Obituary Preview: Edna M. (nee Matthews) Fitzsimmons April 2, 1927 - October 30, 2022
Edna M. Fitzsimmons of Weeki Wachee, beloved mother of six children, seventeen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren passed away peacefully at her home on October 30, 2022, the Feast of Christ the King, following a lengthly illness. A deeply spiritual woman, she departed this life surrounded by the children she unselfishly raised in the Roman Catholic faith with zeal and constancy.
Born in Brunswick, NY, Edna became a long-time resident of Elizabeth, New Jersey, attending Seton Hall University during which time she worked as secretary to the Dean of Seton Hall Preparatory School and formed many lifelong friendships. She then embarked on a promising career as an elementary school teacher for the Woodbridge Township, NJ Board of Education which she ultimately sacrificed to pursue her true vocation of loving spouse and mother. Edna moved to Florida in 1991.
Edna is survived by her six children Robert (Mary) of Pittstown, NJ, Leo (Gerarda) of Lionville, PA, George (Vanessa) of Hampton, NJ, MaryBeth (Matthew) Kachmar of Chesterfield, VA, James (Robyn, Deceased) of Willow Grove, PA and Edna (Scott) Livasy of Katy, Texas; her sister Dorothy Matthews of Elizabeth, NJ; her brother Leo Matthews of Lehighton, PA; nieces Cathy Matthews of Mountainside, NJ, Diane McGovern of Garwood, NJ and Lorraine Matthews-Antosiewicz of Metuchen, NJ.
Edna is predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Robert F. Fitzsimmons Sr; her brothers James and Robert Matthews and her cherished grandchildren Peter Thomas Fitzsimmons and Kiera Anne Livasy.
Private Services were held at The Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and St.Catejan, Brooksville on November 1, 2022, the Feast of All Saints.
In keeping with Edna's wishes, donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Obituary Preview: Bertha SHARON Mazur, age 73 of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away in Hospice Care, October 28, 2022 in the loving hands of her husband Ben and daughter Lysa Graham. Sharon is survived by her sister Janet Nichols of Bassett, VA, Brothers Joseph (Dude) Martin of Churchville, VA & Thomas Martin of Delton, MI., Grandchildren Regina Crea of Atlanta GA & James Graham of Canton, GA, and many cousins that were like brothers and sisters, 5 nephews and 1 niece. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Georgia (Mama) Martin of Staunton, VA. and previous husband C.T. Flemming. Sharon was born in Wytheville, VA. and grew up on a small farm with her brothers and sister. It was not an easy youth, they had to walk a mile in all-weather just to catch the school bus.
Sharon and Janet were known as “The Martin Sisters” singing gospel songs for church services, homecomings, and school activities in the 1950’s and early 1960’s prior to their family moving to New Carrollton, Maryland, in 1963. Sharon graduated from Duval Senior High School in 1967 and attended the University of Maryland while working in her mother’s Tom McCann shoe store doing the accounting and selling shoes.
Sharon had a rewarding career with the US Government. She first worked with the Department of Agriculture on the team that created and utilized the first UPC codes. Sharon moved on to work for The National Transportation Safety Board, with the FAA where she ultimately became Chief of Staff to The Director of Air Traffic Control. In her position as chief of staff she became the FAA Liasson on critical issues with the White House and Congress.
In 1995 she retired and moved to Florida for the sunshine. She moved into Glen Lakes Country Club, a new community being built in Weeki Wachee, Fl. There Sharon continued to use her exemplary skills by being involved with the management of Glen Lakes and helped in originally setting up a number of activities such as, ceramic class, red hats, tennis, and most of all entertainment. She worked with an agent from the cruise ship lines and was able to acquire professional entertainment for the club. In September all her shows would be sold out for the season.
Sharon loved everyone. She was wonderful, witty, and intelligent. She could lift everyone’s spirits.

