Ruth was born December 3, 1946 in Morrison, the daughter of Lyle and Thelma (Seger) Cole. She married Richard Harrison on July 28, 1999 in Clinton, IA. Ruth was a beautician at River City Hair and Nails for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being on the river, dancing, and drinking her coffee.
She is survived by her three children, Kristine McMahan of Fulton, Kevin Kennedy of Savanna, and Kyle (Tamara) Kennedy of Centerville, IA; adopted by heart is Linda Hepner-Kennedy of Fulton; and four grandchildren, Kadesha McMahan, Kylie Kennedy, Monica (Lee) Corey, and Faith Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Lyle “Butch” Cole, Jr.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There are no services.

Parkinson’s and was the facilitator of the Parkinson’s support group in NW Indiana. Patricia was born in South Amana, Iowa on January 9, 1947, the daughter of Herbert F. and Adaline
(Duda) Zuber. She was a graduate of Amana High School in Amana, Iowa. Patricia was the Executive Director for the Center for Possibilities in New Chicago, Indiana for 30 years, caring for children and adults with developmental disabilities. After her retirement from the center, she
served on the Board of Directors. Patrica had a servant’s heart, and loved the Lord and lived her life serving him. She had been an active
member of Augsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church in Porter, Indiana prior to her move to Illinois. Patricia’s compassion, love and friendship will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and
friends. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her. Survivors include her daughter Brenda (Craig) Vanderploeg, Fulton, Illinois; Son, Chad Starbuck, Fulton, IL; her grandchildren: Jessica, Nicole and Joshua Vanderploeg; Brother; Thomas (Janet) Zuber of Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, and 3 Nieces. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering will take place at McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, IL on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM . Followed by services at
10:30 AM. Interment will conclude at Fulton Township Cemetery.

She is survived by her Husband Randy of 51 years, two daughters Charity (Jamie) Moog and Jessica (David) Teal and one granddaughter Tiffany all of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Connie.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services scheduled. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton.

Obituary Preview: Irma Ruth Hoogheem, 95, of Fulton, died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna, IL.
Irma was born on February 20, 1929, in Albany, the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude (Vogel) Brondyke. She attended Albany schools and graduated from Fulton High School. Irma married Dwight Hoogheem on June 28, 1949, in Albany, IL. They made their home in Fulton, where Irma was a homemaker. In addition to caring for her family, she served with her husband for 26 years as the custodian at the Second Reformed Church in Fulton (presently Crossview Church). The endeavor was a family affair to ensure the facility was in “Dutch Clean” shape for Sunday services. In addition to serving as custodian at her church, she served with the Willing Workers and the Harbor Crest Auxiliary.
Irma is remembered as a kind and gracious lady. She had a quiet gentle faith that was exemplified by the way she raised her children and treated other people. She enjoyed visiting with family, friends, and neighbors; she loved having people over for coffee, backyard picnics, and Sunday night visits. She also enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, embroidering, crystal and Delft collecting, jigsaw puzzles, and word searches. She and Dwight enjoyed traveling; they first pulled a camper exploring the US with family; later, with friends, they traveled to more exotic places, including walking the Great Wall of China and riding elephants in India. In later years, she volunteered at the Windmill Cultural Center’s Gift Shop.
Survivors include her two daughters, Pam Innis of Springfield, IL and Penny (Sam) Lubben of Chattanooga, TN; her two sons, Darrell (Rita) Hoogheem of Oskaloosa, IA, and Dan (Linda) Hoogheem of Mohawk, NY; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Vandermyde of Morrison and Marcia (Gerald) Meinsma of Morrison; and sisters-in-law, Elma (LaVerne) Sterenberg of Fulton, Carol Hoogheem of Ogden, KS, and Sally Hoogheem of Manchester, NJ.
In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband of almost 69 years on May 2, 2018; a sister, Lois Norman, and a sister in infancy, Darlene; a brother, Robert Brondyke; and her beloved granddaughter, Colleen Hoogheem.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fulton Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Crossview Church after the burial.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Crossview Church in Fulton, De Immigrant Windmill and Windmill Cultural Center, or the Alzheimer’s Association.

