Obituary Preview: Warren – Robert “Bob” Sauer, 101, of Warren passed away on Wednesday morning, May 24, 2023, at Washington Square Nursing Facility in Warren.
Bob was born on August 14, 1921, in Warren. He attended St. Mary’s grade school and went on Warren G. Harding High School, graduating in June of 1939.
In the fall of 1939, Bob went to The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Three and a half years later, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Following graduation, Bob was employed by his father at the Warren Engineering Company. Bob’s father retired soon after, leaving Bob as the President of the company. He was also president of Forest Atlantic Corporation, an affiliate of the Warren Engineering Company.
Bob married Helen Jastatt on September 18, 1943, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage until Helen’s passing on February 7, 2005.
In his youth, Bob was a Boy Scout, attaining The Star after graduation. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Warren. Bob was President of the Rotary from 1971 to 1972 and was a frequent volunteer for Trumbull Mobile Meals until 2018.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice (Ryan) Sauer; his wife, Helen Sauer; his younger brothers, Harry and William Sauer and a younger sister, Mary.
Bob will always be remembered by his nieces and nephews and many friends throughout the community.
A private service will be held for family members.

Alex Edward Loychik III - December 19, 1941 - May 19, 2023

Obituary Preview: Poland OH – Alex Edward Loychik III, 81, passed away on Friday evening, May 19, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, surrounded by his family.
Alex was born on December 19, 1941 in Warren, OH, a son of Alex E. Jr and Mary (Frederick) Loychik.
Alex was a 1960 graduate of Warren Township High School in Leavittsburg, OH. Following graduation, Alex furthered his education by attending Youngstown State University, Warren Business College and the Republic Industrial Institute. His majors included Elementary and Secondary Education , Accounting, Real Estate and a certification as a Journeyman Machinist.
Alex began as an assembler at American Standard Transformer in Warren, then was hired by Copperweld as an inspector. Alex worked his way up at Copperweld, becoming a machinist and then a Superintendent Clerk in the main offices. Additionally, he was a sales representative for Manchi Real Estate and a successful self-employed contractor for his business, A&L Plastering and Drywall. Alex had an admirable work ethic and was always willing to help others.
Alex enjoyed traveling, many outdoor sports, including, scuba diving, boating, gardening, camping, and was a member of the Mosquito Lake Power Squadron. He had an excellent sense of humor and enjoyed paying his knowledge forward through teaching others. Alex had a knack and enjoyment for investing in the stock market. He was of Orthodox faith and an altar boy.  He became Catholic once married and joined St. Mary’s Parish in Warren.  Once relocating to Poland, he and his wife joined Holy Family Parish. Alex lived life to its fullest and was a loving, family-oriented provider. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joyce E. (Clark) Loychik of Poland; sons, Alex E. IV (Linda) Loychik of Northfield and Kevin (Donna) Loychik of Grove City, OH; grandchildren, Ashley (Raymond) Hornyak of Howland; Kristan Loychik of Grove City and Kevin Loychik Jr. of Grove City and Nicholas Loychik of Texas; sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Saxion of Cortland and Linda Armstrong of Masury and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara (Eustace) Loychik; son, Richard Loychik and brother, Dale Loychik.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 11 -12 :00 at St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish in Warren, 232 Seneca Ave NE, Warren, OH 44481, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 with Rev. Edward Stafford presiding. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be able to viewed via zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83491948344.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

Doris was born on November 7, 1924, a daughter of Charles and Nora (Bell) Heilman.
Doris was a 1943 graduate of Howland High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Michael Zombar, on December 17, 1944. They shared 40 years of marriage together until Michael’s passing in 1985.
Besides being a proud homemaker, Doris enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and gardening. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Doris will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Doris will always be remembered by her children; Ronald M. and Patty (Benyei) Zombar of Flower Mound, TX, Charles S. Zombar of Hollywood, FL and Bonny Lee Marie Zombar of Hollywood, FL; two grandchildren, Todd Michael Zombar and Tracy Zombar Szostek and Eric Szostek; 2 great grandchildren, Ariana Zombar and Dominick Szostek; a sister, Betty Barney of Warren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Zombar; brothers, Les, Gene, Al and Kenny and a sister, Alice. Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Doris on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 10 to 11:30am at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, 727 E Market St, Warren, OH 44481

Ronald Alan Sinchak - April 21, 1957 - January 21, 2023

Obituary Preview: Macedonia – Ronald Alan Sinchak, 65, of Macedonia, passed away on Saturday evening, January 21, 2023.   Ron was born April 21, 1957 in Warren, the son of Andrew and Irene (Granchay) Sinchak and grew up in Cortland.   He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and then enlisted in the United States Army where he earned the rank of E-4. Ron proudly served stateside and was awarded the Marksman Badge and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge on March 9, 1978 he returned to and continued his education at Cuyahoga Community College where he earned a degree to be a physician’s assistant.   Ron was employed in surgical sales throughout the Mahoning Valley and Cleveland areas. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Macedonia and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.   Ron was an avid Ohio sports enthusiast. He was a season ticket holder since 1993 for his favorite team the Cleveland Indians. After each game they won, he loved hearing the song ‘Cleveland Rocks’ play. He also enjoyed golfing and laying around poolside during the summer and always enjoyed spending quality time with family.   Ron married the love of his life, the former Lorraine Skiba on April 22, 1989 whom passed away on August 1, 2015.   Ron leaves behind his son Jeff Sinchak of Macedonia and a brother David Sinchak of Marion along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Besides his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Sinchak and brothers Ralph and Andy Sinchak.   Family and friends may come on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 12:55 pm with a funeral service at 1:00 pm all held at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, 727 E.
