Arvel Gwen Bolding - December 07, 1939 - February 25, 2024

Departed: 02/25/2024 (San Angelo)
Obituary Preview: Arvel Gwen Bolding, of Carlsbad, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 25th, at the age of 84. Arvel was born to Jesse “Daddy Jess” Bolding and Myrtle “Big Momma” Avery Acox on December 7th, 1939 in Forney, TX. Arvel grew up around Plainview, Texas working on Daddy Jess’s farm. Born the 8th child and baby of the family, he was raised to take things in stride and never back away from any type of challenge. While growing up, Arvel took great pride in the Bolding name and his heritage. That same pride has been passed down to his many grandkids. Arvel married Bonnie L Eddins on October 12, 2002, where they spent the last two decades on the ranch enjoying the simple life of sunrises and cups of coffee. Bonnie's children are daughter Lynda Salias and her late husband Billy, late son Christopher Carver and son Timothy Carver, and wife Kimberley. Bonnie's grandchildren are the late Victor, Katrina, Alejandro, Siergio Jr, Jayden, Emilio, Christopher, Claire, and Autumn. On July 22, 1956, Arvel married the love of his life Winnie Sue Thurman in Lockney, Texas. Many could find Arvel drinking coffee with his trucker buddies telling stories before the next haul. Arvel had so many stories throughout his lifetime, that you never heard the same story twice. Family and friends knew when Arvel meant business when he called someone “Hoss”. Those that knew Arvel throughout the years, knew he was ornery and loved a good time. It is safe to say that each of his children and grandchildren, pass this trait on well. Later in life, Arvel and Winnie took pride in showing their grandchildren the way of life and work ethic on the ranch in Carlsbad, Texas.
