Maureen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. As a healthcare professional, she was always available to family and friends in times of need to offer comfort and advice. She was there through childbirth, sickness, and times of uncertainty. Andrew Brese Arnett - July 26, 1962 - April 01, 2022

Departed: 04/01/2022 (Fishers)
Obituary Preview: Andrew (Andy) Brese Arnett passed away in his home in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by his wife and children on April 1, 2022. He exuded love, joy, kindness, and a playful sense of humor, always loving to make people smile.
Andy was born on July 26, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the second of four children of his loving parents, Robert and Penny Arnett. The family left Philadelphia when Andy was six months old and in the first few years of his life lived in Michigan, Florida, and Ohio before settling in Louisville, Kentucky in June 1966. He quickly became an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and had fond memories of attending Louisville, Kentucky, and Indiana University basketball games with his father and brother.
Andy pursued various passions throughout his 20s beginning at Indiana State University announcing football games for the local radio station. He then transferred to the University of Louisville (quite a predicament for a Kentucky fan) and studied accounting. His love of the beach brought him to the University of South Florida, where he graduated in 1983. After graduation, Andy rejoined his family in Bloomington, Indiana, and began working for BFGoodrich as an accountant. He quickly learned that this profession did not suit him, and with no preparation Andy decided to take the LSAT and scored in the 98th percentile. He enrolled at the University of Kentucky Law School in May of 1987, and although he spent much time studying, his love of horse racing led to frequent trips to Keeneland and Churchill Downs. Upon graduating from law school, Andy became a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor in Indianapolis, Indiana. He eventually opened a private law practice, where he specialized in criminal law as a defense attorney for over 30 years.
Andy met the love of his life, Laura Firsich Arnett, in 1992 and they married on December 31, 1993. They have three children: Elias, Michael, and Nila. His family was his life. He coached his sons in baseball (Oaklandon Youth Organization) and basketball (Lawrence Township Boys Basketball League) and attended his daughter's equestrian competitions and dance recitals. It might surprise you, but Andy was not Nila’s equestrian coach or dance teacher! Andy and Laura always opened their home to their children's friends so that they could spend time at the pool, camp in the side yard, and feel part of the family.
Andy's strong passion for sports and travel led to many trips around the country with his boys visiting different professional baseball stadiums and taking his daughter to one of his favorite places, Disney World. Andy enjoyed living in Indianapolis and was a big fan and season ticket holder of the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts where he attended games with his family and friends. You could always count on Andy to know the answer to sports trivia questions and commentate from the couch.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Penny Lee Arnett, sister, Amy Arnett Sword, and his grandmothers, Allison Berryman Brese and Ann Canfield Arnett. Andy is survived by his wife, Laura Firsich Arnett, and their children; Elias, Michael, and Nila, his father; Robert Canfield Arnett (Nancy), brother Adam Arnett (Nina), and sister Alyssa Allen (Morgan).
A Celebration of Life will be held at Daniel's Vineyard on Saturday, April 9, at 1:00 PM. To celebrate Andy’s joy in life, we encourage you to wear color. A private burial service will occur before the Celebration of Life at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Randall & Roberts Funeral Home at 12010 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN 46038.

