Furthermore, she will be deeply missed by many, many dear life-long nieces, nephews, and friends.
LaVerne was employed by Kozak Insurance, proprietor of International House of Travel until she retired.
She was on the board of directors of Xavierian  Missionaries, Catholic Knights (VP), lifetime member of the Women's American Hales Corners Auxiliary Post #299, member of the St. Mary's Woman's Club,  member of of St. Mary's Church in Hales Corners, and volunteered at the voting polls at the Greenfield City Hall.
Celebration of Life will be held June 3,. 2024 at St. Mary's Hales Corners 9520 W. Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners, WI from 11:15 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM.  She will be laid to rest at a Private Christian burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. on June 4, 2024.

Obituary Preview: DR MATTHEW “MATT” DOC” DEJANOVICH July 2, 1926 - April 28, 2024, Born to eternal life early on Sunday morning. April 28, Doc is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Deanna (nee Majeski). He is further survived by his sisters, Rose Mary (late Chuck) Pook and Catherine (Late Timothy) DuFresne of California. Matt was born at home in Mayville, WI, His half brothers and sisters {all deceased) were Nick (Mary) Hecimovich, Clara (Fred) Hecimovich, Beck, Peter (Eleanor) and Louie (Mara) Dejanovich and Mary Dejanovich, , Polsen, Sartich. He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives,
friends, neighbors and colleagues. As a child, Matt attended Gesu Grade School and Little Flower Grade School ,then Pius XI High School where he graduated in 1944. High school graduation meant registration for the draft and all the young men knew their future was WWII service The day he registered, he was immediately drafted into WWII U S Naval Service and wasn't able to go home. {He was prepared to go into the Army because his brother Pete had kept him supplied with Army rules and regulations and complete information on all the weaponry and ammunition.} His dad came down to the induction center with $5 for him and his mother accused him of doing it on purpose. After Boot Camp at Great Lakes he was shipped to San Francisco and assigned.to the Amphibious Division at US Naval Base. Subic Bay, Philippine Islands. He was discharged in 1946. Several years after this he joined the Subic Bay Association Group and enjoyed the travel and camaraderie. He eventually became President of the Group., which unfortunately disbanded
when the members were no longer able to travel. After the War, taking advantage of the GI Bill of Rights, Matt studied at Palmer Chiropractic College in DesMoines, Iowa. After graduation, Matt started his practice in Milwaukee, WI and
eventually purchased Land in New Berlin, WI, where he built his home and Chiropractic office. Together with his friend and Chiropractic colleague, Dr. Dick Klein, they became involved in Wisconsin legislative action as it related to the practice of Chiropractic service, They spent
many years traveling to and from Madison to attend Legislative meetings. When vacationing in Croatia, his parents homeland, Matt became acquainted with several Orthopedic practitioners and surgeons. He was invited to lecture and discuss Chiropractic procedures with this group and, in 1984, was invited to treat Yugoslav athletes during the 1984
Olympics. Regrettably, he was unable to view any of the live Olympics. Matt became affiliated with the National College of Chiropractic in setting up continuing education courses in the Milwaukee and SouthEastern Wisconsin area. Some of the courses included: Orthopedics, radiology, neurology, physical therapy, pain management and clinical diagnostics. He also specialized in independent consultations and impairment evaluations. He became a board member of ChiroCare of Wisconsin, and after retirement in 2000, he continued to remain active in various aspects of During all his work related activities, Matt took time to enjoy his hunting, traveling and appreciating the “out of doors”., His hunting specialties were racoon, geese, deer and rabbit. He hosted a few wild game dinners. Doc became involved in the Bob and Rocco Gun shows, eventually becoming a Member of the Board.. It is now the “Take a Kid Hunting Foundation” promoting recreation, hunting and fishing for Wounded/Disabled Military Veterans and Kids
with disabilities. The last few years have seen Doc slow down with mobility problems, but he has continued to remain active, especially with the Gun Shows .Throughout his life he enjoyed family and
friends and cherished his Croatian heritage. Doc will be missed by all who knew.him.

Donald Thomas Thompson, aged 87, of West Allis, WI, peacefully passed away on April 23, 2024. Born on July 7, 1936, to the late Oskar and Christine (Janchan) Thompson, and preceded in death by his brother Robert. Donald's early years in West Allis were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of a community that would shape the man he became.
Don was the beloved husband of Milly (Damjanovic), a loving father to Stephan (Katelyn) Thompson, and a proud Papa to Vita and Mara.
Additionally, he was preceded in death by his son Dennis (Leslie) and survived by children Chris (Sandy), Cynthia Zastrow, and Douglas (Sheila). He leaves behind five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
As the longtime owner of Thompson’s Bakery, Don's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to bringing smiles to his customers' faces made the bakery a staple in the community.
Beyond his bakery, Don was a veteran of the United States Army and actively contributed to the Kiwanis Club, Boy Scouts, and West Allis Crime Stoppers, serving with a strong sense of civic duty.
Perpetually on the move, Don found joy in skiing, biking, archery, and running. His love for woodworking and his garage workshop brought him great happiness well into his later years.
Those who knew Don will remember him for his quick wit and smile that seemed to follow him wherever he went. His adventurous spirit led him on many journeys, but it was his thoughtful nature that made him a steadfast friend, confidant, and pillar of strength for his family.
The Thompson family extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who have shown love and support throughout Don’s life. The family asks that any donations in Don’s memory go to the charity of your choice.

