Sharon and John created Tidewater Utilities, Inc., a water utility company that operates throughout the state of Delaware. As avid antique car collectors, Sharon and John belonged to several car clubs, enjoying many likeminded friends and tours throughout the U.S. She was extraordinarily creative and enjoyed sewing, painting, pottery, decorating with antiques, and many other art forms. But her favorite activity was caring for beloved pet cats of which she had many throughout her lifetime.

Obituary Preview: Jeffrey S. Gatta, age 63, of New Providence, PA passed away suddenly on April 30th, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chester, PA, Jeff grew up in Aston, where he was a 1979 graduate of Sun Valley High School. After marrying his wife Donna McGinley, they moved to Brookhaven where together they raised their three children Jacqui, Jessie and Jeffrey. In recent years they moved to New Providence to enjoy the quiet, serene countryside.

Jeff loved the simple things in life. He was a great cook, and hosted many backyard barbecues over the years. He enjoyed watching local sports on TV including his beloved Phillies and Eagles and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He was a lover of animals and his heart broke at the loss of his two dogs Onyx and Ginger. Jeff also had a passion for fishing and crabbing, which he shared with his son and grandsons. He was a family man, content to be at home with Donna, the love of his life, laughing together as they watched one of their favorite TV shows, King of Queens. He departed this life much too early, and will be deeply missed by his entire family and friends. Jeff's gift of life will continue with the donation of his corneas to give sight to two deserving people.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Gatta, and his mother and stepfather, Marian and Jody Tarbutton. Crossing the rainbow bridge were his beloved dogs, Onyx and Ginger, and childhood dogs Lucky and Tammy. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna M. McGinley Gatta, 3 children, Jacqui (Jeff) Resnick, Jessie (Neil) Jackson and Jeffrey (Alexis) Gatta Jr., 5 siblings, Cindy Gatta, Danny (Maria) Gatta, Larry (Sue) Gatta, Joe, (Jen) Gatta and Robert (Rachel) Tarbutton, grandchildren, Dylan, Kylie, Kaydence, Mason, Travis, Gracie, AbbeyRose, & Paisley, mother-in-law, Donna McGinley, and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Anthony Louis Spadaccini, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Anthony ("Tony") was born on August 29, 1935 in Philadelphia to Louis and Angelina Spadaccini. He attended South Philadelphia High School for Boys, then received a degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University. He was employed by Johnson Service Company, Sinclair Refining Company and ultimately worked for General Motors Corporation at the Wilmington Plant for 36 years.

He married the love of his life, Barbara Russell, in November 1958 and together they raised five children. Tony placed a very high value on family life and he always encouraged his children In their faith, studies and sports lives.

As a young man, Tony played guitar in a local band. They played at serenades, weddings and block parties throughout South Philadelphia. He even participated in a string band in the Mummers New Year's Day parade. He loved opera, particularly La Boheme, and Rigoletto, as well as anything Frank Sinatra.

The happiest time of his life, besides being with his family, was coaching football. He coached youth football from 1959 to 1982. He was an assistant coach at Salesianum High School from 1983 to 2022 He did his best to impart his cherished values of hard work, teamwork and fair play to the young men he coached.

Tony was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and rooted for the Phillies and the Eagles until the end. He enjoyed summer vacations in Sea Isle City, NJ with his family. Tony enjoyed solving Sudoku in his spare time.

Tony was a dedicated husband and father, and an excellent role model for his children. His family loved him and will miss him greatly. He was one of a kind.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, John has resided in Glen Mills for the past 2 years. He previously resided in Drexel Hill for 28 years where he was an active member of St. Andrew's Parish serving as Collection Counter. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University, where he met and fell in love with Nancy, his wife of 55 years. That began a lifelong passion for all things Penn State. He was involved with and served as President of the Delaware County (Brandywine) chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and was a Football Season Ticket holder and attended games regularly, tailgating with family and friends in his RV. John was an entrepreneur from a very young age and had many business ventures including a beach grill, Christmas tree lots, and a fruit/produce store in Reading Terminal Market. Out of all of his businesses, he was most proud of founding Common Sense Technologies with his partner Nancy, which has been providing technology consulting for 35 years and is now a multi-generational company. For 25 years, John volunteered for the "Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation" and served on the Board. He was a member of the Father Judge Alumni Association and involved with their annual golf outing. He was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. In addition, John enjoyed gardening and, most of all, loved spending time with his family, especially when it came to watching his grandchildren's sports and activities. He also loved coaching his daughters' and grandson's youth sports teams.

