On June 6, 1952, she was born in Bardstown, KY, to the late Joseph Stephen Clark and Betty Pearl Hardin Clark. She met the love of her life Roy Lee Long, who survives in Elizabethtown, KY, while working as an assistant librarian after a brief courtship they married on July 7, 1972. Beckie was a homemaker, a job she cherished each day. However, her family was her pride and joy. She was also a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Roy Lee Long, of Scottsville, KY, she is survived by one son; Chris Long, of Scottsville, KY; and one daughter; Toni Burnham and husband, Cliff, of Alvaton, KY. Four brothers; also survive Thomas Clark of Bardstown, KY, Charles Clark of Boston, KY, Stephen Clark of Lawrenceburg, KY; Johnny Clark of New Haven, KY: one sister Maureen Durbin of Bardstown, KY; Two grandchildren; Alex and Kathryn Burnham of Alvaton, KY
In addition to her parents, Beckie is preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Clark, and one sister, Victoria Burba.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial in the Allen County Memorial Gardens in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and after 7:30 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2022, until funeral service.

On August 18, 1945, she was born to the late Delva Brown and Dorothy Emery Brown. She married Daniel Velasquez, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1976, in Corydon, IN. She retired from the United States Civil Service, working in finance. She was of the Christian faith and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by four Daughters; Lori Scheuneman, and husband Gary, of Bartow, FL; Katie Niles, and husband Thomas, of Scottsville, KY; Robin Corley, of Lakeland, FL, Barbara Velasquez, of Brandenburg, KY; one brother; Joe Mack Brown of Milton, FL; three sisters; Delma Thomas, of Willisburg, KY; Emma Arnold, of Brandenburg, KY; Nancy Andrake, of Bardstown, KY; Fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Daniel Velasquez Jr, one daughter Angela Michelle Smith and one brother Bill Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

He married Priscilla Charlton Bogle, who survives, on February 11, 1980, in Sumner County, TN. Harold retired from Imperial Fabrications where he worked in the paint department. He attended Tunnel Mission Church.
In addition to his wife, Priscilla Charlton Bogle of Holland, KY; he is survived by two sons; Harold “Davy” Bogle II, of Scottsville, KY; James Malachi Bogle, of Bowling Green, KY; three daughters, Carrie Louise Bogle-Keith, (Jimmy Weaver) of Scottsville, KY; Christie Jo Binion, (“B.J”) of Westmoreland, TN; Bobbie Jo Gutierrez, (Roger) of Garden City, KS; one sister Cathy Morgan, of Morgantown, KY; three brothers John Bogle of Scottsville, KY; Richard Bogle, (Linda) of IN; Tommy Bogle, of  Bowling Green KY; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren also survive.

He was born on September 10, 1938, in Iron Mountain, MI to the late Samuel Chartier and Iola Batterton Chartier. He married Nancy Mae Zeigler on May 28, 1959. Howard graduated from Dakota Bible College where he received his undergraduate. He later graduated from Covington Theological Seminary where he received a master's degree in divinity. He ministered for over sixty-five years. He attended Scottsville Church of Christ.
He is survived by three sons; Mark Chartier (Sheri) of Scottsville, KY; Kirk Chartier of Scottsville, KY; Keith Chartier (Jenni) of Neeah, WI, three daughters; Corby Bartelt, of Scottsville, KY; Cristi Wetzel (Gary) of Scottsville, KY; Corine Louwsma (Jim) of Imlay City, WI, one sister; Sharon Hagberg, Iron Mountain, MI; one half - brother Randy Harvath; fourteen grandchildren; four-great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Chartier and one half-brother, Ray Chartier. James was born on October 1, 1941 in Scottsville, KY to the late Paten Smith Disman and Valina Irene Williams Disman. He married Susie Devillier Desmon, who passed away on February 14, 2000. He married Joyce Weaver Desmon, who survives on January 26, 2002.  He bravely served our country in and retired from the United States Army. After serving in the Army, James worked at Beacon Corporation as a carpenter where he later retired. He was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church and served as a deacon.
In addition to his wife, Joyce Weaver Desmon, of Scottsville, KY; he is survived by one son, James “Bubba” Desmon II, of Scottsville, KY; two daughters, Rebecca Matthews-Gutherie and husband Marty, of Scottsville, KY and Victoria Ovitt and husband George, of Largo, FL; one step-son, Jeromy Smith, of Scottsville, KY; one step-daughter, Kelly Sheren of Scottsville, KY; one sister Opal Hayes, of Scottsville, KY; sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a special grandchild Keylie Smith also survive.
In addition to his parents and first wife, James is preceded in death by one daughter, Pamila Bewley, one step-son, Bobby Murphy, one sister Rose Sullivan and a brother Jr. Disman.

