel Moss and Eli Moss; three great grandchildren, Blaze Dedmon, Waylon Dedmon and Finton Beam.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Leonard was a member of Bethphage Lutheran Church in Lincolnton where she served in many capacities including WELCA and a Sunday School teacher. She was also a 50 year member and past Worthy Matron of Lincoln Chapter #114 Order of the Eastern Star and the Pilot Club in Lincolnton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carl Leonard; a son-in-law Donald Long; three brothers, Wayne, Yates and Marvin Heavner and a sister, Sue Gantt.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Price (Harry) and Jodena Long all of Lincolnton; a brother Fay Heavner (Becky) of Crouse; four grandchildren, Geno Price (Nancy); Ginger Fearn (Dave); Trent Long and Jody Long (Tracy); six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are a number of devoted nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jan Huitt for her care and consideration over their many years of friendship.
Visitation will be from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Bethphage Lutheran Church fellowship hall.
