Rogers. 1 brother, Charles Wiggie Johnson and 5 sisters, Barbara Johnson, Margie Hoover, Ethel Gray, Rachel Moody, and Dorothy Johnson.
Survivors include 4 sons, George K. Rogers Jr., Omer C. Rogers, James W. Rogers, and Joseph F. Rogers. 3 daughters, Deborah Johnson, Dorothy Rogers, and Jessie F. Jenkins. Numerous grand and great, and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.

Jim was born on July 16, 1946, in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Calvin E. Galloway and Bessie G. Cain. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by 1 sister, Margie Bowlin, and 2 brothers, Robert G. Galloway and Earl Plowman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Curry Galloway, 2 sons, Shane and wife Elizabeth Galloway of Irvine and John and wife Karen Galloway of Berea, Kentucky. 4 grandchildren, Sibyl and Matt Colwell of Mt. Vernon, Nick and Jenna Galloway of Olive Hill, Breanna and Jordan Golden of McKee, and James Galloway of Jackson County. 4 great grandchildren, Grayson and Hannah Galloway, Desman Golden, and Marlie Cowell. 3 sisters, Mary Miller of Richmond, Irene Lainhart of Brodhead, and Margaret Durbin of Irvine. A special cousin, Bernice Plymon of Irvine, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved puppy, Rowdy.
Funeral services for James E. “Jim” Galloway will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Wisemantown Methodist Church with Bro. Tim Jones and Bro. Noel White officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, April 30, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Lewis Home for Funerals.
Pallbearers will be, Shane Galloway, Gene Higginbotham, James Miller, Nick Galloway, Matt Colwell, and Jordan Golden. The funeral procession will be led by his grandson and KSP Trooper Nick Galloway.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Military honors will be provided by Chapter 165 of the D.A.V. of McKee, Kentucky.

Miss Isaacs was a Christian and loved the lord with all of her heart. She attended the Irvine First church of God and many other churches in Estill County whenever she could. Brenda loved all of her family, many friends, babies, and all children.
In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charlie “Dobbin” Isaacs Jr. and Richard Lee Isaacs along with 1 sister, Karen Isaacs.
Survivors include her mother, Virginia Mae Estes Isaacs, her sister, Rebecca Isaacs Tipton and Steve, a very special nephew, Stevie Tipton II, a very special great nephew, Allen Tipton and a very special great niece, Lacey Tipton. Brenda was “Little Momma” to these 3. They were her babies. A friend and Special caregiver, Kathy Smith, a very special friend, Lisa Stewart, considered family, for many years, as well as all family members and friends and many children to miss her and mourn her passing.

Mr. LeMaster was preceded in death by his uncle, Paul LeMaster and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Henry.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Margaret LeMaster, 2 brothers, Kyle and Corey LeMaster and 1 sister, Heather Campbell, and a special sister, Stevie LeMaster. 1 special uncle, Steve LeMaster, 1 special Aunt, Kristy Henry, 1 special nephew, Tayler Crowe, along with numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

She is survived by her beloved son, Philip Newton and his wife Della; three grandchildren: Lori Newton (David Kash), Tonya Kaylor (Jagger), and Jamie Newton along with three great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Abshear, Dustin Abshear and Kenton Abshear. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews,

