Obituary Preview: Jeffrey M. Houghton, 81, of Watertown, NY, passed away at home on January 8th, 2023, following a long illness.
Jeff graduated from Carthage High School and enlisted at age 17 in the U.S. Navy as a hospital Corpsman.
Jeff was employed by SMC Hospital as a Certified Surgical Technician/LPN.  Much later he became manager of Central Services.
Jeff enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping.  He was a member of Dry Hill Ski Patrol for several years.  He was an avid motorcyclist and especially enjoyed planning the annual benefit rides for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation by the American Black River Legion Post 673.
He is survived by his wife Betty Zecher Houghton and a daughter Cheryl Richmond with two grandchildren in New Jersey.  A son Paul Houghton and daughter-in-law Tonia Bernard Houghton reside in Cicero.  He was predeceased by a brother John Houghton.  Jeff also has one nephew and a niece.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  It was his wish to be donated to SUNY Upstate Medical Center Anatomical Gift Program.  There will be no services. Online condolence may be made at www.hartandbrucefh.com

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.
The burial will be in the spring at the N. Watertown Cemetery.
Born on February 25, 1968 in Watertown, NY, daughter of the late Douglas and Lorraine (Howie) Parker, she graduated from Belleville Henderson Central School in 1987.
Following school she worked various jobs in the local area before becoming disabled.
She married Ross S. Peterson on August 18, 1995 in Watertown.
She volunteered for the American Heart Association and Relay for Life.  She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and reading.
Surviving are a brother and sister in law, Edmond (Sheri) Parker, VA; her two sisters, Marlene J. Maines, GA and Sandra Parker, Watertown; step son, Joshua Lafer, SC; a niece, Mary Maines and a nephew, Douglas (Melissa) Maines; two great nephews, Richard and King; a great niece, Rayna; and many cousins.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her beloved husband Ross who passed on February 25, 2014.

Brownville, NY- Francis J Mitchell, 96 and a half from Brownville, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, surrounded by family under the care of Hospice. Francis lived a life of devotion to his faith, family, and country.
Born on June 1, 1926 in Rutland, NY, son of Martha (Shannon) and Leo Mitchell. He joined the Navy at 17 with his mother’s permission as long as he promised to return to school and get his diploma. He was discharged from the Navy in June 1946. He kept his promise and returned to get his diploma at IHA where he met his sweet pea, Elizabeth Ward. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific on the U.S.S. Oneida. He received 7 medals during his service. The World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, China Service Medal, Naval Reserve Merit Service Medal, The Domain of the Golden Dragon, Ancient Order of The Deep. He received 1 star in the Battle of Okinawa. He attended the Watertown School of Commerce from 1947 until 1949. He served in the Naval Reserves until 1983. He was inducted as Chief Petty Officer E.M.C. on June 19, 2014. He was chosen to be part of the Honor Flight in 2019.
He married Elizabeth W. “Betty” Mitchell on June 16, 1951 at Holy Family Church in Watertown, NY. Betty was the love of his life. Betty worked for the NY Telephone Co. as an operator for 34 years, she passed away March 15, 2015.
Francis worked at NY Air Brake for ten years and for NYS Department of Transportation as a traffic signal tech for 26 years retiring in 1986.
He was a Life Member of the Watertown Elks Lodge #496, American Legion Post 583, and President of the CSEA, Black River Valley Chapter for 20 years. In the early 70’s Francis worked with then Governor Rockefeller implementing safety measures still in place today.
Among his survivors are his daughters Kathleen E. Mitchell, Brownville, NY and Julie A. Rockwood, Canton, NY; four grandchildren; Timothy J. and Rachel Pond, Pawcatuck, CT; Derek and Sara Pond, Brownville, NY; Heather andTravis Jandrew, Massena, NY; and Benjamin and Kara Rockwood, Gouverneur, NY. 7 great grandchildren, Malory Pond, Declan Pond, Teagan Pond, Ava Jandrew, Cole Jandrew, Charlotte Rockwood, and Emma Rockwood; a sister-in-law, Erma Patchen, Gouverneur, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and beloved wife Betty, he is predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Maurice Mitchell and three sisters, Louise Gardner, Gertrude Siver and Mary Ellen Gardner. His brother-in-law, Thomas Ward.
Francis was a devoted Husband, Father, and Papa. He enjoyed fishing, boating on Lake Ontario, golfing with his daughter and grandsons up till he was 94, and spending time with family. Betty and Francis spent their winters at their home in Zephyrhills, FL and summers at “Camp Betty” on Pillar Point.
The family would like to thank his amazing caregiver, Cindy Clark.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 5 th  at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
A prayer service will be 10:15 a.m. Friday, January 6 th  at the funeral home followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Brownville. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenwood Cemetery

