He was born on October 8, 1947 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Buford “Cub” and Elsie (Rice) Hilgert, who preceded him in death. He would meet and marry the love of his life, Shirley Camden. They would remain married for over fifty years.
Dennis was a 1965 graduate from Jefferson City High School. He was a member of the United States Army and was in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent making memories with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Hilgert; sons, Rick Hilgert (April), Joe Hilgert; brothers-in-law, Ben Camden, Steve Camden (Delane); sisters-in-law, Julie Keating, Liz Francis (Jim), Mary Philbert (James); grandchildren, Sierra Hilgert, Graysen Hilgert; as well as, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 15, 1956 in Jefferson City, MO to the late Harold (Pete) & Rosalie (Kempker) Siebeneck. Dave was a 1974 graduate of Blair Oaks High School in Wardsville, MO
Following in his father’s footsteps he spent his whole career working as Bakery Manager at Schulte’s Fresh Foods (home of the best donuts in Jefferson City) until his health forced him into retirement, he loved visiting with customers at the Bakery, Dave never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He also worked as a baker at multiple Schulte’s IGA stores in Jefferson City and Columbia as well as working at Nowells Foods.
Dave was united in marriage on September 24, 1983 to Diane Schulte and to this union their beautiful daughter Rebecca (Reba) was born. Family meant everything to Dave, he enjoyed most of all spending time with Reba, Joe, and his granddaughters Zoey and Ainsley. He enjoyed watching the granddaughters participate in sports as well as other activities and their many trips as a family to Silver Dollar City. He took great pride in driving the granddaughters, nieces, and nephews around the farm on his side by side.
Dave loved watching the St Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs games. He also enjoyed the camping & fishing trips with his brothers and family. He always had to plan camping trips around National Donut Day in June, because he always strived to set the record for selling the most donuts in 24 hours on that day.
Dave was active in community service; he was an active member with the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed donating his time in helping with the breakfasts making biscuits as well as helping on Bingo days. He donated donuts to Cystic Fibrosis Hoof-a-Thon, and the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Survivors include Diane Siebeneck; one loving daughter Rebecca (Reba) (Siebeneck) Leonard (Joe); two granddaughters, Zoey Leonard & Ainsley Leonard. Two sisters Jeanne Nystrom (Tommy), Sandy Lutz (Jeff); three brothers John Siebeneck (Melody), Charlie Siebeneck (Robyn) & Mike Siebeneck (Jeralyn). Numerous nieces and nephews and tons of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold (Pete) & Rosalie (Kempker) Siebeneck; sisters Mary Rose Davis & Linda Lehmen; brothers Harold Siebeneck Jr. & Joseph Siebeneck; Maternal Grandparents John & Mary Kempker, Paternal Grandparents Frank & Claire Siebeneck.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Houser Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City with a Prayer Service beginning at 1:15 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at St Margaret’s Catholic Church in Osage Bend at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 6, 2024, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m., before mass begins.
Burial will be in St Margaret’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Association and American Kidney Fund.

Robert Francis Schepker - March 07, 1937 - May 01, 2024

Obituary Preview: Bob Schepker, 87 of Jefferson City passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born in Frog Hollow, Cole County, just west of Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of the late Frank and Louise (Wallendorf) Schepker, who preceded him in death. On October 10, 1959, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Eynard in Bonnets Mills, Missouri, they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Bob was graduate of St. Peter High School.
He was enlisted in the US Army Reserves from 1958 to 1964. He retired from the State of Missouri after 42 years of service.
Bob was an original member of the Cole County Volunteer Fire Department, serving many years. His children have fond memories of the special ring tone indicating that something was on fire somewhere in the county. He was a member of the American Legion Post #5, a member of the DAV post #17. Bob and Mary Ann were members of St. Joseph Cathedral Parish for over 60 years.
Bob loved wood working and made many projects for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed trout fishing, playing cards, and watching St. Louis Cardinals.
Bob is survived by his sons Mark Schepker (Debbie) of Edgewood, Washington, Keith Schepker (Nina) of Linn, Missouri, and his daughter Sandy (Sam) Oborny (David) of Marion, Kansas, his sister Alice Wekenborg, sister-in-law Elaine Steele; grandchildren, Dustin, Nathan, Morgan, Emma and Jacob Schepker, Tom, Tabitha, and Greg Oborny. He will also be deeply missed by his rescue cat Sofi. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Schepker, his son Greg Schepker and one brother Jack Schepker.
A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Friends and Family will be received following the prayer service from 4 to 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Cathedral of St. Joseph on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10 am with Rev. Msgr. Robert Kurwicki, V.G. officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum with full military honors.

