Patricia Joanne Young, 81, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 15th, 2022.
Patricia was born the daughter of George William and Eva Maxine (McClain) Wright on November 5th, 1940 in Franklin, Indiana.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Young and brother, Larry Wright.  She is survived by her children, Deborah Louise (Terry) Green, Lori Ann (Chris) Baxter, and Randal Dean (Susan) Young; sisters, Connie McCabe, Bonnie Abbott, and Linda Hestand; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Patricia enjoyed home economics, assisting with 4H and 4H leadership, and Future Farmers of America.  She was also a retired baker, life-long farmer, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20th, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Jessen & Keller Funeral Home. Also, a visitation will be held Thursday, April 21st beginning at 10:00 a.m until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m..  Interment will follow at Acton Cemetery.  The family requests that memorials be made in her honor to The Humane Society. He loved hunting, aviation, and old trucks. Zach was a talented knife maker, but above all, his pride and joy were his children. He lived and fought hard for them. He was loyal, genuine, and always wanted to make others smile and be happy.
Zachary was born March 1, 1988 in Franklin, Indiana to Kenneth Lee and Debbie S. (Turner) Tomey.
Zachary is survived by his children, Addy and Weston Tomey; his parents, Kenneth and Debbie Tomey; his siblings, Trisha (Justin) Brown and Jacob (Jessica) Tomey; his nieces and nephew, Kenlee and Jackson Brown, Olivia, Janie, and Lettie Tomey; Mamaw and Papaw Turner along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Peggy was born on June 13th, 1948 in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Peggy is survived by her husband, James West, her three children, John (Leslie) Wallace, Sara (Randy) Burroughs, Laura Marlene (Brett Eslinger) Wallace, five grandchildren, three stepchildren, Trisha (Rick) Teague, Michael (Amy) West, Michelle (Mike) Higgins, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Carl Bahr and sister Martha Johann.
Peggy enjoyed spending time in her garden and sitting on the back porch with her family. She was a member of Madison Park Church of God and loved meeting up with her small group.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 3:00pm at Willow Branch UMC, located at 6244 N. Thomas Street, Willow Branch, IN 46186. Dinner will be provided.

Betty is survived by her sons William (Teresa) Keller and Dewey (Pat) Keller, granddaughter Sabrina (Rich) Kissling, grandsons Michael (Sarah) Keller, Stephen (Monica) Keller, Sean (Anna) Keller, Casey (Jacque) Keller, Randy (Ashley) Keller, and Craig (Allison) Tatman, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers Bill (Teresa) Brown, George (Joyce) Brown and sisters June Simpson and Gail (Pat) Estes, and daughter-in-law Sherry (James) Keller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Keller, her son James Keller, sister Jean Brown, and granddaughter Megan Tatman.
Betty was a member of New Whiteland Baptist Church. She had also been a member of Eastern Star. She worked at RCA in Indianapolis and retired from the bakery at Kroger. Betty loved the Lord, singing in the church choir, Christmas time, reading, history, flowers and plants. She loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by the funeral services at Jessen & Keller Funeral Home 729 US-31 Whiteland, IN 46184 with Pastor Jeff Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.

Gladys was born April 9, 1934 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Lorena Dubree. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bobby Riddle, who passed away July 6, 2018. They were married November 23, 1958.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 14 siblings.
Gladys is survived by three children, Roger Riddle (Pam) of Trafalgar, IN, Karen Atwood (Jeff) of Mooresville, IN, and Kevin Riddle (Angie) of Greenwood, IN; five grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Hammer (Charles); several nieces and nephews.
Gladys was a longtime member of Stop 11 Road Church of Christ and loved cooking, quilting, spending time with family, and playing euchre.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 7:00pm at Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 4:00pm until the service hour.

