Obituary Preview: Paula Elise Klein, 83, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024 surrounded by her family. Paula is now reunited with her loving husband, Jerry.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Grace Debaz.
Paula leaves behind her daughters, Susan Shafer (Sean) and Donna Truluck (Chip), as well as her son, Paul. She will always be in the hearts of her grandsons, Morgan Shaw (Katherine) and Aidan Shaw (Taylor Earley), and her granddaughter, Cameron Shaw.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Brookdale Assisted Living as well as her medical team at Greer Memorial Hospital for her excellent care.
Paula had many loves, but her greatest was taking in and caring for her four-legged family members. With this in mind, please honor her by continuing this love with a donation to your nearest humane society, The ASPCA, or the adoption of your newest family member.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Eunice Saxon Sizemore.
Wanda devoted her life to helping others through her passionate work in the Oncology Department at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Her dedication to her profession was matched only by her love for her family.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose greatest joy was her granddaughter, Natalie. Wanda treasured every moment spent with her and took immense pride in her.
Known for her strong work ethic and deep family values, Wanda's kindness and compassion touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Wanda leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and care that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Gilliland and Robin Gilliland; daughter, Nicole Reyna; granddaughter, Natalie Grace; and sisters, Jimmie Putnam and Susan Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Long.
A memorial service will take place at New Life Baptist Church at a later date.

Dewey Leroy Stone, - July 01, 1935 - May 15, 2024

Obituary Preview: Dewey Leroy Stone, Sr, 88, of Greenville SC, walked into Heaven and into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was met there by his wife, Naomi, who had gone before him 8 years ago.
He was also met there by his father, Levis O'dell Stone, his mother, Minnie Lee Stone, his brother, James Virgil Stone and many other relatives and friends. Dewey worked for Canteen of Dixie and retired from there after 38 years. After retirement, he took classes in small engine repair and started a lawn mower repair business at his home. He quickly became known as "The Lawnmower Man."
Dewey was a man who was loved by everyone who met him. He never had a harsh word to say about anyone, and was willing to help with anything the moment he was asked. He was born to serve others.
He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and had served as a treasurer there. In his later years, and up until last week, he would go daily and make sure the staff had coffee ready when they got there. He gave himself the job of doing the church's Sam's Club run each month and took pride in doing so.
Dewey and his wife, Naomi, took care of their oldest daughter, Cindy, at home until she was 18, and once she was moved to Whitten center, visited her every other week. Even after his wife, Naomi, passed away, Dewey still visited her faithfully each month.
Dewey took care of Naomi when she had dementia and fulfilled his promise to keep her home until she took her last breath. Oh, the love he had for his beautiful wife was one to see! When people talk about Dewey, they will all say he is the kindest man they have ever met and had the sweetest smile.
Even though our hearts are heavy with the loss of our father, grandfather and friend, we can still rejoice in knowing he is and in the presence of his Savior and we will see him again one day.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia Diane Stone of Clinton, Teresa Stone Willis (Randy), and Dewey Leroy Stone, Jr. (Lori), both of Greenville; granddaughters, Meghan Willis Shroy (Matthew), Lauren Stone Harvey (Uriah), Allison Elise Stone and Gracen Elizabeth Stone;and a great-grandson, Dylan Randall Shroy.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 12 Piney Rd, Greenville, SC, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Mountain View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest, SC.

Reverend Farmer's character was defined by his exceptional work ethic, steadfast family values, and profound faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
He is survived by his 7 children, and many beloved grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by 5 children.

Teddy retired from a successful career in truck driving, having worked for King's Express, where he was known for his reliability and dedication.
Teddy was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of great character, always placing his family above all else. He cherished time spent with loved ones. He will be remembered by everyone whose lives he touched.
In addition to his loving wife, Louise, he is survived by daughters, Ranae Waldrip, Kathy Hudgins, Deborah Pearson, and Gwen Noffz; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Johnson.

Frances enjoyed a successful career in sales, particularly in the insurance industry, where her expertise and kind demeanor made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Frances was known for treating everyone with warmth and compassion, she never met a stranger and demonstrated love everywhere she went.
A woman of deep Pentecostal faith, Frances's love for the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family meant the world to her. Frances had a remarkable ability to create a home filled with love, she had an unwavering commitment to her family, believing that they were the greatest blessing in her life.
Frances is now home with her Savior, but will be dearly missed and fondly remembered as a woman of immense faith, compassion, and love for her family.
She is survived by sons, Darren Jones and Daniel Mason-Jones (Jody); granddaughter, Breann Person; grandsons, Donavon Jones, Jordan Jones, Brendan Jones, Camaron Jones, Arron Jones, and Easton Mason-Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brent Jones.

