Born in Marion Twp., he was a son of the late John C. and Elvy (Klopp) Troutman.He was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church.He was a 1943 graduate of Penn Bernville High School.He was an Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was first a farmer, and then worked for Bond Bakery as a route salesman, then worked for 31 years as an insurance agent for prudential, before retiring in 1987.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael L. Troutman, husband of Amy Blumenshine, Minneapolis, MN; a daughter, Lisa M., wife of William Moyer, Potter County; a brother, William Troutman, Wyomissing; a sister, Jane Ruth, Wernersville; three grandchildren, Brian Moyer, Becca Troutman Blumenshine, and Nate Troutman Blumenshine; three great grandchildren, Rick Smee, Grace Miller, and Katie Moyer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Paul, Charles, and Edwin; and five sisters, Agnus, Mae, Pearl, Elsie, and Anna. A memorial service will be held at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 7th, at Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, 1 Carlisle Ave., Reading 19609. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville, is handling arrangements. Memorials will address feeding, sheltering, and providing opportunities to those in need through the service of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, checks made payable to LPCUMC in memory of Louis.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Jane E. wife of Ronald Martin, TX and most recently Singapore, and Susan L. wife of Michael Stone, Lancaster; two brothers, Dr. Ronald Marks, and Andrew Kurtz; three sisters, Sandra Kauffman, Deb Johnson, and Susie Kurtz; and four grandchildren, Emily and Kathryn Martin, and Megan and Will Stone. She was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Dautrich.Services will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 27, at Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, 1 Carlisle Ave., Reading, with her pastor, the Rev. David McMillan officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00AM, Wednesday, at the church. Burial will be in Hains Church Cemetery, Wernersville.
