Born on September 11, 1954, in Zanesville, Ohio, Brenda was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her. She shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, John Denbow, and together they built a family and a legacy of warmth and compassion.Brenda's life was one of devotion and caring, not just to her family but to her community as well. She was a graduate of the 1972 class of Zanesville High School and went on to make significant contributions through her work with the Michigan State Medical Society and Grand Ledge Printing. Her professional life was marked by the same dedication and kindness that she brought to every aspect of her life.At home, Brenda was the heart and soul of her family. She was a beloved mother to her children, Keith Denbow, Keli (Ben) Hammond, and Michael Grau. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of each of her grandchildren, Ariel Denbow (Dylan Schafer), Alex Hammond, Andy Hammond, and Atlas Grau, whom she cherished with every ounce of her being. Brenda's siblings, Darryl Wymer, Steve Wymer, and Sharon Wentworth, will carry fond memories of their sister, as will her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was born on December 27, 1935 in Hubbardston, MI to Joseph and Eva (Welch) Burns. John married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Bennett on October 22, 1955 in Portland, MI. He graduated from Hubbardston’s St. John the Baptist High School in 1953 and received an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Management from Lansing Community College. John went on to work for Oldsmobile/General Motors Corporation in Lansing as a First Line Supervisor in the Quality Control Department. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Gerard Catholic Church.John was a car enthusiast and enjoyed golfing. He was a member of the Grand Ledge Country Club for many years. John, Shirley, and their family loved camping and traveling all over Michigan and Florida. Following retirement, John and Shirley spent their winters in Lehigh Acres, Florida.John is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley, daughter, Linda; and son, Charles, three brothers, Ray, Patrick, and Terry; one sister, Joanne Howard. She took immense joy in being a part of their lives. She leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of lives she touched: her daughters, Linda Potts and Jean (Don) Joseph; her grandchildren, Debra (Doug) Bowen, Lisa (Fred) Bannister, Lori (Mark) Burgess, Scott (Stacy) Joseph, Jodi (Kevin) Anthony, Mark (Katey) Joseph, Lydia Hines, and Peggy Hines; along with 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild who will all carry the essence of her spirit into the future. June was preceded in death by her parents Norman Taggart and Larue (Taggart) Boyer, her beloved husband Clinton, her son Ken (Julie) Hines, and her son-in-law Frank Potts. Each of these departures marked a chapter in her life, but her resilience and love never wavered. She resided at the Dimondale Nursing and Rehab Center for the last six years. The family wants to thank the staff for their loving care. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 4, 1943, to the late Ivan Spicer and the late Frances Damon Spicer. Margaret was a homemaker who loved her family deeply. Her son, Kevin, was the light of her life and she lived to take care of him. She loved to keep in touch with family near and far. In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Spicer and one sister, Harriet Smith. She is survived by her son, Kevin Maxwell of Lansing; one brother, David Spicer of Grand Ledge; and many special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services officiated by Pastor Richard Hand will be held at Mills Funeral Home, Peters and Murray Chapel, 301 East Jefferson Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with a visitation one hour prior. Gordon also served his community through his career as the owner and operator of his own Auctioneer business.Gordon's involvement in his community was heartfelt and deeply important to him. He was a life member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America Chapter #13, the 1st Marine Division Association, the Marine Corp League of Lansing, D.A.V. Capital City Chapter #8, Charlotte American Legion Post #42, Charlotte VFW Post #2406, Eagles of Charlotte, and the Silver Star Member of the Michigan Sheriff's Association. He also supported the VFW National Home of Eaton Rapids, the Michigan Auctioneers Association, and the National Auctioneers Association #3551.Gordon is survived by his children, Cindy Davis-Brown, son-in-law, Bob Brown, Teresa Brace and son-in-law Ken, and Richard Davis.