He preceded her in death on March 24, 1999. Prior to marriage, Bonnie worked as an LPN at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, CO, and later as a sorter at Pride Seed Corn in Dewitt, IA. She loved being in her yard, and was an extremely hard worker. Survivors include one daughter, Paula Devore, of Adel, IA; daughter-in-law, Barbara Orfield, of Dubuque, IA; one niece, Joanne Knutsen, of DeWitt,IA; four grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special friends, Hub Hughes, of DeWitt, IA, and Ron Scharer, of Fulton, IL; and her beloved dog “Abby.”
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Paul Orfield; and one brother, Carl Parker.

He was born on August 27, 1940 in Clinton, the son of Harold Adair and Arlene Lois (Atherton) Tomman. He married Arla VanZuiden on August 29, 1960 in Fulton. Skip had worked as a truck driver for Drives Inc. in Fulton for over 28 years. After retiring he would still drive on occasion for Drives Inc. and also drove for Jeff Spencer Excavating. In his time off from work, he had restored two Allis Chalmers tractors and a ’53 Chevy Belair. He and his wife had enjoyed wintering in Texas where he did maintenance work and helped to upkeep the RV Park.
Survivors include his wife, Arla; three sons: Darrell (Betty) Tomman of Thomson, Brian Tomman and Michael (Deb) Tomman both of Clinton; his sisters: Beverly Shepard of Camanche, IA, Judy Wesphal of Columbus, IN and Connie Sue (Lee) Winch of Maquoketa, IA; his brother, Robert Tomman of Polo; eight grandchildren: Nicole Kershner, Joe Tomman, Justin Tomman, Kayle Fransen, Serina Rippy, Austin Fain, Sydnee Rippy and Julin Peterson; 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harold “Bud” Tomman Jr.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday January 6, 2024 from 9-11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton.

Obituary Preview: After a life well lived, Gary L. Green, age 76, of Fulton, died Sunday, December 31, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family and under the exceptional care of Mercy One Hospice.
Gary was born February 28, 1947 in Fulton, the son of Charles and Anna (James) Green. He married Cheryl Buikema on August 12, 1972 at Rockwood State Park in Morrison. After graduating from Hobart Welding School in Ohio, he joined Millwright Local 2158 where he was a member for 50+ years.
Gary was part Cherokee and proud of his Indian heritage. If you ever visited Heritage Canyon, you may have seen "The Mountain Man" outside of the log cabin where he and his family portrayed an 1860s pioneer family. He was a skilled knife maker and enjoyed annual trips to Prairie Du Chien buck skinners rendezvous with his close friend, Bob Zuidema.
Gary loved being Cub Master for Fulton Cub Scouts Pack 342 where he created a program called Mom and Me.
His church family at Kingdom Life Community Church in Morrison was very important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Green of Fulton; six children, Kelly Strossner of Elgin, Casey (Christina) Green of Camanche, IA, Chris (Kathy) Green of Fulton, Kari (Chris) Gassman of Crystal Lake, Kristopher (Monica) Lowery of Rochelle, and Kevin (Jen) Green of Morrison; two brothers, Jim Green of Fulton and Dean Green of Morrison; ten grandchildren, Marilee Strossner, Natalie Strossner, Noah Thompson, Jaeden (Cayden) Deardorff, Preslee Green, Kirsten Green, Kiara Green, Lauren Gassman, Rachel Gassman, and Bennett Gassman; ten great grandchildren; and his Golden Lab, Ally.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Steven Harmon officiating.

He was born on April 9, 1949 in Straight Creek, KY, the son of Andy and Magdalene (Haley) Widener. He married Annette Rosenow on June 17, 1972 in Morrison. Andy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and both the Iowa and Illinois Army National Guard. Andy was a truck driver for E.H. Stralow Trucking of Morrison and later managed the Equal service station in Morrison for Gibson Oil. Andy retired as a Police Officer for the City of Morrison after serving his community for 28 years. Andy was also an avid golfer, fisherman, and woodworker. He enjoyed going to estate sales and auctions. Andy spent most of his retired years as a snowbird in Florida with his loving wife by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Widener of Fulton; two daughters, Jennifer (Andrew) Trello of Springfield, IL, Samantha Widener-Ende of Morrison; one sister, Judy Dietz of Decatur, IL; one brother, Mark (Sherry) Widener of Fulton; one aunt, Sue Nunn of KY; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Dietz Sr.; one nephew, Robert Dietz Jr.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2PM at Lyndon Cemetery of Lyndon, Illinois.

