Alvah Clark Buswell - July 31, 1951 - May 19, 2024

Departed: 05/19/2024 (Wasilla)
Obituary Preview: Longtime resident Alvah Clark "Buzz" Buswell III, died at his home of natural causes on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.Born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 31st, 1951, to parents Alvah Clark ‘Skip’ Buswell Jr (a marine architect and World War II veteran) and Lucille "Molly" Klem (the daughter of Mat-Su Colonists). Buzz, along with his two siblings, came to Alaska in 1961 with his parents return.
Like many men his age was caught up in the automotive sub culture of the 60s and built and owned several performance cars over the years and remained a life -long enthusiast. In his later years he became interested in heavy trucks and considered his T-600 Kenworth his last ‘hot rod’. He was a fan of 60s rock and enjoyed electronics.
While attending Chugiak High school, Buzz met his wife, Stacey Buswell (Knight) and they married in 1972.
He opened Mark IV Enterprises in 1975; a construction and electrical contracting company that serves Alaska to this day. His clients included some of Anchorage's most colorful and prominent builders and developers over the years.
Buzz was very proud of his number of children and their accomplishments and would tell you about them as soon as he had the chance. A large and sometimes imposing man, he was bluntly honest, opinionated, and a highly intelligent problem solver. His need to problem solve led him to dabble in local politics over the years where he served on the Birchwood Community Council and later on the Mat-Su Borough Planning Commission and the Wasilla City Council.
Buzz was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother Robert Braden Buswell and his grandson Clifford "Junior" Buswell. He is survived by his wife Stacey, his sister April Zelenka, his seven children and 23 grandchildren.
A service will be held at the LDS Wasilla Stake Center (Dellwood Avenue) on June 1st at 2PM.

We will embrace his death as we did his life. We will be his eyes so he will miss nothing. We will be his voice and share his wisdom. We will, with his memory as our guide, carry forward his humble spirit, and with it his generosity, civility, kindness, and his unconditional respect for his fellow man. And if we do these things, we will have fulfilled his greatest wish for us. His life then complete, he will miss nothing because we live on in his place, trying as we may to understand, and then become, just a little of what he was.

Departed: 04/07/2024 (Wasilla)
Obituary Preview: Robert Woodrow Wright Jr. son, brother, and father, passed away suddenly on April 7, 2024, from Cardiac arrest. He was 58.
He was the beloved son of Bob and Alma Wright of Wasilla, Alaska. Brother to Tina Wright Brown, Austin, Texas, and father of two boys Ryan Wright of Eugene, Oregon and Nathan Wright of Wasilla, Alaska.
Robert grew up in Payette, Idaho and there he learned the joys of upland bird hunting for pheasant, grouse and dove in the foothills of the Treasure Valley.
He graduated from Payette High School in 1983 and joined the US Army. He served his country first at Fort Leonard in Wood, Missouri, and then spent a stint in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1987.
Being stationed in Wood, Missouri was fitting because Robert learned to be a master craftsman and mason in the Army. He worked at various construction companies over the years, until he formed his own business as a Master Craftsman. He loved restoring all things wood including antiques. His belief was that wood no matter how flawed, damaged or imperfect could be restored and that wood had a forever life.
Robert moved to Alaska thirty years ago and became a proud resident of the state. Fishing for salmon, trout, and halibut. Enjoying the outdoors and the beauty Alaska had to offer.
His family, parents, sister, sons, many cousins and friends will remember Robert for his big personality, big stories and his big sense of humor.
We will miss Robert dearly and remember him as restored and moving onto his “forever life”.