Judy was born in New York on 04/26/1947, she married her husband Richard Reynolds on 10/05/1968. They had 4 children, Sandra Dygert, Richard Reynolds Jr, Margret Esau, and Bertrand Reynolds. They moved to Florida around 2010.
Judy is survived by her husband, her 4 children along with her grandkids, Clarence Dygert, Joshua Dygert, Ashley Higgins, Destiny Reynolds, David Reynolds, Dominic Reynolds, Marguerite Lawton, Ann Prosser, Michael Reynolds, Krystal Grissett, Samantha Clemmons,Heather Mcintyre, Patience Esau, and Emma Esau. Along with many great grand-kids.
She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Obituary Preview: Charles David Hulme, 69, of Brooksville, FL, was unexpectedly called home by the Lord on October 11, 2022. Charles was born in Whittier, CA in 1953 and moved to Tampa, FL at the age of 8. In August of 1972, Charles and Rebecca began their 50-year marriage. Charles attended Bible College in Cincinnati, OH and later finished his degree at Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, TN before moving back to Florida and becoming the full-time minister at the Homosassa Christian Church. In 1980 he moved his young family to Hernando County and began his 42-year career as a residential building contractor. Charles never wasted a moment and filled his time, that wasn't spent building houses, with many hobbies including metal detecting, winning storage auctions, hiking and exploring new places, riding his tractor, and spending time at his home in the mountains of North Carolina. He loved smoking meat and having large family gatherings as often as possible. Charles was an extremely hard working man and provided a very good life for his wife and
children. He was never too busy to help those in need of his many talents. Throughout his busy life, he remained a faithful servant of God. At the Spring Hill Church of Christ he continued teaching Bible classes, preaching on occasion, leading the song service, maintaining the church building, and leading by example to the many that looked to him in admiration. His life was a true testimony to the phrase, "If you're going to do a job, do it right."
He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Hulme, mother, Reba J. Hulme, and sister, Cheryl D. Hulme. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Rebecca J. Hulme, and their five children, Christine D. Murray (Royal), Caleb D. Hulme, Rachel L. Cataldo (Dennis), Adam M. Hulme (Laura), and David D. Hulme (Elisha), 11 grandchildren, Kirk J. Turner (Tonya), Leah K.
Wildman (Matthew), Jeremy T. Adams (Milena), Seth M. Adams (Nini), Nikki K. Murray, Kanaan J. Murray, Lilli K. Hulme, Karly J. Paulsen, Beckham J. Hulme, Brooks D. She is survived by her sister Nelda Smith; brother Ronald Gravitt; daughter Kimberlee Sears; sons Timothy Farris and Kenneth Farris; grandchildren Allen Sears, Kristina Winslow, Kenneth Farris, Jeremy Farris, Gina Farris, Ryan Farris, Amanda Otis, and Tiffany Seagraves; and many grandchildren including Adriana Sears and Aiden Farris.
She was born in Haleyville Alabama on March 2, 1944. She loved her family and her dogs. She was an amazing strong-willed woman, the matriarch of our family and was always looked to for guidance and comfort. She will be missed by all who knew her.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers, because of her love for animals that donations can be made to the Best Friends Animal Society in her name.

She was born on May 8th, 1949, in the Bronx, NY and lived most of her adult life in Yonkers, NY. Her last years were spent in Spring Hill, FL.
She is preceded by her previous husbands - George Realmuto and Manny Armetta.
She is survived by her husband August "Augie" LaManna who made her final years so loving and so memorable. They really knew how to enjoy and cherish their lives together.
She is also survived by her three children and their partners George (Jennie), Jeana (Arime) and Jennifer (Heather), her beloved grandchildren Kaiden and Olivia, as well as Augie’s three children and grandchildren.
Additionally, she is survived by her three sisters Phyllis, Regina and Marie and an extensive list of dear, close friends - (Aunt) Addy, Iris, Aurora, Adria, Rhonda, and Karyn to mention a few, there are many, many more.
Laughter followed Julie wherever she went. If you knew her, you knew that laugh of hers was infectious! She was the life of the party, the “hostess with the mostest” with a personality that was larger than life. Julie loved to entertain her friends and family and never knew a stranger. She “had a way with words" and had the wonderful ability to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Whenever you entered her home, you were greeted by beautiful music that would fill the room, and you instantly felt at home.
She loved to have fun in the sun and could dance the night away. She was a collector of angels. Now, she is flying high amongst them and watching over us all. She was an amazing Mother and Friend to so many. We will forever cherish all the wonderful memories and her spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
A special thanks to Rebecca "Smidy," who helped and guided our Mom through all her medical needs. She quickly became family and her "third daughter" We all appreciate and are so thankful for you.
She was the best Mom. She was our EVERYTHING and she will be dearly missed. We hope she knows how cherished and loved she truly was.
Rest in heavenly peace Mom. Until we meet again.

