Mr. Harrington was born March 24, 1938, in Macon, Miss., a son of Edward and Aassie Harrington. He lived in the area for 70 plus years, was a former member of Tabernacle Baptist and was a former church treasurer, it's male chorus, and enjoyed bowling and baseball.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Lee (Tazreen) Harrington and  Sharon Harrington, both of California, Byron Harrington of New York, Kenya Harrington of Canton, Jason Myers, Quiana Tucker, Kenneth Tucker, Kevin Tucker, all of Ohio, step-children, Sonya Wells of Maryland, Stacey Yamamoto, of Ohio, and Selena Gladmon of Georgia, siblings; Edna Roberson of Illinois, Frances Ross of Ohio, Doris (James) Walton of Calif., Keith (Brenda) Harrington of Ga., 29 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

Lambert Bubble Peterson Jr. - March 13, 1938 - October 25, 2016

Obituary Preview: Lambert (Bubble) Peterson Jr-Funeral services will be held at the Greater Apostolic Faith Church, at 3571 Tod Ave., in Warren, Ohio, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 12 noon, for Mr. Lambert (Bubble) Peterson Jr., 78, of Vienna,Ohio who went home to be with Lord surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Lambert was born in Luverne, Alabama on March 13, 1938 to the union of the late Lambert and Zonie Mae Peterson Sr. He attended the Crenshaw County Training School in Luverne. He was united in marriage on August 31, 1963 to the former Mae Etta Rodgers and celebrated 50 Years of marriage 3 years ago by renewing their vows. A dedicated hard worker and strong provider for his family, he was employed by AP O'horo Construction for almost 40 years as a foreman. Not content with retirement, he worked for an additional 12 years at NEOCAP as a driver and was promoted to a resident supervisor where he was respectfully known as "Mr. P." Eventually retiring from there he decided to work and play at 2 local golf courses, Old Dutch Mill and Avalon South and also was employed by Sibley-Murray funeral home.
Lambert was a proud 50-year gold card member of the International HOD local 925 Laborers Union.
Lambert excepted Christ at an early age in Alabama at Little Branch Baptist Church. He later moved to Warren Ohio and became a faithful and committed member of Triedstone Baptist Church for over 45 years, where he served in several ministries to include as an usher, nurse, and the choir where he could be heard singing his favorite songs, Learning to Lean and The Old Ship of Zion. He was also on the deacon board for 40 years where he served as the Chairman. He was also a gifted Sunday School teacher and loved teaching the work of  God. Lambert believed that having an intimate relationship with God required, reading, studying, and listnening to the word of God.
Lambert believed in "Each one reaches one", and believed in witnessing to folks no matter where he was and who it was to. He could be found on many occasions along with the late  Deacon Roosevelt White, sharing God's word.
Committed to his community, he was a driver for Meals on Wheels. He was also was active with the youth in the community having served as the first black little league baseball coach in Leavittsburg, Ohio. His motivational coaching style led to parents and children wanting to play for his teams. During this time of coaching he was responsible for leading his team to several championships. Over the past 45 years players have sought Lambert out to say thank you for  teaching them the game of both baseball and life. All 4 of his boys have folowed in his footsteps of both coaching and coaching style.