Mr. Crowe was a member of Amvets Post #67 in Clay City, Kentucky. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Shelby was a 32nd degree mason and belonged to the Stafford Masonic Lodge #562 for 46 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Gay Crowe, His son, Bradley Keith Crowe and wife Amy, 1 sister, Jeanette Dixon, 2 brothers, Dallis Crowe and wife Jeanne and Reuben Esco Crowe and wife Raymona. Obituary Preview: Christine "Teenie" Patrick (nee Powell) of Liberty Twp., OH, earned her crown of jewels on February 18, 2024 at the age of 96. A gift indeed, Teenie was born on Christmas Eve in 1927 to Ancil and Lillie Mae (nee Snowden) Powell.
The last of her siblings, Teenie served as the matriarch for not just her children and grandchildren, but for all her nieces and nephews as well. A servant of God, Christine was an active member of Breiel Church. Over the years she served in numerous ministries there and elsewhere in the Church of God. As a charter member of the Liberty Twp. Historical Society and the Liberty Twp. Garden Club, Teenie created many lifelong friendships. Perhaps she is best known for baking the best sourdough bread known to man. Teenie will be forever loved and cherished by all that knew her.
Christine was preceded in death by: parents, Ancil and Lillie Mae Powell; husband, Earl Byrum Patrick; son, Bill Patrick; siblings, Lola Mastin, Lizzie Brookshire, Leora Witt, Zella Berry, and Glynn Powell; and grandson-in-law, Jeffrey Friedman.
Christine is survived by: children, Christy (Johnny) Henry, Byrum (Brian Hickey) Patrick, and Lisa (Paul) Gormas, daughter-in-law, Ann Margaret Patrick; grandchildren, David (Beki) Warren, Karen (Sue Henry) Patrick, Angela (KC) Garvey, Sonia Bach, Roger Henry, Susan (Lisa) Patrick, Sara Patrick, Annie (Justin) Cantrell, Laura (Jamie) Jeltema, Katie (Jason) Kirklin, Angie Gormas, and Christy Gormas; numerous great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Breiel Church, 2000 N Breiel Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45042. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at Breiel Church. Interment will immediately follow in Jackson Chapel UMC Cemetery, Irvine, Kentucky.

Obituary Preview: Atwood Winkle age 84, of Winchester, Kentucky, formally of Irvine, departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the VA hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Atwood was born in Irvine, Kentucky on April 9,1939 to the late Charlie and Loutisha Cox Winkle.
In addition to his parents Mr. Winkle is also preceded in death by; his loving wife Mary Carlene Click Winkle, two brothers: Edgar and Ronald W. Winkle and 3 sisters: Irene Lowry, Louise Winkler, and Alpha Wison.
Mr. Winkle served in the United States Army in Germany, Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama. He was a member of the Ruckerville Church of Christ for over 30 yrs, served as youth director for 25 yrs. and pastor at Antioch Christian Church for 20yrs.
Survivors include: one brother Lowell Winkle, a special niece Vonda Vermillion and husband Albert, along with numerous other nieces and nephews, 1 special friend: Barbara, and numerous other relatives and friends to miss and mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Atwood Winkle will be conducted on February 19, 2024, at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Allen Epperson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Crowe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 P.M at the funeral home.

