Lovorn “POP” McCann was born  Monday, April 15th, 1935 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Wilmor McCann Sr., and Maggie McCann.
.   After moving to Texas he attended and graduated from  McFarland High School in the Class of 1957.
Lovorn married Evelyn Johnson, in 1960. They began a matrimonial journey that was filled with love and lasting memories. They were married over 61 years, and to this union two children were born.
“POP” was a truck driver for over 30 years. A job he loved and enjoyed. Traveling and seeing different cities. He also cherished being a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Lovorn “Pop” McCann will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his wife , Evelyn, his sons; Everett and Marcus, Two grandsons; Daniel and JaMarcus, One grand daughter, Jennifer, Two, great grand daughters, Kerrigan and Kaylee, Two  great-grandsons, Daniel and Brennon, One sister, Katie, Two brothers, Roy and Edward. He will also be greatly missed by his brothers and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A kind hearted person who couldn’t say No, and did everything he could for anyone he knew.  Lovorn was called home, and received by our Father on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

He joined church at an early age. Miland attended Addie E. McFarland High, and in the fall of 1959, he enlisted in the United States Army. Serving one  tour in the Republic of Panama. After serving our country, he  returned home to Mineola, TX, to marry, and start a family. He was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and other relatives. God called Miland home, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Dallas, TX. Although our hearts may not have been ready for him to leave. His earthly job has now been complete. Those left to cherish his memories three daughters: Carlotta Mays(Keith), Donna Henry(Norman) both of Terrell, TX; Rebecca Henry, Mineola, TX; two grandsons: Warren Mays, and Cameron Caraway, of Terrell, TX; one sister: Bettye Mills (Rufus), two nieces: Tonya Mills, and Brenda Mills-Lewis(Vincent), one nephew:

