She was the fourth child of what eventually would be fourteen. The family uprooted and moved to Tulsa, Ok where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1973. Later that year she married Stanford Jamison on November 30, 1973.
Beverly spent her life being a care giver working as Certified nurse assistant at Osteopathic Hospital and as CNA/unit clerk at St. John’s Medical Center until her retirement. Aside from caring for others, she enjoyed watching Syfy movies, football, being outside beautifying her yard tending to her numerous flower beds, as well as nourishing family and friends with good soul food.
Beverly is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Stanford Eugene Jamison, sister Jeannette Jones, brother David Thomas, nephews Jerime Thomas and Jeramiah Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Patrick and Shlynda Jamison, grandchildren, Kametra (Jamison) Davidson, Sedrick Jamison, Angel Jamison, Cala Jamison and Jessean Jackson, great grand child Savior Jordan. Her siblings, Clarence, Gregory, Reggie, Eric, Pamela, Sheila (Berry), Gail, Patricia, Sandra (Rowe) and Phyllis Thomas. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Obituary Preview: Mom was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and our dad met at Will Rogers High school and fell in love. They graduated together and got married right afterwards. They had their first child, Marty, then they moved to El Paso when dad joined the Army and had their 2nd child Peggy. Two years later they had their 3rd and last child, Cathi.
Jodie was a stay-at-home mother and motherhood was her calling. Her hobbies were cooking and writing letters to pen pals all over the world. She loved anything purple,  drinking her daily Dr. Pepper, anything lemon flavored, reading her cooking magazines, but most of all caring for her three children. She was a very loving and nurturing mom.
Her best friend was Ruthie Brinkmeyer who lived in Texas. They wrote letters once a week to each other for over 50 years.
She had lost her father at the young age of 18, Roy Estes. In 2009 she lost her son, Marty. In 2021 she lost her husband of 68 years of marriage. She has 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