Ron loved football and home renovation projects. He was always telling jokes and enjoying coffee with the guys. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with family. Ron retired from Local 150 as a crane operator after 50 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Troy Sieberg (Carrie), Erie, IL; daughter, Tami Sieberg Williams (Chris), Sun City, AZ; grandson, Nicholas Sieberg, Lakeville, MN; granddaughter, Megan Sieberg, Elgin, IL; great-grandchildren, Landen & Madelyn Sieberg, and Greyson Smolinski; sisters, Jean Zahler, New Richmond, WI; Audrey Cain, Grand Marquis MN; brother, Lowell Sieberg, North Mankato, MN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Sieberg; his son, Tracy Sieberg; father, Joseph Sieberg; mother, Frances Van Buren; siblings, Robert Sieberg, Willard Sieberg, Frankie Sieberg, Rosanne Reinhart (Ron’s Twin), and Mary Braam.

Burial will follow at Lusk Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been created in honor of Ronald Sieberg to Albany Knights of Columbus organization.

She was born on March 26, 1975 in Sterling, the daughter of Albert and Colleen (Becker) Dudley. She married Alex Kadow in Georgia, they later divorced. Linda was a free spirit and enjoyed going to social gatherings. She especially loved being a mother and took to it naturally whether it was with her child Dane or doing everything she could to help her autistic child, Aden and any challenges he faced. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her three children, Payton Bailey of Savanna, Dane (Alycia Neas) Sander of Savanna, and Aden Kadow of NJ; two sisters, Stacey Engelkens-Gilmore of HI and Jessica Engelkens of IL; one grandchild, Onyx Sander; one niece, Abra Gilmore of WA; one nephew, Drake Gilmore of WA; her special friend, Dan Clay of Savanna.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandmother.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Point Ground Park of Mount Carroll from 12PM to 3PM.

He was born on November 19, 1945 in Morrison, IL, the son of Robert Glass and Doris Finnicum. He married Lynne Finnicum on March 12, 1971 in Sterling. Ronald retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was active in his community and enjoyed his time volunteering at the Morrison Food Pantry. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morrison. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working in the yard, and loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne Finnicum of Morrison; two daughters, Dana M. and Amy Escalante of Clinton; three grandchildren; one special grandson, Frederick Snapp of Clinton; four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Brett Finnicum in infancy and John Finnicum; two sisters; one brother.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Gordon C. Voeltz - June 28, 1933 - October 11, 2023

Obituary Preview: Gordon Charles Voeltz, 90, passed on October 11, 2023 at Addington Place, Clinton, IA. Gordon was born near Lebanon, SD on June 28, 1933 the son of Ivan and Mata (Kindt) Voeltz. Gordon graduated in 1951 from Verndale High School in Minnesota.
He followed his sweetheart Lois Mae Suhl to Iowa where they were wed in the Spring of 1960. Gordon held many jobs over the years including working the Interstate 80 project. He raised his family in Durant, Iowa while working as a GM mechanic for Wilson Chevrolet. He coached little league baseball for his sons, was a member of the Lions Club and the Durant Park Board where he enjoyed calling numbers for the weekly bingo games. He was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran church and served on the Church Council. He is a current member of Island United Methodist Church in Muscatine. He had a great passion for gardening to grow his own vegetables and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his family in Minnesota.
Later in life he found love again with Irma Jean (Johnson) Jacobs and they were married in Sisseton, SD.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irma Jean, parents Ivan and Mata, brothers Russell and Ivan Jr. Brother-in-law Dennis Johnson, Sisters-in-law, Grace and Janice, granddaughter Tabetha Voeltz, great-granddaughter Theresa Blum and son-in-law Vern Dally.
His is survived by his daughter Gwen Dally, Jamestown, ND, sons Randall (Marina), Monroe, NC, and Andrew (Tiara), Fenton, IL, brother Manny (Ruth) Voeltz, sister Wilma Johnson, grandchildren, Joseph, Kimberly, Ben, Matt, Becky, Adam, Ashley, Tresten, Lonna, Joslyn, Hope and many great-grandchildren. Four children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that the marriage to Irma Jean enriched his life with.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Island United Methodist Church, 2598 Stewart Road, Muscatine, IA. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Jonathan Cox officiating.