She retired from Tyler Pipe after 35 years of service.
Billie was a faithful member of Friendship Church of God In Christ, In Lindale, TX .A dedicated choir member. She was always ready, when ask to bless others with  her singing. She  was a compassionate person, she often visited the nursing homes, visiting with the sick and shut-in.  She was known for frequently visiting other churches , where she would sing her favorite  songs “ If A Robin Can Say Thank You, “ and  “ I Can’t See The Lord , But I Can Feel Him.” You could always hear the congregation singing alone with her. Billie was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years Derry Stephens, Jr. both her parents Johnnie and Lula Vaughn, brother; Johnny Ray Vaughn, grandson Deon Robertson, great granddaughter; Deja (Kayla ) Lyons, Bonus daughter, Felicia Kay Robertson, and Son in Law, Mack Tuck, who playfully called her  Billie Goat. Billie will  forever be in the hearts of so many, throughout the community and by her daughters, Shelia Stephens of Mineola, Leitha Tuck of Arlington, TX. Elaine Tuck ( Mitchell) , Mineola, TX., Eveline  Gardner, (Eddie Wooten); Mineola, TX. One Brother, James  Anderson ( Florestine) of Tyler, TX. Eleven Grand Children: Twenty-eight Great grand children; Five Great-great Grandchildren. She was the baby of the family  with a heart of gold.  Affectionately  known as “PERKY”. Nora gained her wings, March 30,2021 in Dallas, Texas, with her family rushing to be by her side.   Her service to God began at an early age at Sidney Temple  Church of God In Christ. Later joining Eagle Mount Sanctuary of Love, and  eventually uniting with New Life Fellowship Baptist Church until  the  time of her passing. Nora’s education was garnered in the public school system with graduation in the class of 1977 at Mineola High School in Mineola, Texas.   She met and married Larry Martin , and to this union two children were born. Clifton  Williams and Rodrick Martin. After some time in life alone she met the love of her life, and married Billy  Coleman , and she gained a bonus son  Terry Douglas.    Her parents, three brothers, Leon  Williams,  Stanley Williams, Will Otis Spencer, One sister, Thomasina Williams. Three special  Angels who will welcome her home.   Son,  Desmond  Coleman, nephew, Damone Williams, grandson,  Rodrick Martin Jr., all preceded her in death.   She leaves to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy  of love, her husband, Billy Coleman,  sons Clifton Williams(Sheretta) , Rodrick Martin, and Terry Douglas ( Brandy)  Sisters:  Linda Smith, Gladys Tuck ( Cecil), Stephanie Brown (Jerry), Opal Williams and Sherri James (Dwight).   Perky’s heart was so big that she inherited other children that she raised, who will miss her greatly. Obituary Preview: Lydia Mae Henry-Sampson, age 76, was granted her angel wings on January 22, 2021, at her home, Mineola. TX. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Lydia had touched in some small way,
Lydia was born March 20, 1944 to Beulah Conger Henry and Prof. James M. Henry in Hawkins, Texas.
She attended Hawkins Elementary School in Hawkins, TX, after her parents moved to Mineola, TX. She attended McFarland Elementary School under the leadership of her father Principal Henry, graduating from McFarland High School in 1963.  Her extra circumlunar activities; singing in the school  “Concert" chorus with her melodious, high Pitched soprano, One-In-A-Million Voice.
She joined and was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until ill health.  She served as a deaconess, participated in Junior, Senior and Mass Choir.  She traveled regularly with the choir to various church events.  Also, she was one of the original members of the Charities Singers, of Mineola.
Her employment included working at Buddy Schoellkopf Products, Inc, Mineola and Tyler, TX., Trinidad Benham Corporation and was a professional dietitian at Wood Memorial Nursing Home at Heritage Nursing Home where she retired.
She married Marvin Howard Sampson, November 15, 1975 with 45 years of marriage until his passing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, most recently, Marvin Sampson Husband, Manuel Sampson stepson,  4 brothers:  James M. Henry, Charles E. Henry, Harry L. Henry, Holt Wright Jr.  2 sisters:  Mary Radford and Annie Ruth Wright-Daniels.
She is survived by her three very loving daughters, Carlotta Henry-Mays and (Keith) Terrell, TX., Rebecca Henry, Mineola, TX., and Donna Henry (Norman) Terrell, TX., loving grandsons: Warren K. Mays, Mineola, and Cameron L. Caraway, Terrell, TX, two-step daughters, Cassandra Sampson, Mineola, TX, and Raquel Perry, Dallas. TX, stepson Cedric Sampson, Mineola, TX., one sister:  Christine Harris, Tyler, TX and two brothers Herbert Wright (Marilyn), Tulsa, Oklahoma., and Earnest Gillard, Dallas, TX., two sisters-in-law:  Ida Marie Henry, Mineola, TX., and Judy Kay Henry, Dallas, TX., and host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great nephews and nieces, Janae Holland, special daughter, Mineola, TX including special friends, neighbors, and church members.

She met and married Marcus Randolph McCalla, Jr. on Monday, April 1, 1957 and they shared 54 years of marriage before his death. Marcus and Emma were the parents of two chil- dren, Verlinda McCalla and Marcus Randolph McCalla, III. Emma was a “wise woman who buildeth her home; she was a virtuous woman; for her price was far above rubies. Her kind and gentle spirit touched everyone she came in contact with. Her hospitality was priceless. She treated everyone as if they were her own.” She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marcus Randolph McCalla, Jr.; parents Rufus and Frances McDowell; three sisters Ernestine Douglas, Della Livingston and Wanda Sessions. Her precious memories will be treasured forever by her daughter: Verlinda McCalla, and her son Marcus McCalla, III both of Mineola. Two siblings, Faye McCann and Lola Clemons of Mineola. without fear of the future. When she spoke; her words were wise. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Sidney Temple C.O.G.I.C. for many years. Sister Wright served diligently as Sunday school teacher and church secretary. She loved serving and organizing different programs annually to further the responsibilities of ministry. "A Time to Live" Virginia (Jennie) accepted Christ at an early age at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Mineola, TX under Reverend W.G. Terry. She was a faithful member until her health failed. Jennie was known for her infectious smile, and being very direct to the point. She had a dedicated work history at Benham & Company, being employed for over thirty-two years. Virginia was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was everything. She loved holidays celebration with all the family together, and the grands could do no wrong in her eyes.
"A Time To Rest" Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, with her family by her side. On May 30, 2008, he married Jamie Cox Williams.  After retiring from The United States Army, Damone worked  Security Detail. He was known for his generosity and kind heart.  He was always available to help his family in whatever way he could.