Kenneth was a 1978 graduate of Berea High School. After high school he began working in the construction industry where he stayed until he retired in 2022.
Kenneth loved his family and throughout his life enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to the beach, tending to his yard, cooking, and watching NASCAR. He was always working on some project, he often stated, "staying busy kept him out of trouble".
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving "sweetheart" of many years, Kim Rice-Smith; brothers; Gene Anthony (Louise) and Gary Anthony (Nina); sister Deborah Mazerall (Mike); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth was loved by all and will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Joyce Hayes Kay, 84, wife of the late Ralph H. Kay, Jr. entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Hayes.
Joyce was a proud graduate of Parker High School, Class of 1958.  She and Ralph were married for 45 years before his death in 2003.  They enjoyed many years of traveling and attending football games at Williams-Brice Stadium to cheer on the Gamecocks.
She was a retired employee of the Greenville Water System.  Joyce was a member of Berea First Baptist Church.
Joyce is survived by her loving daughter, Gina Kay Tatum  and husband Barry.  She loved being a “MiMi” to her granddaughter, Melissa Kay Tatum Rainey and husband Chad; her grandson, Zach Tatum and wife Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Tatum Olivia Rainey, Hayden Grace Rainey and Landon Hall Tatum.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Williams.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Spring Park Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they provided.
A graveside service, officiated by Dr. Chad Rickenbaker, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Graham Norris Bramlette - December 19, 1939 - April 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: Graham Norris Bramlette, 84, beloved husband of the late Alice Bramlette, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.
Graham was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Conway Graham and Sue Anna Bramlette.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and David Maddox; his sister and brother-in-law, Orinda and Ruben Journet; his sister-in-law, Emily Rogers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Bill Hill; nephews, Andy Rogers (Jennifer) and Mark Rogers (Kara); niece, Stephanie Caddell (Josh); great nephews, Ethan and Stephen; and great nieces, Shaylie, Lexie, Elizabeth and Kinsley. Graham always enjoyed and looked forward to our family gatherings with these loved ones.
Graham was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Ward Bramlette. They met at the hospital in Spartanburg where Alice was working as a nurse and Graham was her patient. Graham and Alice were married for 39 years. They loved to travel, try new restaurants, attend concerts, fairs, and festivals. Disney World was one of their favorite destinations with Mickey Mouse being Graham’s favorite character of all time. They shared many wonderful adventures together.
He was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Randy Rogers, and Bobby Ward, and by his longtime employee and friend, James Redding.
Graham enjoyed trips and adventures with Alicia and David over the years with his favorite being a trip to Disney World for his 70th birthday. Another of his favorites was their trip out west to Mount Rushmore and The Badlands. In more recent years, he enjoyed local day adventures with Alicia that they named “Gallivanting with Graham” which included trips to one of his favorites, the Beacon in Spartanburg, for their world-famous Hash sandwich and to the Clock on White Horse Road for a Chili Cheeseburger.
He was a member of Brookwood Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina. He loved to sing and enjoyed being a member of the Brookwood Choir for many years. He formed many special friendships during his time in the choir with his dear friend, Sharyn, being his favorite. Sharyn was his “drinking buddy” as they shared a love for Diet Dr. Pepper.
He was a proud graduate of the class of 1958 of Spartanburg High School. He played football and baseball for Spartanburg High. He always enjoyed attending his high school reunions and was loved by all his classmates. He was also a proud graduate of Clemson University, Class of 1963, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Management. After graduating from Clemson and a brief career at the Beattie Plant in Fountain Inn, he realized his calling was to work with his dad in the commercial floor covering business. He took over Bramlette Floor Service a few years later and built it into a very successful business serving South and North Carolina. He was known as a flooring expert throughout the commercial construction industry and developed lifelong friendships with his customers, vendors, and employees. In the mid-2000s, after a life changing illness, he retired and closed Bramlette Floor Service.
Graham loved baseball and had the unique opportunity to serve as honorary bench coach for North Greenville University under Coach Nihart. Graham met Coach Nihart while attending baseball games at North Greenville where his nephew, Andy, was a player. Coach Nihart graciously bestowed this honorary coaching title to him, and Graham was forever grateful. This opportunity brought him tremendous joy and he formed many friendships with the players. He formed specials bonds with some and was even given the honor of officiating the wedding of one of the players, Matthew Marrone, years after he left his coaching duties.
Graham was an avid Clemson football fan whose blood definitely ran orange. Go Tigers!! He learned the words to the Clemson Alma Mater in 1958 and could still sing it flawlessly just two weeks prior to his passing. He was a big race fan, especially NASCAR, and loved to talk “racing” with his sister. He was an avid collector of just about anything with extensive knowledge of all types of collectibles. He loved to cook and out of his love of cooking, he and his sister ran a small catering business in addition to their primary jobs. At Christmas time, their catering company would produce their famous “Merry Christmas cookies” from an old family recipe. Customers, vendors, family, and friends always looked forward to these famous cookies. Graham was also known for his famous pimento cheese and cheesecake. These were always requested at family reunions. He self-published a cookbook of our family recipes titled “The Ole Tiger Is A Cooking”.
Graham will be remembered as being a survivor. Graham has been able to thrive and live a good life because of the great medical care provided by his doctor and dear friend of 50 years, Dr. Steve Freeman. He survived Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was pronounced cancer free in 2004. In 2013, he went through a nine-month life changing illness that resulted in the amputation of his right leg. His determination to be self-sufficient drove him to excel in rehabilitation. He completed a driving course and was given his license to drive with hand controls. He was completely self-sufficient until he decided to give up driving in 2022 but continued to live on his own doing all daily tasks by himself. Graham was a true survivor.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by the memorial service at 4:00 p.m.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace Emory Bowen.
Elaine was adored by many. She had a love of bookkeeping and teaching others. She enjoyed being around others and family. Her hobbies were “kickin’ around” (thrift shopping), politics, and playing games.
She is survived by daughters, Melissa Rader, and Sandra Reece (Christopher); sons, Charles Turner, Christopher Blackwell and David Blackwell; brother, Leon McCoig; grandchildren, Megan Wooten, Logan Turner and Payton Logan; and great grandchild, Lilly Wooten.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles McCoig, Donnie Bowen, Danny Bowen; sisters, Kay Murphy, Janice Heath, Becky Kingery and Annette Harvey; and grandson Drew Rader.