Rosemary Bishop - April 07, 1936 - April 28, 2024

Obituary Preview: Rosemary Veronica Boeckmann Wolken Bishop, age 88, formerly of Centertown, MO, passed away on April 28, 2024 at Dolan Memory Care Homes, Frontier House in St. Louis, MO.
Rosemary was born on April 7, 1936, at Koeltztown, in Osage County, a daughter of Stephen Henry “Steve” and Adelheide (Luebbert) Boeckmann, both now deceased. She was one of 13 children. She attended St Boniface Catholic Schools in Koelztown. Upon graduation in 8th grade, she went to work to help support the family farm. She later went back to school and attained her high school equivalency on December 4, 1979.
Rosemary was united in marriage on June 20, 1959, at St Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, to Martin Louis Wolken, and to this union, three children were born. Martin preceded her in death on August 28, 2000.
Rosemary was then united in marriage on October 9, 2004 at St Martins Catholic Church, Jefferson City, to Ray McDonald Bishop. Ray preceded her in death on January 16, 2015.
She was a member of St Martin's Catholic Church and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Rosemary enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and sewing clothing for her family (especially for the grandchildren). She took great pride in creating baby quilts for donation to the annual church picnic. She continued to create quilts until illness prevented her. Rosemary enjoyed gardening, music, dancing, BBQ, beer and margaritas. She was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed watching baseball, preferring the Kansas City Royals over the St Louis Cardinals. Rosemary quipped upon moving to St Louis that she would have to learn to watch the Cardinals and she did.
Rosemary worked her entire life. She worked at various shoe factories in the Jefferson City area. She also worked at the Scholastic and Chesebrough Ponds plants in Jefferson City. At one point, Rosemary drove a school bus for Sitton Bus Company, with her own children as passengers. Upon receiving her GED, Rosemary was employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Revenue, Division of Taxation and Collection, Personal Tax until she retired on April 30, 2004.
Rosemary is survived by her three children-Diane Wolken Helton, Ballwin, Charles "Chuck" Wolken (Karen), Lansing KS and Eugene "Gene" Wolken (Maria), Raytown. She is also survived by six grandchildren-Elizabeth Helton (Greg Daniels), O'Fallon, MO, Mary Kathryn Wolken, Minneapolis, MN, Alexander Helton, Ballwin, John Wolken, Lansing, KS, Paul Wolken and Luke Wolken, Raytown. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Rosalie Daniels, O'Fallon, MO.
Rosemary is also survived by two sisters-Viola Weber (Elmer) Westphalia, Anna Marie Reinkemeyer (William “Bill”) Jefferson City and one brother, Arthur Boeckmann, Wardsville. She is survived by two sisters in law Agnes Uplinger and Jo Wolken. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their offspring.
In addition to her two husbands and parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by seven brothers, Alphonse Boeckmann (Clara), Lawrence Boeckmann (Emma), Victor Boeckmann (Marjorie) , Joseph Boeckmann (Gertrude and Ann), Herbert Boeckmann (Bernice), Raymond Boeckmann, and David Boeckmann (Esther); two sisters, Monica Bruemmer (Anton Bisges) and Frances Schwartze (Fred); one sister in law, Helen Boeckmann; and one son in law, A. Thomas "Bud" Helton. She was also preceded in death by several nieces and nephews-Philip Wolken, Joyce Wolken Evers, Mark and Becky Wolken, Susan Boeckmann Mertens and Wayne Boeckmann.
Friends will be received for visitation at 10 a.m. with Mass following at 11 a.m. at St Martins Catholic Church, 7148 St. Martins Blvd., Jefferson City, MO 65109 on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Interment will be in the St Martins Catholic Cemetery.

