Obituary Preview: Judith Alene Underwood was born September 15, 1939 to Muriel Crosslin Phillips and Julian Morrison McFarland. She passed from this earthly life at 84 years old on January 24, 2024 after complications of a stroke.
Judy worked many jobs during her life, and was a top salesperson for Avon for many years.
Though Judy married and divorced 3 times, she finally met and married the love of her life, Dale Underwood, in 1974. They spent 35 years together, raising their blended family, before Dale passed in 2009. Judy then continued to raise her grandson, Royce, and later babysitting his children until the time of her stroke. Preceding Judy in death were her parents, husband, and son Michael David Hadorn.
Survivors include Steve Hadorn & wife Cynthia, Guy Hadorn Jr & wife Nan, Kevin Holliday & wife Susan, Paul Underwood & wife Sandy, Jon Underwood & wife Erin, Nicole Underwood, special grandson Royce Holliday & wife Emily, multiple other grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
Judy will be buried beside Dale in a private, immediate family only, service per her request, at Andrews West Cemetery on January 27, 2024.

Viewing will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 1:00PM-7:00PM and a Rosay will be held from 7:00PM-9:00PM. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home.
Jose was born March 12, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jesus P. Marquez and Manuela “Acosta” Marquez. Jose was a hardworking family man. He worked in the oil field for many years and was a mentor to many. He had a kind heart, he would give anyone the shirt off his back, and his home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay or a meal. Jose was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan, he loved to BBQ, drink a beer and watch the game with his brothers. He was also an animal lover, he would take a stray off the street and bring it home and love it like he had had it its entire life. Jose was strong willed and stubborn; he was a fighter till the very end. He was a loved father, grandfather, brother, and friend he will be dearly missed by many.

Billy was born September 5, 1947, in Midland, TX. to Roy Len Wood and Helen Lee “Lansford” Wood. Billy was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1967-1972 and honorably fought in the Vietnam War, where he received a National Defense Service Medal, and a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Billy loved to go hunting and fishing, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son: Tuffy Wood and wife Candi of San Angelo, Texas; daughter: Stephanie Wood of Andrews, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Mackynzie Evans and husband Tyler; Mackynna Riojas and husband Tomas; and Sterlyn Wood and fiancé Jordyn Hayes; and great granddaughter: Aspyn Riojas.

An amazing son and Brother and best friend. Caleb had an amazing heart for his two little sisters Abby and Nova Deaver. Caleb spent his time working in the Oil field working as an electrician helper, line crew ground hand and was a tower climber for NH communications. In his off time, he loved hunting, fishing and hanging out with his friends. Caleb had Deep Roots in Andrews with his family.

Nelda worked as a LVN most of her life at Permian General Hospital and also worked with Home Health. She loved cooking for people and had a dream of opening a restaurant. After lots of hard work, she and Lonnie opened Big Momma’s Café. She was loved and respected by those who knew her.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Family and friends knew him as a hardworking man who always made sure his family was taken care of. Facundo was a loving husband to Martha and father to George and Maggie. His time with his family and grandchildren were very special to him. He will be dearly missed.

William was born on October 16, 1930 in Denison, Texas to William and Lina Painter McMahan, Sr. He married Helen Burleson on December 27, 1974 in Denison, Texas. They came to Andrews in 1974. William was an elder at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Serving in the Army, Navy and the Army reserves for his country was an honor for him. He was a collector of antiquities and loved to take his grandkids to school every morning. William never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 2006.

Lindsey was born on November 27, 1992 to Jim and Adrienne McGarvey Horton in Lamesa, Texas. She grew up in Fort Stockton. She attended the Midland College Nursing Program and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She was currently attending UT Arlington and would have graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2020. Lindsey was a nurse at Permian Regional Medical Center and was known for her compassion for patients and their families and was considered to be among the best in the nursing field. She loved singing and playing guitar. She had a beautiful singing voice and a love for music. Lindsey spent her leisure time traveling, shopping, exercising on her Peloton bike and loving on her cat, Phoebe (named after the character on Friends). She was funny, outgoing and brought joy to everyone she touched. Her friends and family will always remember her infectious smile, blue eyes, and caring personality. Her presence will be sorely missed.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family dearly and was always thinking more about helping and aiding others more than herself. She was the model of a good Christian woman. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Manassas, Virginia. Evelyn loved to sew in her early years, was a lifetime fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed country music. Her favorite hymn was "In The Garden". Pink and purple were her favorite colors, and her favorite flower was the daisy. She loved movies such as Magnificent Obsession, Gone With The Wind, From the Terrace, and McClintock! She had the privilege of living in many different locations, including Hawaii, during her lifetime. Evelyn was loved by everyone and will be missed.