Obituary Preview: Carol C. Allen, 79, of Watertown, NY, passed away on January 2, 2023 at the Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on July 29, 1943 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Harold and Marie (Castro) Symonds.  She graduated from Watertown High School and attended JCC.
She married Larry V. Allen on August 24, 1974 in Watertown and the marriage was blessed in the catholic church in Theresa on August 24, 1984.  The couple resided in Rodman from 1974 until 1979 and then moved to Theresa where they resided until 1995.  The couple owned a cottage on Pillar Point, and they moved there where they built a home.  In March of 2014 they moved to Watertown.
Carol began her career as a secretary for Black Clawson and at the Fort Drum library.  She then was a legal secretary working for various law firms in the local area before working for the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office in Watertown until she retired in 2003. She also operated a couple of different restaurants throughout the years.
Carol enjoyed cooking and baking and would always have more than enough food to accommodate any guests at her home. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and she welcomed any and all guests at any time to gather at her house. She was a kind and loving soul, and would always put the needs of others before her own.
Among her survivors are her beloved husband, Larry V. Allen; three sons and a daughter in law, William Kehoe Jr., Sandy Pond, NY, Lawrence Allen, Southwick, MA, and Richard "Rick" (Sara) Allen, Watertown, NY; five grandchildren, William (Gina) Kehoe III, Kristen (Gary) Kehoe-Cooper, Logan, Emily and Jenna Allen; two great grandchildren, Brynley and Shyla; a brother and sister in law, Nelson (Carolyn) Symonds, Dexter, NY; a sister and brother in law, Rosemarie (Michael) Bowers, Watertown; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her son, John “Jay” Allen.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  It was her wish to be cremated and services will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.

She was born on June 28, 1967 in Cooperstown, NY, daughter of Carl and Mary (Eagan) Newman.  Patricia attended Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg, FL.  She married Phil Cox in January of 1989 in San Diego, CA, and the couple later divorced in 2004.  She moved to New York in 1998 where she was a homemaker.  She loved the outdoors, fishing, crossword puzzles, coloring, dolphins and Elmo and most of all  spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Among her survivors are her three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gregory Newman, Philadelphia, NY, Robert (Brittany) Newman, Carthage, NY and Michael (Sarah) Burke, Dexter, NY; five grandchildren, Logan, Madison, Landen, Lillian and Paxton; five siblings, Carol Barhydt Devereese, VA, Robert "Bob" (Margie) Saunders, OR, Shirley Mitchell, WA, Millie Elmandorf, VA and Carl Newman Jr., OH; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents are two sisters, Connie Dallas and Sharon Newman.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  It was her wish to be cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life and burial in the spring.  .

She was born on March 7, 1983 in Watertown, NY,  daughter of the late Clinton Maxfield and late Kathy Robinson and she attended Watertown High School.  Following school she received her certificate as an LPN from BOCES.  She then worked at Mercy Hospital as an LPN up until the hospital closed. She married Carolyne M. Lessard-Neron, who serves in the US Army, on April 15, 2015 in Watertown.  The couple were stationed at Fort Belvoir in Virginia from 2018 until 2022.  They are currently stationed at Hunter Army AirField in Savannah, Georgia.
Ashley was always helping and guiding people, being a sounding board to many. She was a trivia buff and a ferocious skip-bo and phase ten player. She loved to learn anything in the medical field. She had a way to make Wal-Mart look like Gucci and always carried herself with class. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her wife Carolyne M. Lessard-Neron; two children, Jaylin and Naijah Roberson; Savannah, GA, a grandson, Khari Roberson, Watertown, NY; three sisters, Kialha Hazlett, Watertown, NY, Audrey Maxfield Brasheer husband Ron Brasheer, Atlanta, GA and Susan Maxfield, Denver, CO; two brothers, Arthur Robinson and his husband, Andrew Baldwin, San Antonio, TX and Eric Robinson and his companion Abby Wright, Newport, KY; and a niece and two nephews.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30th at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.