Connie was born October 9, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Vera (Candey) Davies & Richard Surato.
Connie attended Lansing Eastern High School and has lived in Lansing, Diamondale, Warren, Escanaba, Flushing, and Hartland, MI, Rothschild, WI, and Huntington, Fort Wayne and New Whiteland, IN. She was an office worker for Warren Consolidated Schools and later owned and operated The Village Crafters in Schofield, WI. Connie retired as a bookkeeper from Tippmann Industries in Fort Wayne, IN. She was a member of the American Sewing Guild and volunteered with Angel Gowns while living in Fort Wayne.
Connie loved baking and cooking for her friends and family, especially for the holidays. She found great pleasure in her elaborate Christmas Dickens Village and was sometimes highly competitive. She enjoyed playing board games, namely Scrabble, Yahtzee, Farkle and Dominoes, and looked forward to going to play Euchre Club later in life. Connie also treasured oil painting, home decorating and remodeling, and perennial flower gardening.
Connie is survived by her sons, Roger (Denise) Lundy of Greenwood, IN and Steven (Kathy) Lundy of Lake Forest Park, WA; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ron (Kaye) Surato of Mason, MI, twin brother Tom (Carole) Surato of Clermont, FL, and Richard (Margie) Surato of Mason, MI.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Vera & Larry Davies, and her father, Richard Surato.

Julie loved her family more than anything. She was a strong woman and raised 6 children on her own. She loved Christmas and Easter and, even when her children were adults, made Easter baskets for them for as long as she could. Her favorite thing to do was to sit and watch anything she could find about history, ghost stories, etc.
Julie is survived by her husband Tommy, mother Joahn, siblings Junior, Rose, Margie, and Mark, her 6 children and their spouses Jill and Beto, Clinton and Odessa, Shane, Amy, Lori and Nick, Jessica and Juan, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Sam and granddaughter Kathy.
Julie is loved by many and will be missed by all.

Norman, known by his nickname "Stormin' Norman" by those he loved, was born a son of the late Ora L. and Beulah M. (Carmichael) Swift, on May 31, 1950 in Franklin, IN. While in high school, Norm met the love of his life, Brenda Johnson. They were sweethearts all through high school and had just recently celebrated 52 wonderful years of marriage. Norm was blessed with four children: Beverly, who was stillborn, Norman Jr., Laura and her husband Daryl, and Karen. In his spare time, Norm loved racing his race cars, which he built himself, at the Speedrome, Brownstown, and Putnamville race tracks. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren at family gatherings. In addition to his wife and three children, Norm is survived by nine grandchildren: Brittany, Dustin, Ally, Johnny, Samantha, Justin, Whitney, Haley, and Jesse as well as seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his daughter, he was preceded in death by a grandson Dylan.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with a service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home located at 729 N. Obituary Preview: Rabon Dee Thompson, 78, of New Whiteland, died April 1, 2022.  Rabon was born the son of Willie Woodrow Thompson and Ina Jewel (Watson) Cunningham on July 2, 1943 in Red Oak (Pea Ridge) Tennessee.
Rabon was retired from Center Grove School as a custodian after 18 years. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who loved to listen to music, watch sports, fishing and most of all, the family reunions in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Gloria Jean (Nicholson) Thompson, son, James Thompson, brothers: Willie Fay and Randall Lee Thompson.  He leaves behind sons, Kenny (Sam) Thompson of Whiteland, Tim (Lynda) Thompson of Franklin, daughters, Melissa (Brad) Holzhausen of Whiteland and Miranda (Jerry) Turnley of Whiteland. Grandchildren; Kenny Thompson, Jr., Anthony Thompson, Stacy Hadley, Mackenzie Thompson, Jacob Holzhausen, Tabaitha Holzhausen, JJ Turnley and Elias Turnley, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Cliff Cunningham and Danny Cunnington, sister, Connie (Cunningham) Couch, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Harold was born November 14, 1933 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late Cloyd Martin and Anna Pearl (Milburn) Price. He was raised in Trenton, Michigan and lived there all his life before moving to Indiana with his wife, Jean, in 1972.
Harold served in the United States Army and later worked at The Allison Division of General Motors in purchasing and procurement from 1972 until his retirement in the early 1990s. Harold was a highly active and devoted Jehovah’s Witness and was an elder in the Smith Valley Congregation.
Harold is survived by his wife, Jean (Ranka) Price of Greenwood, IN; his three children, Kerri (James) Howington, Andrew "Drew" Price, and Timothy Price; seven grandchildren, Justin, Chris, Cody, Jake, Sam, Taylor, and Andrew, and five great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyd and Anna Price, and two brothers, Ralph and Roy Price.

