Theodocia (Teddy) Lee Thompson - June 29, 1937 - March 25, 2022

Departed: 03/25/2022 (Madison)
Obituary Preview: Theodocia (Teddy) Lee Livermore, Labelle FL, 84, passed from this life suddenly on March 25, 2022. There are not enough words to adequately describe our mother in a simple obituary. To say that mom was an elect lady would be a true statement. She was our north star and our rock. Her example of kindness, love and compassion will be our beacon as we continue throughout this life.
Teddy was born June 29, 1937 in Syracuse, NY to Frederick H Klein and Theodocia Lois Klein. One of eleven children Teddy is predeceased by sisters Jenile Guymon, Lorraine Mazor, Jeannette Jones, Michelle Strong, bothers Fred Klein, Jr., and David Klein. She is survived by sisters Joyce Kendrick (Steve), Donna Austin (Johnny), Carol Bean, and brother Dale Klein (Debra).
Teddy grew up in Knoxboro, NY and attended Madison High School, in 1956, she met the man of her dreams our father John J Livermore they wed on June 27, 1957. While her love for John was enormous she had more room in her heart, in 1965 she and John, adopted 2 brothers Bill and Jim Livermore. Teddy was mother to two “perfect” boys, at least in her eyes. Bill and Jim gave her a run for her money. We don’t remember a single athletic event or social performance that she or our father didn’t attend, every football game and wrestling match was “coached” by Teddy from the sidelines.
Once grandchildren began to arrive, we quickly took a back seat. Her love expanded with each child, and nothing brought her more joy than the sweet face of each newborn baby. Her goal was to show each of them how much she loved them.
In 1984 John passed away, and mom, carried on without him, never really whole again.
Teddy was a faithful member of the LDS church. Nothing was more important to her than living a life devoted to her faith and her testimony of the Savior sustained her in the years after John’s passing. Mom’s life was blessed with callings in the Relief Society, and Primary. She truly loved everyone she served.
Teddy is survived by her sons William J Livermore (Holly), and James Livermore, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
We take comfort in the reunion mom is having with those who went before her.
A graveside service will be held on May 7th 1:00 PM, at the Madison Cemetery in Madison, NY, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband John. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.

Anthony F. "Tony" Kwiatkowski - July 16, 1929 - December 05, 2021

Departed: 12/05/2021 (Madison)
Obituary Preview: Anthony F. “Tony” Kwiatkowski
Hamilton-Anthony F. “Tony” Kwiatkowski. 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Waterville Residential Center, following a brief illness.
Tony was born on July 16, 1929, in Passaic, New Jersey, the son of the late Anthony and Sophie Kwiatkowski. He was raised in Waterbury, CT, and graduated from Waterbury High School. From an early age, Tony took on many jobs before hitchhiking to California and back. He came to Hamilton, NY to attend Colgate University where he would meet Frances Maine, getting married in Norwich on December 24, 1952. He would graduate from Utica College and later earn a Master’s Degree in Education from Syracuse University.
Tony held several high school teaching and guidance counselor positions in the area including Leanordsville, Rome, and McGraw; for a short time, he was the Interim Principal at Mount Markum High School. Tony would retire after several years as a Guidance Counselor at Mohawk Valley Community College.
In the mid-1960s, to make use of his summer sabbaticals, Tony built the Waterville Coin-op Car Wash from the ground up with the help of Fran. Tony enjoyed spending time tinkering to make it better and meeting his customers. This would remain his pride and passion for nearly 40 years.
Tony loved to work with his hands and take on challenging DIY projects. In addition to the car wash, he remodeled his own home, built an A-frame cabin, restored a 1929 Ford Model A pickup truck and in his 80’s restored the cupola atop the barn.
In the early days, Tony enjoyed visits with Fran’s family locally. These visits would range from helping around their farms or just chatting. But some visits led to more adventurous activities like hang gliding and trail riding hilly pastures on a “Tote Gote” motorized bike. Later on he would find great enjoyment as a constant and enthusiastic spectator to his grandchildren’s pursuits.
Tony was proud of his Polish heritage. His biggest smile would show up when he could hit the dance floor to a rousing polka whether it was a local field day, the New York State Fair or a family wedding.
Most of all, he had a deep love, devotion and appreciation for Frances, his children, and his grandchildren. Tony imparted upon the entire family his principles of a strong work ethic, helping others, a DIY attitude and attention to detail. His legacy will continue with all whom his heart touched.
Tony’s passing is mourned by his family, his beloved wife 69 years, Frances; his beloved children: Randy (Daryl) Kwiatkowski of Byfield, MA, Kevin (Marcy) Kwiatkowski, of Holly Springs, NC, Kelly (Mike) Miller of Madison, and Kyle Kwiatkowski (fiancé, Dan Watkins) of Hamilton; his cherished grandchildren - David, Lauren, Emma, Cooper, Tom, Hannah, and Scott. Why are obituaries important?

Who typically writes an obituary?

The task of writing an obituary usually falls on the family members or close friends of the deceased. Funeral homes may also offer assistance in writing and publishing the obituary.

What information should be included in an obituary?

A typical obituary includes the person's full name, age, date of birth and death, place of residence, occupation, education, hobbies, achievements, and surviving family members. It may also include information about the funeral or memorial service, such as the date, time, location, and any charitable donations in lieu of flowers.

How long should an obituary be?

The length of an obituary can vary depending on the publication or website it will be published on. Generally, it should be concise and to the point, ranging from 100 to 500 words.

Can I include photos in an obituary?