He was born on December 2, 1954 in Puerto Rico, son of Manuel and Rafaela (Robles) Torres.  Hector grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in the early 1970's.  He held various jobs until becoming disabled.
He was a member of the Tabernacle of Worship in Watertown and he loved to read the Bible.
Among his survivors are his three children, Manuel Torres, MD, David Torres, OH and Hector Torres, FL; 8 grandchildren; a sister and brother in law, Carmen Torres and Carlos Canales, Watertown, NY; a brother, Jorge DeLeon, Puerto Rico; many nieces and nephews, Sol Maria Canales, Amy Canales, Fernando Canales, Jeannie Cortez and Maria Cortez and many more.

Alan W. Wright - June 18, 1935 - December 21, 2022

Obituary Preview: Alan W. Wright, 87, of Watertown, NY, passed away December 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital in Binghamton, NY.
He was born on June 18, 1935, in Black River, NY, son of John and Helen (Hadley) Wright and he graduated from Black River High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football.
Alan worked for Russell Finch in Black River as a lumberjack for 30 years.  He often reminisced about his work clearing the land for the construction of I81.  He then worked at the State Office Building in Watertown as a maintenance worker for 25 years up until he retired.
He married Shirley Topping on June 11, 1959 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  The couple resided in Watertown where Shirley was a beautician out of their home for 30 years. She passed away on December 6, 2014.
Alan enjoyed spending time at his camp on Lake Ontario with his family and friends, snowmobiling, driving his Arctic Cat side-by-side, gardening, and manicuring his lawn. He had a great love for animals and adored spending time with his children and grandchildren. His last days were spent surrounded with love in the country with his son George's family, where he was able to continue to tell his stories, take trips, eat good food, and mow a bigger lawn as many times as he'd like.
Among his survivors are his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel A. Wright, Redwood, NY, Stephen (Karen) Wright, Adams Center, NY and George H. (Robin) Wright, Harpursville, NY; 4 grandchildren, Jessica A. (Logan) Mills, Nichole (Leo) LeMay, Sophia Wright and Nathaniel A. Wright; two great grandchildren, Aria and Nora; a brother, George Wright, Pulaski, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a son, John Wright and two brothers Donald and Jack Wright.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.
The funeral service will immediately follow the calling hours on Monday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in the Sanford Corners Cemetery in the spring.

Obituary Preview: Thomas D. Squires,77 , formerly of NNY, passed away on December 17, 2022 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL.
He was born on October 29, 1945 in Watertown, NY son of Donald and Doris Squires.  Tom graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1963, Oswego State in 1967, he attended Wadham’s Hall in Ogdensburg and graduated with a Master’s Degree from Christ the King Seminary in Buffalo, NY in 1975.
Thomas served as a Diocesan Priest in NNY as well as a teacher and counselor in Tampa, FL.  Thomas took a leave of absence from his duties as a priest and began working as a Postal Supervisor at the US Post Office in St. Petersburg, FL until he became disabled.  Up until he became ill Thomas continued to be passionate about serving his community.
Among his survivors are his brother and sister in law, Richard and Catherine Satimore, Hoosick Falls, NY and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father and mother, his step father, Ernest Satimore and a brother, Stephen Squires.
Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. Burial will take place in the Black River Cemetery at the convenience of his family.

Mr. Miller was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Rutland Highway Department for 43 years, retiring on April 6, 2018.
He enjoyed frequenting the local diners and harassing the help and meeting up with good friends.
Among his survivors are his wife, Barbara Miller, Albion, NY; four children, Timothy (Amy) Miller, Copenhagen, NY, James Miller and Andrea O'Connor, Watertown, NY, Thomas (Hope) Miller, Copenhagen, NY and Bridgit Ayen and Tim Woodworth, Philadelphia, NY; five grandchildren, Gregory, Henry, Caden, Zoey and Halle; a sister in law, Nancy Miller, Watertown, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a son, Matthew John Miller and a brother, Douglas Miller on September 5, 2021.