Sandy was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her Bachelors, Masters and Rank I. She worked in the Allen County School system in different roles for 36 years before retiring in the guidance office at Allen County-Scottsville High School. She was the first female ACS head girls’ basketball coach and was the ACS drill team coach. Sandy was a member of the Buck Creek homemakers and a member of White Oak Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, Larry Williams, of Scottsville, KY, she is survived by three sons; Jonathan Williams and wife, Billie Ruth, of Scottsville, KY; Daniel Williams and wife, Rachael, of Travis AFB, CA and Nathaniel Williams and wife, Mandy, of Scottsville, KY.
Two brothers; Randy Napier and wife, Brenda, of Lafayette, TN and Rocky Napier and wife, LeAnn, of Murray, KY. Six grandchildren; Todd, Hadley, Raylan, Annalise, Logan and Audrey also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

In addition to his mother Delores Martz and his wife Peggy Wagner he is survived by three daughters; Crystal Wagner of Effingham, IL, Cheryl Armstrong of Kentland, IN and Kayla Drye of Lakeland, FL; four sisters; Tammy Wagner and Brenda Rich both of Scottsville, KY, Carolyn Earnest and Kristina Friday both of Hosford, FL; nine grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother Elmer Wagner, and a sister Darla Martz.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 5:00PM at The Allen County Coon Hunters Club in Scottsville, KY.

Lonnie was born on August 28, 1945, in Dent County, MO to the late Hugh “Bill” Click and Vergie Kinder Click. He married the late Jo Ann Ervin Click and later married Martha Stagner Click, who survives. He bravely served our country in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, Lonnie was a maintenance foreman for General Motors at the Corvette Bowling Green Assembly Plant. He retired in 2006 after 42 years with the company. He attended the Scottsville Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, Martha Stagner Click of Alvaton, KY, he is survived by one son, Joe Click of Adolphus, KY; one daughter, Cindy Click of Alvaton, KY; three stepsons, Wes Connell of Salem, MO, Jason Connell of Ashland, MO, Elijah Connell of Whitehouse, TX; two stepdaughters, Cathy Thompson of Chesterfield, MO and Becky Hutchinson of Mountain View, MO; Two brothers, Estele Click of Granite City, IL, and Harold D. Click and wife Lavada of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Helen Inman and husband Bobby Stephens of Salem, MO;
Three grandchildren; Johnathan Gill and wife Crystal, Lonnie Gill and Joleen Click. one great-grandchild Jenna Rae Gill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mary Ruth Swallow - July 17, 1927 - September 08, 2021

Obituary Preview: Mary Ruth DeFur Swallow, age 94, of Scottsville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Cal Turner Nursing and Specialty Care, in Scottsville, Kentucky.
She was born July 17, 1927 in Poseyville, Indiana, the youngest daughter of the late Iva Pearl Roberts DeFur and Earl DeFur. She married Frank Swallow Jr. who precedes her in death, on May 28, 1949 in Henderson, Kentucky. Mary Ruth raised her family and then worked as a school librarian before returning to school to become a nurse. She worked in hospitals and nursing homes until her retirement. Mary Ruth was kind, quiet, intelligent, and possessed a witty sense of humor. She was nurturing and generous, as she raised her family and they lovingly referred to her as GrandMary. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and most of all she enjoyed her family.  She was a member of Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her four children; Melinda Swallow of Rockport, IN;  Frank Swallow and wife Kim of Waterloo, IA; Kelly Wanta and husband Steve of Scottsville, KY; Mary Ellen Swallow and husband Jerry of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren; Kathleen Swallow, David Swallow, Adam Wanta, Joseph Swallow, Megan Hoggard, Molly Shords and Amy Wanta; six great-grandchildren; Aria, Aiden, Lola, Omni, Lucy and Laney also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers Everett DeFur and John Lee DeFur; one great-grandchild Samuel Carter Joe Gibbs.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00AM at Scottsville First United Methodist Church in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held  Saturday, October 16, 2021, after 9:00AM until time of service at Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11:00AM at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Scottsville First United Methodist Church; Allen County Special Olympics or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