George was born on July 11, 1949 in Fulton, Missouri, the son of Rex and Betty (Tombs) Reynolds who preceded him in death. He grew up in Callaway County, and attended New Bloomfield Schools. George served his Country in the United States Navy. He was married to the love of his life Sandy Stafford for 56 years.
George enjoyed spending time with his family whether it be fishing, baseball games, working or piddling as he would say, in the yard or on his tractor. He started his career in 1973 with Westinghouse retired from ABB in 2015 and worked part-time after retirement for ABB/Hitachi.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sandy Reynolds; 3 children, Tammy Baker (Scott), Tara Koelling (Michael), and Josh Reynolds (Ashleigh); grandchildren, Tyler, Alec, Tiffani, Chase, Alyssa, Madi, Azlynn, and Jax; great-grandchildren, Jace, Tatum, Rexton, Emery, and Rowan; brother, Doyle Reynolds (Beth); and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris Reynolds, and brother, Wayne Reynolds.

She was born on April 18, 1940, in Taos, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elmer H. and Lidwina C. (Veltrop) Wekenborg. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Haslag on August 1, 1959, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.
She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Elementary School. Barbara was first employed at Woolworth’s Department store in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was a lifelong homemaker and devoted her life to raising her children. She later owned Barbara’s Flower Arrangements, and a daycare center until she retired in 2001.
Barbara enjoyed visiting family and friends, dancing, fishing, and singing with LeRoy.
She is survived by her five children: DeWayne Haslag and his wife Kim of Holts Summit, Daniel Haslag and his wife Kathy of Diamondhead, Mississippi, Debra Taylor and her husband Vernon of Ogden, Iowa, Darrin Haslag and his wife Angela of Taos, and Carrie Haslag of Jefferson City; ten grandchildren: Eric Haslag and wife Melissa, Ryan Haslag, Erin Haslag, Jake Haslag, Nick Haslag, Maddie Haslag, Derek Taylor and his wife Katie, Kenley Haslag, Scott Haslag, and Kylie Wells; three great grandchildren: Hunter Haslag, Tristan Haslag and Carter Haslag; one sister, Carol Feltrop; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Haslag; brother, James Wekenborg and two sisters, Anna Marie Schell and Marilyn Bruns.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 3, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Taos. A celebration of life for both Barbara and LeRoy will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his parents; father, Bart Elles; mother, Shannon Gilchrist (Thomas); brothers, Jay, Sam, William, and Eli Elles; sisters, Isabelle Elles, Nora Gilchrist; maternal grandparent, Judy Griggs; paternal grandparents, Bart Elles Sr. and Kathy Tucker-Nolan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Griggs.
A private service will be held for the family.

Terry grew up in Kewanee, Illinois and attended Wethersfield High School. Terry was a welder at John Deere and after 30 years he retired. Terry appreciated meeting new people and having family get-togethers.
Terry loved nature, and never passed up a joy ride through a beautiful park. Terry enjoyed antique cars and car shows, Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the local Buzzards Biker Group.
He is survived by his two daughters, Terri Greene (Tom) of Holts Summitt, Missouri and Kristine Baldwin (Jake) of Manchester, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Nakole (Brandon) Wooley, John Hill, Jacob Hill, Paige Baldwin and Kaden Baldwin, and 10 Great grandchildren. Numerous extended family and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parent’s Floyd and Burnetta (Newkirk) Nichols; brother, Barry Nichols and grandson, Jared Hill.
A graveside inurnment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Wethersfield Cemetery in Kewanee, Illinois.

Teresa enjoyed painting figurines, playing card games, camping and fishing trips with her husband, and babysitting. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her son, Zachary Davis of Jefferson City, Austin Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Felicia Majersky of Jefferson City; brother, Joe Majersky; sister, Sharon Raider. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Majersky.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with burial at a later date. Officiating the service will be Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, V.G.

