Also a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. Nancy was a graduate of Bennett High School and also Bryant & Stratton College. She had been employed by Iroquois Gas Co. for three years, Red Crown Bowling Lanes for ten years and also Island Bowling Lanes where she retired after 25 years. Nancy was an avid Bingo player, loved the Casino and Bowling and was an avid gardener. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Obituary Preview: TOLLAR - Michael Alex Age 74, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away April 15, 2022 after a brief but valiant fight against prostate cancer. Michael was born in North Tonawanda, New York to Alex and Dorothy Kohler Tollar. He graduated from Tonawanda High School in 1965 and continued his education at NCCC, Brockport State and Shelley’s School of Floral Design. He and his former wife Linda ran Northside Florist for 10 years. He also served as president of the Niagara Retail Florist Association. After selling Northside Florist, Michael moved to Atlanta where he ran another flower shop for 5 years before retiring to St. Petersburg. He continued freelance design work through Christmas 2021. Michael also served in the Air National Guard at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base from 1969-1975. Michael was predeceased by his partner O’Gene M. Donahue, Michael’s sister Janice, and parents Alex and Dorothy. He is survived by his sister Marcia (David) Friedman, nephew Bradley and niece, Katie; brother Robert (Emy), nephew Robert (Danielle), great niece and nephew Riley and Jack; niece Amy (Sally) Tollar; niece Kristen Myers and great nephew and great niece Christopher and Kaitlyn; cousin Barbara (Roger) Quinn. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 10 AM until 11 AM at Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road North in North Tonawanda, where a Prayer Service will be held at 11 AM in the Chapel following the visitation. Walter “Wally” Charles Frech - Unknown - January 31, 2022

Obituary Preview: FRECH, WALTER (WALLY) CHARLES, age 90, of the City of Tonawanda passed away  peacefully after a short illness on January 31, 2022. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Norma C.  (nee Bandy) Frech, father of Robert (Debra) Frech and Karen (Wayne Brown) Frech, grandfather of  Andrew and Samuel Frech, son of late Henry G. and Ruth (nee Graff) Frech, brother of Henry and  Marilyn Frech. He is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.
Wally was a graduate of Tonawanda High School class of 1950 and was Honorably discharged from the  Tonawanda US Army National Guard in 1956. He was a 50 plus year member of Tonawanda Lodge 247 F  & AM, and a life member of First Presbyterian Church in Tonawanda, where he served as an Elder,  Deacon, and Usher, sang in the church choir, and was actively involved in Vacation Bible School and  loved by the children. Wally enjoyed traveling with Norma including trips to Germany, Japan, and the  Bahamas, and visiting family and friends in California, Florida, Virginia, and Canada. Wally was a wise  counselor, clock collector, Meals on Wheels deliverer, a builder and fixer of everything (he was building  a boat in his backyard when Norma came over and said “Hi” and the rest is history!) and was always “the  last one out of the room”. His favorite night of the week was “Wally Wednesdays”. His pride and joy  were his grandsons, Andrew and Samuel.
Wally’s family would like to give special acknowledgement to his dear friends Betsy, Bob and Diane,  Christian, Don and Judy, Marilee, and Tom and Maryalice. A special thanks to his care givers during his  time of illness, Dr. Andrew Symons, Lori, Mary, and Jameia.
Wally’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 12th from 11am until 1pm at First  Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad Street, Tonawanda, where a Celebration of Life will be held beginning at  1pm following the visitation. Pastor Leslie Latham will officiate.
A private interment will be held at a later date.

Craig was an avid train man. He worked for the railroad for over 30 years, starting with Penn Central Railroad, then Conrail in Buffalo, NY, and CSX in Pittsburgh, PA. He loved to build and run model trains throughout his life and loved going to model train shows and riding trains of any kind. He loved Crystal Beach and worked there for 6 years in his teens while at his family cottage. He learned many tricks for games of chance, which delighted his kids and grandkids, and collected Crystal Beach memorabilia. Craig was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a longtime member and Deacon at Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. He was very generous and supported many causes close to his heart and would always help a friend or family member. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating his life on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11 AM, in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., in Tonawanda.
