Patricia "Pat" Clevenger - February 22, 1947 - March 26, 2022

Departed: 03/26/2022 (Lufkin)
Obituary Preview: Psalms 34:17-20 "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of all of them. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken."
Patricia “Pat” Clevenger, age 75, of Huntington, TX was born February 22, 1947 in Painesville, OH to Gilbert Baldauf and Ruth Ling Baldauf, and was called home to the lord on March 26, 2022 in Lufkin, TX in the presence of her husband and children.
Pat was a devoted mother, artist and writer with a love of nature, as long as she could enjoy the views from a comfortable 70 degrees. She never met a stranger, much to the embarrassment of her children in many checkout lines.  She enjoyed bird watching and playing cards with her sister which always ended up with one of them “losing their religion.” She loved all things whimsical and was lovingly referred to as “scary granny” by her grandchildren because of the amazing stories she told them in their youth.
Pat is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, James Clevenger; daughter and son-in-law, Shawn and Bobby Dixon of Mont Belvieu, TX; daughter Sherry Anthony of Fremont, NE, grandson and wife, Caleb and Amanda Anthony, grandsons Blake Dixon and Bradley Dixon; granddaughter Kathryn Clevenger; great-grandchild Amilia Anthony, sister Gayle Padgett; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Alan Wharry; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Evelyn Baldauf and beloved family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son, James Clevenger and brother James Baldauf.
At Pat’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.  The family asks that friends and loved ones consider donating to Hospice in the Pines, the Elliot House and/or Ellen Trout Zoo.  For those that do not wish to make a monetary donation, please simply remember Pat when enjoying nature.
With love from family, Peace Out Mom. To Your Death! To New Life! Grandmother, I can see A rose
Whose petals so gently cover the earth.
Where it wilts new roses spread. They too will one day fall with their Own petals amongst the ground, But every generation, just like the last Is still nourished by those
That came before. How could one ever be sad? When the soil was filled of vital waters And the earth is enriched With the same loving nutrients From flowers past
To those roses’ distant daughters. I shall tend the garden passed to me, And someday feed that familiar ground
With the same love you gave to me.
I will raise my own flower in those rich soils. So, thank you for this chance
You have given us to bloom in the garden. And if I can speak truly to you one last time,
I love to hear this roses thorns. But I will not miss the thunder of “If you don’t like it, piss on you” Because your great granddaughter
Shouts it in the morning. Caleb Anthony
