Obituary Preview: Lisa Maureen (Peralta) Fields, 57, of Southborough, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the daughter of Luis Peralta and the late Maureen (Leary) Peralta, and the wife of John Fields, to whom she was married for 11 years.
Besides her husband and her father, she is survived by her children, Stephen Tzianabos and his wife Cara of Franklin; Jack Tzianabos of Southborough; Alison Tzianabos of Southborough; Ryan Fields of Medford; Amber Fields and her fiancé, David Dwinells of Chelsea; and Heather Fields of Aspen, CO; her brothers, Steven and his wife, Linda Peralta of Plymouth; James Peralta and his wife Ellen Brandt of Bernardsville, NJ; Robert and his wife, Jennifer Peralta of Fairview, TX; and her sister, Julie Peralta of Hudson.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Lisa also had an accomplished career as an accountant. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Finance from Boston College, she began her career at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo, CA. She later worked at State Street Bank in bustling downtown Boston before ending her career at Metrolube, Inc. in Marlborough.
Lisa lived with family and friends at the forefront of her mind. Incredibly kind and generous, she was the kind of person who would drop your favorite dessert at your doorstep just because she was thinking of you. To hear her laugh was pure joy; it reverberated through every room in every home she lived. She’ll be remembered hiking the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, reading on a Cape Cod beach, training for the Boston Marathon, which she ran and completed, and relaxing with her dogs, Walter and Charlie, at her home in Southborough.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Matthew Church, 26 Highland Street, Southborough, MA.

Paul D. Fiorentino - August 25, 1954 - June 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: Paul D. Fiorentino, 67, of Marlborough, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. He was the son of the late Theresa and Dr. Domenic S. Fiorentino.
Paul was a 1972 graduate of Marion High School in Framingham and attended Northeastern University. He worked for Super Stop and Shop in Westborough for over 14 years and was an active participant at Employment Options, Inc. for many years. Paul was always willing to give a helping hand to any who needed it. He was a passionate fisherman and an avid Boston sports fan. Paul made friends where ever he went and was known for his gentle and calm manner.  He is survived by his sister, Carol Maloney of Westborough; a sister in law, Jacqueline Fiorentino of Kennebunkport, ME; 2 nephews, Michael Maloney of Loveland, CO; Alexander Fiorentino of Yarmouth, ME; 4 nieces, Katherine Maloney of Amherst, NY: Domenica Murray of Stone Ridge NY;  Francesca Williams of Swamscott; and Anna Fiorentino of Portland, ME.
Paul was predeceased by his brother, Robert Fiorentino and a niece, Margaret Maloney.
There will be visiting hours from 9 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 8 at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

Dorothy M. Phaneuf - August 30, 1937 - June 01, 2022

Obituary Preview: Dorothy M. Phaneuf, 84, a longtime resident of Southborough, died in Hospice care in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Dorothy was born in Somerville, MA to the late Elizabeth (Roberts) and Thomas Smith. Raised in Framingham, she graduated from Framingham High School and worked at General Electric in Ashland before marrying Edgar Phaneuf, Jr. in 1959. Dorothy and Edgar were married for 44 years, until his death in 2003. Upon the birth of their daughter, Dorothy chose to be a stay-at-home mother for many years. She was active as a CCD teacher at St. Matthew Church in Southborough and as a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
In 1978 Dorothy began her long career with the Town of Southborough, first for the Board of Selectmen and later in the Accountant’s office. She eventually was appointed Town Accountant, a position of which she was tremendously proud. Dorothy retired from the Town in 2007.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, the Rev. Patricia Phaneuf Alexander; her son-in-law, the Rev. J. Randolph Alexander, Jr.; her grandsons, William, Peter, and Andrew Alexander, all of Alexandria, VA; her brother, Thomas Smith  his wife Janis of The Villages, FL; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by a brother, John William Smith, and a nephew, Joshua Owen Smith.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 13, from 10-10:30 a.m. at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 26 Highland Street, Southborough.  Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.

