Cecile was preceded in death by her husband William Ernest "Ernie" Jones and son Curtis Alan Jones. She is survived by her son Mark (Kim), grandchildren Steven (Kimber), Christopher (Heather) and Lucas (Brandi), and great-grandson Chase. Visitation will be held at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia on April 5, 2024, at 1:00 and service to follow at 2:00. Interment will be held privately at a later date, she will rest with her husband Ernie at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia

Obituary Preview: Harry Daniel Moseley, Jr., 80, went to his heavenly home on Friday March 1.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marjorie, and his wife Donna.  He leaves behind his wife Carolyn; his two daughters, Cameron Lowe (Bill) and Meredith Beck (Mathew); his son James (Michelle); his  grandchildren Jordan and Alex Price; Charlie and Hudson Beck; and Luke, Megan, Mason and Mackenzie Moseley; his sisters Dale Creery (Stony) and Robin Moseley; and his brothers Wayne and Lee (Alice) Moseley.
One of the joys of Dan’s life was working with the Boy Scouts of Troop 400. Another was going to his cottage on the James River.  He was an active member of Christ Church Amelia, serving on the vestry and as Senior Warden.
He graduated from Douglas Freeman High School and Emory and Henry College. He was an award- winning salesman for Pratt Industries.
His wife would like to express appreciation to the staff of The Pearl, a Senior Living  Community, for his care in the last days of his life; and to Michael Stone, priest of Christ Episcopal Church Amelia, for his numerous visitations.

George is survived by his four children, Cindy Hutson, Wayne Hutson (Rhonda), Elizabeth Hutson and Jessica Hutson Blair (P.J. Blair). Seven grandchildren:; Tuesday Gayle,  Dwayne, Tiffany, US. Marine Kyle Hutson (Stephanie), James, Liam  and Grey and five great grandchildren. He had several love relationships throughout his life, Charlotte Vaughn, Barbara Powell and his current love Sandra Lee Gentry.
George retired from J.H.Martin & Sons after over 50 years as a heavy equipment operator, painter and your "Southside Fuel Man". He was the monarch of his family, devoting his life and love to them. He enjoyed woodworking, lawn care, gardening, BBQing, rabbit hunting and running dogs, and most of all spending time with his family.
Visitation with the family will be Friday February 9, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 15409 Court Street, Amelia, Va. His funeral service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024 starting at 1:00 at Hillsman-Hix followed by a Graveside service at 3:00pm at Red Lane Baptist Church, 2095 Red Lane Road, Powhatan, Va.

Mike was born on February 13,1947 in St. Mary's, WV to Rex and Virginia Hadley.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy.  Children, Craig Hadley and Toni Hopkins, Stepchildren, Rick Dyc (Christy) and Nancy Ciucci (Mike).  Sisters, Mary Jo Corbin (Bud), and Linda Faris.  His brothers, Keith Hadley (Debbie), and Terry Hadley (Nancy).  He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Hadley II.  Mike also was beloved by his grandchildren, AJ, Trey, Evan, Jordan, Aaliyah, Emily, Jason, Ryan, Andrew, Jenna, Abby, and Great Grandchildren, Aziel, Zamari, Brooklyn, Skylar, Haven, and Remi. Mike was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.  Mike will lie in state at the funeral home from 10AM until 2PM on Thursday prior to the funeral for those who have not had the opportunity to pay their respects.