Bubble enjoyed fishing, golfing, and was an avid gardener. He was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan and made sure to let everyone know it. He loved golf and became one of an elite group of golfers when he celebrated "a hole in one" at Tamer Wynn.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Mae Etta; 3 sons from this union, Pastor Vincent (Evelyn) Peterson I, Michael (Julie) Peterson; Minister Ronald Andre (Wanda) Peterson, I and an "adopted" son he helped to rear African (Stacey) Grant. 2 chidren from a prior relationship, Betty Anne Thorton, and Dwayne Davis. His sisters; Minnie Parks and Lennie Richardson, an uncle, John (Sonny Boy) Peterson, a special brother-in-law, Leonard Rodgers, 12 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters Stella Mae Williams, Bonnie Mae Peterson, Fannie Richardson, and Odessa Peterson, and a favorite brother-in-law and work partner, and a grandson; Isaiah Richardson. Friends may call from 10 am to 12 noon, with the services immediately following. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial on Youngstown Road in Warren. Guests will be received at 210 Southwind Drive in Howland.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 16, 1943, in Camilla Georgia, a daughter of  the late Rev. Lawyer and Thelma Hicks Hunter. Mrs. Johnson graduated from The Rayen High School in 1961. Mrs. Johnson retired from Blue Cross, Blue Shield Company, Mrs. Johnson also work for the Youngstown Board of Education and the Youngstown Hearing and Speech. Mrs. Johnson also lived in Hawaii and New York. She was a member of St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, and was the church secretary, and the Steward Board, and active member of Local and North Ohioan Conference Lay Organization, The Women Missionary Society, was a Director of North Ohio Conference Youth Choir for many years, and was the director of various choirs of St.Andrewes A.M. E. Church. Mrs. Johnson belonged to many musical groups choirs in the Youngstown, Warren Community Area of all denominations.
She leaves to cherish her memory nephews; Brian (Valencia) Marrow of Youngstown, Duane (Pam) Marrow of Austintown, Vincent (Dr. Monique) Marrow of Lexington, Kentucky, and Raymond Marrow of Youngstown, Ohio, nieces; Freida Marrow Hicks of Youngstown, and Thelma Marrow of Lexington, Kentucky, stepson; Willie Johnson Jr., of Youngstown, Step daughter; Lillie White of Columbus, and a host of other great nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Murray, (retired administrator for Youngstown City Schools), a son; Col. Dwayne A. Dickens (US Army), all of Youngstown, 2 grandchildren; Edward "Joey" (LaToya) Murray of Youngstown, Monica Murray (Carlos) Jones, of Liberty, 6 great-grandchildren; Kiara, Edward Jr., Jaira, Isaiah, Zion, and Elisha, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Evelyn was born May 15, 1930, in Tifton, Ga., she was a resident of Alliance for more than 50 years. She was married to the late Macon Brown and was a member of Second Baptist Church. During her life, Evelyn was employed as a nurse aide at Alliance Community Hospital, a mini bus driver at Balog Cab Co., a city school bus driver, a cafeteria aide at Morgan Elementary School and owned and operated a wig and record shops. She was very involved in her community and was the founder of Evelyn Spiritual Hour broadcast on Mount Union's WRMU 91.1 FM, begining in 1970. She was a founder of The Christian Mission Fellowship; organized the Evelyn Christian Singles Club; was a member of the Democratic party, serving as treasurer on on the Executive Board; and served on city council as the first minority councilwoman. She supported Counclilman Wilson Stump in changing Morgan Street on way between East Summit and Garwood. She served on the Mental of Health Board, Park and Recreation Board and board of the Stark County African American Historical and Cultural Museum Project; organized a Toys for Tots drive for kids; chaired banquets in honor of Councilman Curvis Rhyme and Barbara Nicholson; the first minority on Alliance School Board; and co-chaired the first NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet of Alliance. Evelyn was a past member of American Legion Post 791, serving as chaplain; second vice president of the Haines House Underground Railroad Project; president of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Steering Committee, organizing the annual MLK Parade and a member of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Civic Committee. She was instrumental in changing North and South Liberty Avenue to Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and the viaduct to Dr, Martin Luther King Viaduct. Evelyn was a retired black history column writer for the Alliance Review, and was a poetry and play writer. She was listed in Who's Who in black America and was inducted into the YWCA Wall of Fame and the Stark County NAACP Black History Hall of Fame. A former member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, she served as president of the Senior Mission and president of the Ways and Means Committee. She enjoyed playing games, cooking BBQ ribs, decorating and watching television. She was survived by her nephews, Willie C. (Ann) McCray of Pearson, GA., and Cecil (Emma) Jefferson of Alliance; nieces, Mary Jefferson of Alliance, Cora Jeferson of Alliamce, Susie Jefferson of Dallas, TX., Donna Jefferson of Pearson,GA., Cynthia Simmons of PA., Merrian Harris of Atlanta, Ora Ford of Alliance, and Zondria Heard of Alliance; and a host of cousins and church family.