Obituary Preview: Marie Stephens, 101 years old, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was born on March 26, 1921 in Adair County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Oscar and Laura Alley Smiley. Marie was also preceded in death by her husband, C.C. Stephens in 2001.
In her spare time, Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, going to garage sales, gardening and playing Bingo. Marie is survived by three children: J.C. Stephens, Charlotte (Bob) Streib and Shelly Stephens. Three grandchildren: Ronnie Denham, Tammy Kitterman and Shelby Moore, several great and great-great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews, one sister Jean Quinn of Columbia, KY and two brothers Bobby Smiley of Indiana and Phillip Smiley (Brenda) of Campbellsville, KY.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters Mable Smiley Burton and Doris Smiley, two brothers Demaree and Eldred Smiley and a grandson Scotty Stephens. A special thank you to the hospice staff of Intrepid USA for all of your continued support and help during this difficult time.
I am not truly gone, if you keep me in your heart. I’ll forever be alive, and we’ll never have to part. Light shines from my soul, embraces your weeping heart. Love lasts forever.

Carol leaves behind two daughters Lisa Kohlbacher (Tim Bradford) and Debra (Frank) Cerjak of Indianapolis, and 6 grandchildren Sarah (Dan) Stigleman, Jakob (Ashley) Kohlbacher, Mandi Priest, Marri (Jason) Hampton, Michele (Scott) Summers and Victoria (Jon) Amrozowicz and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, her beloved stepfather Joseph Kennedy, brothers Michael Claffey and Dan Barker, sisters Nikki Hundley, Nancy Phillips and Phyllis Bobbitt, her son Butch Carrico Jr., son-in-law Philip Kohlbacher and grandsons Daniel Philip Stigleman and Haddon James Hampton.
Carol was a self-employed manicurist for over 35 years. She loved the beach, music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was very loving and accepting of everyone she met. She loved people. Carol lived life to the absolute fullest. She ran hard and defied every odd put in front of her. Carol lived with cancer for 11 years and lupus for over 30 years. She was truly a warrior. Her beautiful, vibrant, sassy presence will be missed by all.

Don was born on January 3, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald Emil Wechsler and Loretta Thomas (Bustle) Wechsler. He was raised by Loretta and George (dad) Thomas in Whiteland, Indiana. He lived most of his life with his family in Whiteland. Donald worked as a Dental Technician for 46 years and was well known from many Dental Laboratories in Indiana. He loved his family dearly and his children Tonia and Donnie meant the world to him. He taught them love and it was passed down to all of his loving family. Love was very important to him but he also loved laughing and being ornery. He always had a funny comment and if he had “the look” with slit eyes, we knew he didn’t like something but he always would put a smile on anyone’s face. He was a big dog lover; Schnauzer’s and Scotties. He had many throughout his life. His current dog, “Maggie Mae” was his pride and joy <3 He loved camping/traveling with Alan and family with many outdoor activities. Most all of his time was spent with his family.
Donald is survived by a family that loved him dearly; His spouse, Oscar (Alan\Alno) Weekly of 31 years. His daughter, Tonia Lynn Land (Wechsler) and spouse, Benjamin. His Son, Donald (Donnie) Lee Wechsler, Jr. and spouse Tammy. Donald had 7 grandchildren; Tonia’s children, Dylan (26) and Madelynn (Maddi) (13). Donnie’s children, Brittany (27), Brandon (25), Logan (24), Liam (12) and Brylee (7). He has 7 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. His Daughter, Tonia is soon to be a first time Grandmother. He will be missed dearly, we love you dad and we will be strong for you and raise our children\grandchildren from your love and dedication to us. We love you more than life dad, until we see you again, Love Tonia and Donnie. Don was my life, love, companion and support. Love, Alan. He was the core of our family and was a blessing to us all <3

On February 8, 1964 she married the love of her life, Thomas Eugene Oswalt, whom survives. She had been employed by State Farm Insurance, Sarge BIltz Restaurant, and retired after many years for Crop Production Services. In her spare time Sharon enjoyed Euchre, flowers, bird watching, Purdue Sports and wintering in Florida.
In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Tamela (Patrick) Duncan of Greenwood, Indiana and Tracy (Steven) Powell of Henderson, Kentucky; her two grandsons, Bradley (Jessica) Oswalt of Columbus, Indiana and Tyler Duncan of Greenwood, Indiana; her two great-granddaughters, Eloise and Charlotte Oswalt of Columbus, Indiana; her brother, Brian (Marla) DeFreese of West Point, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Burt and William (Bill) DeFreese.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 9, 2022 at the DeFreese Family Farm.