Lyle was born December 31, 1946 in Peoria, the son of Adolph and Margaret (Dunbar) Stoecker. He married Patricia Zuidema on June 12, 1981 in Morrison. Lyle was employed at Stoecker Trucking and Quality Ready Mix. He was also an avid farmer and a lifetime member of Operating Engineers Local 150.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stoecker of Morrison; two sons, Shane (Becky Chadwick) Stoecker of Fulton and Brad (Vicky) Stoecker of Morrison; one daughter, Lyn Ann Stoecker of Rock Falls; four siblings, Paul (Beverly Green) Stoecker of Fulton, Lynn (Deon) Stoecker of Morrison, Mark (Ruth) Stoecker of Fulton, and Kay (John) Thyne of Morrison; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sydney Stoecker and Joel Stoecker.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on October 7, 2-5 at King Pins in Fulton, IL in Lyle’s memory.

Fred was born May 31, 1942 in Palmer, TN, the son of Henry and Nell (Green) Boggs. He married Marie Sullivan on May 5, 1962 in Rapid City. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2021. Fred was employed at Collis in Clinton for 15 years retiring in 2004. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle and tinkering with cars.
He is survived by two daughters, Regina (Mike) Meier and Becky (Cliff) Wilkerson both of Clinton, IA; one son, Brian Schnell of Geneseo; six grandchildren, Erica (Raul) Martinez, Kate Sink, Colin (Courtney) Meier, Cody Wilkerson, Billy Boggs-Chavez, and Brenden Boggs-Chavez; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one daughter, Billie Chavez; two brothers; and two sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from Noon-2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Fulton.
A memorial has been established.

Survivors include one son, Max (Lisa) Onderbeke; five grandchildren, Joe (Danyelle) Henning, Jr., Bob (Shannon) Henning, Christina (Harley) Onderbeke, Jamie Onderbeke, and Cassie (Ben) Jeanty; seven great grandchildren, Robert Henning II, Nicole (Andrew) Genenbacher, Natalie Henning, Ashlyn Henning, Wilson Henning, Jayden Jeanty, and Zander Jeanty; two great-great grandchildren, Ruth Genenbacher, and Eleanor Genenbacher; and many special friends and neighbors who she cherished.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Bessie Lawrence; husband, Robert Onderbeke; one daughter and son-in-law, Janice (Joe) Henning, Sr., and one sister and brother-in-law, Nellie (Durword) Myers.

Iowa, where she had resided for the past three years. She was born on July 22, 1936, in the midst of one of the worst heat waves the Midwest has ever seen. Her mother spent the last few months of her pregnancy in the basement of their home on 13th Avenue, Fulton, to find relief. Her twin sister did not survive, but
Mardelle was born with many God-given talents. Mardelle used these talents wisely, excelling in school and all the activities she undertook. She graduated Valedictorian of her Fulton High School Class of 1954, a year after the death of her father, whom she dearly loved. At the encouraging of her counselor, she applied for and received, a full non-resident scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she excelled in French and English Literature, graduating
in 1958. She taught these two subjects for two years at both Rochelle High School (Illinois), and Grand Rapids Christian High School (Michigan), before retiring to become a full-time stay-at-home mother to three children: Elizabeth, Theodore, and Jonathan. After the children were all in school, she focused her energy on religious study, culminating in a second Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from Aquinas College—an institution sponsored by the Dominican Nuns. This led her to the Catholic Church, where she was able to serve as keyboardist and organist for 22 years—first for 10 years at the Church of St. Mary in Elizabeth, Illinois—and then for 12 years at Immaculate Conception Church
in Fulton. Mardelle is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Charles; her three children, Elizabeth and husband Brent Haines of Oak Park, Illinois; Theodore of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Jonathan of Anchorage, Alaska; and two grandchildren—Wesli and
Murphy Dykstra also of Anchorage—and their mother, Julia Dykstra of Cleveland, Ohio. Mardelle was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Pearl Wilkins, her still born
sister, brother Leonard, and sister Lois. A celebration of Mardelle’s life will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023, at the Gathering Place, 408 10 th Avenue, Fulton. A 6:00-7:00 o’clock supper will be followed by a sharing of
Mardelle’s life by those present. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Father Matthew Camaioni, Celebrant, and
Father David Austin, Concelebrant, officiating. Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.
The funeral luncheon will be held at the Gathering Place immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to the FACE Endowment of Fulton Township Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki; two daughters: Stacey Southern and Stephanie Becker both of Morrison; seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Kayli, Kesley, Gracie, Cody, Kortnie and Camren.; and one great grandchild, Ella; his sister Betty Hathaway of Savanna.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother in 1944; his father in 1945; his step father James Wiersema in 1968; his mother Mossie Wiersema in 2007; his brother Willis Carroll; his sister Billie Jean Scaff.