In addition to his wife Lisa Marie Sigourney Kadwell of Scottsville, KY, he is survived by five sons Steven Kadwell Jr. and wife Tara of Hanceville, AL, Kenneth Kadwell and wife Moriah of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Thomas Peake and wife Samantha of Muir, MI, John Kadwell of Scottsville, KY and Mathew Wittig and wife Hannah of Honor, MI; one daughter Laura Marsh of Allendale, MI; one brother Alvin Kadwell Jr. of Scottsville, KY also survives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Michael Kadwell.
Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at Concord United Methodist Church.

She was born on May 18, 1941, in Allen County, KY  to the late Ralph Cornwell and Violet Tabor Cornwell. She was a graduate of Allen County High School and Belmont University. She was a retired certified registered nurse anesthetist and worked for many years with the Anesthesia Medical Group in Nashville, TN. Patty was a member of the National and the practice consultant for the Tennessee Anesthesia Organization. She was also a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She was a member of Madison General Baptist Church and attended Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Sue Cornwell Jackson of Scottsville, KY; Two Nieces Robbie Jill Davis and husband Ricky of Scottsville, KY; Shannon Hoffmann and husband Glenn of Simpsonville, SC; Two Nephews John Jackson and wife Tiffany of Scottsville, KY and Jason Cornwell and wife Abbye of Simpsonville, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Phillip Cornwell and Camilus Cornwell.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 2:00PM at  Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

Obituary Preview: Darrel Wayne Woods, age 70, of Allen County KY passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at The Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.
He was born on February 25, 1951 to Raymond Hoy Woods and Lillie Newman Woods.  He was saved at the age of 10 in 1961 at Red Hill General Baptist Church.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church and was ordained as a deacon in 1978.  He was song leader and a former Sunday School Teacher.
He married the love of his life, Teresa June (Graves) Woods on August 28, 1970.
They were blessed with three children - Eddie (Nikki) Woods, Sharon (Bryan) Borth and Timmy (Leigh Ann) Woods, all of Allen County.  Also blessed with 5 grandchildren -  Bradley (Raychel) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Justan & Andrew of Lexington, KY & Aaron Borth of Richmond, KY and Hanna Woods of Allen County.  Also survived by His brother, Toy (Teresa Lynn) Woods and several nieces and nephews.
Darrel loved his children and his grandchildren but most of all he loved his Lord. He lived what he believed – like it or not, he would share (tell) you how he felt about things.  He believed in sharing the Gospel with everyone he met.  He loved to sing.  The last few days here on earth, when we could not understand what he was saying we knew when he was singing and praying.
As our hearts break, we know that he is now healed and rejoicing at his eternal home in Heaven.  He has prayed for this day for the past three months and begged us all (even the doctors) to let him die but we all know the One that gives life and the one that taketh life.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Donnie Dixon and Lewie Woods and one sister, Betty Miller.
We thank you all for you love and prayers during this time. We love you, Dad!
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 2:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Walkers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P Reeves. Her parents, P.A. and Ella Hall Palmer. Her brothers, Argus, Vernon, Dean, John Quinton, Cyrel, and Billy Palmer. Her sisters, Mildred Fincher, Mignon Wallace, and Octavia Palmer. Avanelle was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Ryan Henry Reeves.
She is survived by her son, David and his wife, Cathy of Bowling Green, Kentucky, her granddaughter, Mari Catherine Hamm and her husband, Christopher, of Cincinnati, Ohio and her grandson, Benjamin Reeves of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He is also survived by his little dog, Ginger, whom he loved dearly.
