She had the biggest heart and soul, her family meant everything to her. Kathy was fun and funny, her laugh could make anyone join in and laugh with her. She always saw the comical side to almost any situation. She loved to get out and about to see and join in with life. She loved to be in nature, go for hikes, especially if there was a lake involved and when her family could be there too. Kathy was smart with a razor-sharp wit. Nothing got by her, she always had a snappy and clever comeback to anything. Her love and caring for nature, animals and her people was such a heartwarming trait of hers. Her soul is free now to roam and see and do anything that her ailing body wouldn't let her do before.
Kathy never wanted a funeral or memorial service. She thought of death as a transition to whatever came next. She never wanted anyone to mourn her death, but instead, to celebrate her life. The family is requesting that donations be made in her honor to the Wounded Warriors Project. Because of her love of animals, she also loved the Denver Zoo and would visit it almost daily when she lived in Colorado.
