Born January 16, 1931, in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gardener Davis and Mary Garrett Price. She was also preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Roy Kelley and William Ginn; a brother, Jack Davis, a sister Julia Bennett; grandchildren, Jonathan and Kayla Durham and a special sister, Anne Taylor.
She was retired from La France Mills and a member of Second Baptist Church of Pendleton. Jane enjoyed working puzzle books, traveling, especially trips to the beach, drinking coffee and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Debbie Durham (Teresa Swaney) of Pendleton and Rita Kelley of Clinton, SC; sons, James Montjoy of Reno, NV and Richard (Kim) Kelley of Hickory, NC; a special niece Patsy Jones; a special nephew, Chip Taylor; grandchildren, Jim Montjoy, Tim Montjoy, Jesse Kelley, Jason Kelley and Anna Foster; great-grandchildren, Jamey Montjoy, Carson Montjoy, Cadence Montjoy, Bethany Stringer, Nate Kelley, Max Kelley, Christopher Kelley, Hannah Foster, Airiana Parten and Madison Greiner.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024, beginning at 1:00 pm at The McDougald Pendleton Center, 1001 S. Mechanic St., Pendleton, SC. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Keith Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.

Born in Elberton, Georgia on December 29, 1934, Betty was the daughter of the late Farrie Bell Snellings Harper and Gus Harper.
Betty graduated from Elberton High School and started her career at Ross L Brown Granite Co. where she met a granite salesman from Vermont. That salesman, Larry, became her husband and they enjoyed forty-six wonderful years of marriage.
Devoting her life to her family and friends, Betty left an indelible mark of kindness, love and affection and no one ever left her house hungry. Her insistence of a little slice of pie and sweet tea always seemed to brighten the day.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Larry Sierra, her brother Harry Harper and her sister Carolyn Harper Childs. She is survived by her daughter Elisa Sierra Buresh (Bob) of Clemson, SC, and son Michael L. Sierra (Bibby) of Greenville, SC. She has four grandchildren: Lauren Buresh Stroup (David), Brett Michael Buresh (Kelly), William Harris Sierra and Sara Grace Sierra and five great-grandchildren: Elisa Kate, Banks, Benjamin, Nolan and Finley.
A private memorial service will lay her to rest with all her family in attendance.

Thomas Franklin Vegod - April 20, 1947 - February 24, 2024

Obituary Preview: Thomas Franklin Vegod, 76, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Prisma Greenville Hospital, surrounded by family.
Tom was born April 20, 1947, in Greenville, MS, and was the son of the late Al Vegod and the late Josephine Adair Albright Vegod. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lili Kornegay.
Tom was a proud graduate of Ole Miss and worked as a real estate broker and appraiser for 40 plus years. He was active in the Pendleton community as a member of the Pendleton Area Business Association, officer of Pendleton Pride in Motion, and was instrumental in the building of Barrett’s Place; a beautiful community playground. He served his country in the Vietnam War with the US Army.
He was a jack of all trades, loved crafting projects and woodworking. With his very dry sense of humor, bad dad jokes delivered with a dead pan stare and absolutely no emotion, made the corny one-liner puns hilarious. Tom loved his girls and enjoyed every minute spent in their company. He was a great husband and was a friend to many. He had an easy ear for listening to others offering sound advice. He lived life to the fullest and his absence will be felt by many.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jean Howell Vegod: daughters, Kristen Zeigler, her husband Barrett and Katy Arvia, and her husband, Aaron; grandson, Brayden Arvia: and brother-in-law, Robert Howell.
The family will celebrate the life of Tom Vegod on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the McDougald Pendleton Center, 1001 S. Mechanic St., Pendleton, SC. Celebrant Michael T. Rippy will officiate.

Terry Willis Young - November 27, 1955 - December 12, 2023

Obituary Preview: Terry Willis Young, of Pendleton, South Carolina, died of complications from ALS on December 12, 2023, after struggling with the condition for over a year. He was surrounded by his beloved family.
Terry was born in Anderson, South Carolina on November 27, 1955, to Larry Albert Young and Faye Strickland Young. He grew up in Honea Path, South Carolina and earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Education from Clemson University. He worked in a variety of roles, including as an instructor of “human error reduction,” at Duke Energy, where he was an employee for 39 years. In 2003, he founded Anderson Area Pools, now known as Young Pools, a small business which he operated with the help of his sons. He loved playing racquetball at the YMCA, camping and hunting the Jocassee Gorge with his friends, and being surrounded by his family and grandchildren. Upon learning about his disease, he became passionate about sharing the faith he depended on with others, and he loved to welcome visitors into his home.
Terry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Fran Parker Young; three sons, Parker Willis Young (Rachel), Daniel Alan Young (Katelyn), and Carson Oates Young (Riley); brother Larry Alan Young (Mary Jane); and five grandchildren, Ruby, Wren, Walker, Bridges, and Sylvie.
A memorial service will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm, with visitation following until 4:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest of Anderson or to MissionGo.org designated for the Tree House (orphaned girls) ministry in Sierra Leone.