Obituary Preview: Ernest “Bud” D. York, 83, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1940 in Pulaski County, Missouri, the son of the late Emmer and Ella (Storie) York.
Bud was a graduate of Plato High School in Plato, Missouri who went on to further his education at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri where he obtained a master’s degree. In 1960 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for 25 years until his retirement in 1985. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Bud began working as a professor at Lincoln University teaching computer classes for the next 29 years until his full retirement in 2015. On August 1, 1980 he was united in marriage to Sieglinde Simak, she survives at their home. Throughout the years Bud enjoyed attending horse races, running, swimming at the YMCA, fishing, reading the daily newspaper and doing crosswords, and absolutely loved his dogs. Teaching was his passion in life, but nothing exceeded his love for his family and he thoroughly cherished each and every moment spent with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sieglinde; son, Gary York; sisters, Loretta Khan, Katherine Dowden; grandchildren Madison Salerno (Justin); great grandchild, Theo Salerno; sister-in-law, Linda York; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Dean York and Robert Eugene York; nephew, Private Craig Vandegriffe (Missouri National Guard).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 10:00 a.m. Idumea Baptist Church (25975 Sherwood Lane, Laquey, Missouri, 65534) with full military honors.

Obituary Preview: William Lewis “Bill” Wieners, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on April 16, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Fred W. and Georgia Pearl (Stoneberger) Wieners, who preceded him in death. Bill graduated from Licking High School class of 1952.
He met the love of his life, Mary Rachel Wilson, in Flat, Missouri, and married on October 12, 1953. Bill worked as a salesman-driver for Coca Cola Bottling Co. and Hiland Dairy. In 1967 he went to work for Chesebrough-Ponds (Unilever Corp), retiring from the warehouse in 1992. Bill was a faithful member of Solid Rock Church where he was a member of the Kingsman Fellowship, held a position on the church board for 29 plus years and served as Sunday school superintendent for 20 years.
He and Mary enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, 7 countries in Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. They also enjoyed Sunday drives and especially seeing the fall foliage. Bill enjoyed bowling, reading his newspaper daily, following the LA Dodgers, and watching television, particularly game shows.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his 4 daughters, Elaine Pherigo (Sam) of Jefferson City, Patty Tuttle of Clarksburg, Beverly Verdot (Harold) of Eldon, Kay Finnell (Mark) of Jefferson City, and daughter-in-law, Sue Burkhart; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren on the way; He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wieners; son, William L. Wieners, Jr.; great-great-granddaughter, Lucy Marie; and son-in-law, Charles Tuttle.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Solid Rock Family Church with Celebration of Life beginning at 12:00 p.m. with the Reverend Joe Skiles officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Obituary Preview: Edwin Lee Childers, Jr., 86, of Holts Summit, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital with his loving wife Nelda by his side. He was born on May 13, 1937 in Okemah, Oklahoma, the son of R.L. and Ora (Percy) Childers, who preceded him in death.
Ed served his country in the United States Airforce retiring in April 1979, after 22 years of service and obtaining the rank of Master Sergent. Once he retired from the Air Force, he went to Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO earning a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. Ed then worked as Probation Officer for Johnson County, MO, until he retired in May of 2003. On June 13, 2003 he married Nelda Goff in Jefferson City, Missouri. He enjoyed watching TV, mowing and tending to his yard. Ed was very proud of his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Childers of Holts Summit, MO; 2 sons, Edwin L. Childers, Jr. of Knob Noster, MO and Robert Childers (Michelle) of Independence, MO, step son; Kevin Goff of Holts Summit, MO; grandchildren, Kyle Goff (Emilie) of Excelsior Springs, MO and Amanda Goff of Liberty, MO; great grandchildren, Lukah Goff and Eli Goff; along with several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by wife, Janice Childers; parents; and brothers, Tilman Childers and Gene Childers.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.

