Tyler A Boose - September 06, 2002 - March 31, 2024

Departed: 03/31/2024 (Hillsborough Township)
Obituary Preview: On March 31st, Tyler Boose, 21, from Hillsborough, NJ, a senior student at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, died suddenly while pursuing one of his many favorite outdoor activities. Although that day and other days he’d jumped safely into the inviting swimming hole, this time, he landed wrong, his heart stopped, and he was gone.
Tyler’s mother, Karen Tamulaites Boose, father Jeffrey Boose, brother Brendan, sisters Emily and Jillian, grandmother Linda Tamulaites, grandfather Wayne Boose, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his ever-present German short-haired pointer, Cooper, mourn his loss as they work through the unreality of this tragic accident. Tyler is pre-deceased by his grandfather Charles Tamulaites and grandmother Adele Boose.
Born in Somerville, NJ, on September 6th, 2002, Tyler launched into the world with a smirk a mile wide and the enduring nickname Ty Ty. Through his school years club and high school baseball occupied much of his and his family’s time as he grew into a wonderful grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and stalwart friend. His baseball career ended on a high when he was named starting pitcher his senior year at the team’s final game before high school graduation. His baseball years created another nickname, Smiley, as he was the happy one of the group, met new people easily, and in general tried to create an environment of positivity around him. Tyler was that young man who would enter a room of strangers and leave with a roomful of friends.
Golf was Tyler’s sporting focus as he entered college, and he was named onto the USC club golf team. Although his double major (BS Finance with a concentration in business analytics and BS Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship) kept him busy with studies, Tyler decided his junior year was the perfect time to get a dog much to the chagrin of family and ecstatic support of friends. Cooper and the responsibility for another life he required, however, became the foundation upon which Tyler was transitioning into his next life.
While Cooper, family, and friends were his living passions, flying was becoming his life’s passion as he started putting in the flight time to become a private then commercial pilot. He would have been a great pilot his family realized once they understood the level of his commitment and drive to succeed.
Ty Ty, Smiley, Tyler made a huge impression on his world during his all-too-short life. Whether ripping around the back yard on his motorcycle tearing up the grass he declined to mow, maneuvering for a car he really couldn’t afford but loved, patiently urging his grandmother up a Hawaiian mountain while saying “Grandmummy you don’t look so good,” training a hyper pointer to be his best friend, and enjoying time in the outdoors with whomever would go with him, Tyler packed more life into his 21 years than most do in decades.
Though always on the go Tyler would often reach out to his family and his mom via facetime. With his broad smile filling the screen the conversation started with “Hi mom, I love you.” If friends were with him, he’d spin the phone and ask them all to say hi to his mom and then catch her up on the latest events in his active life. “Bye mom, I love you,” were always the last words spoken.
There will be a visitation, Friday, April 5, from 4pm to 8pm, at Mary Mother of God church in Hillsborough NJ, ending with a prayer.