Born April 2, 1942, in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Wilbur Raymond Grant and Evelyn Cecelia Pack Grant. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Raymond Grant.
David was a veteran having served his country in the United States Army. He later owned a marina in Gloucester Massachusetts and then became a realtor in Bucksport, Maine. He and his wife Alice owned Landmark Properties. In addition to his work as a realtor, David was very active in the Bucksport community. He served on the Town Planning Board and the Town Police Committee as well as Harbormaster and Deputy Harbormaster for the town. He loved Maine and was a friend to all and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Montaner Grant; daughter, Alyssa Emerson (Brent); sons, Mark Grant, John Adam Gobel (Rebecca), and Gregory Joseph Gobel (Danielle); along with many loving grandchildren.
Services will be held in Bucksport Maine in the Spring.

She worked in real estate and enjoyed yoga, working out and hiking. Kayla’s favorite pastime was the time she spent making memories with her children, family, and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Debbie Durham; two daughters, Airiana Parten and Madison Greiner; grandmother, Jane Ginn, and special friends, Anna Foster, Hannah Foster, Kristina Vernon, Shannon Noble, Pika Patel, Teresa Swaney, Holly Montes, Karin Poole, B. Rhodes and Ben Currey.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 12:00-1:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Pastor Perry Noble officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of Clemson, SC.

Eric is survived by his wife, Tammy Griffith; daughters, Erica Griffith and Amy York; his son, William “Buck” Griffith; his parents, Gerald and Judith Griffith; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Michelle Griffith, his sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Carey Lewis.
At the age of 54, Eric left us too soon, but gave us a legacy of love, laughter, and service to his country and community. Prior to starting a family, he served in the US Army. For the past 18 years, Eric served his Tri-County Technical College community, earning the respect and friendship of his peers.

Trent was a native of Clemson, South Carolina the son of the late John Willis Kenelly, Jr. and the late Charmaine Voss Kenelly. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Willis Kenelly Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Voss. He is survived by his two daughters, SGT Morgan Kenelly of Belle Chase, LA, and Gabrielle Kenelly, of Charleston, SC and his son John Aidan Kenelly, of Ashand, MT. He is also survived by Lynn Kenelly to whom he was married to for 25 years, and by his sister Deidre Kenelly of Travelers Rest, SC. He is also survived by his many beloved aunts, cousins and large extended family and will be greatly missed.
Trent was a 1990 graduate of Lander University and received his B.A. in History. His professional career evolved into an exceptionally experienced IT professional with multi-discipline proficiencies including many certifications in Project Management (ITIL), Cloud based Solutions, Microsoft (MCP & MCDST), and database management.
Trent was an active member of Toastmaster International and enjoyed his time with the professional organization. He held leadership positions in the organization and was a past District Director.
One of his passions in life was spending time in the outdoors and participating in Boy Scouts of America.
He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Clemson, SC.

Born January 25, 1935, in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell Dockins and Gaynell Carnes Dockins. She was married for 66 years to Donald Dean Hawkins, Sr. until his death in 2018. She was also preceded in death by brother, Marion Dockins; and sister, Betty Rice.
To her family, Louise was the best mom in the world who loved her husband and family beyond all measure. She was a wonderful cook and had the ability to make anything but had a special gift for steak and gravy. She was a prayer warrior and faithful to read her Bible every day. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Dean Hawkins, Jr. and Claude Randall Hawkins (Kay); daughter, Cindy Marie Hudson (Raymond); brother, Johnny Dockins; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 12:00 until 1:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Dickson officiating. Burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Joshua Swaney; daughter, Genie Archer Phillips; and grandchildren, Clayton and Payden Phillips.
Tammy was born in Norcross, Georgia and later moved to Iva, South Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Iva, South Carolina. Tammy was an incredible artist and loved to paint, draw, and crochet. She often hand-made clothes for her grandkids Clayton and Payden.
She had a heart of gold and a beautiful, contagious smile.
A memorial service to honor Tammy’s life will be held at a later date.