Anne M. Feig Cassady, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on April 18, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 9, 1949 in Mason City, Iowa, the only child born to the late Wallace Charles and LaRuth (Heidt) Feig. Anne settled in Jefferson City, Missouri where she built a life filled with love, joy, and countless cherished memories.
Her family was her greatest source of happiness and inspiration. Anne had a zest for life and loved her time with her family and friends at the Lake of the Ozarks and on the beaches of Destin, Florida. She loved holidays, especially Christmas, where many treasured memories were made every year. She treasured her friendships and loved her family more than anything else.
Throughout her life, Anne accomplished so much in the midst of enjoying life. She dedicated 36 years of her professional career as a realtor in Jefferson City, Missouri where she made many friends who became family. She received the Board of Realtors Lifetime Award as she loved her job and loved helping people. Anne was a member of the Elks Lodge #513, being recognized as the first lady Elk in the state of Missouri, American Legion Post 5, Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 2693, American Veterans and was a member of the Central United Church of Christ.
Anne is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Cassady, two daughters, Julie Boehm Corrigan (Chris) and Leah Boehm Peebles (Mike), one step-son, Jay Cassady (Barbara), and one step-daughter, Cindy Nevins (Glenn). Anne was the grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was able to spend quality time with them over the years celebrating many proud moments in their lives. She is also survived by her precious furry friend, Coach.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Mary Cassady and step-son, Jeffrey Cassady.
Family and friends will be received at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Aaron Baker officiating. A private burial for the family will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Powell, he preceded her in death on August 13, 2016.
Carole was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School in Kansas City and attended Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, making bridesmaid’s dresses and altering clothing. Carole liked to volunteer for Calvary’s Gift. Traveling with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild were some of her greatest joys in her life.
She is survived by her children: Michael P. Powell of Laurie, Donald K. Powell (Melissa) of Jefferson City and Sheri D. Kroll (David) of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Brett Rucker, Kelci Kroll, Maxwell Kroll and Lance Powell; great-grandchild: Dax Kroll; and Donna Logan of Overland Park, Kansas, who was closer to her than a sister. Along with her parents and husband, Carole was preceded in death by her brother: Dennis Lindley.
Family and friends will be received on May 3, 2024 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a visitation. His passion in life was taking others under his wing and being a mentor to them.

Matteson of St. Louis; daughter, Annastasia Matteson of Villa Ridge; mother Annie Matteson of Breckenridge Hills, brothers; Roy Matteson and Mark Matteson both of St. Louis; sisters, Pam Golden (Denny) Debbie Matteson, and Lisa Emory (Donny) all of St. Louis; good friends, Bob and Gail Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was a graduate from Fatima High School in Westphalia, Missouri. She worked as a Legislative Secretary, Executive Secretary at Missouri League for Nursing, Executive Director at Missouri Funeral Directors Association, and after retirement she worked part time for FEMA. She was active in 4-H, was a member of the St Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, as well as, a member of the Madonna Chapter of Immaculata Club. Grace enjoyed traveling with her husband. This included cruises, motorhome trips, and trips abroad. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, genealogy research, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Grace was outgoing, full of laughter, and will be greatly missed.

Bonnie enjoyed reading, oil painting, playing games with her grandchildren, attending arts and craft shows. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Columbia.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Waite (Jeff) of Columbia, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Rick White of Las Vegas; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret White; loving husband, Dale Hempelmann; daughter, Briana Cady; son, Kirk Hempelmann; and brother, Jerry White.

Obituary Preview: Linda M. Wilson, 78, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on November 27, 1945 in San Francisco, California, the daughter of the late Marvin H. and Maxine (Okrusch) Didier. On July 9, 1998, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Wilson in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, he preceded her in death.
In 1967 Linda married Philip Chambers, they had one child. They divorced but remained close until Philip passed in 2021.
Linda was a graduate of Marsing High School in Marsing, Idaho where she played sports and was a cheerleader. In her working career, she worked for Scheperle Construction, was a secretary at DeLong’s Steel and retired from the State of Missouri, Dept. of Revenue where she was a Staff Audit Reviewer. Linda loved to travel with her husband, family and close friends to various locations; Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, but Gulf Shores Alabama was one of her favorite destinations. She enjoyed shopping and was a very classy and elegant dresser. She was always a very humorous woman with plenty of wit and repartee. Linda also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, house plants, Alabama College Football and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She heartily enjoyed feeding the stray cats outside of her residence, as well as caring for her two indoor cats; Tili and Milo. She was preceded in death by her previous cats; Tigger, Pickles, and Lolli. Her all-time favorite thing was being ‘Nena’ to her granddaughter, Cianne.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Chambers (Bill Branson) of Jefferson City; granddaughter: Cianne Chambers (Kaleb Thompson) of Jefferson City; friends: Sharon and Kent Topliff of Springfield, Missouri as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. with Fr. Ignazio Medina officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, son: Michael Joseph Jones (Sharon) of Sequin, Texas; grandsons: Mike and Mathies Jones of Texas; step-children: Tom Heath of Eldon, Pam Tellman of Kaiser, Dawn Oberg (Steve) of Kaiser, Kathy Broeder (Kirk) of Rocky Mount, and Vicki Jason (Jeffery) of Dallas, Texas; and friend: Jean Jones of Florida. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, son: Mark David Jones; brother: David Samuel Jones and sister; Judy Jones.