He worked at Play Mor Bowling Lanes as an assistant manager for many years. He then went to work for CSX as a track foreman, retiring after 31 years. He enjoyed going to Turning Stone, bowling, and he loved his dogs.
He married Muriel C. Hawley on April 27, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  The couple resided in Watertown.  Muriel worked at Empsalls’s, Karen Charles and currently is a home health care aid.
Among his survivors are his beloved wife, Muriel C., Of Watertown, NY; three children, Donald Pierce, Watertown, NY, Nancy (Brian) Lear, Dexter, NY and Edison Pierce and his fiancé, Dena Holmes, Schenectady, NY; two grandchildren, Joshua Lear and Brian Lear and best friend and dog, Skippy.

Ellen "Connie" Frost - November 28, 1927 - December 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: Ellen “Connie” Frost, 95, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident.
She was born on November 28, 1927 in Tylerville, NY, daughter of Samuel D. and Inez C. Lortie Ralph.  She graduated from West Carthage High School in 1944 and Watertown School of Commerce in 1945.
She married Herbert F. Frost on October 5, 1946.  He worked for the Jefferson County Highway Department where he was a welder, he passed away in 1982.
Connie was a secretary at the Watertown Recreation Department, bookkeeper at local milks plants in Watertown, owned and operated Hobbies International in DeLand, FL and was a cook at a restaurant in Florida.
She was a 4H Leader, Girl Scouts Leader and very active in the organization.  She and her husband moved to Florida in 1976 and she was the editor of the Pine Lakes Monthly Newsletter, a member of the Pine Lakes Fire Department Auxiliary and the Community Club.  She returned from Florida and resided in Cape Vincent where she was an active member in the Cape Vincent Fire Department Auxiliary.
Among her survivors are a son and daughter in law, Michael(Brenda) Frost, New Haven, NY; five daughters and three sons in law, Mary Bachner, Sackets Harbor, NY, Maureen (Michael) Pedroncelli, Dexter, NY,  Mabel “April” Frost-Johnikin, Watertown, NY, Jeanne (Gary) Johnson, Deer Trail, CO and Tracy (Michael) Morgan, Cape Vincent, NY; a sister, Mary Collins, Chaumont, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she is predeceased by a son, Clifford Frost; a daughter, Margaret Ann Frost; a granddaughter, Karlea LaPlante, three grandsons, Jesse Paul, Joseph Seamon, and Billy Paul; a one son in law, Donnie Bachner; five sisters, Sally Coleman,  Ethel Famoly,  Mabel Ralph,  Helen Porter and Shirley Ralph.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Friday, December 16th at the Sackets Harbor American Legion from 4 to 7 p.m.

She enjoyed crocheting, watching old movies on TV Land, going to the park to walk her dogs Finnegan and Lucky, feeding the geese, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Among her survivors are three children, Valarie (Shawn) Gallant, TN, Steven (Wendy) Johnson, TN and Zoeann Olin, Watertown, NY; six grandchildren, Jessie (Rob) Holezer, Robert Olin, David (Heather) Tanner Jr., Lauren Olin-Faljean, Daniel (Fabi) Tanner and Donovan Tanner; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by a brother, John Hladun, and four sisters, Mary Seeber, Anna Ince, Sophie Lawrence and Julia Glowaski.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday,  January 7th at the Glenwood Cemetery.