Proudly known to many as "Southside Joe", Joseph Lazzaro has been reunited with the "Social Star of the Show" Anna (nee Armenio) whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised Charles (Catherine) Lazzaro and Mary (Dennis) Eichers. He was cherished by his 2 granddaughters Sara  (Ken) Metz and Gina Willison and adored as great Nano to Lyla and Ike Willison, who lit up his life!
Joseph also joins in heaven his parents, Charles and Rosalie Lazzaro, sisters Nina Quartana and Nancy Drewry, and brother Cono Lazzaro.
He is further survived by 3 siblings, Carmello Lazzaro, Art Lazzaro, Rose Scafidi, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
While Joe spent the last one and a 1/2 years with the caring staff of Autumn Leaves Care Facility, his prior years were filled with activities and community engagement. For over 30 years, he was a member of The Pompeii Men's Club, where his presence will be missed at the annual Christmas party. He also belonged to the Italian Community Center and actively volunteered at Festa Italiana doing the Lakefront Run and Walks, raising scholarships & other funds for the community. Joe proudly served his country in the military branch of the United States Army during the Korean War. He provided for his family with a career at Cutler Hammer/Eaton Corporation and also Kohl's Food Store.
At home, Sundays were filled with laughter, playing cards, and aromas of Italian specialties. Joe loved gardening, especially tending to his climbing red and yellow roses. He was a life long Milwaukee Brewers season ticket holder, but equally cheered on the Green Bay Packers! Puzzles also became a favorite pastime. As we say, our farewells to our father, brother, Nano and friend, we want him to be remembered most for his sweet, loving, kind and gentle spirit, that always quietly observed life in the background in his own humble and unassuming style! Farewell, "Southside Joe!" Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at St. Rita's (Three Holy Women Parish) 1617 North Cass Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Visitation begins at 9:30 AM and 11am Mass with Military Honors.

She is survived by a loving and extensive family: Married to Fausto Roque, her eldest son, Jason Krohn, and his wife Marisol; her middle son, Jeremy Krohn, and his significant other, Angela Fitzgerald; her youngest son, John Fernandez; and her only daughter, Daniela Colton, married to Nicholas Colton. Pam was also the cherished grandmother to Solimar and Jayden Krohn; Gabriela Rivera; and Isabella Colton. Each family member reflects a unique facet of Pam's enduring love.
Pam's love for animals was matched only by her love for her family. Music and festivals were the soundtrack and stages of Pam's life. Her enthusiasm for local culture made her a familiar face at Milwaukee's many gatherings, where her bright red attire—a nod to her favorite color—often made her stand out in the happiest of ways.

A loving nephew to Cheri and Dave Snow, Nicci and Tim Nageotte and Bob Hehn. A Life long friend to Cara Newhouse, and the late Chris LaCross.
Jason was loved beyond all measures, and was the constant strong , solid to our family tree. He was the heart of it, and the roots that reached far connecting us all together. He was our strength, a protector, dependable and always present. Jason put others before himself, and always saw all sides. At the core he rose to any occasion, reminding us what was most important. Loving unconditionally and always putting family first. In his passing, we believe he once again reminded us all to do the same. Jason was always the favorite, loved by so many. He leaves behind countless family members, friends and co workers.
Jason had a passion for working long, hard hours. He loved Carpentry and creation and was so talented . His drive and determination that he sustained throughout his entire life was awe inspiring. However in 60+ hour work weeks he still managed to be there to support his mother. To have a deep bond with his niece Emma and most all kids that was simply beautiful. An to always help a stranger in need. He was beyond smart he loved reading and learning, sports, and music.
They say God only takes the best, and that description fits Jason Scott Foerster perfectly. We are SO proud of him, grateful for the lessons he taught us, and the man he became. We will never be able to fill the void he leaves behind. Our dear mother, Ramona Negron, found peace on April 5, 2024. She passed away surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Vazquez. Survived by her daughters, Ramona Velazquez, Miriam Chacon and Lucy Curnow (husband George Curnow); sons Luis Velazquez (wife Carmen Velazquez) and George Velazquez; 14 grandchildren.
Ramona was a lively spirit. She loved music, dancing and the color red.
Services will be held at Schaff Funeral Home 5920 West Lincoln Ave. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 9:00am until time of celebration of life services. We ask that you wear something red to the visitation, celebration of life.