Jennifer, who was already an angel on Earth, gained her heavenly wings on February 21, 2022. While the absence losing her brings overwhelming grief to those who loved her and whom she loved, we know she was simply too good for this world. She loved the Lord; she was a shining example of God’s grace and the teachings of Christ. She embodied Christ and lead by example in Love. She was a selfless, kind, considerate, intentional, loving, funny, clever, artistic, smart and courageous woman.
It is an understatement to say that she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. She lived to enjoy the company of her family and to plan special and wonderful moments for us to enjoy. She was giving, always buying, or making the most thoughtful and insightful gifts for those she loved. She could choose the best gifts because she knew our true hearts better than anyone. She was there for those she loved at the drop of a hat, without question, hesitation, or expectation. She was so exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren. She taught love, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. She encouraged us in everything and taught us to follow our dreams no matter what. She never missed an opportunity to be there for all of our special events.
She was an expert homemaker. She taught us how to make a home cozy, make ordinary things special, make holidays memorable and that taking care of one another was of the highest priority. She had flawless taste, creating beauty wherever she went. Her presence in a room provided light, comfort, and joy. She was everyone’s confidant and the truest friend we will ever know. She was an amazing cook, she delighted in sharing her recipes and food with her family. She believed you showed love through a warm home cooked meal, and we tasted it in every crafted dish.
She was highly intelligent. She had a Master’s in Business Administration and was pursuing her PhD.  She was well read and loved reading. Her favorites were mystery books like Sherlock Homes, and adventure books such as Into Thin Air. She always shared her love of books with her children and grandchildren, filling their homes with many, many cherished books.
She was artistic, with a creative heart. She was a published writer. She wrote wonderful children’s poems and stories. They were a delight to all that read them. She loved to sketch and paint with watercolors. She would create beautiful woodland animals and flowers that were filled with whimsy, playfulness and beauty. Her eye for beauty was unmatched. She loved music and taking pictures of her grandchildren. She loved nature, and gardening. She taught us to love flowers and helped us plant our gardens. Her love and passion were contagious.
She was married just a little less than a year ago to the love of her life, John. They were soulmates. She took so much joy in being married and being his wife. They loved in a world of their own. She loved his witty sense of humor. She was a total comedic and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was Married on the first day of spring in Tennessee last year. She adored him; she told her family that being with him made everything wonderful, and special. She waited her whole life to find a true love, and she found that in John.
As a person, mother, grandmother, and wife she was exceptional. She was the standard for living like Jesus, being thoughtful, being considerate, and most importantly loving with everything she had.
Waiting to greet her in Heaven is her mother, Georgia Sylvester, and her brother, Mark Sylvester. She is survived by her husband John Ehle, her son Nicolas Mills (Shawna Mills), her daughter Monica Hayes (Nicholas Hayes), her daughter Sara Mikac (Erik Mikac), and her son Nathan Mills (Morgan New). She has 5 grandchildren Aidan Hayes, Liam Hayes, Mandi Mills, Hayden Mills, Henry Mikac. She is also survived by brother Lee Sylvester (Stacy Sylvester) and Sister Marilyn Harris (Grady Harris).
One of her favorite quotes was “At times the world may seem an unfriendly and sinister place but believe that there is much more good in it than bad.” ― Lemony Snicket. We thank her for being the reason we could believe this.

Jason Ryan Wilds - September 04, 1972 - February 08, 2022

Departed: 02/08/2022 (Fishers)
Obituary Preview: On February 8, 2022, Jason Ryan Wilds of Fishers, Indiana passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep.  Jason was born on September 4, 1972, and in his 49 years on this earth, had more positive impact on the people around him than most of us can ever hope to have.
He will be incredibly missed by his wife of 23 years, Becca, and his sons, Brayton and Christian.  A large extended family beyond his beloved “core of four” is also grieving his loss.  His mother, father, sister and brother and a host of in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews were all the beneficiary of his warmth, easy laugh and joyful personality.
Jason worked for 18 years in Sales & Marketing for Samsung Telecommunications, where his effortless ability to build relationships and make others feel validated and well taken care of made him pretty much a rock star at his job.  But there’s no question that he always felt his first and most important job was to be an awesome husband and dad.  He gets an “Excellence Achieved” rating on that performance review.
The truth is that Jason created “family” everywhere he was involved.  Our neighborhood will never be the same without his helpfulness, crazy antics and firepit nights.  The Fishers Running Club has lost a leader, mascot and the most supportive finisher in the books.  His volunteer work with Million Meal Movement and so many other organizations, from vehicle service ministries to working with junior high kids at church (and that takes bravery) was a highlight of his reputation.
It will sound like gushing, but if you knew him, you know that there is no exaggeration in the statement that he was one of the most generous, loving, funny guys you knew.  In his presence, you were the best of yourself.   Truth told, Jason was just born to be a great guy – he led from a place of kindness no matter what and always prized having a patient, gentle, easy-going approach to life. But Jason would want it clearly known that beyond his natural gift for being awesome, the inner light that fueled him was his love for Jesus, and his mission to “love his neighbor as himself”.  We know exactly where Jason’s spirit is now.  He is with God and has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Jason – we love you fiercely, and we cannot wait to see you again.
Please join us to remember him and send him off in style.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, with a service at 7:00 pm at Grace Church, 5504 E 146th Street in Noblesville. A reception will follow the service at the church.
Note:  Please come comfortably dressed.  Jason would absolutely laugh if you feel the need to dry clean a suit or wear heels to see him off.
Also, instead of flowers, we would prefer that you support one of the following organizations Jason loved.
Million Meal Movement, http://www.millionmealmovement.org …In honor of Jason’s calling to serve those who are marginalized.
Fishers Running Club, https://runsignup.com/Club/IN/Fishers/FishersRunningClub  …In honor of Jason’s passion to Run, Walk, Crawl, Finish. Hamilton County Humane Society, http://www.hamiltonhumane.com …In honor of Jason’s best buddies – Sam, Cayla, Ava, Biff & Wally
World Vision, http://www.worldvision.org …In honor of Jason’s desire to never see children go without basic needs. Condolences: www.randallroberts.com

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an obituary?