ANDY WAS BORN ON MARCH 10, 1959, IN HEMPSTEAD, LONG ISLAND, NY, THE SON OF THE LATE JOHN AND CAROLYN (COYLE) HERMANOWSKI.  AFTER HIS FAMILY RELOCATED TO THE NORTH COUNTRY IN 1974, ANDY ATTENDED CARTHAGE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL WHERE HE GRADUATED IN AUGUST OF 1977.
HE MARRIED THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, CATHY J FARRELL ON NOVEMBER 8, 1980, AT BLACK RIVER METHODIST CHURCH.  THE COUPLE RESIDED IN FELTS MILLS WHERE THEY MADE A MILLION WONDERFUL MEMORIES WITH THEIR SON, ANDREW JR. AKA “LITTLE ANDY”.
ANDY BEGAN HIS CAREER WORKING AT AMERICAN WOODSPLITTERS IN BLACK RIVER NY IN 1977.  HE SAID IT WAS THE BEST JOB HE’D EVER HAD BECAUSE IT WAS HARD WORK AND THEY LEFT HIM ALONE TO DO IT.  HE BEGAN WORKING AT THE NEW YORK AIR BRAKE LATER THAT YEAR AND CONTINUED THERE UNTIL AUGUST OF 1987 WHEN HE BEGAN HIS CAREER AS A NYS CORRECTION OFFICER.  HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO CAPE VINCENT CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WHEN IT OPENED IN 1988 AND CONTINUED TO WORK THERE WITH HIS CAPE VINCENT FAMILY WHO FONDLY REFERRED TO HIM AS “HERM” OR “BIG HERM” UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN FEBRUARY OF 2021.
ANDY HAD MANY HOBBIES, CAMPING WITH HIS FAMILY, HUNTING, KAYAK FISHING, BUT ICE FISHING WAS HIS PASSION, MOSTLY BECAUSE HE WAS ABLE TO SHARE THE EXPERIENCE WITH HIS SON.  ANDY WOULD OFTEN BE SEEN SHOVELING SNOW WITH BARE HANDS AND CLAIMED HE WAS “IN TRAINING” FOR ICE FISHING SEASON AND WHEN OTHERS WOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COLD WINTERS, ANDY’S COMMENT WOULD ALWAYS BE “MAKING ICE!” BUT HIS GREATEST LOVE WAS SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HIS PRECIOUS GRANDDAUGHTERS.  HE ALWAYS SAID THEY WERE THE LIGHT OF HIS LIFE.  NOTHING MADE HIM HAPPIER THAN HEARING THEM LAUGH AND HE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TOOK TO ACHIEVE THAT. ANDY WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS STRENGTH IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD.  KNOWN AS “BIG ANDY” TO HIS FAMILY, HE WAS A GENTLE GIANT WHO’S QUICK WIT AND SENSE OF HUMOR WERE SECOND TO NONE.  HE WAS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A QUIET WAY TO PLAY A HARMLESS JOKE ON AN UNSUSPECTING COWORKER OR FAMILY MEMBER.  NO ONE WAS IMMUNE.  FORTUNATELY, HIS LEGACY WILL LIVE ON AS HE HAS TAUGHT HIS SON AND GRANDDAUGHTERS WELL!

Obituary Preview: Joshua A. Morgan, 46, retired army medic of Theresa NY, passed away on November 17, 2022 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born on October 21, 1976, in Peoria, Illinois, son of Kenneth and Sharon (Dotzert) Morgan.  Josh, beloved Dad, Husband, Brother, Son and Veteran was predeceased by his father, Kenny Morgan.   Joshua graduated from Washington Community High School in 1995. He joined the Army Reserves right after high school.  He enlisted into active duty in 1998.
He married Alison L. Stacey on October 26, 2002 in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Josh was a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army. He retired from Active duty in 2017 with over 20 years of service. He did 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan.  He was awarded the Army Combat Medical Badge and received the Global War on Terrorism Medal, War in Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal (6th award), Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), Army Unit Award, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal with Bronze Service Star
He did overseas tours with his family in Germany and South Korea and stateside tours in Fort Knox, KY., Natick, MA. (Natick Labs), San Antonio, TX. (Camp Bullis), Fort Belvoir, VA., With his last tour being in Fort Drum, NY.
He was proud to have served his country and enjoyed his 2nd career with FedEx Express in Watertown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alison L. Morgan and their three amazing children, Joshua F., Madelyn G., and Samuel E. Morgan, all of Theresa; his mother, Sharon K. Morgan; a sister and brother in law, Jennifer L. Morgan and Peter Schmookler, Austin, TX; his In-Laws, Michael and Diane Stacey Hudson, MA; his brother and sister in law, Michael K. and Jessica Stacey, VA, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a nerd from before it was fashionable, with a love of Star Wars, Marvel, video games, comic con, D&D, board games and reading sci-fi, fantasy, and adventure fiction. Josh was a devoted husband, married to his  sweetheart, Aly, for 20 years. His pride and joy was being a dad. He attended all lacrosse, football and basketball games he could. He helped with equipment loading and unloading for field band. He loved fishing with his kids and making Sunday breakfast. He would always plan and create any home renovations that Aly wildly dreamed up.  The children would always participate in the projects.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 27th from 1to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 28th at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Watertown.
A  celebration of life will follow the burial on Monday at the Philadelphia American Legion.