Rhoda Belle Davis - June 14, 1937 - April 24, 2024

Obituary Preview: Rhoda Belle Hodge Davis, 86, went to her final home April 24, 2024, that her Heavenly
Father had prepared just for her, as HE promised.
She fought a valiant battle with Dedifferentiated Chondrosarcoma; one of the most aggressive forms of cancer. Neither chemotherapy nor radiation could touch it, but she did not give up; she fought back. She had her left arm amputated with the hope of ridding her frail body of that wicked ailment, however on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, we found out that the cancer had spread to her lungs; that is when she succumbed to her ailment and our Lord and Savior called her home. We feel sure that HE said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." HE is ALWAYS right on time.
Born in Manning, SC, she was the daughter of the late Richard Levant and Lou Belle Hodge. She was their only child. Her mother Lou Belle died three days after giving birth to her. Rhoda was raised by her grandmother and father, until her father married Pauline Geddings Hodge.
She graduated from Manning High School with the class of 1955. She regularly attended her high school reunions.
She was married to John William Davis, Sr. for 43 years before our Heavenly Father called him home in 2001. He was the love of her life.
They were faithful members of Tabernacle Baptist Church after joining the church in 1982. There she remained until being called home.
She is survived by daughters, Kay Young, Arlene Davis, and son, John Davis Jr. (Teresa). She was also the grandmother to Tony Moore (Keshia), Will (Janna), Jennifer, Shannon, and Abbey. She had five great-grandchildren. She also had a special neighbor, Jimmy, who tried to look after her when she would allow it.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at
Tabernacle Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Lula Ross James.
Mary's passion was her love of her family, flowers, and her garden. Those who knew her say she definitely had a green thumb. Her family can't say enough about how much she meant to them. She lived a rough life in poverty, but she managed to raise five kids basically by herself. She was known as an amazing woman whose strong faith in God inspired her kids. She was also a role model for strong women, who never drank alcohol or used drugs. Was she perfect? Of course not, but then again who is? She will be dearly missed by all her children and all who knew her.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Sue Hudson, Joyce Blackwell (Mike) and Patricia Ann O'Bryant (Rodger); son, David Dale Hudson (Ruth); nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Brenda Hudson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Earle Hudson; granddaughters, Connie Lynn Wilson and Evelyn Marie Dickerson.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be Monday, April 29, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cecil Ernest Lowery - September 26, 1919 - April 22, 2024