Obituary Preview: Mary Marie “Mimi” Sparks Tucker age 73, of Irvine, Kentucky transitioned to her heavenly home on February 12th, 2024, surrounded by her five grandchildren whom she adored.
Mimi retired from Kentucky Department of Transportation, previously worked as a health-care professional at the Estill County Senior Citizens’ Center, owned Mimi’s Fabric Shop and was a gifted seamstress. Throughout her professional career(s) she built many lifelong friendships that she valued greatly.
Mimi was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sue Sparks, and her in in-laws Bill and Chic Tucker. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Cole “Bill” Tucker, sister Kathy (Bobby) Finney, and Pleas McIntosh- the brother she never had, in addition to the McIntosh brothers.
Her love of cooking for family and friends will be carried on by her three children William “Budd” Cole Tucker (Tammy), Kenneth “Kenny” Lynn Tucker (Mickey), Elizabeth Kathleen “Katie” Ferrell (Robbie), and bonus son Terry Fitzgerald Carroll (Sonya). and five grandchildren, Whitney Shae Young (David), Michael Boone Tucker, Emily Maxine Osborne (Tyler), Kenton Dean Tucker, and Daniel Cole Ferrell, and two bonus grandsons, Austin Grant Howell (Andika, Link, Jeremih), Charles “Charlie” Brenton Howell. Kimberly Finney (niece), Robbie Finney (nephew), Brack Finney (nephew).
Mimi was a life-long member of Ravenna Christian Church, and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Mimi will always be remembered for her remarkable cooking talent, love for animals, service to veterans, and devotion to her family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mary Marie “Mimi” Sparks Tucker will be conducted on Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. In the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Tony White will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Billie L. Brandenburg, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was born in Hazard, Perry County, Kentucky, on January 24, 1940, and moved as a young child, age 2, to Irvine, Kentucky, and at age 4, to Ravenna, Kentucky. Mr.: Brandenburg was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Amy Napier Brandenburg, his father, Ray Johnson of Perry County, and his adoptive father, Hargis Brandenburg. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jean Johnson, his brother, Blaine Brandenburg, Buford Brandenburg, and Donald Brandenburg.
Mr. Brandenburg was a member of Williams Memorial Baptist Church in Ravenna, Kentucky, continuously since the age of 9. He attended Ravenna Elementary School through eighth grade where as a young boy, he was active in the Boy Scouts, and delivered the Lexington Leader to many residents of Ravenna and Irvine. He was a 1958 graduate of Irvine High School having attended Bluegrass Boys State in March of the year, He was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky Fire School where he was awarded a Fire Engineering Teaching Certificate. He attended Central Technical Institute in Kansas City Missouri, for Airline Personnel Training. He attended Lexington Community College having been awarded the Emergency Medical Technician Certificate, the Blackstone School of Law, and he attended Eastern Kentucky University studying Criminal Law and Police Administration.
Mr. Brandenburg was proud to serve his country as a combat veteran during the Vietnam War serving in the United States military from 1963 – 1966. He attended U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia, studying Military Law. His service was with the 11sth Air Assault Test Division to develop the Air Mobility Concept. This division was changed to the 1st Cavalry Air Mobile Division, to implement the Air Mobility Concept in Vietnam, where he was an Infantryman, Personnel Specialist, and Intelligence Specialist.
Mr. Brandenburg was employed in various positions throughout his life which reflected his interest, strengths, and unique abilities. As a young man he was employed in Kansas City, Missouri, first as an Advertising and Printing Clerk with Jackbilt Corporation then a Supply Clerk with Clipper Manufacturing, at Katz Drug Company as a Management Trainee, and finally at Pinkerton Detective Agency. He also had quite a history with the Fire Department serving as a Ravenna Volunteer Fireman, then Assistant Chief for the City of Ravenna, followed by Fire Chief. He designed a new fire truck for Ravenna in 1969 and served as Deputy State Fire Marshall from 1967 – 1969. He will be remembered by many families in Estill County during their times of bereavement in his position as Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer with Cox Funeral Home and then with Lewis Funeral Home,
Later, he was President of Estill Corporation which dealt with oil and gas leasing and drilling, owner of Star Security, which provided security and investigative services to the coal industry, was a private contractor as a Security and Investigative Consultant, and most recently as a Gold Buyer with Cash-in-a-Dash Company.
He was also active in the political arena and had many friends and contacts throughout Kentucky and other states as a result. His first venture into politics involved serving as Acting City Judge in Ravenna from 1967 – 1970. Next, he served in public office from 1970 – 1974, when the people of Estill County voted him the honor of serving as Estill County Judge. He was then appointed Special Judge from 1974 – 1975, to hear select cases. These positions occupied a very special part of his life and his service to others.
Mr. Brandenburg was a devoted public servant, working for programs and services that would benefit all Estill Countians. Some of the programs that he was responsible for and functioned within active leadership positions included serving as Chairman of the Board for the Bluegrass Area Development Council, Chairman of the Board for the Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, he brought the GED Adult Education Program into the county before it was absorbed into the school system, he served as the first Director of the Estill County Emergency Medical Service Program and was called upon to help develop and organize Emergency Medical Services in other counties as well, he instigated the program to set up building the Chamberlain Branch dam to prevent flooding at the Irvine-Ravenna line, he along with Dr. Tim Lee Carter, instigated the purchase and renovation of the Fitchburg Furnace, he was responsible for the expansion of the Estill County Water District including installation of fire hydrants throughout the district, then later on established the Estill County Fire Department in 1973. He designed the first two fire trucks for Estill County. He served as Chairman of the Public Employment Program for the National Association of Counties, before Congress on the Comprehensive Employment Training Program, and the Federal Revenue Sharing Program. It was noted in 1973 by the National Association of Counties that Judge Brandenburg was the only elected public official in the United States to simultaneously head an economic developments agency and an anti- poverty agency. He established a central dispatch communications program for Estill County which provided radios for the Sheriff’s Department, the Police Departments of Irvine and Ravenna, as well as the Fire Department and Ambulance Service. He, along with Lynn Frazier, met with the Kentucky Congressional Delegation as well as members from other states and presented information to implement a nutrition program which later became known as the Meals on Wheels Program. He worked with the Library Board to establish the Estill County Library on Main Street and was responsible for initiating the bonding in order to build the nursing home, currently Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Brandenburg was a Charter Member as well as a Lifetime Member of the International and National Association of Probate Judges, a Lifetime Member of the 11th Airborne Division and 1st Calvary Division Association, the VFW, the DAV, the American Legion, and a Kentucky Colonel.
He leaves to cherish his history and memories, sisters-in-law Dianna Brandenburg Chambers, Bath County, and Jean Brandenburg, Lexington, Kentucky. Nephews Martin (Kim) Brandenburg, Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Doug Brandenburg, Colorado. Nieces Sherry Brandenburg Sullivan, Lexington, Kentucky, and Terry (Otis) Freeman, Irvine, Kentucky. Also his cherished friend, Marsha Stone, along with special cousin Bill (Judy) Strong, Lexington, Kentucky, and special friend Phyllis Wagers. Several great nieces and nephews, and cousins Wanda Morgan, Hazard, Kentucky, and Billy Joe Napier, Hyden, Kentucky.
Mr. Brandenburg was a man of principle and integrity who cared deeply about his family, his community, and his friends, and our lives will be forever blessed and enriched by his being a part of them. He will be remembered for his love, his leadership, and his loyalty. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Lewis Home for
Funerals with Brother Jim Ashcraft officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will follow at West Irvine Cemetery with full military honors.

