She was a Scotts Hill High School graduate, class of 1992. She was a LPN working several years in the heathcare field.
Misty was born June 27, 1974 to the late Billy Joe Wyatt and her surviving mother, Rachael Wyatt, of Scotts Hill. Other survivors include a daughter, Cheyenne (Austin) Cagle, of Dyersburg, a son,Hollis Wyatt Johnson, of Sardis and a granddaughter, Hazel Lee Cagle.   Her Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Scotts Hill, TN, at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 26th,  with Jamie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Methodist Cemetery near Scotts Hill.

Billy Eason Magers - November 04, 1942 - March 26, 2022

Obituary Preview: Billy Eason Magers, 79, of Bath Springs, TN, passed away Saturday, March 26th, at Hardin County Hospital.
Billy graduated from Scotts Hill High School and attended Goodman, MS Junior College. He was a member of Scotts Hill Church of Christ. He married Brenda Rushing January 17, 1964 and Bridgett, the joy of their lives, was born June 20, 1970.
Billy served in the US Army. He retired from the Jackson Fire Dept. after 25 years and entered another phase of his life....developing land at Bob's Lake in Bath Springs, where he built his home.  He loved hunting, fishing and trading anything from automobiles, boats to knives and guns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernal & Reba Eason Magers, an infant sister, Norma Jean Magers.
He is survived by his daughter, Bridgett (Randy) Elliott, of Stantonville, TN; a grandson, Landon Magers Elliott;  the love of his life, Brenda Rushing Magers, of Decaturville; a special sister-in-law, Becca (Jerry) Jones, of Jackson; a special cousin, Margaret Goff Dyer, of Scotts Hill.
His Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Scotts Hill, TN, at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 30th, with Masonic Rites at the funeral home and Military Rites at the graveside. Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Parsons.

Obituary Preview: Terry Edward "Ted" Anglin, age 78, of Parsons, TN departed this life January 26, 2022 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was retired from the State of Tennessee, Public Defender's Office. Ted was a former Mayor of the Town of Scotts Hill, TN serving two terms 1984-1988, a former Union 128 Pipeliner employee and TVA employee.
Ted was a country boy by heart and loved to farm and raise cattle.  He was an avid duck and deer hunter, but loved hunting any wild game.  He loved training dogs and was known to have some of the best trained dogs around.
Ted is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Herndon Anglin, of Parsons; a daughter, Terri Lynn Anglin, of Linden; a son, Cliff Edward Anglin (Tara), of Scotts Hill; a step son, Michael G. Smith (Doris), of Parsons; 3 Grandchildren, Dalton Anglin (Haley), Delana Wilkerson (Dylan), Devin A. Smith, and a great grandson, Dallas Ray Wilkerson; two brothers, Mack Anglin (Lola), of Scotts Hill and Billy Joe Anglin, of Scotts Hill; two sisters, Jean Smith, of Parsons and Diane Martin, of Scotts Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey H. Anglin and Eula Johnson Anglin, an infant brother, Jerry Wayne Anglin, two sisters, June Nicholson and Lucille Roberson, brother in law, Tom Roberson and sister in law, Sandra Gail Anglin.

Donna was born January 2, 1952 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She had worked at the Dodge Store in Savannah, TN until her recent illness. She was a dedicated wife and a friend to many. She believed in Jesus Christ. Donna enjoyed going out to eat with her husband, Jessie, taking day trips, relaxing at home watching old movies. She dearly loved her two little dogs, Max and Little Bear, and watching her hummingbirds, of which she had great swarms, more than anyone else in the area.
Donna was a co-founder of her and her husbands company, Tennessee Valley Bullets. She was a hard working woman of amazing efficiency and dedication. According to her husband, she had a knack for making hard problems simple. Donna will be missed by all of her family and her many friends.
Donna is  survived by her husband, Jessie Clark, of Scotts Hill; three sisters, Shirley Carpenter, of FL; Kathy Ward, of MI; Venus Snarski, of MI; two brothers, Ken Andrus, of MI; Herc Andrus, of MI.    She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren - Angela, Leni, Joshua, JoJo and Finn.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Hearold and Doris Fischer Andrus.

William Bruce Skidmore - July 08, 1927 - July 13, 2021

Obituary Preview: William Bruce Skidmore, age 94 years and 5 days, and a Sardis, TN resident, died July 13, 2021 in Humboldt, TN. Mr. Skidmore was formerly of Harlan, KY.
He was a son of the late Silas and Ruth Skidmore. He attended Loyal High School, then entered the military at age 14, and soon on the ship Queen Mary. He served for two years and was sent back home when the Army found out he was only 16. Bruce was a lifetime member of the VFW Post  #4971, an American Legion member Post #243, the Masonic Lodge #504 East Lodge Chattanooga, the Shrine of East Louis, IL and the Scottish Rite in Valley of Southern IL.  He was an Honorary Retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America. He drove for Darling and then Roadway from which he retired. He married Lorene Snodgrass on April 2, 1944. Lorene preceded him in death on October 15, 2016 after 72 years of marriage.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 18 at Owens Funeral Home in Brodhead, KY. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Mt. Vernon - Saylor Cemetery.
Those left to celebrate his life: a son, William Bruce Skidmore, Jr. (Linda), of Sardis, TN; a son, Bill O'Dell (Elizabeth), of Naples, FL; 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Mr. Skidmore was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Her Funeral Service will be held at Corinth Methodist Church, Scotts Hill, TN, at 2 PM on Thursday, February 25th,  with burial to follow in Corinth Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday 10 AM until service at Corinth Methodist Church.
Face masks are required and social distancing is encourages for the visitation and service.

Gerald was a US Air Force Veteran, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant after serving almost 21 years, he then worked for the US Post Office as a letter carrier. After he retired from the post office, he could be found around Scotts Hill drinking coffee with his buddies on a regular basis.
His family members include a daughter, Cheryl Lancaster, of Scotts Hill; a son, Gary Johnson, of Knoxville (Gary died at his home in Knoxville only 6 days after his dad's death), a sister, Janice Quast, of Mexico, and a brother, Don Conder, of Parsons, his mother-in-law, Lois Dyer, of Scotts Hill.   He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren - Joshua Morgan,  Micah Johnson and Natalie Johnson and 1 Great-Grandchild - Jacob Robertson.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Mangrum Johnson, his mother, Grapel Conder, step father, Earl Conder, and his father, Roy Webb Johnson.
Graveside Services will be held at Scotts Hill Cemetery, at 3 PM on Wednesday, February 24th. Military Rites will be held at the graveside.
Visitation is Wednesday 11 AM - 3 PM at Reed's Chapel - Scotts Hill.