It's usually published in a newspaper, online obituary platform, or funeral home website to inform friends, family, and community members of the passing.

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries serve as a way to honor and celebrate the life of the deceased, while also providing important information to those who need to know about the passing. They can help facilitate communication among loved ones, allow people to pay their respects, and provide closure during a difficult time.

What information is typically included in an obituary?

A standard obituary usually includes the person's name, age, date of birth and death, place of residence, occupation, education, military service, hobbies, surviving family members, and any notable achievements or accomplishments. It may also include funeral or memorial service details.

Who writes an obituary?

The responsibility of writing an obituary often falls on the family members or close friends of the deceased. In some cases, a funeral home or obituary writer may assist with crafting the notice. The writer should aim to capture the essence and personality of the person who has passed away.

How long does it take to write an obituary?

The time it takes to write an obituary can vary depending on the complexity and length of the notice. On average, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours to gather information, write, and edit the obituary.

Can I include photos in an obituary?

Yes, many online obituary platforms and newspapers allow you to include one or multiple photos of the deceased. This can be a meaningful way to personalize the notice and help people remember the person who has passed away.

How do I submit an obituary to a newspaper?

The process for submitting an obituary to a newspaper varies depending on the publication. You can usually find submission guidelines on the newspaper's website or by contacting their obituary department directly. Be prepared to provide the written notice and any required documentation or payment.

Can I make changes to an obituary after it's been published?

In most cases, making changes to an already published obituary can be challenging or impossible. It's essential to carefully review and proofread the notice before submitting it to ensure accuracy and correctness.

How long does an obituary stay online?

The duration for which an online obituary remains available varies depending on the platform or website. Some websites may keep obituaries online permanently, while others may remove them after a certain period, such as 30 days or 1 year.

Can I republish an obituary at a later date?

If you want to republish an obituary at a later date, you may need to contact the original publication or website where it was first posted. They may have policies or procedures in place for re-publishing or archiving obituaries.

What is the difference between an obituary and a death notice?

A death notice is a brief announcement of someone's passing, usually including only basic information like name, age, and date of death. An obituary is a more detailed and personalized notice that celebrates the person's life and achievements.

Can I include quotes or poems in an obituary?

Absolutely! Including meaningful quotes, poems, or lyrics can add a personal touch to an obituary and help capture the essence of the deceased. Just be sure to verify copyright permissions if necessary.

How do I handle sensitive information in an obituary?

If there are sensitive details about the deceased that you're unsure about sharing publicly, it's best to err on the side of caution and omit them from the obituary. Focus on celebrating their life and accomplishments instead.

How do I notify social media platforms about someone's passing?

Each social media platform has its own process for reporting a user's passing and handling their account accordingly. You can usually find this information in the platform's help section or terms of service.

How do I ensure accuracy when writing an obituary?

To ensure accuracy, gather information from reliable sources like family members, friends, and official documents. Double-check dates, names, and spellings before submitting the obituary for publication.

If you're struggling to find information about the deceased, consider reaching out to family members, friends, or former colleagues who may be able to provide valuable insights and details.

Can I include nicknames or aliases in an obituary?

How do I handle conflicting opinions about what to include in an obituary?

In situations where there are differing opinions about what to include in an obituary, try to find common ground among family members and focus on celebrating the deceased's life rather than dwelling on disagreements.

Can I write my own obituary in advance?

Yes! Some people choose to write their own obituaries in advance as a way to reflect on their life and legacy. This can also help alleviate some of the burden from loved ones during a difficult time.

What if I'm unsure about what type of information to include in an obitary?

If you're unsure about what type of information to include in an obitary, consider consulting with family members, friends, or a funeral director for guidance. They can help you determine what details are most important and relevant.

Can I update an existing obitary if new information becomes available?