Obituary Preview: Cecil Ernest Lowery, 104, of Greenville, loving husband of Sarah Robinson Lowery, was welcomed into the presence of the Lord and Savior Monday April 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Henrietta, NC, to parents Willie Lee Lowery and Eva McCraw Lowery, he lived in the Henrietta area until the family relocated to Greenville, SC seeking opportunity in the textile industry. Cecil began working at Mills Mill at age 16. At age 20, when duty called, he joined the Army in 1941 during World War II, where he served primarily in Iceland in the 420nd Quartermasters Battalion. After the war, he returned to Greenville where he met Sarah, his pride and joy, who was his wife of 72 years. He ultimately became the outside supervisor at Mills Mill, and ever the entrepreneur he founded his own lawn maintenance business, which he happily worked well into his nineties.
Cecil, a man of great faith, was a longtime member of San Souci Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and on the grounds and maintenance committee. He later became a member of Reedy River Baptist Church where he continued to inspire others with his Christian walk of faith.
Cecil enjoyed serving others as evidenced by his long-time service to the Berea Lion's Club. He was quick to lend a helping hand to family, neighbors, and friends, performing random acts of kindness well into his senior years. He enjoyed gardening and loved to share his produce and flowers in the community. He also ministered to the homebound by visiting sharing his baked goods.
His single greatest legacy is his family whom he lovingly shepherded. He is survived by his son Lynn Lowery (Beverly), daughters Cecilia Williams (Doug) and Susan Robbins (Tony); grandchildren David Lowery (Victoria), Mark Lowery (Sara), Elizabeth Johnson (Brett), Tena Cagle (Mel), Melissa Fair (Chris Tatum), Bryan Fair, and Heather Gilliam (Colt). He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Miranda, Esmè, Sylvan, and Myles.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Furman, Hoyle, Glynn, and Dewey Lowery as well as sisters, Lorena Mosteller and Mildred Mostella, his son-in-law, Doug Williams, and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Lowery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The funeral service to honor Cecil's life will be held on April 25, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Reedy River Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest with military honors on April 25, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 595 Old Liberty Rd in Easley, SC.

Larry is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Pam Redding (Red); his children, Larry Redding and his wife Tammy, Shane Redding, Kimberly Moffat and her husband Joel, Logan Ervin and her husband Ryan; his grandchildren, Preston, Brittany, Hannah, Chandler, Easton, Landon and Nathan; his great-grandchildren, Isla, Audrey Grace, Kaia and Mila; siblings, Ricky, Steve and Michael Redding, Diane Sizemore, Janet Halstead; half-sister, Teresa Campbell; and stepbrother, Keith Holliday. He is also survived by many "adopted" children, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunt and uncle and a multitude of friends he considered family.
He was a member at Foothills Baptist Church in Travelers Rest and served as a Deacon.
Larry loved The Lord, his family, life, friends, and his Gamecocks! He never met a stranger and he helped anyone he could anytime he could. There are not enough words to describe him, but if you knew him, you loved him and if he knew you, he loved you.
There will be a reception with a gathering of friends and family on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The family would like to invite you to come and spend time sharing memories, love, and laughter. The reception will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., in the social hall of Reedy River Baptist Church 871 N Hwy 25 Bypass Greenville 29617, and the Celebration of Life will take place in the sanctuary at 2:30 p.m. The family will be at Larry and Pam's home, and open to anyone that would like to stop by!

Paul leaves behind a legacy of hard work, honesty, and unwavering love. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Jerry (Vickie) and Clayton (Tara); grandsons, Brandon (Destiny); granddaughter, Riley, and Addie Rae; great-granddaughter, Paisley sisters, Audrey Guy, and Fay Hedgepath (Wayne); brother-in-law, Richard Hamilton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Guy Hamilton.

Those who knew Lynn remember her for her heart of gold and her willingness to help anyone in need. She was known for her straightforward and honest nature, never hesitating to speak her mind. Her spicy personality added a vibrant energy to every interaction, and her sincerity meant that one never had to question where they stood with her.
Above all, Lynn's family was the center of her world, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart. Her love knew no bounds, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
