Sean Alexander Blayze Sabulsky - September 28, 2006 - May 12, 2024

Departed: 05/12/2024 (London)
Obituary Preview: Sean Sabulsky, 17, of London, Ohio was made new on May 12, 2024, when he ran into the Lord’s arms after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by family and friends who stayed by his side until he went home to Glory.
Sean was well known for his infectious smile and dimples that would melt any heart.  Throughout his fearless battle with cancer, he held strong in his faith in Jesus who was his firm foundation.  He enjoyed being with his family and friends, making people laugh, playing basketball and baseball, golfing and attending any sporting event that he had the opportunity to.
He was selfless and considerate- even when he was in pain he was worried about others before himself. He fearlessly fought and never wavered in his faith even during the toughest part of the battle. His faith, strength, and perseverance inspired so many. He loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his SeanStrong community. He taught us how to live life to the fullest regardless of what it threw at us.  He brought so many to their knees in prayer and helped open up the communication between God and so many. Because he was such a genuine person, people felt comfortable being themselves around him and he had a way of getting everyone to find common ground and agree to work together to have fun.
One of Buddy’s proudest moments was when he became an uncle.  He loved Nolan and Scarlett endlessly and always ensured candy was on hand and he wasn’t afraid to watch and sing Frozen when asked. He also took pride in being the best little brother to Taylor and Jennifer who watched him fight this battle with such grace.
His legacy will live on through those he touched throughout his journey.  He left a mark on so many and the void is palatable.
Sean loved giving back so in lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of the following foundations that blessed our family over the last four years. Friends of Faith and Pruden Foundation Angel Works Casey Cares Make A Wish Patches of Light The Patriot Home Group
The family invites the SeanStrong community to call at the London High School, 336 Elm Street, London, Ohio 43140, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with a funeral service immediately to follow at 6:00pm, being led by Pastor Jody Pickett.

Stephen D. Gibson - November 08, 1950 - February 27, 2024

Departed: 02/27/2024 (London)
Obituary Preview: Stephen D. Gibson, a cherished Father, Husband, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend, and Artist, laid down his tools for the final time on February 27, 2024.
Born on November 8, 1950, in London, Ohio, Stephen was a proud member of London High School's class of 1969. Particularly, of his roles as quarterback and captain of the football team. A graduate of Wittenberg College, he made a living with his hands, using his artistic imagination and skills honed by working with his father, Logan, and Uncle Oscar to remodel, reimagine, and redesign the world around him.
London, Ohio, made an incredible mark on Steve, or Gibby, as some people are apt to call him, and he likely returned the favor. In his early days, Steve embraced worldly adventures, aiming to leave behind the small-town life of London, Ohio. He quickly regaled you with his journeys to California, the Monterey Pop Festival, Alaska, and shark-fishing in the Gulf, among other escapades with friends and family. Though he flirted with the life of an itinerant painter, Stephen ultimately chose a different path, fathering three children: Christie (Shawn) Freet, Jacob (Amy) Gibson, and Grant Gibson.
Preceded by his beloved wife, Laura (Brown) Gibson, he held her in extraordinary love and reverence. He never fully recovered from her passing. Now, he rests peacefully with his parents, Hazel (Jackson) & Don Boggs and Logan & Anna Gibson, and a host of extended family and friends who had passed before him. Specifically, his big brother Stan, who also preceded him in passing. Stephen had a profound admiration for Stan, who will no doubt welcome him with a cold Coors Light, albeit with a playful wish for a tad more quiet time away from his younger brother.
Stephen leaves behind a rich mosaic of life, survived by his children, grandchildren Ryan (Loreta) Freet, Ethan (Antoinette) Freet, Lindsay Freet, and his great-grandchildren. His life was further colored by his loving bond with Colleen Lawhorn and the “Texas Gibson” family: Angie, Jason, and Gilbert. His lifelong friendship with Karen (Hackett) Ernst, numerous friends, and extended family enriched his life. His faithful dog, Harpo, and his friends at FOE #950, the American Legion, and the Buckhorn Tavern will miss him dearly even if they can’t see him off.
If life was Stephen's masterpiece, he painted it with an authentic sense of self. He leaves behind a legacy as unique as his art. He will be remembered always not just for the adventures he lived, the stories he told, and the laughter he shared, but also for the color he brought into our lives.