Obituary Preview: FULTON - Willard (Bill) Lewis Gould, age 97, died at home on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Bill was born on March 10, 1926 Rock Falls, Illinois to Francis A. Gould and Leona M. (Thompkins) Gould. He was raised in the Sterling-Rock Falls area attending Central grade school and
graduated from Sterling High School June 6, 1944 (D-Day) and was active in football. He was drafted April 1944 and inducted for service August 28, 1944. Basic training: Camp Joyce Kilmer, New Jersey. Crossed to Europe leaving New York on the Queen Elizabeth January 8, 1945. He arrived at Glasco, Scotland crossing the English channel and onto LaHarve, France . His unit was sent to Colmar, France where he joined the 12th Armored Division, Company 66 known as Hellcats which was one of two divisions most feared during WW II. He was awarded the Silver and Bronze star and had the privilege as honor guard at General George S. Patton’s funeral in Luxemburg, Germany. He achieved the
rank of Staff Sergeant and discharged August 2, 1946. He was on the first honor guard flight of the Quad Cities November 1, 2008.
Bill was employed by Sterling National Manufacturing Co., Clinton Corn Co. and Brinkman Lumber Co retiring in 1988. He met his wife, Alice, on a blind date and married in Sterling April 11, 1948. They were very active members in Trinity United Methodist church. Moving in 1964 to the rural Fulton, Illinois home, they continued active in church. Bill was a member of the Garden Plain Church and the Clinton AmVets. His hobbies and interests were music played by his wife, retirement, wood working, family vacations, western movies and music, Cubs, his back porch and dog, Shar Leigh.
He is survived by daughters: Sherry (Roger) Weuste-Tucker, Sandy Huisenga, Sue (Byron) Mether, Sheila (Leo) Smith, Sally (Ron) Marburger, Shelley Kupfer, and Steve (Tina) Gould. He has 16 grandchildren, 33 Great grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Alice of 74 years, his parents, his brother Don, two son-in-laws: Keith Weuste and Roger Huisenga.
Garden Plain Presbyterian church will host the visitation on Wednesday, March 22 at 11:30 and memorial service 1pm. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home, Fulton.
Memorials can be given to Clinton Am Vets Post 28 or Sterling High School.

He retired in 1987 and moved from Lake Forest, IL, to Fulton.
Survivors include his wife Beverly whom he married in 1961, one brother Ken, Cedar Rapids, IA, and 9 nieces and nephews.

He is survived by three daughters, Sheri Casey-Wilks and her husband Raphael of Phoenix, AZ, Tina Wilson of Morrison, IL; Kim Casey of Clinton, IA; two sons, Thomas Casey IV of Clinton, IA; Robert Casey and his wife Tonya of Camanche, IA; one sister, Marion Bilodeau of Framingham, MA; two brothers, James Casey and his wife Barbara of Natick, MA; Richard Casey and his wife Michelle of Lee, MA; his sister-in-law, Marie Casey of Eastham, MA; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Tom enjoyed traveling to Massachusetts during the summer months to visit his parents and siblings and vacationing on Cape Cod.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and one brother, David Casey.