Dora Rochell Griffin Lampkin was born September 3, 1962 in Tyler, TX to Harvey and Elsie Griffin. Rochell was the third born of their five daughters.
Rochell attended Tyler ISD schools. She was a licensed cosmetologist and graduate from Richard & Joseph’s Artistic School of Hair Design. Rochell was a renowned hairstylist in the Tyler community for over 30 years. Many were touched by the hands and enriched by the heart of Rochell at Lil’s Beauty Salon. She eventually retired due to health complications.
Rochell grew up as a member of Houston Temple Church of God in Christ in Tyler, TX. She gave her life to Christ in the late 90’s and she served the church in multiple capacities. Rochell most recently was a member of Eastside Church of God and Christ in Tyler, TX.
Rochell was the loving mother to two children: LaTangdra Griffin and Hennessey Lampkin. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Griffin, her older sisters, Harvetta Griffin Watson and Shawana Griffin Fludd, and her brother-in-law, Minister John Roberson.
Rochell departed this life on May 8th, 2020. Margaret Ann Adams was a gift to Smith County, Texas on March 15, 1943. Born the third child of the late Costroma and Margaree Freeman-Adams, Margaret Ann was the gift that kept on giving. She was daughter, a sister (sometimes referred to as #3), and a learner that kept on learning. She was a devoted, wife mother, servant, friend, nurturer, teacher, councilor, counselor, salesperson, entrepreneur, and lecturer. Most of all, Margaret was an unwavering Believer. She joined Friendship C.M.E. at an early age, serving there until uniting with the Friendship Church of God in Christ.
Margaret was an honor graduate of Bragg Morris High School, later earning several licensing, accreditation and certificates. She was the wife of Willie Dixon for 58 years. Two sons, Darrell and Vincent were born to this union.
Her gifts led her as Administrator/ Teacher of Juanita Parker’s Daycare, Teacher’s assistant at Bragg Morris High School, while operating Margaret’s Sewing Shop, Salesperson at J. B. White’s, Sewing Factory worker. Margaret was employed at Lindale ISD retiring after 19 years, serving in several positions, official and unofficial. Margaret served in many positions at her local and district church. Her ministry served the Lindale community as a faithful weekly visitor of the sick /shut-in and unchurched, speaker for ministries and various occasions. A Spiritual Councilor, friend… Margaret was all of this to her family, as well as “Family  Jokester.” SHE DID IT HER WAY!
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; Costroma and Margaree Adams, Two Brothers, Larry and Chris Adams, and Sister, Carol Adams. When Verreda was an infant she fell from a bed and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury causing her lifelong handicap. However this handicap did not rob her of her joy for life. Although Verreda couldn’t talk, she was able to communicate her desires, needs and wants and was not shy about letting you know them. She was well loved by everyone who knew her including the patients and staff at Mineola Community Care facility and Wood Memorial Care centers here in Mineola. Verreda leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Andrea/Reggie Willis. Sister in law Lola Clemons, sister Wanda Burton, brothers Winston/Cheretta and Gary/June Thompson. She also leaves 3 Grand children and 8 Great Grand children along with a host of nieces, nephew’s cousins, other family members and friends. “Gone but never forgotten”

Marvin was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Mineola, TX. He sang in the Junior and Senior Choir and was ordained as a Deacon by the Reverend C.C. Colquitt. He loved the Lord and was a faithful servant.