Deborah L. Carey - June 13, 1950 - May 31, 2022

Obituary Preview: Deborah “Debby” Lee Carey, of Southborough, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on May 31, 2022 at age 71. She was the beloved wife of Kent Carey, for over 53 years, who she married after graduating from high school, and the daughter of the late Janet and Roland Soucy .
Debby was the kind of person who loved God and did whatever she could to take care of those around her. She taught religious education and was an active part of the church. Debby was a full time Mom, baker, and artist who created inspirational pieces that made people feel at home. Her most prominent trait was how much she truly loved everyone, and that love will continue to grow within the hearts of all those who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she survived by her children, Keith Carey; Brian Carey and his wife Teresa; her brothers, David Soucy; John Soucy; her grandchildren, Sara, Juliet, Luke and Henry Carey.
Debby is predeceased by her sister, Pamela.

Obituary Preview: Janet (Slatkavitz) Martin, 89, of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of late Doak Martin who died in 1998.
Janet was a 1950 graduate of Framingham High School and was a second generation member of the Framingham Heart Study. Her children are proudly the third generation.  Janet was a home maker who devoted her life to caring for her immediate and extended family. She was always there when they needed her. Janet loved Cape Cod, from the time she visited family in Truro as child and eventually moved there after her husband retired.  While living on the Cape, she and Doak were bee keepers, who were happy to share their honey they harvested from their hives. Janet's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Diane Pierce and her husband ,Bill of Upton; Sandra Gooch of Milford; Daniel Des Marais of Ashland; her siblings, William Slatkavitz of Bellingham; Robert Slatkavitz and his wife, Joan of Southborough; Maryann Drugan of GA; her grandchildren, Chris Gooch and his wife Jennifer; Thomas Gooch; Brian Pierce; William Pierce and his wife Kate; 6 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her twin sister, Joyce Burnell.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Janet will be buried with her parents in St Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.

Henry W. Large, Jr - July 05, 1940 - May 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: Henry Whelen Large, Jr, 81, of Southborough passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Emily Norris (Ingersoll) and Henry Whelen Large.
Henry was a 1958 graduate of St. George School of Newport, RI and lettered three years in football and baseball. In 1962 he graduated from Princeton University and won his freshman numbers in both football and baseball. Hank also lettered in both sports his junior and senior years and was awarded the Powell Cup.  He was president of the Semper Fidelis Society and the Tiger Inn eating club. Majoring in religion, Henry wrote his thesis on the cultural reasons for the popular and positive response to Martin Luther.
Upon graduation he served in the Marine Corps and after his tour of duty he was honorably discharged.
Henry started his career as a teacher and a coach in 1965 at St. Mark's School in Southborough. Along the way he earned his Master’s degree in history at Northeastern University in Boston. In 2010 he retired from teaching but continued as assistant coach of the baseball and the football teams.
Henry is forever at peace on the baseball and the football fields and is carried in the hearts of countless people as he touched everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving partner, Mari Quirk; his children, John B. Large, Henry W. Large, III, Storm Large, John Quirk, Heather Quirk Courts, Holly Quirk Lane and 12 Grand Ones.
All services will be private. Rose Ann Duguid - November 23, 1920 - May 08, 2022

