He was born on July 24, 1959 in Pittsburgh, to the late John C. and Darlene Sue (VanPelt) Baughman. John was a Son of the American Legion and served as Sergeant-at-Arms, and enjoyed his friends and socializing at the American Legion in Jeannette and other local social clubs. He was a hard worker who loved hunting and fishing, his Harley, gardening his vegetables and flowers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and was Phantom Firework's best customer. John will be missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his best friend and soul mate, Tia; four siblings, Kathryn (Thomas E.) Hill, Robin Baughman, Christopher Baughman, and Matthew Baughman; sister-in-law, Antoinette Baughman; nephew, Michael Allen; two nieces, Michelle (Nick) Dorazio and Ayla (Andrew) Gnau; and was blessed with children Bryan (Autumn) Lassiter and Frances (Matthew) Bartling, and grandchildren, Anabella, Collin, Samuel, and Paisley Lassiter and Cole, Caleb, Madison, and Blake Bartling. He was also survived by many cousins and friends. Obituary Preview: Ann (Zubaty) Hallock, age 96 of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the Neighborhoods of Walden's View, North Huntingdon. She was born on September 7, 1925 in Yukon, the youngest of 9 children of the late Frank Joseph Sr. and Suzanna (Elias) Zubaty. In addition to her parents. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank "Fritz" Hallock; a daughter, Susan Hallock; her eight older siblings; and her son-in-law, Fred Angelone. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jane Angelone; two grandchildren, Alex (wife Cassie) Angelone and Lexi Angelone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann had faithfully attended St. Barbara Catholic Church until her health started to decline. She had always been healthy and active; volunteering for Meals on Wheels, bowling, and cutting her grass into her seventies. She also worked for over 20 years at the Marianne Store during the Greengate Mall years. Ann and her late husband, Fritz, enjoyed traveling all over by plane, train, or automobile to Hawaii, the Twin Cities, and California, among many trips. She was a great mother and excellent grandmother. Her very kind and sweet demeanor will be sorely missed by her family. Friends will be received Thursday, April 21 from 3-6 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, where a funeral liturgy will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 22. He was born on February 6, 1957 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Louis and Margaret (Rudlowski) Volkar. Bill worked for Penn-Trafford School District for many years. He was a member of Norwin Elks, Bushy Run American Legion, PA Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists, Penn Rod and Gun Club, Arlington Sportsmen's Club, Westmoreland County Sportsmen's League, and president/treasurer and steward of SNPJ Lodge 41. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. He liked to work on cars and was self-taught in doing body work. He was an avid Black and Gold fan who loved all Pittsburgh sports. Bill is survived by three sisters and a brother, Beverley Stotera, Marge (Joe) Busato, Flo (Lenny) Cole, and James (Marlene) Volkar; and several nieces and nephews. Katherine was an active Jehovah's Witness and attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall in Trafford. She was a very close friend to many that she met at congregations throughout the years. Katherine loved to read the Bible and take long walks, and she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Katherine is survived by her children, Thomasina R. "Toni" Pryor and Thomas E. Baughman; six grandchildren, Tyrone, Terrelle, Tamika, Kane, Jeremiah, Jaycob, and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Terrelle Jr., Kaydence, Keianna, and Arianna; two sisters, Janet Burton and Marlene (Buzz) Barkefelt; and several nieces and nephews. Obituary Preview: John David Rohrer of Jeanette, Pennsylvania, age 85, passed away on the 3rd of March.  John "Dave" was born on January 21st, 1937 to the late John S. and Helen Rohrer of Smithfield, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 60 years, Elaine Rohrer, who he spent his years growing a beautiful life and family alongside. Their happiest times together were spent traveling to be with family. He was a loving, devoted father to his daughter Pamela (Neil) French, and his son, David (Linda) Rohrer. Dave was the proud Grandpap to his grandchildren Davis, Shelby, Jonathan, Jordan, Tyler, Nichole, Kelsey, and great grandchildren Morgan, Zachary, Fiona, Ewan, and Gavin. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Durso; his favorite sister-in-law Debbie (Dave) Walker; cherished nieces Deidre, Sondra, Michelle, and Daphne; and beloved nieces Terri Ann and Janine and nephews, Scotty and Bryan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James and Charles; sister, Gertrude; niece Marsha. Dave proudly served two years in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist. Dave and Elaine started their family in Uniontown, PA laying the foundation for their family to grow. A move to Marlton, New Jersey brought 20 years of happiness and raising their family. Here he held a fruitful career in management with Zurich Insurance. After moving to North Carolina he enjoyed a post-retirement career with Lowe's Home Improvement. North Carolina brought Dave and Elaine many wonderful memories and friends for 15 years before returning back home to Pennsylvania. Most days you could find Dave relaxing in his favorite spot, sitting on the back porch with his dear Wife next to him. Dave was a man who held his religion, his family and his work close to his heart.  He was the centerpiece of a beloved family, and always there to lend a helping hand or a joyful tune.  The imprint he has left on his family and friends will endure beyond his 85 years. He was born on January 11, 1950 in Toledo, OH, a son of the late Edward and Martha (Mullenix) Snider. Steve was an educator who taught at Greensburg Salem School District for 36 years and Trinity Christian School for 5 years. He also coached for 50 years, twelve years of which was coaching at St. Vincent College. Steve loved his family and going on some wonderful vacations. