She was employed as a school crossing guard for many years when she retired from working. She loved reading and taking care of her grandchildren as well as working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her mother and Father, two brothers, Sammie Phillips, Henry Phillips, Jr., one grandson, Carlos Conoway, two brothers in-law, Marvin Jones, Charles Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her her memories three daughters, Elnora Conoway(John), Valerie Miller(Jamie), Ernestine Miller(Ricky) of Valdosta, Ga., three sons, Michael Miller of Florida, Eddie W. Miller Sr.(Janet), Gregory Miller of Valdosta, Ga., 11 grandchildren, Devonda, Brittany, Raven, Satasha, Sakeria, Whitney, Quinton, Domonique, Eddie, Kristie, Joshua, 19 great grandchildren, a special daughter in-law, Lavonda Burgman of Valdosta, eight sisters, Marie Jones, Joyce Marshall(John), Mary Walker(Arthur), Hazel McDowell(Thomas), Onnie Phillips Roberts, Henrietta Anderson, Ruth Ann Allen(Preston), Cynthia Price(Maurice), also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. A special devoted friend Edgar "Giles" Jones.
