Sheldon and Sarah (Wolfe) Everhart.  Sheldon was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School. He married the love of his life Mary Ann (Cherkauskas) Everhart, together raising a son, Sheldon Jr.. Sheldon was a steel worker for Bridon America for 25 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilkes Barre. Among his many interests and hobbies, he loved spending time with family and friends most of all. In addition to his parents, Sheldon was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Everhart. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 52 years, Mary Ann Everhart; son Sheldon T. Everhart Jr. and his wife Dawn; and brothers, Martin and Leonard Everhart. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Obituary Preview: Linda S. (Bond) Mendoza, 60, of Luzerne, passed away with one of her sweet sisters by her side on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Edwardsville on August 10, 1961, she was a daughter of Harold Bond and the late Helen (Liss) Bond.
Linda was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She worked as stenographer before she became a stay-at-home mom who was dedicated to raising her family. Always being a hard worker, she then worked in the retail industry after raising her family.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, and playing bingo and was also an avid collection of Peanuts memorabilia. Linda had a witty sense of humor and loved her sweet cats. She was strong and smart, especially with math and her ability to remember numbers.  Linda fought to overcome the many struggles and tragedies she had been faced with in life. She had a true love for all her family, and she deserved that same love. Linda will be so sadly missed by her family and all that knew her.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Liss.
Linda is survived by her husband of almost 36 years, Vincent Mendoza, Sr.; sons, Vincent Mendoza, Jr. and Robert Mendoza; daughter, Rebecca Mendoza; father, Harold Bond; brothers, Jeffrey Bond and wife, Mary Ann, Harold Bond and wife, Linda, James Bond and wife, Katie and Kenneth Bond and wife, Diane; sisters, Lisa McGahee and husband, Pastor Adam, Cheryl Chabalko and husband, Tom and Kimberly Sutton and husband, Kyle and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Moving River Ministries Church, 453 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be Pastor Jeffrey Bond.
The family asks for donations to be made in memory of Linda to the charity of your choice.

Gertrude married her husband, Harold on August 20, 1955, together they raised their three children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson and great- granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Eroh, who passed February 2, 2016.
Left to cherish her memory are sons; Rocco Eroh, Palm Coast, Florida, Mark Eroh (Patricia), Nanticoke; daughter, Karen Wood and her companion, John Betelli, Wilkes Barre; and a grandson, Chad Eroh (Elizabeth), Hunlock Creek; greatgrandchild, Breanna Eroh.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Obituary Preview: Lester L. Rittenhouse, 61, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 3, 1960, he was a son of the late Thomas Rittenhouse, Sr. and Thelma (Turcan) Rittenhouse. Lester worked with his family at Curry Donuts as a baker for many years, and was also a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre
Lester’s greatest passion in life involved building custom cars. He built them his own way and didn’t follow any rules. From hot rods, to flame throwers, and even a coffin car.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Roman, his cats, Franklin, Daryl, Roscoe, and Gizmo and his dog, Baby, who passed away recently. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dolly Oldziejewski, Maxine Concert and Laverne Rittenhouse; brothers, Lloyd (Wiggy) and Thomas Rittenhouse.
Lester is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Calimeres) Rittenhouse; daughter, Athena Rittenhouse and companion, Paul Lunski; son, George Rittenhouse; grandson, Roman; brothers, George Rittenhouse and wife, Diane and Bert Rittenhouse and wife, Gayle; his brother from another mother Sean McCabe; mother-in-law, Marina Calimeres; sister-in-law, Sandy Craig and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dr. Horovick and Dr. Saidman’s offices and the hospice nurses from Bayada, Charlene and Cheryl.

