Obituary Preview: Anthony Keith Barnett, age 66, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at his sister’s house near Belle.
Keith was born March 12, 1954 in Malden Missouri, a son to the late Theodore “Ted” and Helen (Alberson) Barnett. One of 15 children born to this union.
Keith was a high school graduate and a Journeyman Mechanic since he was 17. He had worked for Ford, Chevy and other companies as well. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything mechanical or electrical. Keith liked listening to country music, going to family get togethers, and he loved to fish. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Keith is survived by: five grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Laguin Barnett of Belle, Glenda Gardner of Washington, Eloese Henson of Bradenton, Fl, and Alton Barnett of San Bernardino, CA as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by one son, Anthony Keith Barnett II and nine brothers and sisters.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mary Louise Barbarick Hesemann - December 04, 1933 - June 27, 2020

Obituary Preview: Mary Louise (Heidbreder) Barbarick Hesemann, age 86, of Bland, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
Mary was born on December 4, 1933, in Gasconade County a daughter to the late Louis and Lizzie (Schneider) Heidbreder.
Mary attended school in Bland.
On March 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Basil Barbarick in Belle.  Basil preceded her in death on March 19, 1989.  She was later united in marriage on January 3, 2001, to Marvin Hesemann in Stoney Hill.  Marvin preceded her in death on March 28, 2008.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in Bland.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and she enjoyed playing bingo.
Mary is survived by her son, Bill Heidbreder Sr. and his wife Cheryl of Bland; three grandchildren, Cassie Piles and her husband Brian of Bland, Billy Heidbreder and his wife Tammy of Lebanon and Michael Heidbreder and his wife Angie of Belle; seven great grandchildren, Jacob and Brett Piles, Corey, Caleb, Layni, Bryce and Jenna; and one sister, Arlene Lacy of Rockford, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, both husbands, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Schaefferkoetter.
Visitation for Mary will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland with the funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Danny Jarvis officiating.   Interment will be in the Campbell Cemetery near Belle.

Obituary Preview: Dorletha Helen Withouse of Belle, Missouri passed away April 3, 2020 in Rolla Health and Rehabilitation facility, in Rolla, Missouri, where she had been a resident for approximately a year and a half.
Dorletha was born on August 5, 1929 in the vicinity of Pilot Knob/Summerfield. She was the daughter of the late Chesley and Mary Matilda (Tillie) Goodman. On September 6, 1947 Dorletha was united in marriage to James (Jim) Withouse. They were blessed with four boys.
Surviving Dorletha are three sons, Kirk Withouse and his wife Vicky of Vichy, Kem Withouse and wife Barbara of Belle, Jamie Withouse of Belle; one daughter in law, Carol Withouse of Belle; Nine Grandchildren, Abbi Plummer, Mark Withouse, Joshua Withouse, Jeri Nelson, Matthew Withouse, Anni John, Mary Withouse, Kelsi Kliethermes, and Katelyn Sands; and twelve great grandchildren.
Dorletha was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, who passed away on June 4, 2003; one Son, Douglas Kit Withouse; two sisters, Myrtle Oliver, Fern Cramer; three brothers, Keen Goodman, Bob Goodman and Jerry Goodman.
Dorletha was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed as the keeper of the Withouse clan. She taught us graciousness, hospitality, and how to gather for good food and family times. She loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed teaching them all sorts of games.
We love you, Mom and Grandma.
Private family arrangements have been made and burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Mary was married to Walter Cook for many years and during this union four sons were born.
Mary was very strong in her faith by reading the Bible daily and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Owensville.
Mary enjoyed reading, watching westerns, bird watching, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, listening to Rock and Roll music with Rod Stewart being her favorite performer.
Mary is survived by her four sons: Edward Cook and his wife Lisa of Pacific, Walter Cook and his wife Julie of Holts Summit, Jeff Cook of Bland and Elwood Cook and his wife Chris of Owensville; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cook of Owensville; four step-children, Carolyn Baily and her husband Stan of Gerald, Patty Randolph of Fenton, Mike Cook of Afton, and Kathy Clodfelter of Nalcrest, Florida.; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Madalyn Whealdon of Columbus, Ohio and Helene Alverson of Warsaw, Ohio; two brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law as well many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Spurgeon officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date at Howard Cemetery in Bland.

Billie was born on November 20, 1948 in Gasconade County, a son to the late Wayne and Irma (Groff) Smith.
On March 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to DiAnn Pethers at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Bland.  She survives of the home.
Billie worked for Kingsford Charcoal Company in Belle for 35 years and was a member of the Owensville Gun Club. He loved fishing, camping, coin collecting, watching westerns and going to garage sales, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his spouse of 50 years, Billie is survived by: one son, Gary Smith and his wife Julie and her son Brandon Tackett of Bland: one daughter, Sherry Barnes and her husband,  Robert Bennett of Harrison, AR; five grandchildren, Matt Smith, Jackie Bennett, Ashley Schreiner, and Tristan Smith; six great grandchildren, Lukas Smith, Kameron Graham, Madison Smith, Zane Smith, Rory Smith, Amelia Smith; one great grandchild, Logan on the way; and one sister, Janet Brown of Bland.
In addition to his parents, Billie is preceded in death by: his grandparents, Ollie and Leora Groff; one son, David Hugh Smith; and one sister, Diana Litzenberg.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland with Brother Danny Jarvis officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Billie Smith.

Obituary Preview: James David Spangler went home to Heaven on October 10, 2017 at his residence in St. Peters, Missouri.
James was born on March 6, 1948 to Jack and Lorraine (Paxton) Spangler. He grew up in St. Louis, graduated high school and then attended the University of Rolla in Rolla, Missouri, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in engineering. After college he married Mary Gustafson and then, in 1971, was drafted into the U.S. Army and served actively in Germany during the time of the Vietnam Conflict. Following his discharge from the Army, he began working as a civil servant for the Department of the Army at the Personnel Records Center on Page Ave. in Overland, Missouri until he finally retired in 2011.
Jim was a avid bowler who actually made the Guinness Book of World Records for the number of hours bowled straight through for the benefit of a charity. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially golfing, baseball, football and others. He was very active with bowling and golfing until his illness kept him from enjoying it. He also loved going out to the casino with his family and friends. But most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids. Jim never knew a stranger. He was so friendly and helpful that he had the opportunity to light up many different people’s lives in many ways during his time here with us. We miss him dearly, but we know he is happy right now in heaven bowling his 300 point games.
James is survived by: his son, David (Kelly) Spangler of West Hills, CA; his daughter, Karen Spangler of O’Fallon, MO; stepdaughters, Jessica Clarkson of Washington, MO and Katrina Erisman of Bland, MO; grandchildren, Morgan, Adrian, Wyatt and Launa; his siblings, Janet (Olav) Nordemann of Montana and Dan (Kim) Spangler of Mississippi; sister-in-law, Carrie Breece; nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his spouse of 15 years, Connie Clement.