He was born on March 9, 1961, in Watertown, NY, son of William J. and Olive (Hubbard) Paul.  William attended school in Carthage, NY.
In September of 1993, he married Peggy Fuller from Carthage in Burrville, NY.  Peggy has worked at the Samaritan Medical Center and Samaritan Keep Nursing Home as a nursing assistant for 42 years. Since 1989, William has worked 31 years at Fabco in Watertown as a foreman, retiring in 2020 due to disability.
William loved to go fishing, was an avid Denver Broncos Fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon fanatic, most of all he loved spending time with his family and having family gatherings and  barbecuing with family and friends.
Among his survivors are his wife, Peggy A. Paul; six children, April and Kiera of CO, Timothy (Jennifer) Paul, Copenhagen, NY, Tyler Fuller, Carthage, NY, Bryton (Stephanie) Paul, Dallas, TX and Malcolm Paul, Watertown, NY; two grandchildren, Olivia and Carson and many more grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers in law, Donna (Roy) Wayland, Ortonville, MI, Sharon (Leonard) Zaffarano, Gouverneur, NY and Sandra Hopseker, Bath, NY; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by two children, Jesse Paul and William J. Paul III and two brothers, Warren Hopseker Jr. and Matthew Paul.

She worked in the deli at Price Chopper and was a cook in Clayton before moving to Plattsburgh in 2020.  Alicha loved listening to music, singing and she was looking forward to becoming a mother. She always enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with friends and family.
Among her survivors are her beloved daughter Lailah Snyder; her fiancé, Trenton Snyder, Plattsburgh, NY; her father and his companion, Adam St Croix and Crystal Crosbie, Chaumont, NY; four siblings, Ashley, Ariel, Marisa and Carter St Croix, all of Watertown; her paternal grandparents, Ann and Joseph St Croix, Chaumont, NY; many aunts, uncles and cousins and her sweet fur baby, Bella girl.
She is predeceased by her mother Shannon Exford.

She attended Jefferson Community College for three years and received her Associates Degree in Science and attended the nursing program.
She enjoyed knitting, gardening and doing crafts.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter in law, Donald G. and Wanda Bedore, Watertown, NY; a daughter, Antoinette Bedore, Watertown, NY; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister and her spouse, Marilyn E. Bush and Carol Schram, Stuart, FL.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by a son, Richard Bedore in 1998 and a grandson Richard “Ricky” Bedore in 2021.
A calling hour will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday November 16th at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.

He was born on December 22, 1942 in Gouverneur, NY, son of Charles and Juanita (Cole) Kerr.  He attended Clifton Fine High School.
He married Clarine Reynolds on February 10, 1960 and the couple resided in Star Lake.  Gaylord worked at the Newton Falls Paper Co. in Newton Falls, NY where he was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years.  Clarine was a homemaker; she passed away July 25, 2019.
Gaylord and his wife were members of the Aldrich ATV Club and they loved to go hiking and camping.  He was a true Adirondack guy who loved to hunt and fish, swim in the pond, traveling, playing basketball and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oswegatchie, NY.
Among his survivors are his six children, Tammy Simmons, Watertown, NY, Amy (James) Fluno, Watertown, NY, Daro Kerr, Watertown, NY, Angela Kerr, Watertown, NY, Juanita (John) Deloney, Star Lake, NY and Melissa Norman, Watertown, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and his wife he is predeceased by five siblings, Brent Kerr, Sandra Arquette, Patricia Klock, Lola Lane, and Carlton Kerr.

