Richard is predeceased by his parents, Jake and Mary Beth Lewis, and his brother, Lawrence Lewis.
Simon is survived by his loving wife Tiffany of 37 years. They were married in Hawaii on June 25, 1975.
Simon is lovingly remembered by his wife Jane of San Francisco; brother Matt (Chelsea) Lewis of San Francisco; sister Mandy (Jon) Harris; sons Will and Jack Lewis; and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Simon was born in San Jose, California in 1940. He graduated from San Jose District 15 High School in 1958 and went on to earn a Degree in Commerce from California University in 1964. He worked as a VP of Operations at the San Francisco Times Newspaper.
Simon enjoyed sports, especially baseball, as well as movies, reading and spending time with his family.
The visitation will be held at Moore and Sons Funeral Home, 5523 North 15th Street, San Francisco, California on March 8, 2012 at 11:00 am. Prayers will be offered from St. Anthony’s United Church, 345 East 15th Street, San Francisco, California on March 8 at 3:30 pm.
The funeral service will be held at Moore and Sons Funeral Home on March 9, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev. Jake Walker officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 4332 Mountain View Lane, San Francisco, WA at 3:30 pm. A wake will take place at Jane Smith’s House on March 9, 2012 at 7:00 pm.

Also surviving are her mother Ruby Myers of Troy, two sons, Pete (Katie) Myers of Troy, and Charlie Butler of Seattle; one granddaughter Jen; one sister Elizabeth (Douglas) Simmons of Seattle; one brother Ralph (Annie) Myers; three nephews, Keith, Joshua and Gregory Myers and several cousins.
Sara’s father and one son, Jerry Jonathan Butler preceded her in death.
Sara was a long time resident of Detroit where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Grand Rapids at the age of 20. She graduated from Grand Rapids Secondary School in 1951 and was a professor at the University of Seattle.
She loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining and playing scrabble with her friends. She also loved teaching and spent a lot of her spare time mentoring students.