Patricia was born, January 4, 1940 in Gainesville, GA. She was a daughter of the late James Warren Millwood and the late Susie Mae Seay Millwood.
Patricia worked at the Milliken Plant in Pendleton for twenty years. Then began working with Specialty Sheering and Dying in Greenville where she retired after ten years of service. She enjoyed working and built many friendships over the years. In her free time, she was an avid Bingo player and loved growing flowers.
Patricia is survived by three daughters, Vicki Geraldine Gray Gibson (Eugene), Susan Ann Gray Gibson, and Leigh Gray Dodson (Joe); brother, Stanley Millwood; sisters, Emily Swafford, Wilma Sosby, and Barbara Blakeley; grandchildren, Leighann Watson, Kevin Gibson, Amanda Gibson Lay, Billy Gibson (Crystal), Pastor Aaron Gibson (Stacey), Charlie Gibson, Susan Odean Gibson Cruz, Kala Dodson, Whitney Dodson (Neal Webb), and Jo Leigh Durham (Levi); twenty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by a grandson, Alan Owen Gray Gibson, and a sister, Martha Millwood.
The family appreciates the care given to Patricia from Magnolia Manor and Interim Hospice.

David Howard Griffin - January 04, 1944 - August 31, 2023

Obituary Preview: David Howard Griffin passed away on August 31, 2023 at the age of 79, peacefully in his home in Anderson, South Carolina. His battle with serious medical issues over the past few years showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile. David stayed strong until the end, taking one last trip to Edisto Beach with his family and friends, their summer tradition for almost 40 years.
David was born on January 4, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Hoke and Virginia (Rodgers) Griffin, and has reunited with his parents and two brothers, Hoke and James, in his passing. Before moving to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, he was a US Army Veteran and spent many years in Miami, FL.
David married the love of his life, Cecelia (Lorenz) Griffin, in 1980 and they spent the next 43 years as best friends, laughing and soaking up the sun. In his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at Greenville's BMW Charity Pro-AM and boating on Lake Hartwell.
He and Ceil share one daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law Bill Hezel. His grandson, Cooper, was his little sidekick - always helping and checking on 'Papa'.
Often remembered as 'Griff' from DePue's Bar, he was a friend to all in the Bushkill area and loved by many. He will always be remembered for his affable charm, but mostly his starring and shining role as the greatest husband, father and grandfather.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no service. He was welcomed into Heaven, no longer in pain, by those we have lost and his beloved samoyeds and Buddy. Please simply use David's memory as a reminder to hug your family tighter, be patient, and be kind, as you never truly know how much time you'll get to do so.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Jarred Whitfield; children, Peyton Swaney, Paxton Swaney, Angel Whitfield, Joe Whitfield, and Waylon Whitfield; sisters; Tonya Durham and Trina Durham; mother-in-law, Sharon Williams; grandchildren, Braydon Holliday, Jaxon Holliday, and Sophia Holliday.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Anthony Durham.
Kimberly was a bright light to everyone she knew and met. She could make anyone laugh, as she had an incredible (and witty) sense of humor. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her big heart, and willingness to care for her friends and family. Born in Galena, Ohio, Mr. Jahn was the son of the late Earl Jahn and the late Helen Carr Jahn. He graduated from Orange High School, where he was a standout baseball player. He retired as a field engineer from Wilbert Burial Vault Company and co-owned Jahn Monuments, LLC with his wife, Betty L. Jahn, until they retired to South Carolina.
Mr. Jahn is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Betty L. Jahn, and three sons, James R. Jahn, Jr. of Mt. Gilead, OH, Jay Jahn of Clarks Hills, SC, and Judson Jahn of Anderson, SC. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Jahn of Marengo, OH.
Mr. Jahn is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephanie Jahn, Aaron Carsner, Jessica Jahn, Justin Jahn, Jonathan Jahn, Jo Jahn, and J.R. Jahn, and one great grandson, Jase Cockrell.
Mr. Jahn was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Jahn, and two sisters, Mildred Gable and Laura Abrams.
The family will be at their respective homes. A celebration of Roy’s life will take place at a later date.

Born July 18, 1976, in Oak Lawn, IL, he was the son of William Joseph Arvia and Victoria “Vicki” Bloom Arvia.
Aaron was self-employed as a mechanical engineer and loved science and math. He formerly worked for Hasbro as a toy designer where several of his designs were used. He loved music and was very musically talented. He was a member of a band, a singer, and played the guitar, keyboards, and saxophone. He enjoyed art, drawing, reading, sci-fi movies and history. Aaron was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He was a devoted family man and adored his 11 year-old boy Brayden most of all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Katy Vegod Arvia; and son, Brayden Thomas Arvia.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lindsey Ruth Arvia.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Pendleton Center, 1001 S. Mechanic Street, Pendleton, SC 29670.