She was born on May 4, 1936 in Theresa, NY, daughter of Raymond F. and Ruth H. (Morse) Robinson.  Patsy attended school in Theresa, NY until she left early to help on the family farm and  work at the family's meat market.
She married Lyle W. Randall Jr. on July 8, 1952 at the Faith United Chapel in Watertown and the couple resided in Watertown.  Patsy went back to school to receive her GED and went on to become a Nurse Technician.  She worked for the Orthopedic Group in Watertown for 26 years, retiring in 1979.
Patsy was very proud to be a breast cancer survivor, she loved canning, crocheting, and reading a good book.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters and a son in law, Renauda R. Lacey, Philadelphia, NY and Shawn M. (Jeffrey T.) Clement, Bloomville, NY; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Franklin) Sibley and Steven (Russell) Clement; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Donovan and Tyler; a brother and sister in law, Guy (Linda) Robinson, Brownville, NY; a sister, Madeline Drake, Watertown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lyle W. Randall Jr.,  who died on April 12, 2001, her son Lyle W. Randall III who died on July 8, 1974; and 10 siblings, Mazola Dollinger, Beverly Bates, Shirley, Lyall, Ralph, Raymond, Joseph, Frank, Lynn and John Robinson.
A calling hour will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15th at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.  The Memorial Service will immediately follow calling hours at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday, November 4th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 31385 County Rt. 4, Cape Vincent (Rosiere).  The burial will immediately following in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
He was born on April 28, 1948, in Watertown, NY, son of Leon F. and Ethel Mae (Williams) Wiley.  He graduated from Cape Vincent High School and attended Brockport College.  He married Donna Wood, of Clayton, on April 15, 1967 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rosier, NY and the couple resided in Cape Vincent.  Bob was an Insurance Agent for Prudential and an Independent Insurance Agent for Robbin’s Grandjean Insurance Agency which later became known as Grant E. Dier Insurance Agency for several years, retiring in 2020.
Donna has been a registered nurse for over 53 years, retiring in 2021.
Bob was a member and former president of the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce and Cape Vincent Lion’s Club, soccer official and assignor for the Jefferson- Lewis Soccer Officiating Board, he coached for the Cape Vincent Youth Commission, American Legion ball, modified sports, Bob was an assistant baseball coach for his son in law, Shannon Amo and a scorekeeper at Thousand Islands High School.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, he enjoyed collecting and selling baseball cards, going to the casino, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting and school events.
Among his survivors are his beloved wife, Donna J Wiley, Cape Vincent, NY; three children and their spouses, Steven (Sandra) Wiley, Marcellus, NY, Julie (TJ) Robbins, Cape Vincent, NY, Jill (Shannon) Amo, Cape Vincent, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Sharon Wiley, Cape Vincent, NY; 7 grandchildren, Trevor (Megan) Robbins, Bryce Wiley, Morgan (Justin) Selley, Ethan Wiley, Madyson Amo, Kennady Amo and Addie Wiley; and a great grandson is on the way.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a brother, Frederick L. Wiley and a grandson Grady Robert Wiley.

John was born on August 14, 1930 in Den Helder, Netherlands, son of Okke and Francine (Van Domburg) Wagenaar.
He grew up in the Netherlands and received his education at St. Bavo Psychiatric Institute in Noordwykerhout and the R.K.Z hospital in Hilversum to become a Registered Nurse.  On August 11, 1955 he married Maria T. Mantjes in Wormerveer .  The couple emigrated to the United States in 1958 with their son Johnny aboard the S.S. Maasdam.  They settled in Watertown where he was employed as an O.R. nurse at the former Mercy Hospital.  He then became a pharmaceutical representative for Wyeth and serviced the North Country for over 30 years. John was also the Town Justice for the Town of Champion from 1979 until 1992. He and his family resided in Black River before moving to Champion. In 2001 John and his wife Maria moved to Charlton, NY to be near their daughter Rose.  Then in 2020 he moved to West Glenville, NY where he resided with his daughter. John enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing, hunting, time spent at his hunting camp and was also an avid reader
Among his survivors are his four children, Sons--Col. Richard Wagenaar (retired Army), Fairfax, VA, Col. Eric Wagenaar (retired Army) his wife Beth , Chaumont, NY,  Capt. Robert Wagenaar (retired Army) and his wife Rhonda , Lagrange, GA , and  daughter-Rose and husband Jim Holbrook, West Glenville, NY and  his nine grandchildren  and also a sister, Caroline Barber, of the Netherlands.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his wife Maria in 2003 Charlton, NY and a son John Wagenaar in 1968 Black River, NY.
