We are so thankful for this as now he is with Dean (Mom) in Heaven rejoicing and watching over his family!

Robert Oades - October 10, 1985 - February 07, 2020

Departed: 02/07/2020 (Pace)
Obituary Preview: Robert James Oades passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at the age of 34.
Robert was born to parents James and Louise Oades on October 23, 1985 in Charleston, West Virginia. He attended South Charleston High School, West Virginia University and later the University of West Florida. He completed all but his last semester to obtain a master’s degree in Social work.
The cause of death was a seizure, a delayed result of a traumatic brain injury he suffered eight years ago when he was hit by a car while walking. A crucial part of his rehabilitation was spent at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, where he re-learned everything we do everyday daily without thinking: standing, balance, walking, talking, and being able to feed himself. Memory and memories came back slowly. His incredible recovery…
Despite all the hardship he faced these last eight years and all the obstacles he had to overcome, he remained upbeat and positive the entire time. He never lost his character, goofy sense of humor, his intellect, or his inquisitive nature. Unlike many people that suffer a TBI, Robert was remarkably optimistic. A few years after the accident, Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduating in the top 2% of his class, and was only a semester away from finishing his master’s degree in Social Work. He chose Social Work because he wanted to help people - those who went through similar situations as himself and those just in need. It was what he really wanted to pursue as a career. Robert was employed by Lakeview, as a Behavioral Tech, in a job that he loved. In this position his kind gentle heart was adored by co-workers while helping many people at ASU (the Acute Stabilization Center).
Off the job, Robert loved soccer. He played FIFA online and was a lifelong and avid supporter of Manchester United. He was also very much into health and fitness and was a regular at the gym. When he wasn’t working out, you could find him playing or cuddling with his mother’s two dogs.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Annalee Browne; grandfather, Papa Joe Howard, granddad, James Henry Oades; and his aunt, Lanell Bemis.
Rob is survived by his parents, Louise Biernesser and Jim Oades; his elder brother, Jeremy Wisnewski; his identical twin brother, Philip Oades; grandmother, Una Oades; aunts, Gillian Godwin, Gina McVay, Louneda Dickerson; uncle, John Browne; Godparents, Steve and Sheila Morrison; many cousins, stepmother, Renee Oades; and stepfather, Jim Biernesser. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 13, 2020, at the Milton Event Center (5256 Alabama St, Milton, Florida 32570.)