Arnold Eugene Cummins, Sr. was born on September 10, 1933 in Monahans, Texas to James Wayne and Velma Brown Cummins. He graduated from Iraan High School in 1952 and from The University of North Texas with a B.B.A. in 1955.Gene served his country in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge from November 1955 until his honorable discharge in November 1957. He married Thelma Secor on August 6, 1960 in Delmar, New York. Gene and Thelma moved to Andrews in 1968 to raise their family. He went to work with Ira Lee Brannan and after obtaining his C.P.A., they formed Brannan, Cummins and Company. Spending time at Lake City in the summertime, camping and traveling were some of the things he and Thelma enjoyed doing together. Thelma was the light of his life and he missed her greatly after her passing in 2010. Gene was a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church, Texas Society of CPA’s, Andrews Rotary Club, Andrews Chamber of Commerce where he served as Treasurer and was named Man of the Year and was a Director for Roberts News Publishing. Golfing, antiquing and woodworking were some of the things he liked to do in his free time. He was known by his family and friends as a kind and gentle man and a great storyteller. His family meant the world to him and he honored them by leaving a great legacy. He will be dearly missed. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James William Cummins.
He is survived by his children, Arnold Eugene Cummins, Jr. and wife Serena of Midland, Texas, James “Jim” Dale Cummins and wife Michelle of Gordon, Texas and Susan “Susie” Renee Friemel and husband Randy of Allen,Texas, sister, Patsy Ruth Cummins of Midland, Texas and 5 grandchildren.

Eusebio was born on August 24, 1927 in Barstow, TX to Angel and Casimira (Fierro) Ramos. Eusebio married Irene Lujan on October 31, 1954 in Ojinaga, Mexico. They raised a family and shared 48 happy years together before her passing on May 14, 2002. Eusebio was lucky in love a second time and married Evangelina Barbosa on October 19, 2009. His family describes him as a happy person who loved spending time with his family. He took pride in his home and loved doing yard work. He also worked hard keeping his vehicles neat and clean. He loved to eat ice cream and enjoyed relaxing in his recliner while watching old movies and eating popcorn. He will be greatly missed by his family! Eusebio was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Casimira Ramos; his first wife, Irene Lujan Ramos; a daughter, Maria De Jesus Marquez; and siblings, Eloisa Ramos, Dominga Ramos, Agustina Ramos, Adela Ramos, Angel Ramos and Juan Ramos.

Figueroa on September 15, 1988 and were married for 31 years. Andrea enjoyed cooking for her family making sure they never went hungry. She also loved working in her garden taking care of her flowers and rose bushes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Andrea is survived by her children, Raul Valenzuela (JoAnn), Diana Gonzalez (Luis), Joe Figueroa, Hector Figueroa, Sandra Gonzales, Norima Lopez (Alex), Luis Rene Figueroa (Ida) of Andrews, Elizabeth Lozano (Roy) and Guadalupe Figueroa of Balmorhea, daughter-in-law Lupe Figueroa of Andrews. She had 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Auden Granados (Rosa) of Odessa, Tx and Cruz Granados (Niky) from Ojinaga, Chihuahua.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Manuela Granados, sisters, Alicia Granados and Bahola Valenzuela, son, Sergio Figueroa and son-in-law Marcos Gonzales.

Higinio was born on January 11, 1942 in El Saucito, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Figueroa and Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez Figueroa. He married Andrea Granados on September 15, 1988 and were married for 31 years. Higinio enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his yard and especially loving on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic and lived his faith every day. He was such a sweet beautiful soul, always had a smile for everyone he came across and he will be greatly missed! He worked for Kirby West for 33 years and Andrews ISD for 10 years.
Higinio is survived by his children, Raul Valenzuela (JoAnn), Diana Gonzalez (Luis), Joe Figueroa, Hector Figueroa, Sandra Gonzales, Norima Lopez (Alex), Luis Rene Figueroa (Ida), Elizabeth Lozano (Roy), Guadalupe Figueroa of Balmorhea and daughter-in-law Lupe Figueroa of Andrews. He had 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Del Carmen Figueroa, sons, Sergio Figueroa and Luis Alberto Figueroa, brother, Fidencio Figueroa, paternal grandparent, Juanita Gomez, maternal grandparents, Alberto and Marcelina Rodriguez.

Johnny Lynn Brice was born on August 2, 1946 in Southmayd, Texas to John Otis and Evelyn Jackson Brice. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. He was loved by his family, which includes his wife of 33 years Jeannie, their children Tami Chesshire and husband Ricky, Ray Holman and wife Connie, Shane Holman and wife Hope and daughter Gabi Brice, along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Lubbers and husband Bill, Brother-in-law Johnny Landrum, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tommy Brice, brother Cecil Brice Sr., and sister Dottie Brice. Johnny retired from Yellow Freight Lines in 1996 and was currently employed with Benny Boyd of Andrews. He was a former U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a dedicated member of the Andrews Mesquite Burners along with the Andrews Masonic Lodge. Johnny never met a stranger or ever considered any one person of greater value than another, and he was “Gramps” to everyone that knew him. He loved street ministry and helping those in need. He was an avid student of God’s Word and End-Time Prophecy. His greatest passion was for others to come to know Christ. His favorite verse was Romans 10:13: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
The family would like to thank Dr. Nayak for his many years of care. The family extends their deepest appreciation to Mallorie Kitchens, Selinda Hobbs, and Kyle Yarbrough along with the rest of the staff at Home Hospice for their incredible care and compassion.

She taught Sunday School, Bible Studies and the Adult Sanctuary Class for many years. Cleo loved watching sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Her favorite players were Josh Hamilton and Roger Staubach. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, H. F. “Buck” Parker, son Billy Jarrell Parker and a grandson and granddaughter.
Cleo is survived by her daughter, Barbara and husband Larry of Fort Worth, Texas, son, Mike Parker and wife Tonia of Andrews, Texas, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Cruz worked for the Texas Highway Department for 23 years and the Texas Railroad Commission in Sanderson for 13 years.