William Leroy Schierholz - July 19, 1941 - August 30, 2022

We all know who we are.
Bill was born in Iowa where he spent most of his life. He supported his family by driving a garage truck for 20 plus years then turned to roofing. He was a foreman, but with his crew he was just one of the guys. Outside of work he enjoyed bowling and weekend card games with family and friends.
In the early 2000's he moved with his wife Esther to Florida where he lived out his remaining years. He resided at Southgate Senior Apts. where he met many new friends. He enjoyed helping out, maintenance, doing odd jobs and also helping residents run errands.
His last few years he lived out his life at an assisted living in Brooksville. He retired peacefully on August 30th.
He will always be remembered and loved by everyone in their own way. Love You Always Daddy

Obituary Preview: Leslie Willard Morse or Papa Moe to some, was born on the 13th of April in 1933 to Herbert and Sylvia Morse in Belfast Maine. As a child Les enjoyed all that Maine has to offer for a young outdoorsman. Continuing to get his hands dirty, Les worked his career with the New England Carpenters Union conducting many different jobs within his tenure. He carried that expertise every day always having the “I can fix that” attitude. Papa Moe brought joy to the room and always had a story locked and loaded for anyone willing to listen about the “good ol days”. Les passed peacefully in his home on the morning of August 24th 2022 with his loved ones at his side. He is survived by his brother Harold, his three children from his first marriage Les Jr., Veronica, & Tim, and his wife Danielle along with those who loved and cared for him who will carry on his legacy. In lieu of services, we will be holding a Celebration of Life at his home on Saturday 27 August 2022 from 12-4pm.

Joe is also survived by his four children: Ronnie (Tiffany) Couch of Marseilles, IL; Kevin (Kim) Couch of Streator, IL; Loucinda (Tom) Lendy of McKinney, TX; Tiffany (Charlie) Casperson of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren: Haleigh Couch, Peyton Couch, Luke Couch, Madelyn Lendy, Joslynn Casperson, Anthony Couch, Gabe Lendy, Delanie Casperson, Gracie Lendy, Arianny Couch, Toby Casperson, and one great-grandson, Hudson Couch. He is also survived by his two brothers Troy (Linda) Wise of Ottawa, IL; Paul (Janae) Wise of Brooksville, FL. Joe also has countless nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, along with his best friend, Jeff Deimer (Frisco, TX).He was preceded in death by his parents Troy and Kathryn Wise and his sisters, Marjorie Blankenship (Brooksville, FL) and Arlene Wise (Ottawa, IL).Joe worked for Mitsubishi Motors in Normal, IL for 28 years before retiring to Florida. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching sports! He especially loved the Chicago White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls. When his kids were young, he loved being able to coach his sons’ baseball teams. Joe loved to also golf, travel, and above all, spend time with his family. Obituary Preview: Josephine "Jo" Spagna, 85, died peacefully at Corrigan Place with family at her side on August 18, 2022 after enduring dementia for 15 years. Jo was born on August 13, 1937 in Potenza, Italy to Giovanni and Antoinetta Spera. At 10 years old, Jo traveled with family on the S.S. Marine Shark from Italy to Ellis Island in New York. She lived in Jamaica, Queens and attended St. Pius V Catholic School and John Adams High School. In 1958, she met Robert "Bob" Spagna at a CYO dance and he proposed three weeks later. They were married on May 30, 1959, lived in Bayside and then Corona, Queens, and had two daughters. Jo worked at Irving Trust at One Wall St. and later, at a medical lab. In 1980, she and her family moved to Port Richey, FL.Jo was a longtime parishioner at St. James Catholic Church and worked as a paraprofessional in Pasco County schools, most recently at Northwest Elementary School in Hudson. Back then, she spent many of her summer days with her grandkids, picking oranges and figs in the back yard, teaching them a "word of the day," cooking (often Italian food), and making them wait until 3 p.m. to watch TV (which they now understand and appreciate). After she retired in 2000, she enjoyed several years of travel and leisure. Throughout her life, she loved music, singing, dancing, laughing, family gatherings, her sisters, her Italian heritage, and working with children in Pasco's schools. Jo was jovial, a joy to be around, to laugh with, and to eat with — she made the best braciole, pasta fagioli, and struffoli. She is beloved by her family, friends, neighbors, and former colleagues and will be deeply missed.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob Spagna; daughters Linda Spenceley (Steve) and Laura Cook (Royce Brown); grandchildren Michael Spenceley (Danna) and Arleen Spenceley; siblings Concetta Toscano (Louie - predeceased) and Mary DiNoto (Frank); sister-in-law Anna Spera; and other loving family members.