Obituary Preview: Erman C.A. Loesch, 94, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Heisinger Bluffs surrounded by his family. He was born on February 5, 1930 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Otto and Emma (Bratschi) Loesch.
Erman met the love of his life, Dorothy Mohr, and the two were married on April 22, 1956. Erman was a man of God. He was baptized on February 23, 1930 and was Confirmed on April 14, 1946 both at St. John Lutheran Church in Stringtown. He attended school at the Corinth School and St. John’s Lutheran School. In 1951 he was drafted and served his country in the United States Army obtaining the rank of Corporal, he was stationed in Panama during the Korean War. He worked as a farmer, painter and carpenter. Erman was known as an all-around great guy. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City serving as Elder, as well as serving in many other capacities of the Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Loesch of Jefferson City, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Marvin Theroff, Larry Theroff, Melvin Loesch (Marjorie), Ruth Ann Klatt (Ron), Glenn Loesch (Carol), Carol Sue Fischer (Dale), Debbie Rodden (Brian), and Daryl Erhart (Angela); 24 great nieces and nephews; 34 great great nieces and nephews; and 6 great great great nieces and nephews. Erman was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Emma Loesch; siblings, Clarence Loesch, Edna Zehender, Nelda Theroff, and Valeda Erhart; and nephew, Clyde Theroff and great nephew, Gabriel Loesch.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a Visitation with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with Pastor Sam Powell and Pastor Jesse Schlie of Trinity Lutheran, officiating. Roderick "Roddy" Otto Bruns, - April 08, 1922 - March 30, 2024

