Jeffrey Taylor - May 18, 1967 - April 11, 2022

Obituary Preview: Jeffrey "Uncle Jeffo" Taylor was born on May 18, 1967 to Murlene Taylor-Draper in Oakville, Al. He proved from birth that he was a fighter. The doctors said he wouldn't live past 7 years old, yet he entered into eternity on April 11, 2022 at the age of 54.
Jeffo was a graduate of Lawrence County High School. He participated in the Special Olympics where he won may awards. Jeffo loved music, especially  The Temptations, The 4 Tops and The Jackson 5. He would sing and dance for hours while making his own music. He would play his records all night , which meant he was spinning pot lids on the kitchen table. Jeffro loved the kids, but if they were to act up, he'd say "bring 'em here, i get 'em". He'd set them straight real quick. Everyone loved Jeffo and if you told him you loved him he would say "I know it". Sometimes children would be frightened of his appearance and he would tell them "I'm not gonna hurt you"- most of the time. Sometimes he'd say "Stop that damn crying." No matter the response he gave it was from a place of love. Jeffro loved watching westerns and "In the Heat of the Night."
Jeffro is preceded in death by his parents: Murlene and Homer Draper. his grandparents: Amos and Madeline Taylor, his siblings: Bertha Draper and Christopher Draper, his aunts: Betty Cunningham, Linda Mitchell, Pearline Taylor, Minnie Johnson and Mary Loyd, his uncles: Carl Taylor, William Taylor and Ruel Taylor.
He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his sister: Monica (Frank) Harper, his brother: Stephen  (Amanda) Draper, his uncle: Henry Taylor, his nieces: Sentoyah Harper, Brooklyn Hart, Ashley Harris, Matasia Draper, Makayla Draper, Jacey Draper and Ave Draper, his nephews: Amos (Natalie) Draper, Zacchari Draper, CJ Harris, Frank Harper Jr., Jaylen Draper and Stephen Draper III , his great-nieces: Reylen Harper, Lennox Draper, Aerilyn Harper, Emerie Harper and Everleigh Harper, his great-nephews: Jaemison Draper, Hampton Draper, Kaiser Hart and Landyn Hart and many other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 11:00am-4:30pm and Friday April 15, 2022 from 9:00am-11:00am. All viewing will be held at Sharpley Funeral Home. A face mask or some sort of face covering and social distancing will be enforced.

He confessed his Life to Christ and to St. Stephens Primitive Baptist Church many, many years ago. He ran a good race, fought a good fight and now he is gone home. He departed this life on March 25, 2022.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Clara Louise Sears, Devoted mother of his children: Katherine Cooper. His daughter Deborah Vaughn, his sister Esther Moore and his grandchildren Latonya Sears and Marcus Willard.

Obituary Preview: Teresa Ann Sharpley was born in Decatur, Alabama at Baugh-Wiley Hospital to George W. Sharpley and Old Mae Verge-Sharpley on December 3, 1969
“Resa” as she was known by family and friends.
Resa is a 1988 graduate of Austin High School in Decatur, Alabama. In 1989 she began her life of taking care of the elderly and handicap and became a CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant for the then Medical Park Nursing Home in Decatur, Alabama. In 1990 she joined a lifelong Sisterhood: Elizabeth Chapter Order of Eastern Star on Oakwood Ave in Huntsville, Alabama.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior on August 11, 1986, at the age of 16 in the presence of the Late Rev. Jim Bailey. She was baptized and became a member of the Mt. Zion CPCA under the leadership of the Late Rev. Aaron Roney, where she remained until her passing.
Teresa has numerous jobs throughout her life such as: Winn Dixie in the Seafood Dept, Medical Park Nursing Home, USA Nursing Home Hospice of the Valley, and The Morgan County Health Department Home Health Service. Later she developed serious back issues and became her own boss sitting with the elderly and handicap in their homes.
After the death of her grandmother, Henrietta Garth-Sharpley in 1996 she began working full time with her father, GW Sharpley, at his place of business, Sharpley Funeral Home. Her father taught her how to go on first calls, meet with families to make final arrangements, and how to direct funerals. Resa had always said to family and friends that “She loved her job” and she felt like it was her calling to help families. In August 2019 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
Teresa wore many hats in her life: Daughter, Sister, Grand-Daughter, Aunt, Great-Aunt, Niece, Friend, Co-Worker, but the hats she cherished the most was Christian and being a mother to Kaleb.
She is preceded in death by her Father: George “G.W’ Sharpley, Grandparents: Roosevelt and Annie Mae Sandifer-Verge Sr., Ledger and Henrietta Garth-Sharpley. Uncles: James Harold Sharpley and Dr. Ronald Pha Sharpley. Aunt: Edwina Verge-Caudle. All of whom are waiting at Heaven’s Gate for her. Resa answered the Master’s Call on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital
She leaves behind to remember her crazy ways, jokes, crazy sayings, smile, and laughter A Loving and Devoted Son: Kaleb L. Sharpley, Loving and Devoted Mother: Ola M. Verge-Sharpley both of Decatur, Alabama. Loving and Devoted Siblings:  Micheal W. Sharpley of Springhill, TN, Cynthia Sharpley -Mason (Von) of McCalla, Alabama and Michell Sharpley-McCarver (Douglas) of Triana, Alabama. 2 Great-Nieces that she raised as her own: Paris and Armoni Moore of Decatur, Alabama. Nephews: Deion Moore, Jalen Sharpley, and Qwientiss Mason. Nieces: Bre’Unna McCarver and Zarriah Mason, Aunts: Myrtle Martin, Annie Kirby, Katherine Wiggins, Hattie Turner, Virenda Orr (Luther) and Betty Sharpley. Uncle: Roosevelt Verge Jr (Annie). Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Willie Floyd Stover - March 10, 1955 - January 23, 2022

Obituary Preview: Willie Floyd Stover was born on March 10, 1955, to the late Mr. Dave Leonard Stover and Mrs. Willie Mae Sears Stover. He entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2022. He is proceeded in death by his brother: Larry Darnell Stover.
He was a graduate of West Morgan High School where he loved football. He was a people person and loved children as well as his passion for flowers and grilling. He starred working at General Motors in September 1999 and was on payroll until he was called home.
He was born again on January 1, 1979, under the late Bishop A.C. Strong. He served in the choir, usher board, Deacon Board and the Bible Bowl Team, which became his passion that caused him to become a stickler for words. He later relocated due to a job transfer where he served 15 years under Elder T. Burwell and Bishop Gregory Pratt. He later moved back home under the leadership of Bishop T. D. Strong where he remained faithful until the end.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his Devoted and Faithful wife Annie Jackson Stover, 2 Daughters: Kiyomi Rollins Eschoe (Mark) of Atlanta, Georgia and Victoria Thomas of Decatur, Alabama. 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Granddaughter.