James Leo Kilgallon - April 16, 1954 - February 12, 2022

Obituary Preview: James Leo Kilgallon, “Dad”, “Jimmy”, “Jim”, “Grandpa Jim” and “Kink”, as he was known to those who knew and loved him, died unexpectedly from a heart attack at the age of 67 on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his home.
Jim was a man full of life until the end.  He was a tree trimmer his entire life, recently retiring from Asplundh Tree Expert and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  He continued to help his family and friends with tree work until the day he died.  He loved being outdoors and was hiking and walking until the end. He also loved to ride his bike, ski and vacation at the Jersey Shore.  He was always there for anyone who needed him and was at every one of his granddaughters’ shows, concerts, games, meets and events.  He was always there and will be sorely missed. Jim was born in Philadelphia on April 16, 1954 to the late Leo and Mildred (Vivian) Kilgallon.  He lived most of his life in Wilkes-Barre and Plymouth and had attended E. L. Meyers High School
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Maria “Mimi” (Paolucci) Kilgallon.
Jim is survived by his sons, James Kilgallon and his wife, Traci; Christopher Kilgallon and his partner, Sara Springer; granddaughters, Emma and Isabel Kilgallon; sister Linda Burke; his girlfriend Cynthia Cramer; former wife, Barbara Kilgallon; sister-in-law Lynn Dougherty and her husband, William; nephews, Robert Burke and his wife, Jacqueline; Michael Burke and his wife Amanda; niece Jennifer (Dougherty) Chabala; nephew William Dougherty Jr.; great-nephews Sean and Liam Burke; and his many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Carol Coleman officiating.   Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Friends may call Friday evening, February 18, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 until the time of the service.

Obituary Preview: Brendan N. Seabrook, 27, of Monroe NY, passed away tragically on February 6th, 2022, in White Plains, NY.  Brendan was born on February 3rd, 1995, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was the beloved son of Nathaniel Seabrook Jr., and Kim Grady.
Brendan graduated from G.A.R Memorial High school, in the year of 2013. He was employed in Monroe, NY, where he was a gas mechanic for 5 years. He also recently stepped out of his comfort zone, and started working for Goodwill Industries, as an on-call Residential Program Worker, where his clients loved him dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, family and friends. On the weekends he loved going to the gym and playing basketball. Brendan enjoyed taking walks in Kirby Park, and watching football with his grandparents. Brendan will always be remembered for being devoted, humorous, hardworking, and just an overall respectable man, who was loved by so many. In the words of his family, “Brendan was a compassionate man, whose life was just truly starting. He was handsome, funny, loving, and extremely determined. His smile will be something to remember, as it lit up every room he walked in. Brendan, you may not be here in physical form, but you will always be with us in spirit. You have no idea how much you are loved by us and how much you will be missed.”
In addition to his parents, Brendan is survived by his daughter, Aubree Noelle Seabrook, and his two sister’s Brittney Lynn Seabrook and Brea Lynn Seabrook. Brendan was a loving uncle to his two nieces, Aalyiah and Mariah Burke. He was also survived by; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Sandy Kaskey and paternal grandmother, Brenda Seabrook; several uncles and aunts, along with several cousins.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 19th, 2022, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 105 Hill St. Wilkes Barre, PA 18702.

James was born on January 16, 1965 in Rochester, NY to Herbert and Dorothy (Schult) Cummings. He received his pastoral degree from Baptist Bible College in Binghamton, NY in 1987, and served as pastor for five different churches over a 23 year period in Northeast Pennsylvania. On May 22, 1987, he married Lydia Coy (Woodward) Cummings. They raised one son, Joshua, and two daughters, Charity and Faith.
James had a passion for ministry. He faithfully served his local community in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He took great joy in spending time with his four grandsons and granddaughter. He enjoyed caring for his dog, Teddy, baking, and playing table games.
James was preceded in death by his father, Herbert. He is survived by his wife, Lydia, his three children, Joshua, Charity, and Faith, his four grandsons, Harvey, Noah, Judah, and Lucas, his granddaughter, Abigail, his mother, Dorothy, his two brothers, Paul, and Steve, his sister, Mary, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:00 PM at High Point Baptist Church, 1919 Mountain Rd, Larksville, PA 18651.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Officiating will be Pastor Matt Tarr.
Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