Obituary Preview: Rose Ann Duguid, 101, of Framingham and formerly of Rockford, IL,  passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham, Massachusetts.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Duguid who passed away in 1971, and the late Anthony Costello who died in 2011.
Born in Highmore, South Dakota, she was the daughter of late Martin and Emma (Weinkoetz) Connelly.
Her father worked on the railroad, so they lived in several towns in western South Dakota, including Creston, Box Elder and Belvidere, where she  graduated from Belvidere High School. As she grew up, she loved the years spent with her parents, along with her siblings Lily and Joe.
During World War II, Rose worked in staffing and bookkeeping at the Air Force Base in Sioux Falls, SD. Later she helped her brother, Joe, as a bookkeeper at his accounting firm in Rapid City. Eventually, Rose moved to Rockford, where she met her husband, John Duguid, and married in 1962.  While in Rockford, she earned a BA degree in elementary education from Rockford College, and she taught 3rd and 4th grade in the Rockford school district until her retirement in 1986.
In retirement, Rose loved bowling, square dancing, playing cards, local politics, Church activities, being with friends and neighbors, writing books, and her role as President of the Ethnic Heritage House in Rockford. She married Anthony (Tony) Costello in 1993 and they enjoyed many of these activities together.
She is survived by her son John and his wife, Mei (Shi) Duguid and their two children, Johnny, and Robert and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10 am at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway Street, Marlborough.

Gary attended school in Milford and graduated from Hopedale High School.
He was a facilities director for several years at the Spectrum House in Westborough, and  worked as a Program Advocate at Roland’s House in Marlborough for over 16 years.
He was a friend of Bill W. for over 22 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his fiancée, he is survived by his children, Steven Taylor of WA; Jessica Leigh Stagg and her husband, Kevin of Clinton; his siblings, Robert Taylor, III of Brookfield; Charlene Taylor of MO; his grandchildren, Zenah Rea and Zander Reilly Stagg; and Andrew Gauvin of CT.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ricci; his brother, Neil Ferris; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves two wonderful men, Elton Pereira and Rayne Lario who provided him a very good life with both devotion and love. He is predeceased by his sister, Debbie Ferris
Gene was the most avid fan of the Red Sox at Fenway Park, and at spring training in Jupiter, Florida. He was an avid collector of books and movies, and enjoyed his travels in Ireland, California, and Hawaii with his family. Gene endured illness in his 68 years, and faced each day with courage, grace and hope. He never accepted defeat or regret.  Gene’s heart was filled with love, and he made the world a better place for all of us
He will be remembered as a loving, kind and thoughtful person who always had a good word and a wonderful smile.
The Family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Steve Erban, UMass Memorial for his extemporary care, and James Fairbanks and staff at Thrive where he resided.

Joseph E. Green - January 01, 1940 - April 30, 2022

Obituary Preview: Joseph Edward Green, 82, of Southborough, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a lengthy illness with MS, in the loving grace of his wife and son. Joseph and his twin brother, Coleman, were born in Portland, ME, and were sons of the late Sarah Ann (Molloy) Green and Coleman J. Green.
He was a 1958 graduate of Portland High School then earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia in 1962.  After College Joe taught Science in the Portland area schools before leaving to acquire a Master’s Degree in Science from the University of Maine, Orono in 1965.
In 1968 Joe married Raye-Marie (Moody) Green and they moved to Boston where Joe sold investment properties. In 1973 they moved to Southborough, and soon after became a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and started his own business, Green & Moody Associates. Joe was awarded the prestigious membership into the Appraisal Institute in 1982. Over the years he was a trusted advisor to his clients, & town of Southborough, MA neighbors &friends with all sorts of real estate valuation topics.
Joe loved travelling with his wife to Europe, Russia, India, China, Alaska and especially to Ireland where he was able to bring his mother after she had left 50 years before. They visited the thatched cottage his mother grew up in and meet dozens and dozens of 1st cousins he had no idea existed. Joe was a huge sports fan who loved watching the Red Sox, playing tennis, & attending all of his son TJ’s athletic events with the other Southborough parents. He was a proud member of the MAI’s & the Irish American Club.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, of 54 years, Raye-Marie Green of Southborough; his son, Theodore J. (T.J.) Green of Natick; his brother, Coleman Green and his wife Paulette Green of Portland ME; first cousins, Jim Walsh, John Green; brother-in-law Christopher Moody; and many loving nieces, nephews, & cousins.
In addition to his parents he predeceased by his sister Margaret (Green) Perreault and her husband Bob.
No funeral or memorial service is planned as of yet. The family will notify loved ones when a service is scheduled. (Morenzetti) Tebo, 100, of Northborough and formerly of Southborough, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a period of declining health.  She was the beloved wife of Donald F. Tebo, who passed away in 1992.   She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Eleanora (Catalani) Morenzetti and attended school in Southborough, but left after the 8th grade to help support her family. For many years she worked as a stitcher for the former Paul’s Manufacturing in Framingham, where she made aprons.  Linda had 5 children of her own before she married Donald, who had 6 children, and together they created a loving blended family.
She is survived by her children, Jeanne Shrum of Marlborough; Sandra Beane and her husband, Larry of Marlborough; Ruth Dupree and her husband, John of Marlborough; Penni Barger and her husband, John of Ripon, CA;  Herbie Tebo and his wife, Jeanne of  E. Douglas; her daughter in laws, Carolyn Tebo and Millie Tebo; her son in laws, Rick Neiber and Bruce Bindman, numerous grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her children, Susan Bindman, Marie Neiber, Donald Tebo, Bobby Tebo, Ricky Tebo, Jackie Stevens; her siblings, Louis Morenzetti and Ann Edwards  and a grandson, John Beane.
A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, at 10 am at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborugh and burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.

