Steven E. Wolfe - April 01, 1957 - February 08, 2024

Departed: 02/08/2024 (Woodsboro)
Obituary Preview: Steven Eugene Wolfe, a lifelong resident of Rocky Ridge, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2024 at the age of 66.
Steve attended and graduated from Catoctin High School in 1975. After high school, he worked for several companies, including the Brick plant, Ralph Baker & Son Concrete, the National Fire Academy and then eventually took a job with FCPS, where he retired as a general maintenance mechanic in April of 2023.
Steve was a very hardworking and humble man who touched the lives of so many and made such a positive impact on his community. He coached both Little League and Senior League baseball and thoroughly enjoyed his days on the fields. But most of all what he loved about the sport was being able to coach his son, Chad. He was also an active member with the Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, where he spent years working the Ham Sandwich stand at their annual carnival, and most recently received his 50 year service pin. Steve also spent countless hours helping to maintain his church building and attending church functions. He was so honored to serve as a deacon for Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren.
In his spare time, Steven enjoyed vacationing with his beloved family to Ocean City and West Virginia where so many memories were made, as well as treating his grandsons and family to a week at Disney. He also enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood, mowing grass, riding his Harley, and helping everyone in need. The word "no" was never in his vocabulary. Above all else, he was a family man and the jokester of the house. He enjoyed every moment he spent with his family and never missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren's events. He never ended a phone call or a visit without telling them he loved them and was so proud of them.
The most important part of Steve's life was his relationship with God and his beautiful and loving high school sweetheart of 49 years. Steve is survived by his wife Faye and their devoted and much loved children, Chad (Caraline) Wolfe and Lacee (Justin) Andrew. He also leaves behind his "Pappy's Boys" who were his biggest blessings in life, Brayden and Landen Andrew and Weston Wolfe. He was also anxiously awaiting the birth of his granddaughter.
Surviving, in addition to his immediate family, are his mother Barbara Gann; brother Terry (Theresa) Wolfe, aunt Linda (John) Skiles; sisters-in-law Judy Kelly, Jean Knipple, Joyce (Bub) Seiss; and brother-in-law, Bob (Sharon) Baker. He also leaves behind longtime friends, Bobby Toms and Dawn and Brian Speak, who he loved so much, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. So many special people have touched his life, each one of you know who you are. He had so many friends, too numerous to mention. With Steve, once a friend, always a friend!
He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Wolfe; his grandparents, Grover and Ruth Wolfe and Charlie and Hazel Renner. Also his brothers, Denny, Dwayne and Fred Wolfe, his mother- and father-in-law, Ralph and Naomi Baker, of who he had profound respect; and family members, Jerry Baker, Forry Knipple and Timmy Kelly.
His family will miss his smile, his laid back personality, his positive outlook on life and all the jokes he played. He was so selfless, so dependable and was truly the rock of his family.