After Retiring from nursing she then worked for Grottos Pizza where she was the,”hostess with the mostess” She loved singing to people around her. She loved cooking whether it was Naseem’s favorite food, Martin’s favorite food, or just a big feast for the whole family. She loved to laugh & smile and make others feel good about themselves no matter who they were.  She always had a ear to listen to other people's problems
She was survived by her two children Martin L. Silvera and Naseem I. Johnson,  followed by her 2 grandchildren Denim Z.Silvera and Kaiden J. Silvera, her siblings Gregory Dempsey, John Dempsey, Michael Dempsey, Herbert Dempsey, Herlonda Dempsey, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins that she truly loved. Cleatrice Dempsey was a warm hearted woman who wanted the best for everyone. She was a giver and a caretaker and resilient after every battle she fought. She was of the heart of the family and a pillar of the community that loved her tribe

Obituary Preview: LIFE CELEBRATION OF DR. ELI SIDNEY NOBLE, JR.
ELI SIDNEY NOBLE, JR. was the first born to the late Agnes Smith-Noble and Eli S. Noble, Sr. on August 28, 1945 in Brunswick, Georgia. In his early childhood and adolescence, he attended the Saint Cyprian Episcopal Church in Darien, Georgia. He continued to worship the Lord at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ and in 2006 joined the First Baptist Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA where he remained until its closure. Afterwards, he attended and worshipped under Reverend James Breese in Pittston, PA at the First Baptist Church of Pittston, PA.
Eli graduated from Todd Grant High School, Darien, Georgia (1962). Continuing on his successful educational path, he procured his Masters of Education from the University of Arizona in Health Education (1971). Still reaching, he acquired a Doctor of Education from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona (1981).
Doctor Noble served in the United States Air Force and received a honorable discharge on May 28, 1970.
Doctor Noble’s professional work history commenced in Arizona at the Pima Community College where he held a variety of positions between 1971-1988: graduate assistant, Judo instructor, wrestling coach and Chairperson of the Health-Physical Education and Recreation Department. Briefly, he worked as a coordinator at Tucson United School (AZ).
Migrating from Arizona to the state of New Jersey, Doctor Noble was hired to the position of vice-principal at Essex County Vocational Schools, Bloomfield, New Jersey in 1990. Seeking further growth, in September 1994, he landed the job of principal at ECVS in Newark, New Jersey where he remained until his retirement from there in February 2005. He was genuinely a prime example of establishing and conquering ones’ goals. RESIST, PERSIST, and Acquire were words he lived by tenaciously in his daily life and vehemently communicated to students and any young person he had contact. Doctor Noble was a member of the following societies and organizations: National Association for Secondary School of Principals New Jersey Education Association Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Pima Community College Hall of Fame (JUDD) Former Board of Trustee Chairperson at First Baptist Church (Wilkes-Barre) Omega Psi Phi Fraternity
Doctor Noble was preceded in death by his four sisters: Elizabeth Noble-Stewart, Kathy Noble-McCormick, Terry Adams and Rebecca Noble-Ferguson. Sadly, he leaves to honor in his memory, his wife Thelma Saunders-Noble (Bear Creek Twp.,PA), two daughters Kimberley Noble and Audra Noble-Wilkins (Anthony) (Richmond, VA), stepson Reginald Saunders (Newark, NJ), grands Gabriel, Nathaniel, Duran, Ayana, DeShonn and (the late) Dedric, great grands, brothers George (Valerie) Charlotte, VA, William (Shelia) Darien, GA, Ralph (Belle) Capitol Heights, MD and Henry (Kim) Darien, GA and mother-in-law, Lelia Ridley (Bear Creek Twp, PA); two sister-in-laws, Shirley Dorsey (Lumberton, NJ) and Diana Ridley (Elizabeth, NJ) and a plethora of nieces, nephews, colleagues and special friends. Curtis enjoyed sports, cooking, watching old movies and listening to music. He especially loved playing the piano and singing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Preston Caiby.

She also volunteered her time playing piano at Sunday Services at Valley Crest nursing home in Wilkes-Barre for many years. She was light-hearted and a joy to all who knew her. In her later years, she lived quietly with her daughter Jane in Nesquehoning.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and her son, Asher John Powell.
She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Comiskey and her husband, Jeff, daughter Cindy Shudak and her husband, Jim, daughter Jane Becker, and daughter-in-law Laurie Powell. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