Charles F. Harrison - April 11, 1936 - April 27, 2022

Obituary Preview: Charles F. Harrison, 86, of Bellingham and formerly of VT and Southborough, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2022, as a result of an illness at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Borelli) Harrison for the past 65 years.
Born in Leicester to the late Bernard and Marie(Johnson) Harrison and was their second child. Charlie spent his early years in Leicester, before moving to Acton, where he graduated from Acton High School. One of his proudest accomplishments was building his wife and children their first home in Southborough, where they lived for 24 years. He was an avid outdoorsman his entire life, spending many joyful hours hunting and fishing and spent a number of years training hunting beagles. Charlie loved all things Boston sports and also dedicated his time coaching pop warner football and little league baseball. He was a member of a bowling league team as well. An accomplished builder and tradesman, Charlie spent many years as a union carpenter before moving to Vermont and starting his own construction company called Harrison Homes. He was everyone’s “phone a friend” when it came to home improvement and DIY projects. He loved to share his knowledge and be able to help out. He lived in Vermont for 28 years before moving back to Massachusetts in 2012. A man with a serious sweet tooth, Charlie loved his daily ice cream and tic tacs, which were always on hand no matter the time of day.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Joanne (Harrison) Keenan and her husband Bill; his brother, Bernard 'Wally' Harrison; his grandchildren, Jenny Harrison, Kate Harrison, Emily (Harrison) Jaquez, Luke Harrison, Jenna Keenan, Ryan Keenan, and Amanda (Wilson) Speier; and his great-grandchildren Jasmine Flowers and Cassius Jaquez.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Deborah (Harrison) Wilson; his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Debra (Grout) Harrison; his sister, Marion McKelvie, and his brother, William Harrison.
All services will be private and burial will be in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: John C. Drachman, 73, of Southborough formerly of Framingham passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Miriam (Schoem) Drachman for 33 years and the son of the late Byron and Ruth (Riemfried) Drachman. John received his bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut. His writing talents led to a successful marketing career in New York City and Boston. An entrepreneur for the past twenty years, he founded and ran The Drachman Group, and later Alpha Segment. John loved spending time outdoors with his dogs and was a fierce backgammon player. John was a lifelong activist who firmly believed in equality and the goodness of the human spirit. He never lost his enthusiasm for life or his family – his vibrant outlook was contagious, especially out in the community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jason Lesser, Matthew Barron and his wife Emily, Andrew Drachman and his wife Liliana, and Lindsay Drachman and her partner Anthony Leombruno; his grandchildren, Fernanda, Caroline, Olivia, Jordan, and Theodore and his brother, Todd Drachman.
