Obituary Preview: Jean K. Braund (nee Achatz) Born to Eternal Life on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the age of 83. Loving wife of Ronald Braund for 60 years. Loving mom of Suzanne (Jeffrey) Delahaut and Lisa (Anthony) Lukasik. Treasured grandmother of Zachary and Hannah Lukasik and Logan Delahaut.
Preceded in death by her brother Richard Achatz.
Jean was originally from Wautoma, Wisconsin. Some of her favorite past times were camping, baking, and she was very proud of her flower garden. Jean loved taking care of her family and it was the most important thing to her.
Jean was an administrative assistant at the City of Milwaukee, County of Milwaukee, the Veterans Administration, Allen County Ohio, and Rock County Wisconsin.
Visitation at the FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm with a Funeral Service at 7:00pm. Private interment.

Dr. Michael Joseph Thomas, PhD - January 08, 1947 - May 12, 2024

Obituary Preview: Dr. Thomas was born in the American Army Hospital, Bremmerhaven Germany, on January 8 1947 to 1st Lieutenant Frank Joseph Thomas (d. 1947) and Ms. Nylda Helena Hirschelman (d. 2008). In 1955 Nylda married Mr. Robert Earl Mosbey (d. 2005) and the family moved to Chandler, Indiana. After graduating from Castle High School (1965), Mike studied at Indiana University graduating in 1969 with a BSc in Chemistry with Honors, and then studied at UCLA graduating with a PhD in Chemistry in 1973. He met the beautiful and charming Mary G. Sorci at LSU and they wed a couple of years later in New Orleans (1979). They both worked for many years at the Wake Forest University Medical Center achieving tenured full professor before moving to Milwaukee and working at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Mary G. Sorci-Thomas, son Stefan Robert Thomas, 1st cousin John Hirschelman, Aunt Valada Hirschelman, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee Wisconsin, in a private service.
Memorial Visitation MONDAY, May 20, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home. Eulogy service at 7 PM.

Treasured brother of Robin (Ingram) Rivas, Brian (Sheryl) Bertram. Dear brother-in-law of Larry (Sharon) Schultz, Phyllis (Blaine) Brauck, Steven (Linda) Schultz, the late Marty Schultz, the late David Schultz, the late Mary Pat Coleman, and the late Eddie Schultz. Loving uncle of Sean (Kris) and Jeancarlos; Meagan (Fiancé Blake); Gina and Kathy, Becky, Heidi, and Leann; Brad and Stephanie; Emily; Tiffany, Simone, and Selena. Great uncle to Lily. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sybil. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
Bob was a 1977 graduate of Milwaukee Boy's Tech High School. He was also a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University and later served on their board of directors. Bob proudly served his country in the 128th Air Refueling Group (WIANG) from 1978 to 1990 as TSGT - Pharmacy Technician and Disaster Preparedness Team. Afterwards, he served in the United States Naval Reserve from 1990 to 1996. He obtained the rank of Chief Petty Officer and was deployed to Operation Desert Storm as a Corps,man on the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship. Bob spent much of his working career, 24 years as a Sales Manager in the Battery Division at Johnson Controls. He also served as the Emergency Management Director for the City of New Berlin where he coordinated multiple multi-agency mass casualty exercises.
Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed golfing and coordinating the FUGI Annual Golf Outing. A musician his entire life, Bob played the accordion, percussion instruments, and participated in both the Daily Debutantes where he composed music and wrote field shows and was a member of Lakeshore Symphonic. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting with the "guys", trap shooting, and traveling and cruising with his wife, Diane. Most importantly, Bob loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandson Dillon.

Further survived by great-grandchildren, members of the Grams Family, other family and friends.
Tony was a retiree of Allen-Bradley after almost 39 years as a Master Electrician. He proudly served served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1955, serving during the Korean War. After service Tony remained active with fellow veterans, namely as a member and Past-Commander of George Washington-Bay View Post No. 180, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Also he supported his childrens activities, most notably as a chaperon for Lake Band. A sincere thank you to VA Home Assistance, the staffs of Brighton Hospice and Southpointe Health Center for their care and support for Tony.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2024, 4:00-7:00 PM. Prayer Service and Time of Sharing at 7:00 PM. Obituary Preview: Gerard J. (Garry) Pisarek, passed away on May 1, 2024, age 93. Garry was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Pulaski High School. He studied painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he met his wife of 71 years, Helen. The Art Institute's collections of works by Cezanne, Matisse, and Picasso inspired his own colorful abstract canvases. His works appeared in exhibitions at the Walker Art Center, the Crocker Art Museum, and the Butler Institute of American Art, as well as galleries in Illinois and Wisconsin. A lifelong lover of classical music and jazz, Garry named many of his paintings after composers. Garry will be laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee. A private memorial service will be held. The family extends their thanks to Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their kind care.

He passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and best friend, Nancy (nee Swan), at his side following a lengthy and valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease. Proud and cherished father of Phillip Meyers and Caitlin Meyers (David Augustiniak). Beloved brother of John (Louise), Joseph, and Daniel (Debra). Dear brother-in-law of John (Linda) Herrera. Special uncle of John, Joseph, Robert, Kevin, Katharine, Kimberly, Dana and Gavin (Brittany). Also survived by many treasured friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Meyers and in-laws Phillip and Juanita Swan.
Mickey was born and raised in New Jersey where he enjoyed participating in sports and spending time with his friends and brothers. He is a graduate of Marquette University and Touro Law School. Upon graduating from Marquette in 1977, Mick took a job with the City of Milwaukee, Department of City Development, where he met many of his life-long friends and his soulmate, Nancy. He eventually decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer. After completing law school, he returned to settle in Milwaukee. The following years were filled with travel, including trips to Europe where Mick proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. He and Nancy were married in 1988 and in the years to follow welcomed their two beloved children who became the center of their world.
Mick was known for being a hard-working, compassionate attorney who was appreciated and praised by his clients, yet he remained humble. He will always be remembered for his love of Brewers baseball, Marquette basketball, concerts, music, trivia and the Jersey Shore. Many wonderful family memories were made throughout the years, most notably, family trips to New Jersey (and Point Pleasant Beach), NYC, Minnesota, Disney World, and Door County and later, trips to Sanibel Island with dear friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the caring nurses, CNAs and PT/OT/ST staff at Lakeshore at Siena rehab facility and also to St. Croix Hospice for their unwavering, compassionate support. Special thanks to Amanda and Chad for going above and beyond.

Further survived by his former sister-in-law Barbara Marsolek, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cory was a proud United States Marine. He also was a retiree of the United States Postal Service. The family would like to thank the staffs of Franciscan Villa, especially the caregivers and nursing staff, and also the hospice nurses at St. Croix Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Cory in his time of need. Both staffs made Cory feel like he was family.

Obituary Preview: Patricia Ann Carmody, age 95, slipped silently into the presence of our Heavenly Father on April 19, 2024 at her home, with her friend and caregiver at her side. Patsy was born in Bay View, Wisconsin to James and Elizabeth Carmody, younger sister to Jean Carmody. She attended Sacred Heart of Jesus grammar school followed by St. Mary's Academy High School. Pat had a passion for helping others which lead her earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work from Cardinal Stritch University. She lived her dedicated love for children and humanity by working for Catholic Social Services for 25 years. She ministered to birth-mothers, assisted foster families and cared for young adoptees who often delighted in being taken to medical appointments in her blue convertible, chanting "put the top down!"
Pat was an accomplished violinist and loved to play duets with her equally accomplished pianist sister, Jean. She was a beloved friend, neighbor, avid traveler, generous humanitarian supporting numerous charities. She had such a zest for life and her smile was contagious. She enjoyed ice-skating at Wison Park, was a season ticket holder for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, supporter of the Milwaukee Public Museum, Zoological Society of Milwaukee and others. Pat was an avid reader and member of several book clubs. Patsy demonstrated a lifelong devotion to her family, her parish family at Sacred Heart of Jesus and the larger community. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Carmody and her parents James and Elizabeth Carmody.
For the past seven years, Pat has been compassionately cared for by Salena Holguin and her team of exceptional caregivers.
Visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at SACRED HEART OF JESUS CHURCH, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Private interment to follow Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dustin was born on March 13, 1977 to his parents; Ed and Denisa Davis in Iowa. Throughout his life, Dustin was known for his playful sense of humor, contagious laughter, his beautiful smile and his thirst for adventure. Despite his playful nature, he was also hardworking and ambitious, often putting others before him and helping them out at any chance he could get.
Dustin had a passion for the culinary arts, spending countless hours in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and flavors. His delicious meals brought joy to those fortunate enough to taste his creations. In addition to his love for cooking, Dustin found solace in the tranquility of fishing, often casting his line when the opportunity was presented. Whether reeling in a big catch or simply enjoying the peacefulness of nature, Dustin cherished his time spent by the water.
When he wasn't in a kitchen or by the water's edge, Dustin could be found playing games of many varieties. From Guitar Hero to Monopoly, he took the time to not only win, but to bond with his sons and family connecting with them through mutual passions. In addition to his role as a father, Dustin was a cherished friend to many. His warm smile and compassionate nature brightened the lives of those around him.
Dustin is survived by his children, his parents, siblings and his many friends. Though he is no longer with us, Dustin's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Dustin wouldn't want others to shed tears for him. Instead, he'd want you to cook for others, do some extra fishing, play a few extra rounds of a game, go camping, spend time with loved ones and live life to the fullest.

Bob "The Freight King" spent 30 years in the domestic and air freight business. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by Charlie and Rachel and his Seko Logistics family.
Bob played the guitar and always shared his love of music. He enjoyed fishing and spending time up North. He loved Western movies and the History Channel. Some called him the "dog-whisperer" because of his love for animals. He enjoyed cookouts and spending time with family and friends.

LeAnne is survived by her wife, Sandy Ziemer, sister, Julie Haley, grandchildren, William and Hailey and family through marriage including Mark (Mary), Wendy (Michael), Jody (Bill), Lisa (Michael), Christopher, Alan, Whitney (Jason), Caitlyn (Ben), Caylee (Kaleb), Noah, Sophie and canine babies Baylee and Maggie. Also survived by many wonderful friends and family.
LeAnne was a valued, hard working waitress at the Oak Creek Diner for 15 years. She loved her job and established warm relationships with many in the community who appreciated LeAnne's big heart, sense of humor and feisty spirit.
We would like to thank the wonderful Oncology staff on the 9th floor at St. Luke's Medical Center. LeAnne was grateful for the compassionate care she received throughout her battle with lung cancer.

Linda was born and raised in West Allis. She was a 1979 graduate of West Allis Central High School. She spent most of her working career as a human resource manager for several area manufacturing firms. Throughout her life Linda enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking, spoiling her grandchildren and pool days on summer weekends in her backyard. Linda will be forever remembered for as the life of the party and the hostess with the mostess.

Jackie served others through various roles in her career as a nurse. She was a dedicated life-long learner and she loved to organize and conduct research on a variety of topics. Jackie was selfless in her joyful care and service of others. She was a breast cancer survivor. Jackie had a profound and childlike faith that she shared with everyone.