Jeff, Dad, Uncle Jeff, Mr. Jeff and his personal favorite, TaTa was born on November 15th, 1958 to Curits and Dolores Trump in Wilmington, Delaware.

Jeff was born to fix things. He started at a young age with his love of cars. He spent many years in the construction industry before branching out on his own. When he wasn't watching the race or an Eagles game, he would be out fixing/washing someone's car, starting yet another project or his absolute favorite, cutting grass.

At 15, a girl who lived across the street caught Jeff's attention. Jeff and Becky started dating in 1973 and have been inseparable ever since. Married in 1979, Jeff and Becky would go on to have 4 beautiful children. They raised their family together in Claymont, Delaware for 30 years. Jeff took his role of father very seriously and was the very best. By far, Jeff's greatest joy in life was his grandchildren Aubrey, Wren and Otto. If he was able, he would be at every event, concert and game to root them on.

Jeff is survived by his wife Becky (Lamberson) of 44 years, his 4 children Justin (Erica), Ciara, Rachel (Andrew) and Nathan (Carly) and his grandchildren Aubrey, Wren, Otto and Noah; Sisters Sharon McQuay, Connie Trump, and Judy Rinehart.

Above all, Jenn's heart found its truest solace in the embrace of family and friends. Beach outings became cherished traditions, where she loved to hear the symphony of waves mingled with the laughter of loved ones, especially her daughter, with whom she shared countless sunsets, each a testament to their bond. He assisted with the Boy Scouts when his sons were scouts at St. Kevin Parish. An electrical engineer, Joe was a longtime employee of Westinghouse and retired while working in Orlando. In Florida, Joe enjoyed boating, swimming in the pool and participating in numerous community activities. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family, and was beloved for his upbeat personality, gentle kindness, and winning sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Martin and Lillian Krebs Barrett, Joe is preceded in death by his son, Martin J. Barrett, three siblings, Albert Barrett, Martin Barrett Jr. and Mary Goff. She was born June 27, 1937, in Trainer, Pa., and was a graduate of Chester High School and Neumann University. Phyllis brought infinite joy to everyone who knew her—her family, friends, and colleagues and all those she touched during her life. Her smile radiated the love and kindness that were her essence and live on in our hearts.

Phyllis began her career as a radiographer and was then employed in AstraZeneca's biomedical laboratory. After retiring from AstraZeneca, she served as the volunteer coordinator for Assisi House, the retirement home for the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. Beginning in the 1980s, Phyllis was a Sisters of St. Francis companion. She served on the companion advisory board, volunteered at Assisi House following her employment there, and was a member of the Secular Franciscan Fraternity.

Phyllis truly lived her Franciscan spirituality, expressing her faith and values throughout all areas of her life, including through her books of poetry, Our Awesome God and Flower and Tree and All That We See. In her leisure time, Phyllis especially enjoyed golf and billiards—earning several billiards trophies at Maris Grove, where she lived from October 2008. During her years at Maris Grove, she served as chair of the community's Catholic Council and was a member of the Writers' Group. She was also active in the Church of the Holy Child, Wilmington, De.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Michael Petryk, her sisters Eleanor Walls and Florence Petryk, and her brothers, Eugene Patrick and Henry Petryk. Flo and Phyllis lived together for many years in Wilmington and then in Maris Grove. Phyllis is survived by her sister Jean Faulkner; her nieces Gloria Walls and Roseann Lee (Jason); her nephews Ernest Faulkner (Roseann), David Faulkner (Barbara), Eugene Faulkner (Kathy), Harry Walls Jr. (Ruth), and Brian Walls Sr. (Patty); her sister-in-law Joan Patrick; and her 10 grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her many friends, who are deeply blessed to have had Phyllis in their lives. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington. Family and friends may call at Holy Child beginning at 10 a.m., April 30.