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's activities, especially running. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Woods Snider; loving sons, Matthew (wife Megan) and Nathan Snider; cherished grandchildren, Julia and Luke Snider; brothers, Michael and David (wife Cindy) Snider; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, John and Constance Wilson and Frank Woods; nieces and nephews, Rachel (husband Kevin) Ketchman, Joshua (wife Melissa) Woods, Jason Snider, and Christa (husband Walter) Mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Frank and Willavene Woods. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the doctors and nurses that we were blessed to have care for Steve. A special thanks to Dr. James Adisey, Dr. Craig Alpert, and all their staff. Without these caring people, we would not have had the privilege of enjoying Steve these last years. She was born, raised and worshipped in her beloved Holy Trinity in Jeannette. Gladys fully trusted in the lord to guide and care for her throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. Gladys was an active member of the Sunshine Club, Church Ladies Guild, Meals on Wheels, and wrote for her church newsletter. She loved painting ceramics and oil painting and was well known as the "snow baby lady", as she made hundreds of snow babies which still adorn the Christmas trees of many friends and family. Gladys is survived by her children, Robert (Colette) Hough and Nancy (Richard) Lovato; grandchildren, Anna Hough and Allison Hough, Christopher (Kelly) Lovato, Nicolette (Karl) Schweikarth and Michael Lovato; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Cameron Lovato, Mila, Emma, Gia and Eli Schweikarth; sister, Ann (Russell) Muto; brother, Roger (Candy) Weightman; sister-in-law, Anita (Ernie) Durst; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born on January 10, 1928 in Liberty Boro, PA, to the late William and Katherine (McGowan) Roberts. During World War II, Shirley worked in the bomb shop at Christy Park Mills in McKeesport. She then worked for many years at McKeesport Hospital before her retirement. She loved daily word search puzzles and going to the casino, but especially loved her family and visiting with her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons, Linda Beamon, Eleanor Kacik, Katherine (Robert) Pastor, Joseph (Melissa) Barnes, and Thomas (Donna) Barnes; six grandsons, Kevin (Mandy) Beamon, Casey Kacik, Joshua (Rosie) Pastor, Dawson Barnes, Tyler Barnes, and Travis Barnes; three granddaughters, Emily (Ryan) Morda, Tessa Barnes, and Scarlet Barnes; and 6 great-grandchildren. Henry Miller, III - September 12, 1951 - February 16, 2022

Obituary Preview: Henry Miller, III age 70 of Murrysville, PA, formerly of Ross Township, PA, passed away on February 16, 2022, after a lifelong battle of alcoholism. He was surrounded by his loved ones; his best friend and partner Linda S. Strock of Harrison City and his loving and devoted Scottish Terriers, Katie and Sissy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Miller, Jr. and Eleanor M. Miller, along with his nephew, Matthew R. Miller and his beloved Aunt Betty Jane McGonigle. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert D. Miller of Florida and Charles R. Miller of North Carolina and their children and grandchildren and his loving and caring cousin, Erin Brammer. Henry graduated from North Hills High School in 1969 and attended the Community College of Allegheny County for two years at the Boyce Campus where he pitched for the 1971 baseball team. He then transferred to Michigan State University and obtained a B.S. degree in 1973 with "high honors," Henry then attended the University of Toledo College of Law and graduated with a J.D. degree in 1976 and passed the Bar Examination in that same year. Beginning in 1972 to 1978 Henry served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Francis A. Barry, Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. Henry was a sole practitioner and a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association for 46 years while also serving as solicitor for the Neville Township Zoning Hearing Board. In addition to serving as the solicitor for the Allegheny County Health Department from 1997 to 2016 under the guidance of the late Dr. Bruce W. Dixon, a true pioneer in the public health arena. Henry retired from the Health Department in 2016 and was truly enjoying his part time practice which he maintained until his death. One of his proudest achievements was his complete abstinence from alcohol for the past 9 years and he was not afraid to offer his insight or advice to others gripped by this terrible disease. Henry also served the citizens of Ross Township as a member of the Ross Township Civil Service Commission from November 2015 to June 2021 when he relocated to Murrsyville, PA. He served as chairman of the Board from 2017 to 2021. Henry also contributed many hours to the Allegheny County pro bono Protection From Abuse Program administered by Neighborhood Legal Services. Doris left home after high school at the age of 17 and went to work for military intelligence in Washington DC, helping to decipher the Japanese code during World War II. She then went to NYC where she attended Columbia University School of the Arts. While in New Your City, Doris modeled for couturier houses, created an all-girl band, and was an Arthur Murray dance teacher. She was a talented artist and musician who enjoyed painting, and played the Hawaiian guitar since the age of 5. She was an avid bridge player and golfer, and loved to cook. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Irwin. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Lori F. (Richard) Loughner and Elizabeth H. Collins; two grandchildren, Sarah E. and Matthew A. Loughner; two sisters, Gertrude Saxman and Evelyn (Robert) Neighly; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip G. Collins; three brothers, Leonard, Dale (surviving Alice), and Raymond Henry; and a sister, Joyce McClelland.