Obituary Preview: Roderick (Roddy) Otto Bruns, age 101 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Community surrounded by family.
Roddy was born on April 8, 1922, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of Joseph Henry and Emma Marie (Schnieders) Bruns. He was married on May 25, 1963, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Patricia Ann Wisch who preceded him in death on February 12, 1993. He was later married to Gertrude (Trudy) Graeser-Tegethoff on April 22, 1995, at St. Peter Catholic Church who survives at Primrose Retirement Community.
A life-long resident of Jefferson City, Roddy attended St. Peter Grade School, was a 1940 graduate of St. Peter High School and proud to be a charter member of the St. Peter band where he played the trumpet. Roddy graduated from the North American Sheet Metal School, located in Kansas City, Missouri in 1942. In January 2016, Roddy was awarded the St. Peter School Distinguished Alumni award at the age of 93.
He enlisted in the United States Navy in November 1942 and was honorably discharged in April 1946 after spending two years of that time in Milne Bay, New Guinea.
Roddy was employed for 40 years with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department in the Materials and Research Division, retiring in 1988. After his retirement he worked part-time for Westlake Ace Hardware from 1988 – 1992. In 1997 he began working part-time as a funeral assistant with Millard Family Funeral Chapels until his retirement after 15 years in 2012 at the age of 90.
Roddy was a life-long member of St. Peter Catholic Church, a member and past-President of the St. Peter Catholic Church Choir and Chorale from 1946-2012. He was a member of the St. Peters Men’s Association, Ave Maria Rosary Group and charter member of St. Peter Perpetual Adoration. He was also a member of the Dan C. Coppin Assembly Knights of Columbus (Grand Knight in 1952), Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Missouri State Highway Employees Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Roddy enjoyed many years of bowling on the Fechtel Beverage bowling team, watching Cardinal Baseball, traveling, music and singing. One of his fondest memories was going on the Central Missouri Honor Flight with fellow WWII veterans. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His loving family includes: two sons, Michael Joseph and Terrence Andrew (Connie) of Jefferson City, Missouri. Two granddaughters, Regan Patricia of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Molly Caroline of Lawrence, Kansas. Four step-children, Stephen Tegethoff (Manette) of Tomball, Texas, Sue Kuebler (Wayne) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Michael Tegethoff (Carol) of Houston, Texas, and Mary Schultz (Rick) of Kansas City, Kansas. Eight grandchildren, Renee West (Jeff), Chelle Meeks (Travis), Jennifer Surber (Chris), Sam Schultz (Lauren), Stacey Schultz, Sarah Mugavero (Joe), Megan Spencer (Josh) and Jessica Glende (Kris), and sixteen great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Karen Wisch and Jane Wisch, both of Jefferson City, Missouri. Brothers-in-law, Bryan Berry of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and Jim Wisch (Susie) of Jefferson City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Roddy was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Bruns and Irene Heidrich, two brothers, Frederick and Howard Bruns, two sisters-in-law, Mary Berry and Marie Bruns and three brothers-in-law, Ted Heidrich, Tom Wisch and Bob Wisch; step-siblings, Frank (Millie) Graeser, Helen (Bill) Dintleman and Mary Ann (George) Fischer.
Family and friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter with Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, VG officiating. Obituary Preview: Charles Morris, 94, of Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born on February 9, 1930, in Jefferson City, Missouri, son of Joseph and Elizabeth “Elsie” (Johannesmeyer) Morris.
Charles met the love of his life Fedwa Kalaf, and the two were married April 14, 1956 in Meta, Missouri until her passing on March 20, 2017. He graduated from St. Peters High School in 1948 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Charles joined the United States Army in 1948 where he earned his paratrooper and glider wings. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne and of the American Legion. Charles worked for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Dept from 1953 until he retired in 1990 as a planning office manager. He enjoyed crappie fishing, especially staying at their trailer on Truman Lake, and taking trips to Toledo Bend, Louisiana. He also enjoyed people, organizing BBQ’s, researching his genealogy, and had a love for music especially big bands.
Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Julie Morris of the home; two sons, James Morris and Jason Morris (Dana) all of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Sabrina West (Brett), Mikayla Morris (Aaron Burnett), Logan Morris, and Jadyn Morris; great-granddaughter, Charlotte West; two sisters, Helen Shiverdecker of Phoenix, AZ and Alice Shelton of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elsie Morris; wife, Fedwa Morris; son, John Morris, two sisters, Margaret Eads (Stan) and Joann Schwermer (Lawrence).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew J. Flatley. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Samaritan Center.

Obituary Preview: Virginia Belle “Nicky” Nichols Kinderis, died at her home in Holts Summit, Missouri on March 27, 2024 after a long illness. Nicky was born January 18, 1951 to Ruby Myrene Sundermeyer and George Deuard Nichols in Callaway County, Missouri, they proceeded her in death.
Nicky attended Jefferson City Public Schools graduating from High School in 1968. She received her Bachelor Degree in Physical Education from Lincoln University. Nicky worked for the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department as a youth sports manager for many years. Nicky married Donatas Kinderis, December 13, 1985 and moved to the State of Washington around the Quilcene area in the 1990s. Donatas and Nicky worked many different jobs while moving around the area experiencing life in the beautiful North West of the United States. Donatas and Nicky sailed on the Pacific Ocean for a time on their ship Koreanna, Nicky greatly enjoyed the experience.
Donatas passed away in 2005 at their home in Quilcene, Washington. Nicky’s Mom, Ruby Nichols, moved from Holts Summit to Quilcene to live with Nicky, garden, keep the house up, and spend time with Nicky. Nicky’s last profession was working with patient billing at the Poulsbo, Washington Hospital. Nicky retired in 2014 and moved back to the Holts Summit area in 2015. Nicky’s favorite holiday was Christmas, she enjoyed creating handmade ornaments to display on her Christmas trees. Nicky was devoted to her mother just as her mother was devoted to her, Nicky lived about 4 months after her mother’s death.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Slater-Millard Funeral Home in Holts Summit, Missouri.