Ivan Loved the Lord. He loved dirt track racing, Listening to Bluegrass Gospel music and spending time with his family and friends. Ivan “Pete” will be greatly missed.
Survivors include four children: Tyler Preston, Tamara, Breanna and Micha Ashcraft. One grandchild: Presley Reay. A brother Danny Ashcraft and two sisters: Linda and Charlie Bill Muncy and Ruth Ann Hackworth. Along with many other relatives and friend to miss him and mourn his passing.

Melvin was born on December 24, 1939, in Estill County and remained in Estill County all his life. He was the son of the late Ed and Polly Neal Wiseman.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Betina Sue Horn Wiseman and two sisters: Crecie Babb and Elsie Henry.
Melvin was dedicated to all sports in the county and employed many young men in the county thru the years. He loved the Lord, his family and his friends with all he had. He was a member at the White Oak Church of God and operated a service station in Irvine for over 60 years.
Melvin is survived by two sons: Mark David (Sherrie) Wiseman of Irvine, KY., Darryl Alan Wiseman (Richard) of Georgia. Four sisters: Mary (Charlie) Stacy Goshen of Indiana, Sella Powell of Mason OH, Dorothy Hall Irvine, KY and Gladys White of Louisville, KY. Three grandchildren, one Great grandson and a special friend Ruth Howell.
A memorial service will be held on January 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M at White Oak Church of Good with Brother Glyndon Woosley Officiating.