She attended Howe High School, Indianapolis. She married Everett Guy Smith on December 23, 1959. They had 6 children: Jeanne, Jerry, Jim, Jon (Terri), Judy, Jennifer (Jeff) McDaniel, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren with another arriving in July. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking them on trips, local adventures, and having fun-filled sleepovers in her home. She enjoyed traveling with Guy to Florida to spend time with family and friends. Sue was a talented and creative floral artist. She was also heavily involved in church activities and attended Shelby Street Lighthouse church. She had a heart for the elderly. She obtained her Activities Director Certification and ran a nursing home ministry for many years. She kept an open door to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Dorothy Jean (O’Neal) Sterrett, brother Ray O’Neal, her daughter Jeanne Stahl and her son Jerry Smith.
A visitation will be held from 11 AM until 12 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Jessen & Keller Funeral Home located at 729 N. US Hwy. 31 Whiteland, IN 46184. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Patricia, known as “Pat” and “Trish” by those she loved, was born August 21, 1948 to Leroy and Effie (Hornaday) Barnes in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Early in her life, Patricia was a beautician until she decided she wanted to become a registered nurse. Patricia got her registered nurse license and soon took for Cancun where she worked for several years as an RN. Patricia returned to Indiana and would start working for Methodist Hospital where she retired several years ago. Patricia loved and was proud of being a registered nurse.
Patricia is survived by three siblings, Diana Phelps (George), James Barnes, and Leroy Barnes, Jr. (Shirley), and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jonathan, and sisters Linda Kermode and Karen Rose.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with family and friends.

Obituary Preview: Howard E. Kirchenbauer, 63, of Aurora, IN, passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on March 4, 2022. Howard was born on January 6, 1959, in Baltimore, MD to the late Robert L. & Judith E. (Stone) Kirchenbauer. The family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where they lived for 11 years, then moved to Indianapolis in 1972. He graduated from Perry Meridian High School and Central Nine Career Center in 1977. He worked as Purchasing and Detailing supervisor for National Car Sales until 2007 and then continued involvement in the photography and sales fields. Howard specialized in automobile photography, working with the Pace Car Program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as being a member of the Camaro Club with published articles in the Camaro publication, and retired from employment in 2020. Howard was currently working on a book titled Indy 500 Pace Cars, published by CarTech Publishing.
Howard was responsible for cleaning, detailing, and transporting the Indy 500 pace cars from National Car Sales to IMS where he and a crew of friends would stage the cars for photoshoots as well as the introduction lap for the drivers on race day. He worked closely with IMS Officials on each of the races to ensure the cars were ready for the VIP’s and race day festivities. Anyone who knew Howard, knew he strove for perfection in everything. The tenacity at which he approached most everything in his life was tireless, but something that defined every aspect of his world.
Howard’s hobbies included photography of local events, selling photography on fineart.com, diecast pace car reproductions, collecting and selling Indy 500 memorabilia, listening to music, collecting stereo equipment, creating video of pace car photography, and local band promotion photography. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Brenda, and family, he loved his family very much. Howard and Brenda enjoyed traveling to visit extended family as well as sight-seeing trips through parts of the Midwest.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Kirchenbauer, and Judith E. Kirchenbauer, brother-in-law David M. Colpitts and nephew Joshua N. Littleton.
Survivors include Children: Saundra Kirchenbauer, Ashley Johansen (Johann), Emily Dowell (Jessup). Grandchildren: Liliana Johansen, Elijah Johansen, Ember Dowell. Siblings: Robert F. Kirchenbauer, Russell Kirchenbauer (August Galluzzo), Linda L. Colpitts, Forrest C. Kirchenbauer (Vickie A.) Lisa A. Littleton (Martin J.), Laurel S. Burtner (Dale W.). Nieces and Nephews. And Miss Kitty.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Suburban Baptist Church, 722 E. County Line Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227; graveside service to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Morgantown Road, Greenwood, Indiana.

Elsie enjoyed reminiscing old times, hosting tea parties with her grandchildren, and an avid sport’s fan supporting the Pacers and the Colts. She was a lifelong member of Edgewood United Methodist Church. Elsie was known as the ‘Avon Lady’ in Greenwood, IN and later employed at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL and Hooks in Indianapolis in which she retired from. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Louis T. “Ted” Aeschliman.  Elsie will be remembered for her kindness and compassion to others and her faithful service to God.  Memorials may be made to Edgewood United Methodist Church.
