A native of Rutherford County, she was born on August 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Thurman Whitaker and Mattie Greene Whitaker. She retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant after 20 years of service. She was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church where she worked in the beginners Sunday school class for over 35 years, sang in the church choir and took care of the flowers in the church. She always took cakes and pies when there was a death in the community, loved to quilt and do all types of needle crafts and loved to paint.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, Charlie, Roy, George, J.R., Paul, Morris, Clarence, Dan and Johnny. She is survived by her sisters, Mable W. Randolph of Henrietta, Sarah W. Hawkins of Ellenboro and Alice Mathis Meeks of Acworth, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 09, 2015 at Henrietta First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Cash and Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Saturday, August 08, 2015 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.

A native of Jackson County, North Carolina, she was born on October 03, 1932, a daughter of the late Earl Deitz and Edna Hall Deitz. She retired in 1985 as a Preschool Teacher at Fairfax Baptist Church Preschool. She was a member of State Line Baptist Church where she was in the Happy Hearts Sunday School Class, the Christmon Club, and the Keenagers. Mrs. Parris was a military wife who faithfully traveled the country with her husband during his time of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Owen Parris, her daughter, Teresa Jean Parris Morehead, her brother, Harold Deitz and her sister, Frances Parker. She is survived by her son, Doug Parris and wife Susan of Dublin, Ohio; one son-in-law, Dan Morehead; special niece, Debbie Reynolds; her grandchildren, Matthew Parris, Katherine Parris, Megan Parris and Brian Morehead; her caregivers, Stacey Cody and Alla Jasivkovich.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 08, 2015 at State Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Kris Showen and Rev. Ray Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:30pm in the sanctuary.

She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church and was formerly the pianist at her home church, Macedonia Baptist Church of Kings Mountain, North Carolina and worked in Vacation Bible School.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Harris; one brother, Ken Jenkins; two sisters, Jane Jenkins and Maxine Trimmier. She is survived by her husband Charles Harris; three sons, Chip Harris and wife Leigh of Monroe, NC, Todd Harris of Atlanta, Georgia and Jimmy Harris and wife Debra of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Charlie Harris, Natalie Harris, Jordan Webb and Courtney Webb.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, August 06, 2015 at Cliffside Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on March 24, 1932, a son of the late George W. Hill and Bessie Tate Hill. He was retired from Cone Mills Corporation – Cliffside Plant and Burlington Industries. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his vegetable and flower gardens and working in his shop.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Hill, Bub Hill and Frank Hill. He is survived by his wife, Lola Cantrell Hill; one daughter, Sherry Hill and Scott Boone of Green Hill; his grandchildren, Brannon White and wife Charity, Brett White, Branden Boone and Baylee Boone.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice of Rutherford County for all they did for Charles and his family.

A native of Cherokee County, he was the founder and owner of Vickers Auto Parts for over 50 years, attended Chesnee Wesleyan Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing working at the family business and spending time with his family and grand and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by the love of his life for 54 years, Ada Horne Vickers and eight brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are daughters, Lori Vickers, Lisa Vickers Sperling Churchill and husband Tim, Lane Vickers Cash and husband Timmy all of Chesnee; sons, Ronnie Vickers, Dennis Vickers and wife Vickie all of Chesnee; brothers, Samuel and Sherman Vickers both of Stanley, NC; sister, Shirley West of Stanley, NC; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Julie Vinesett, Jake Sperling, Jesse Sperling, Jada Churchill, Trevor Cash, Tori Cash, Talon Cash, Addie Vinesett and Layla Vinesett.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at New Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Duke Short, Michael Cole, Steve Horton, Horace Watkins, Jeff Vinesett and Timmy Cash.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Holt Harris, and his brothers and sisters, Hazel Barnes, Homer Harris, Mozelle Hardin, Author Harris, Viola Jones and Ethel Hamrick. He is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Cleveland Memorial Park.

In addition to her husband, Bill, of 69 years, she is survived by her children, Frances Adams (Harold) and Richard Redfoot (Christa); her grandchildren, Nicole Barrett (Timothy), Luke Adams (Jessica), Richard Redfoot, and Robert Redfoot (Tamera); her great grandchildren, Jack, Anna, Cooper, Libbie, Max, Rosie, Jack, Jesse and Kinley. Mrs. Redfoot was a woman of God and loved her family.
